Leviticus Chapter 13

⁹"When the plague of leprosy is in a man, then he shall be brought to the priest; ¹⁰and the priest shall examine him. Behold, if there is a white rising in the skin, and it has turned the hair white, and there is raw flesh in the rising, ¹¹it is a chronic leprosy in the skin of his body, and the priest shall pronounce him unclean. He shall not isolate him, for he is unclean.

¹²"If the leprosy breaks out all over the skin, and the leprosy covers all the skin of the infected person from his head even to his feet, as far as it appears to the priest; ¹³then the priest shall examine him; and, behold, if the leprosy has covered all his flesh, he shall pronounce him clean of the plague. It has all turned white: he is clean.

¹⁴But whenever raw flesh appears in him, he shall be unclean.

¹⁵The priest shall examine the raw flesh, and pronounce him unclean: the raw flesh is unclean. It is leprosy.

¹⁶Or if the raw flesh turns again, and is changed to white, then he shall come to the priest; ¹⁷and the priest shall examine him; and, behold, if the plague has turned white, then the priest shall pronounce him clean of the plague. He is clean.

¹⁸"When the body has a boil on its skin, and it has healed, ¹⁹and in the place of the boil there is a white rising, or a bright spot, reddish-white, then it shall be shown to the priest; ²⁰and the priest shall examine it; and behold, if its appearance is lower than the skin, and its hair has turned white, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean. It is the plague of leprosy. It has broken out in the boil.

²¹But if the priest examines it, and behold, there are no white hairs in it, and it isn't deeper than the skin, but is dim, then the priest shall isolate him seven days.

²²If it spreads in the skin, then the priest shall pronounce him unclean. It is a plague.

²³But if the bright spot stays in its place, and hasn't spread, it is the scar from the boil; and the priest shall pronounce him clean.

Isaiah Chapter 23

¹The burden of Tyre. Howl, you ships of Tarshish! For it is laid waste, so that there is no house, no entering in. From the land of Kittim it is revealed to them.

²Be still, you inhabitants of the coast, you whom the merchants of Sidon, that pass over the sea, have replenished.

³On great waters, the seed of the Shihor, the harvest of the Nile, was her revenue. She was the market of nations.

⁴Be ashamed, Sidon; for the sea has spoken, the stronghold of the sea, saying, "I was not in labor, nor gave birth, neither have I nourished young men, nor brought up virgins." ⁵When the report comes to Egypt, they will be in anguish at the report of Tyre.

⁶Pass over to Tarshish! Wail, you inhabitants of the coast!

⁷Is this your joyous city, whose antiquity is of ancient days, whose feet carried her far away to travel?

⁸Who has planned this against Tyre, the giver of crowns, whose merchants are princes, whose traffickers are the honorable of the earth?

⁹ForeverOne of Armies has planned it, to stain the pride of all glory, to bring into contempt all the honorable of the earth.

¹⁰Pass through your land like the Nile, daughter of Tarshish. There is no restraint any more.

¹¹He has stretched out his hand over the sea. He has shaken the kingdoms. ForeverOne has ordered the destruction of Canaan's strongholds.

¹²He said, "You shall rejoice no more, you oppressed virgin daughter of Sidon. Arise, pass over to Kittim. Even there you will have no rest." ¹³Behold, the land of the Chaldeans. This people was not. The Assyrians founded it for those who dwell in the wilderness. They set up their towers. They overthrew its palaces. They made it a ruin.

¹⁴Howl, you ships of Tarshish, for your stronghold is laid waste!

¹⁵It will come to pass in that day that Tyre will be forgotten seventy years, according to the days of one king. After the end of seventy years it will be to Tyre like in the song of the prostitute.

¹⁶Take a harp; go about the city, you prostitute that has been forgotten. Make sweet melody. Sing many songs, that you may be remembered.

¹⁷After the end of seventy years ForeverOne will visit Tyre, and she shall return to her wages, and will play the prostitute with all the kingdoms of the world on the surface of the earth.

¹⁸Her merchandise and her wages will be holiness to ForeverOne. It will not be treasured nor laid up; for her merchandise will be for those who dwell before ForeverOne, to eat sufficiently, and for durable clothing.

Isaiah Chapter 24

¹Behold, ForeverOne makes the earth empty, makes it waste, turns it upside down, and scatters its inhabitants.

²It will be as with the people, so with the priest; as with the servant, so with his master; as with the maid, so with her mistress; as with the buyer, so with the seller; as with the creditor, so with the debtor; as with the taker of interest, so with the giver of interest.

³The earth will be utterly emptied and utterly laid waste; for ForeverOne has spoken this word.

⁴The earth mourns and fades away. The world languishes and fades away. The lofty people of the earth languish.

⁵The earth also is polluted under its inhabitants, because they have transgressed the laws, violated the statutes, and broken the everlasting covenant.

⁶Therefore the curse has devoured the earth, and those who dwell in it are found guilty. Therefore the inhabitants of the earth are burned, and few men left.

⁷The new wine mourns. The vine languishes. All the merry-hearted sigh.

⁸The mirth of tambourines ceases. The sound of those who rejoice ends. The joy of the harp ceases.

⁹They will not drink wine with a song. Strong drink will be bitter to those who drink it.

¹⁰The confused city is broken down. Every house is shut up, that no man may come in.

¹¹There is a crying in the streets because of the wine. All joy is darkened. The mirth of the land is gone.

¹²The city is left in desolation, and the gate is struck with destruction.

Job Chapter 38

¹⁶"Have you entered into the springs of the sea? Or have you walked in the recesses of the deep?

¹⁷Have the gates of death been revealed to you? Or have you seen the gates of the shadow of death?

¹⁸Have you comprehended the earth in its breadth? Declare, if you know it all.

¹⁹"What is the way to the dwelling of light? As for darkness, where is its place, ²⁰that you should take it to its bound, that you should discern the paths to its house?

²¹Surely you know, for you were born then, and the number of your days is great!

²²Have you entered the treasuries of the snow, or have you seen the treasures of the hail, ²³which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war?

²⁴By what way is the lightning distributed, or the east wind scattered on the earth?

²⁵Who has cut a channel for the flood water, or the path for the thunderstorm; ²⁶To cause it to rain on a land where no man is; on the wilderness, in which there is no man; ²⁷to satisfy the waste and desolate ground, to cause the tender grass to spring up?

²⁸Does the rain have a father? Or who fathers the drops of dew?

²⁹Out of whose womb came the ice? The gray frost of the sky, who has given birth to it?

³⁰The waters become hard like stone, when the surface of the deep is frozen.

³¹"Can you bind the cluster of the Pleiades, or loosen the cords of Orion?

³²Can you lead out the constellations in their season? Or can you guide the Bear with her cubs?

³³Do you know the laws of the heavens? Can you establish its dominion over the earth?

³⁴"Can you lift up your voice to the clouds, That abundance of waters may cover you?

³⁵Can you send out lightnings, that they may go? Do they report to you, 'Here we are?' ³⁶Who has put wisdom in the inward parts? Or who has given understanding to the mind?

³⁷Who can number the clouds by wisdom? Or who can pour out the bottles of the sky, ³⁸when the dust runs into a mass, and the clods of earth stick together?

³⁹"Can you hunt the prey for the lioness, or satisfy the appetite of the young lions, ⁴⁰when they crouch in their dens, and lie in wait in the thicket?

⁴¹Who provides for the raven his prey, when his young ones cry to God, and wander for lack of food?

Acts Chapter 10

²¹Peter went down to the men, and said, "Behold, I am he whom you seek. Why have you come?" ²²They said, "Cornelius, a centurion, a righteous man and one who fears God, and well spoken of by all the nation of the Jews, was directed by a holy angel to invite you to his house, and to listen to what you say." ²³So he called them in and provided a place to stay. On the next day Peter arose and went out with them, and some of the brothers from Joppa accompanied him.

²⁴On the next day they entered into Caesarea. Cornelius was waiting for them, having called together his relatives and his near friends.

²⁵When Peter entered, Cornelius met him, fell down at his feet, and worshiped him.

²⁶But Peter raised him up, saying, "Stand up! I myself am also a man." ²⁷As he talked with him, he went in and found many gathered together.

²⁸He said to them, "You yourselves know how it is an unlawful thing for a man who is a Jew to join himself or come to one of another nation, but God has shown me that I shouldn't call any man unholy or unclean.

²⁹So I also came without complaint when I was sent for. So I ask, why did you send for me?" ³⁰Cornelius said, "Four days ago, I was fasting until this hour, and at the ninth hour, I prayed in my house, and behold, a man stood before me in bright clothing, ³¹and said, 'Cornelius, your prayer is heard, and your gifts to the needy are remembered in the sight of God.

³²So send to Joppa and summon Simon called Peter. He is staying in the house of a tanner named Simon, by the sea. When he comes, he will speak to you.' ³³So I sent to you at once, and it was good of you to come. So, now we are all here present in the sight of God to hear all things that have been commanded you by the Lord." ³⁴Peter opened his mouth and said, "Truly I perceive that God doesn't show favoritism; ³⁵but in every nation he who fears him and works righteousness is acceptable to him.

³⁶The word which he sent to the children of Israel, preaching good news of peace by Jesus AnointedOne- he is Lord of all- ³⁷you yourselves know what happened, which was proclaimed throughout all Judea, beginning from Galilee, after the baptism which John preached; ³⁸even Jesus of Nazareth, how God anointed him with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with him.
