Numbers 18:14-24

11 verses

Numbers Chapter 18

14"Everything devoted in Israel shall be yours.

15Everything that opens the womb, of all flesh which they offer to ForeverOne, both of man and animal shall be yours: nevertheless you shall surely redeem the firstborn of man, and you shall redeem the firstborn of unclean animals.

16You shall redeem those who are to be redeemed of them from a month old, according to your estimation, for five shekels of money, after the shekel of the sanctuary (the same is twenty gerahs).

17"But you shall not redeem the firstborn of a cow, or the firstborn of a sheep, or the firstborn of a goat. They are holy. You shall sprinkle their blood on the altar, and shall burn their fat for an offering made by fire, for a pleasant aroma to ForeverOne.

18Their flesh shall be yours, as the wave offering breast and as the right thigh, it shall be yours.

19All the wave offerings of the holy things, which the children of Israel offer to ForeverOne, have I given you, and your sons and your daughters with you, as a portion forever: it is a covenant of salt forever before ForeverOne to you and to your seed with you." 20ForeverOne said to Aaron, "You shall have no inheritance in their land, neither shall you have any portion among them. I am your portion and your inheritance among the children of Israel.

21"To the children of Levi, behold, I have given all the tithe in Israel for an inheritance, in return for their service which they serve, even the service of the Tent of Meeting.

22Henceforth the children of Israel shall not come near the Tent of Meeting, lest they bear sin, and die.

23But the Levites shall do the service of the Tent of Meeting, and they shall bear their iniquity: it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations; and among the children of Israel they shall have no inheritance.

24For the tithe of the children of Israel, which they offer as a wave offering to ForeverOne, I have given to the Levites for an inheritance: therefore I have said to them, 'Among the children of Israel they shall have no inheritance.'"

Jeremiah 44:20-45:0

16 verses

Jeremiah Chapter 44

20Then Jeremiah said to all the people, to the men, and to the women, even to all the people who had given him an answer, saying, 21The incense that you burned in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, you and your fathers, your kings and your princes, and the people of the land, didn't ForeverOne remember them, and didn't it come into his mind?

22so that ForeverOne could no longer bear, because of the evil of your doings, and because of the abominations which you have committed; therefore your land has become a desolation, and an astonishment, and a curse, without inhabitant, as it is this day.

23Because you have burned incense, and because you have sinned against ForeverOne, and have not obeyed the voice of ForeverOne, nor walked in his law, nor in his statutes, nor in his testimonies; therefore this evil has happened to you, as it is this day.

24Moreover Jeremiah said to all the people, and to all the women, Hear the word of ForeverOne, all Judah who are in the land of Egypt: 25Thus says ForeverOne of Armies, the God of Israel, saying, You and your wives have both spoken with your mouths, and with your hands have fulfilled it, saying, We will surely perform our vows that we have vowed, to burn incense to the queen of the sky, and to pour out drink offerings to her: establish then your vows, and perform your vows.

26Therefore hear the word of ForeverOne, all Judah who dwell in the land of Egypt: Behold, I have sworn by my great name, says ForeverOne, that my name shall no more be named in the mouth of any man of Judah in all the land of Egypt, saying, As the Lord ForeverOne lives.

27Behold, I watch over them for evil, and not for good; and all the men of Judah who are in the land of Egypt shall be consumed by the sword and by the famine, until there be an end of them.

28Those who escape the sword shall return out of the land of Egypt into the land of Judah, few in number; and all the remnant of Judah, who have gone into the land of Egypt to live there, shall know whose word shall stand, mine, or theirs.

29This shall be the sign to you, says ForeverOne, that I will punish you in this place, that you may know that my words shall surely stand against you for evil: 30Thus says ForeverOne, Behold, I will give Pharaoh Hophra king of Egypt into the hand of his enemies, and into the hand of those who seek his life; as I gave Zedekiah king of Judah into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, who was his enemy, and sought his life.

Jeremiah Chapter 45

1The message that Jeremiah the prophet spoke to Baruch the son of Neriah, when he wrote these words in a book at the mouth of Jeremiah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, saying, 2Thus says ForeverOne, the God of Israel, to you, Baruch: 3You said, Woe is me now! for ForeverOne has added sorrow to my pain; I am weary with my groaning, and I find no rest.

4You shall tell him, Thus says ForeverOne: Behold, that which I have built will I break down, and that which I have planted I will pluck up; and this in the whole land.

5Do you seek great things for yourself? Don't seek them; for, behold, I will bring evil on all flesh, says ForeverOne; but your life will I give to you for a prey in all places where you go.

Section 3

Psalm 109

32 verses

Psalm 109

For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David.

1God of my praise, don't remain silent, 2for they have opened the mouth of the wicked and the mouth of deceit against me. They have spoken to me with a lying tongue.

3They have also surrounded me with words of hatred, and fought against me without a cause.

4In return for my love, they are my adversaries; but I am in prayer.

5They have rewarded me evil for good, and hatred for my love.

6Set a wicked man over him. Let an adversary stand at his right hand.

7When he is judged, let him come forth guilty. Let his prayer be turned into sin.

8Let his days be few. Let another take his office.

9Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow.

10Let his children be wandering beggars. Let them be sought from their ruins.

11Let the creditor seize all that he has. Let strangers plunder the fruit of his labor.

12Let there be none to extend kindness to him, neither let there be any to have pity on his fatherless children.

13Let his posterity be cut off. In the generation following let their name be blotted out.

14Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered by ForeverOne. Don't let the sin of his mother be blotted out.

15Let them be before ForeverOne continually, that he may cut off the memory of them from the earth; 16because he didn't remember to show kindness, but persecuted the poor and needy man, the broken in heart, to kill them.

17Yes, he loved cursing, and it came to him. He didn't delight in blessing, and it was far from him.

18He clothed himself also with cursing as with his garment. It came into his inward parts like water, like oil into his bones.

19Let it be to him as the clothing with which he covers himself, for the belt that is always around him.

20This is the reward of my adversaries from ForeverOne, of those who speak evil against my soul.

21But deal with me, ForeverOne the Lord, for your name's sake, because your loving kindness is good, deliver me; 22for I am poor and needy. My heart is wounded within me.

23I fade away like an evening shadow. I am shaken off like a locust.

24My knees are weak through fasting. My body is thin and lacks fat.

25I have also become a reproach to them. When they see me, they shake their head.

26Help me, ForeverOne, my God. Save me according to your loving kindness; 27that they may know that this is your hand; that you, ForeverOne, have done it.

28They may curse, but you bless. When they arise, they will be shamed, but your servant shall rejoice.

29Let my adversaries be clothed with dishonor. Let them cover themselves with their own shame as with a robe.

30I will give great thanks to ForeverOne with my mouth. Yes, I will praise him among the multitude.

31For he will stand at the right hand of the needy, to save him from those who judge his soul.

Section 4

2 Corinthians 7:12-8:15

20 verses

2 Corinthians Chapter 7

12So although I wrote to you, I wrote not for his cause that did the wrong, nor for his cause that suffered the wrong, but that your earnest care for us might be revealed in you in the sight of God.

13So we have been comforted. In our comfort we rejoiced the more exceedingly for the joy of Titus, because his spirit has been refreshed by you all.

14For if in anything I have boasted to him on your behalf, I was not disappointed. But as we spoke all things to you in truth, so our glorying also which I made before Titus was found to be truth.

15His affection is more abundantly toward you, while he remembers all of your obedience, how with fear and trembling you received him.

16I rejoice that in everything I am confident concerning you.

2 Corinthians Chapter 8

1Moreover, brothers, we make known to you the grace of God which has been given in the assemblies of Macedonia, 2how in much proof of affliction, the abundance of their joy and their deep poverty abounded to the riches of their generosity.

3For according to their power, I testify, yes and beyond their power, they gave of their own accord, 4begging us with much entreaty to receive this grace and the fellowship in the service to the saints.

5This was not as we had expected, but first they gave their own selves to the Lord, and to us through the will of God.

6So we urged Titus, that as he had made a beginning before, so he would also complete in you this grace.

7But as you abound in everything, in faith, utterance, knowledge, all earnestness, and in your love to us, see that you also abound in this grace.

8I speak not by way of commandment, but as proving through the earnestness of others the sincerity also of your love.

9For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus AnointedOne, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that you through his poverty might become rich.

10I give a judgment in this: for this is expedient for you who were the first to start a year ago, not only to do, but also to be willing.

11But now complete the doing also, that as there was the readiness to be willing, so there may be the completion also out of your ability.

12For if the readiness is there, it is acceptable according to what you have, not according to what you don't have.

13For this is not that others may be eased and you distressed, 14but for equality. Your abundance at this present time supplies their lack, that their abundance also may become a supply for your lack; that there may be equality.

15As it is written, "He who gathered much had nothing left over, and he who gathered little had no lack."
