Numbers 12

Numbers Chapter 12

1Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Cushite woman whom he had married; for he had married a Cushite woman.

2They said, "Has ForeverOne indeed spoken only with Moses? Hasn't he spoken also with us?" And ForeverOne heard it.

3Now the man Moses was very humble, above all the men who were on the surface of the earth.

4ForeverOne spoke suddenly to Moses, to Aaron, and to Miriam, "You three come out to the Tent of Meeting!" The three of them came out.

5ForeverOne came down in a pillar of cloud, and stood at the door of the Tent, and called Aaron and Miriam; and they both came forward.

6He said, "Hear now my words. If there is a prophet among you, I ForeverOne will make myself known to him in a vision. I will speak with him in a dream.

7My servant Moses is not so. He is faithful in all my house.

8With him I will speak mouth to mouth, even plainly, and not in riddles; and he shall see ForeverOne's form. Then why were you not afraid to speak against my servant, against Moses?" 9The anger of ForeverOne was kindled against them; and he departed.

10The cloud departed from over the Tent; and behold, Miriam was leprous, as white as snow. Aaron looked at Miriam, and behold, she was leprous.

11Aaron said to Moses, "Oh, my lord, please don't count this sin against us, in which we have done foolishly, and in which we have sinned.

12Let her not, I pray, be as one dead, of whom the flesh is half consumed when he comes out of his mother's womb." 13Moses cried to ForeverOne, saying, "Heal her, God, I beg you!" 14ForeverOne said to Moses, "If her father had but spit in her face, shouldn't she be ashamed seven days? Let her be shut up outside of the camp seven days, and after that she shall be brought in again." 15Miriam was shut up outside of the camp seven days, and the people didn't travel until Miriam was brought in again.

16Afterward the people traveled from Hazeroth, and encamped in the wilderness of Paran.

Jeremiah 32:6-30

Jeremiah Chapter 32

6Jeremiah said, The word of ForeverOne came to me, saying, 7Behold, Hanamel the son of Shallum your uncle shall come to you, saying, Buy my field that is in Anathoth; for the right of redemption is yours to buy it.

8So Hanamel my uncle's son came to me in the court of the guard according to the word of ForeverOne, and said to me, Please buy my field that is in Anathoth, which is in the land of Benjamin; for the right of inheritance is yours, and the redemption is yours; buy it for yourself. Then I knew that this was the word of ForeverOne.

9I bought the field that was in Anathoth of Hanamel my uncle's son, and weighed him the money, even seventeen shekels of silver.

10I subscribed the deed, and sealed it, and called witnesses, and weighed him the money in the balances.

11So I took the deed of the purchase, both what was sealed, containing the terms and conditions, and what was open; 12and I delivered the deed of the purchase to Baruch the son of Neriah, the son of Mahseiah, in the presence of Hanamel my uncle's son, and in the presence of the witnesses who subscribed the deed of the purchase, before all the Jews who sat in the court of the guard.

13I commanded Baruch before them, saying, 14Thus says ForeverOne of Armies, the God of Israel: Take these deeds, this deed of the purchase which is sealed, and this deed which is open, and put them in an earthen vessel; that they may continue many days.

15For thus says ForeverOne of Armies, the God of Israel: Houses and fields and vineyards shall yet again be bought in this land.

16Now after I had delivered the deed of the purchase to Baruch the son of Neriah, I prayed to ForeverOne, saying, 17Ah LordOfMine ForeverOne! Behold, you have made the heavens and the earth by your great power and by your outstretched arm; there is nothing too hard for you, 18who show loving kindness to thousands, and recompense the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them; the great, the mighty God, ForeverOne of Armies is his name; 19great in counsel, and mighty in work; whose eyes are open on all the ways of the sons of men, to give everyone according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings: 20who performed signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, even to this day, both in Israel and among [other] men; and made yourself a name, as in this day; 21and brought your people Israel out of the land of Egypt with signs, and with wonders, and with a strong hand, and with an outstretched arm, and with great terror; 22and gave them this land, which you swore to their fathers to give them, a land flowing with milk and honey; 23and they came in, and possessed it, but they didn't obey your voice, neither walked in your law; they have done nothing of all that you commanded them to do: therefore you have caused all this evil to come on them.

24"Behold, siege ramps have been built against the city to take it; and the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans who fight against it, because of the sword, the famine and the pestilence. What you have spoken has happened. Behold, you see it.

25You have said to me, LordOfMine ForeverOne, Buy the field for money, and call witnesses; whereas the city is given into the hand of the Chaldeans." 26Then came the word of ForeverOne to Jeremiah, saying, 27Behold, I am ForeverOne, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?

28Therefore thus says ForeverOne: Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the Chaldeans, and into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and he shall take it: 29and the Chaldeans, who fight against this city, shall come and set this city on fire, and burn it, with the houses, on whose roofs they have offered incense to Baal, and poured out drink offerings to other gods, to provoke me to anger.

30For the children of Israel and the children of Judah have done only what was evil in my sight from their youth; for the children of Israel have only provoked me to anger with the work of their hands, says ForeverOne.

Section 3

Psalm 90-91

34 verses

Psalm 90

[BOOK IV] A Prayer by Moses, the man of God.

1LordOfMine, you have been our dwelling place for all generations.

2Before the mountains were made, before you had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, you are God.

3You turn man to destruction, saying, "Return, you children of men." 4For a thousand years in your sight are just like yesterday when it is past, like a watch in the night.

5You sweep them away as they sleep. In the morning they sprout like new grass.

6In the morning it sprouts and springs up. By evening, it is withered and dry.

7For we are consumed in your anger. We are troubled in your wrath.

8You have set our iniquities before you, our secret sins in the light of your presence.

9For all our days have passed away in your wrath. We bring our years to an end as a sigh.

10The days of our years are seventy, or even by reason of strength eighty years; yet their pride is but labor and sorrow, for it passes quickly, and we fly away.

11Who knows the power of your anger, your wrath according to the fear that is due to you?

12So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom.

13Relent, ForeverOne! How long? Have compassion on your servants!

14Satisfy us in the morning with your loving kindness, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.

15Make us glad for as many days as you have afflicted us, for as many years as we have seen evil.

16Let your work appear to your servants; your glory to their children.

17Let the favor of LordOfMine our God be on us; establish the work of our hands for us; yes, establish the work of our hands.

Psalm 91

1He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.

2I will say of ForeverOne, "He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust." 3For he will deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and from the deadly pestilence.

4He will cover you with his feathers. Under his wings you will take refuge. His faithfulness is your shield and rampart.

5You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day; 6nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that wastes at noonday.

7A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand; but it will not come near you.

8You will only look with your eyes, and see the recompense of the wicked.

9Because you have made ForeverOne your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place, 10no evil shall happen to you, neither shall any plague come near your dwelling.

11For he will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you in all your ways.

12They will bear you up in their hands, so that you won't dash your foot against a stone.

13You will tread on the lion and cobra. You will trample the young lion and the serpent underfoot.

14"Because he has set his love on me, therefore I will deliver him. I will set him on high, because he has known my name.

15He will call on me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him, and honor him.

16I will satisfy him with long life, and show him my salvation."

Section 4

1 Corinthians 12:1-26

26 verses

1 Corinthians Chapter 12

1Now concerning spiritual things, brothers, I don't want you to be ignorant.

2You know that when you were heathen, you were led away to those mute idols, however you might be led.

3So I make known to you that no man speaking by God's Spirit says, "Jesus is accursed." No one can say, "Jesus is Lord," but by the Holy Spirit.

4Now there are various kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit.

5There are various kinds of service, and the same Lord.

6There are various kinds of workings, but the same God, who works all things in all.

7But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the profit of all.

8For to one is given through the Spirit the word of wisdom, and to another the word of knowledge, according to the same Spirit; 9to another faith, by the same Spirit; and to another gifts of healings, by the same Spirit; 10and to another workings of miracles; and to another prophecy; and to another discerning of spirits; to another different kinds of languages; and to another the interpretation of languages.

11But the one and the same Spirit produces all of these, distributing to each one separately as he desires.

12For as the body is one, and has many members, and all the members of the body, being many, are one body; so also is the AnointedOne.

13For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body, whether Jews or Greeks, whether bond or free; and were all given to drink into one Spirit.

14For the body is not one member, but many.

15If the foot would say, "Because I'm not the hand, I'm not part of the body," it is not therefore not part of the body.

16If the ear would say, "Because I'm not the eye, I'm not part of the body," it's not therefore not part of the body.

17If the whole body were an eye, where would the hearing be? If the whole were hearing, where would the smelling be?

18But now God has set the members, each one of them, in the body, just as he desired.

19If they were all one member, where would the body be?

20But now they are many members, but one body.

21The eye can't tell the hand, "I have no need for you," or again the head to the feet, "I have no need for you." 22No, much rather, those members of the body which seem to be weaker are necessary.

23Those parts of the body which we think to be less honorable, on those we bestow more abundant honor; and our unpresentable parts have more abundant propriety; 24whereas our presentable parts have no such need. But God composed the body together, giving more abundant honor to the inferior part, 25that there should be no division in the body, but that the members should have the same care for one another.

26When one member suffers, all the members suffer with it. When one member is honored, all the members rejoice with it.
