Psalm 29

A Psalm by David. 1Ascribe to TheIAM, you sons of the mighty, ascribe to TheIAM glory and strength. 2Ascribe to TheIAM the glory due to his name. Worship TheIAM in holy array. 3TheIAM's voice is on the waters. The God of glory thunders, even TheIAM on many waters. 4TheIAM's voice is powerful. TheIAM's voice is full of majesty. 5The voice of TheIAM breaks the cedars. Yes, TheIAM breaks in pieces the cedars of Lebanon. 6He makes them also to skip like a calf; Lebanon and Sirion like a young, wild ox. 7TheIAM's voice strikes with flashes of lightning. 8TheIAM's voice shakes the wilderness. TheIAM shakes the wilderness of Kadesh. 9TheIAM's voice makes the deer calve, and strips the forests bare. In his temple everything says, "Glory!" 10TheIAM sat enthroned at the Flood. Yes, TheIAM sits as King forever. 11TheIAM will give strength to his people. TheIAM will bless his people with peace. A Psalm. A Song for the Dedication of the Temple.
