Genesis Chapter 4

⁹ForeverOne said to Cain, "Where is Abel, your brother?" He said, "I don't know. Am I my brother's keeper?" ¹⁰ForeverOne said, "What have you done? The voice of your brother's blood cries to me from the ground.

¹¹Now you are cursed because of the ground, which has opened its mouth to receive your brother's blood from your hand.

¹²From now on, when you till the ground, it won't yield its strength to you. You shall be a fugitive and a wanderer in the earth." ¹³Cain said to ForeverOne, "My punishment is greater than I can bear.

¹⁴Behold, you have driven me out this day from the surface of the ground. I will be hidden from your face, and I will be a fugitive and a wanderer in the earth. Whoever finds me will kill me." ¹⁵ForeverOne said to him, "Therefore whoever slays Cain, vengeance will be taken on him sevenfold." ForeverOne appointed a sign for Cain, lest any finding him should strike him.

¹⁶Cain left ForeverOne's presence, and lived in the land of Nod, east of Eden.

¹⁷Cain knew his wife. She conceived, and gave birth to Enoch. He built a city, and called the name of the city, after the name of his son, Enoch.

¹⁸Irad was born to Enoch. Irad became the father of Mehujael. Mehujael became the father of Methushael. Methushael became the father of Lamech.

¹⁹Lamech took two wives: the name of the first one was Adah, and the name of the second one was Zillah.

²⁰Adah gave birth to Jabal, who was the father of those who dwell in tents and have livestock.

²¹His brother's name was Jubal, who was the father of all who handle the harp and pipe.

²²Zillah also gave birth to Tubal Cain, the forger of every cutting instrument of bronze and iron. Tubal Cain's sister was Naamah.

²³Lamech said to his wives, "Adah and Zillah, hear my voice. You wives of Lamech, listen to my speech, for I have slain a man for wounding me, a young man for bruising me.

²⁴If Cain will be avenged seven times, truly Lamech seventy-seven times."

Joshua Chapter 6

²⁶Joshua commanded them with an oath at that time, saying, "Cursed is the man before ForeverOne, who rises up and builds this city Jericho. He shall lay its foundation with the loss of his firstborn, and he shall set up its gates with the loss of his youngest son." ²⁷So ForeverOne was with Joshua; and his fame was in all the land.

Joshua Chapter 7

¹But the children of Israel committed a trespass in the devoted things; for Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took some of the devoted things. Therefore ForeverOne's anger burned against the children of Israel.

²Joshua sent men from Jericho to Ai, which is beside Beth Aven, on the east side of Bethel, and spoke to them, saying, "Go up and spy out the land." The men went up and spied out Ai.

³They returned to Joshua, and said to him, "Don't let all the people go up; but let about two or three thousand men go up and strike Ai. Don't make all the people to toil there, for there are only a few of them." ⁴So about three thousand men of the people went up there, and they fled before the men of Ai.

⁵The men of Ai struck about thirty-six men of them, and they pursued them from before the gate even to Shebarim, and struck them at the descent. The hearts of the people melted, and became like water.

⁶Joshua tore his clothes, and fell to the earth on his face before the ark of ForeverOne until the evening, he and the elders of Israel; and they put dust on their heads.

⁷Joshua said, "Alas, LordOfMine ForeverOne, why have you brought this people over the Jordan at all, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to cause us to perish? I wish that we had been content and lived beyond the Jordan!

⁸Oh, LordOfMine, what shall I say, after that Israel has turned their backs before their enemies!

⁹For the Canaanites and all the inhabitants of the land will hear of it, and will surround us, and cut off our name from the earth. What will you do for your great name?" ¹⁰ForeverOne said to Joshua, "Get up! Why are you fallen on your face like that?

¹¹Israel has sinned. Yes, they have even transgressed my covenant which I commanded them. Yes, they have even taken of the devoted things, and have also stolen, and also deceived. They have even put it among their own stuff.

¹²Therefore the children of Israel can't stand before their enemies. They turn their backs before their enemies, because they have become devoted for destruction. I will not be with you any more, unless you destroy the devoted things from among you.

¹³"Get up! Sanctify the people, and say, 'Sanctify yourselves for tomorrow, for ForeverOne, the God of Israel, says, "There is a devoted thing in the midst of you, Israel. You cannot stand before your enemies until you take away the devoted thing from among you." ¹⁴"'In the morning therefore you shall be brought near by your tribes. It shall be that the tribe which ForeverOne selects shall come near by families. The family which ForeverOne selects shall come near by households. The household which ForeverOne selects shall come near man by man.

¹⁵It shall be, that he who is taken with the devoted thing shall be burned with fire, he and all that he has, because he has transgressed the covenant of ForeverOne, and because he has done a disgraceful thing in Israel.'"

1 Chronicles Chapter 1

¹Adam, Seth, Enosh, ²Kenan, Mahalalel, Jared, ³Enoch, Methuselah, Lamech, ⁴Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth.

⁵The sons of Japheth were Gomer, and Magog, and Madai, and Javan, and Tubal, and Meshech, and Tiras.

⁶The sons of Gomer were Ashkenaz, and Diphath, and Togarmah.

⁷The sons of Javan were Elishah, and Tarshish, Kittim, and Rodanim.

⁸The sons of Ham were Cush, and Mizraim, Put, and Canaan.

⁹The sons of Cush were Seba, and Havilah, and Sabta, and Raama, and Sabteca. The sons of Raamah were Sheba, and Dedan.

¹⁰Cush became the father of Nimrod; he began to be a mighty one in the earth.

¹¹Mizraim became the father of Ludim, and Anamim, and Lehabim, and Naphtuhim, ¹²and Pathrusim, and Casluhim (where the Philistines came from), and Caphtorim.

¹³Canaan became the father of Sidon his firstborn, and Heth, ¹⁴and the Jebusite, and the Amorite, and the Girgashite, ¹⁵and the Hivite, and the Arkite, and the Sinite, ¹⁶and the Arvadite, and the Zemarite, and the Hamathite.

¹⁷The sons of Shem were Elam, and Asshur, and Arpachshad, and Lud, and Aram, and Uz, and Hul, and Gether, and Meshech.

¹⁸Arpachshad became the father of Shelah, and Shelah became the father of Eber.

¹⁹To Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg; for in his days the earth was divided; and his brother's name was Joktan.

²⁰Joktan became the father of Almodad, and Sheleph, and Hazarmaveth, and Jerah, ²¹and Hadoram, and Uzal, and Diklah, ²²and Ebal, and Abimael, and Sheba, ²³and Ophir, and Havilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan.

²⁴Shem, Arpachshad, Shelah, ²⁵Eber, Peleg, Reu, ²⁶Serug, Nahor, Terah, ²⁷Abram (which is Abraham).

²⁸The sons of Abraham were Isaac, and Ishmael.

²⁹These are their generations: the firstborn of Ishmael, Nebaioth; then Kedar, and Adbeel, and Mibsam, ³⁰Mishma, and Dumah, Massa, Hadad, and Tema, ³¹Jetur, Naphish, and Kedemah. These are the sons of Ishmael.

³²The sons of Keturah, Abraham's concubine: she bore Zimran, and Jokshan, and Medan, and Midian, and Ishbak, and Shuah. The sons of Jokshan were Sheba, and Dedan.

³³The sons of Midian were Ephah, and Epher, and Hanoch, and Abida, and Eldaah. All these were the sons of Keturah.

Matthew Chapter 5

²¹"You have heard that it was said to the ancient ones, 'You shall not murder;' and 'Whoever murders will be in danger of the judgment.' ²²But I tell you that everyone who is angry with his brother without a cause will be in danger of the judgment. Whoever says to his brother, 'Raca!' will be in danger of the council. Whoever says, 'You fool!' will be in danger of the fire of Gehenna.

²³"So, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has anything against you, ²⁴leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift.

²⁵Agree with your adversary quickly while you are with him on the way; lest perhaps the prosecutor deliver you to the judge, and the judge deliver you to the officer, and you be thrown into prison.

²⁶Most certainly I tell you, you shall by no means get out of there until you have paid the last penny.

²⁷"You have heard that it was said, 'You shall not commit adultery;' ²⁸but I tell you that everyone who gazes at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart.

²⁹If your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish than for your whole body to be thrown into Gehenna.

³⁰If your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off, and throw it away from you. For it is more profitable for you that one of your members should perish, than for your whole body to be thrown into Gehenna.

³¹"It was also said, 'Whoever shall put away his wife, let him give her a writing of divorce,' ³²but I tell you that whoever puts away his wife, except for the cause of sexual immorality, makes her an adulteress; and whoever marries her when she is put away commits adultery.

³³"Again you have heard that it was said to the ancient ones, 'You shall not make false vows, but shall perform to ForeverOne your vows,' ³⁴but I tell you, don't swear at all: neither by heaven, for it is the throne of God; ³⁵nor by the earth, for it is the footstool of his feet; nor by Jerusalem, for it is the city of the great King.

³⁶Neither shall you swear by your head, for you can't make one hair white or black.

³⁷But let your 'Yes' be 'Yes' and your 'No' be 'No.' Whatever is more than these is of the evil one.
