Leviticus 13:9-23

15 verses

Leviticus Chapter 13

9"When the plague of leprosy is in a man, then he shall be brought to the priest; 10and the priest shall examine him. Behold, if there is a white rising in the skin, and it has turned the hair white, and there is raw flesh in the rising, 11it is a chronic leprosy in the skin of his body, and the priest shall pronounce him unclean. He shall not isolate him, for he is unclean.

12"If the leprosy breaks out all over the skin, and the leprosy covers all the skin of the infected person from his head even to his feet, as far as it appears to the priest; 13then the priest shall examine him; and, behold, if the leprosy has covered all his flesh, he shall pronounce him clean of the plague. It has all turned white: he is clean.

14But whenever raw flesh appears in him, he shall be unclean.

15The priest shall examine the raw flesh, and pronounce him unclean: the raw flesh is unclean. It is leprosy.

16Or if the raw flesh turns again, and is changed to white, then he shall come to the priest; 17and the priest shall examine him; and, behold, if the plague has turned white, then the priest shall pronounce him clean of the plague. He is clean.

18"When the body has a boil on its skin, and it has healed, 19and in the place of the boil there is a white rising, or a bright spot, reddish-white, then it shall be shown to the priest; 20and the priest shall examine it; and behold, if its appearance is lower than the skin, and its hair has turned white, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean. It is the plague of leprosy. It has broken out in the boil.

21But if the priest examines it, and behold, there are no white hairs in it, and it isn't deeper than the skin, but is dim, then the priest shall isolate him seven days.

22If it spreads in the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean. It is a plague.

23But if the bright spot stays in its place, and hasn't spread, it is the scar from the boil; and the priest shall pronounce him clean.

Isaiah 23:1-24:12

30 verses

Isaiah Chapter 23

1The burden of Tyre. Howl, you ships of Tarshish! For it is laid waste, so that there is no house, no entering in. From the land of Kittim it is revealed to them.

2Be still, you inhabitants of the coast, you whom the merchants of Sidon, that pass over the sea, have replenished.

3On great waters, the seed of the Shihor, the harvest of the Nile, was her revenue. She was the market of nations.

4Be ashamed, Sidon; for the sea has spoken, the stronghold of the sea, saying, "I was not in labor, nor gave birth, neither have I nourished young men, nor brought up virgins." 5When the report comes to Egypt, they will be in anguish at the report of Tyre.

6Pass over to Tarshish! Wail, you inhabitants of the coast!

7Is this your joyous city, whose antiquity is of ancient days, whose feet carried her far away to travel?

8Who has planned this against Tyre, the giver of crowns, whose merchants are princes, whose traffickers are the honorable of the earth?

9ForeverOne of Armies has planned it, to stain the pride of all glory, to bring into contempt all the honorable of the earth.

10Pass through your land like the Nile, daughter of Tarshish. There is no restraint any more.

11He has stretched out his hand over the sea. He has shaken the kingdoms. ForeverOne has ordered the destruction of Canaan's strongholds.

12He said, "You shall rejoice no more, you oppressed virgin daughter of Sidon. Arise, pass over to Kittim. Even there you will have no rest." 13Behold, the land of the Chaldeans. This people was not. The Assyrians founded it for those who dwell in the wilderness. They set up their towers. They overthrew its palaces. They made it a ruin.

14Howl, you ships of Tarshish, for your stronghold is laid waste!

15It will come to pass in that day that Tyre will be forgotten seventy years, according to the days of one king. After the end of seventy years it will be to Tyre like in the song of the prostitute.

16Take a harp; go about the city, you prostitute that has been forgotten. Make sweet melody. Sing many songs, that you may be remembered.

17After the end of seventy years ForeverOne will visit Tyre, and she shall return to her wages, and will play the prostitute with all the kingdoms of the world on the surface of the earth.

18Her merchandise and her wages will be holiness to ForeverOne. It will not be treasured nor laid up; for her merchandise will be for those who dwell before ForeverOne, to eat sufficiently, and for durable clothing.

Isaiah Chapter 24

1Behold, ForeverOne makes the earth empty, makes it waste, turns it upside down, and scatters its inhabitants.

2It will be as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the creditor, so with the debtor; as with the taker of interest, so with the giver of interest.

3The earth will be utterly emptied and utterly laid waste; for ForeverOne has spoken this word.

4The earth mourns and fades away. The world languishes and fades away. The lofty people of the earth languish.

5The earth also is polluted under its inhabitants, because they have transgressed the laws, violated the statutes, and broken the everlasting covenant.

6Therefore the curse has devoured the earth, and those who dwell in it are found guilty. Therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.

7The new wine mourns. The vine languishes. All the merry-hearted sigh.

8The mirth of tambourines ceases. The sound of those who rejoice ends. The joy of the harp ceases.

9They will not drink wine with a song. Strong drink will be bitter to those who drink it.

10The confused city is broken down. Every house is shut up, that no man may come in.

11There is a crying in the streets because of the wine. All joy is darkened. The mirth of the land is gone.

12The city is left in desolation, and the gate is struck with destruction.

Job 38:16-41

26 verses

Job Chapter 38

16"Have you entered into the springs of the sea? Or have you walked in the recesses of the deep?

17Have the gates of death been revealed to you? Or have you seen the gates of the shadow of death?

18Have you comprehended the earth in its breadth? Declare, if you know it all.

19"What is the way to the dwelling of light? As for darkness, where is its place, 20that you should take it to its bound, that you should discern the paths to its house?

21Surely you know, for you were born then, and the number of your days is great!

22Have you entered the treasuries of the snow, or have you seen the treasures of the hail, 23which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?

24By what way is the lightning distributed, or the east wind scattered on the earth?

25Who has cut a channel for the flood water, or the path for the thunderstorm; 26To cause it to rain on a land where no man is; on the wilderness, in which there is no man; 27to satisfy the waste and desolate ground, to cause the tender grass to spring up?

28Does the rain have a father? Or who fathers the drops of dew?

29Out of whose womb came the ice? The gray frost of the sky, who has given birth to it?

30The waters become hard like stone, when the surface of the deep is frozen.

31"Can you bind the cluster of the Pleiades, or loosen the cords of Orion?

32Can you lead out the constellations in their season? Or can you guide the Bear with her cubs?

33Do you know the laws of the heavens? Can you establish its dominion over the earth?

34"Can you lift up your voice to the clouds, That abundance of waters may cover you?

35Can you send out lightnings, that they may go? Do they report to you, 'Here we are?' 36Who has put wisdom in the inward parts? Or who has given understanding to the mind?

37Who can number the clouds by wisdom? Or who can pour out the bottles of the sky, 38when the dust runs into a mass, and the clods of earth stick together?

39"Can you hunt the prey for the lioness, or satisfy the appetite of the young lions, 40when they crouch in their dens, and lie in wait in the thicket?

41Who provides for the raven his prey, when his young ones cry to God, and wander for lack of food?

Acts 10:21-38

18 verses

Acts Chapter 10

21Peter went down to the men, and said, "Behold, I am he whom you seek. Why have you come?" 22They said, "Cornelius, a centurion, a righteous man and one who fears God, and well spoken of by all the nation of the Jews, was directed by a holy angel to invite you to his house, and to listen to what you say." 23So he called them in and provided a place to stay. On the next day Peter arose and went out with them, and some of the brothers from Joppa accompanied him.

24On the next day they entered into Caesarea. Cornelius was waiting for them, having called together his relatives and his near friends.

25When Peter entered, Cornelius met him, fell down at his feet, and worshiped him.

26But Peter raised him up, saying, "Stand up! I myself am also a man." 27As he talked with him, he went in and found many gathered together.

28He said to them, "You yourselves know how it is an unlawful thing for a man who is a Jew to join himself or come to one of another nation, but God has shown me that I shouldn't call any man unholy or unclean.

29So I also came without complaint when I was sent for. So I ask, why did you send for me?" 30Cornelius said, "Four days ago, I was fasting until this hour, and at the ninth hour, I prayed in my house, and behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing, 31and said, 'Cornelius, your prayer is heard, and your gifts to the needy are remembered in the sight of God.

32So send to Joppa and summon Simon called Peter. He is staying in the house of a tanner named Simon, by the sea. When he comes, he will speak to you.' 33So I sent to you at once, and it was good of you to come. So, now we are all here present in the sight of God to hear all things that have been commanded you by the Lord." 34Peter opened his mouth and said, "Truly I perceive that God doesn't show favoritism; 35but in every nation he who fears him and works righteousness is acceptable to him.

36The word which he sent to the children of Israel, preaching good news of peace by Jesus AnointedOne- he is Lord of all- 37you yourselves know what happened, which was proclaimed throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached; 38even Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed him with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.
