Exodus Chapter 22

⁷"If a man delivers to his neighbor money or stuff to keep, and it is stolen out of the man's house; if the thief is found, he shall pay double.

⁸If the thief isn't found, then the owner of the house shall come near to God, to find out if he hasn't put his hand to his neighbor's goods.

⁹For every matter of trespass, whether it be for ox, for donkey, for sheep, for clothing, or for any kind of lost thing, about which one says, 'This is mine,' the cause of both parties shall come before God. He whom God condemns shall pay double to his neighbor.

¹⁰"If a man delivers to his neighbor a donkey, an ox, a sheep, or any animal to keep, and it dies or is injured, or driven away, no man seeing it; ¹¹the oath of ForeverOne shall be between them both, whether he hasn't put his hand to his neighbor's goods; and its owner shall accept it, and he shall not make restitution.

¹²But if it is stolen from him, he shall make restitution to its owner.

¹³If it is torn in pieces, let him bring it for evidence. He shall not make good what was torn.

¹⁴"If a man borrows anything of his neighbor's, and it is injured, or dies, its owner not being with it, he shall surely make restitution.

¹⁵If its owner is with it, he shall not make it good. If it is a leased thing, it came for its lease.

¹⁶"If a man entices a virgin who isn't pledged to be married, and lies with her, he shall surely pay a dowry for her to be his wife.

¹⁷If her father utterly refuses to give her to him, he shall pay money according to the dowry of virgins.

¹⁸"Don't allow a sorceress to live.

¹⁹"Whoever has sex with an animal shall surely be put to death.

²⁰"He who sacrifices to any god, except to ForeverOne only, shall be utterly destroyed.

²¹"Don't wrong an alien or oppress him, for you were aliens in the land of Egypt.

²²"Don't take advantage of any widow or fatherless child.

²³If you take advantage of them at all, and they cry at all to me, I will surely hear their cry; ²⁴and my wrath will grow hot, and I will kill you with the sword; and your wives shall be widows, and your children fatherless.

1 Kings Chapter 12

³²Jeroboam ordained a feast in the eighth month, on the fifteenth day of the month, like the feast that is in Judah, and he went up to the altar; he did so in Bethel, sacrificing to the calves that he had made: and he placed in Bethel the priests of the high places that he had made.

³³He went up to the altar which he had made in Bethel on the fifteenth day in the eighth month, even in the month which he had devised of his own heart: and he ordained a feast for the children of Israel, and went up to the altar, to burn incense.

1 Kings Chapter 13

¹Behold, there came a man of God out of Judah by the word of ForeverOne to Beth El: and Jeroboam was standing by the altar to burn incense.

²He cried against the altar by the word of ForeverOne, and said, "Altar, altar, thus says ForeverOne: 'Behold, a son shall be born to the house of David, Josiah by name. On you he shall sacrifice the priests of the high places who burn incense on you, and they will burn men's bones on you.'" ³He gave a sign the same day, saying, "This is the sign which ForeverOne has spoken: Behold, the altar will be split apart, and the ashes that are on it will be poured out." ⁴When the king heard the saying of the man of God, which he cried against the altar in Bethel, Jeroboam put out his hand from the altar, saying, "Seize him!" His hand, which he put out against him, dried up, so that he could not draw it back again to himself.

⁵The altar also was split apart, and the ashes poured out from the altar, according to the sign which the man of God had given by the word of ForeverOne.

⁶The king answered the man of God, "Now entreat the favor of ForeverOne your God, and pray for me, that my hand may be restored me again." The man of God entreated ForeverOne, and the king's hand was restored him again, and became as it was before.

⁷The king said to the man of God, "Come home with me, and refresh yourself, and I will give you a reward." ⁸The man of God said to the king, "Even if you gave me half of your house, I would not go in with you, neither would I eat bread nor drink water in this place; ⁹for so was it commanded me by the word of ForeverOne, saying, 'You shall eat no bread, nor drink water, neither return by the way that you came.'" ¹⁰So he went another way, and didn't return by the way that he came to Bethel.

¹¹Now there lived an old prophet in Bethel; and one of his sons came and told him all the works that the man of God had done that day in Bethel. They also told their father the words which he had spoken to the king.

¹²Their father said to them, "Which way did he go?" Now his sons had seen which way the man of God went, who came from Judah.

¹³He said to his sons, "Saddle the donkey for me." So they saddled the donkey for him; and he rode on it.

¹⁴He went after the man of God, and found him sitting under an oak. He said to him, "Are you the man of God who came from Judah?" He said, "I am." ¹⁵Then he said to him, "Come home with me, and eat bread." ¹⁶He said, "I may not return with you, nor go in with you; neither will I eat bread nor drink water with you in this place.

¹⁷For it was said to me by the word of ForeverOne, 'You shall eat no bread nor drink water there, nor turn again to go by the way that you came.'" ¹⁸He said to him, "I also am a prophet as you are; and an angel spoke to me by the word of ForeverOne, saying, 'Bring him back with you into your house, that he may eat bread and drink water.'" He lied to him.

¹⁹So he went back with him, and ate bread in his house, and drank water.

Nehemiah Chapter 7

³⁹The priests: The children of Jedaiah, of the house of Jeshua, nine hundred seventy-three.

⁴⁰The children of Immer, one thousand fifty-two.

⁴¹The children of Pashhur, one thousand two hundred forty-seven.

⁴²The children of Harim, one thousand seventeen.

⁴³The Levites: the children of Jeshua, of Kadmiel, of the children of Hodevah, seventy-four.

⁴⁴The singers: the children of Asaph, one hundred forty-eight.

⁴⁵The porters: the children of Shallum, the children of Ater, the children of Talmon, the children of Akkub, the children of Hatita, the children of Shobai, one hundred thirty-eight.

⁵²The children of Besai, the children of Meunim, the children of Nephushesim, ⁵³the children of Bakbuk, the children of Hakupha, the children of Harhur, ⁵⁴the children of Bazlith, the children of Mehida, the children of Harsha, ⁵⁵the children of Barkos, the children of Sisera, the children of Temah, ⁵⁶the children of Neziah, the children of Hatipha.

⁵⁷The children of Solomon's servants: the children of Sotai, the children of Sophereth, the children of Perida, ⁵⁸the children of Jaala, the children of Darkon, the children of Giddel, ⁵⁹the children of Shephatiah, the children of Hattil, the children of Pochereth Hazzebaim, the children of Amon.

⁶⁰All the Nethinim, and the children of Solomon's servants, were three hundred ninety-two.

⁶¹These were those who went up from Tel Melah, Tel Harsha, Cherub, Addon, and Immer; but they could not show their fathers' houses, nor their offspring, whether they were of Israel: ⁶²The children of Delaiah, the children of Tobiah, the children of Nekoda, six hundred forty-two.

Luke Chapter 23

¹³Pilate called together the chief priests, the rulers and the people, ¹⁴and said to them, "You brought this man to me as one that perverts the people, and behold, having examined him before you, I found no basis for a charge against this man concerning those things of which you accuse him.

¹⁵Neither has Herod, for I sent you to him, and see, nothing worthy of death has been done by him.

¹⁶So I will chastise him and release him." ¹⁷[*Now he had to release one prisoner to them at the feast.] ¹⁸But they all cried out together, saying, "Away with this man! Release to us Barabbas!"- ¹⁹one who was thrown into prison for a certain revolt in the city, and for murder.

²⁰Then Pilate spoke to them again, wanting to release Jesus, ²¹but they shouted, saying, "Crucify! Crucify him!" ²²He said to them the third time, "Why? What evil has this man done? I have found no capital crime in him. I will therefore chastise him and release him." ²³But they were urgent with loud voices, asking that he might be crucified. Their voices and the voices of the chief priests prevailed.

²⁴Pilate decreed that what they asked for should be done.

²⁵He released him who had been thrown into prison for insurrection and murder, for whom they asked, but he delivered Jesus up to their will.

²⁶When they led him away, they grabbed one Simon of Cyrene, coming from the country, and laid on him the cross, to carry it after Jesus.

²⁷A great multitude of the people followed him, including women who also mourned and lamented him.

²⁸But Jesus, turning to them, said, "Daughters of Jerusalem, don't weep for me, but weep for yourselves and for your children.

²⁹For behold, the days are coming in which they will say, 'Blessed are the barren, the wombs that never bore, and the breasts that never nursed.' ³⁰Then they will begin to tell the mountains, 'Fall on us!' and tell the hills, 'Cover us.' ³¹For if they do these things in the green tree, what will be done in the dry?" ³²There were also others, two criminals, led with him to be put to death.

³³When they came to the place that is called "The Skull", they crucified him there with the criminals, one on the right and the other on the left.

³⁴Jesus said, "Father, forgive them, for they don't know what they are doing." Dividing his garments among them, they cast lots.

³⁵The people stood watching. The rulers with them also scoffed at him, saying, "He saved others. Let him save himself, if this is the AnointedOne of God, his chosen one!" ³⁶The soldiers also mocked him, coming to him and offering him vinegar, ³⁷and saying, "If you are the King of the Jews, save yourself!" ³⁸An inscription was also written over him in letters of Greek, Latin, and Hebrew: "THIS IS THE KING OF THE JEWS."
