Numbers Chapter 10

11In the second year, in the second month, on the twentieth day of the month, the cloud was taken up from over the tabernacle of the testimony.

12The children of Israel went forward according to their journeys out of the wilderness of Sinai; and the cloud stayed in the wilderness of Paran.

13They first went forward according to the commandment of ForeverOne by Moses.

14First, the standard of the camp of the children of Judah went forward according to their armies. Nahshon the son of Amminadab was over his army.

15Nethanel the son of Zuar was over the army of the tribe of the children of Issachar.

16Eliab the son of Helon was over the army of the tribe of the children of Zebulun.

17The tabernacle was taken down; and the sons of Gershon and the sons of Merari, who bore the tabernacle, went forward.

18The standard of the camp of Reuben went forward according to their armies. Elizur the son of Shedeur was over his army.

19Shelumiel the son of Zurishaddai was over the army of the tribe of the children of Simeon.

20Eliasaph the son of Deuel was over the army of the tribe of the children of Gad.

21The Kohathites set forward, bearing the sanctuary. The others set up the tabernacle before they arrived.

22The standard of the camp of the children of Ephraim set forward according to their armies. Elishama the son of Ammihud was over his army.

23Gamaliel the son of Pedahzur was over the army of the tribe of the children of Manasseh.

24Abidan the son of Gideoni was over the army of the tribe of the children of Benjamin.

25The standard of the camp of the children of Dan, which was the rear guard of all the camps, set forward according to their armies. Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai was over his army.

26Pagiel the son of Ochran was over the army of the tribe of the children of Asher.

27Ahira the son of Enan was over the army of the tribe of the children of Naphtali.

28Thus were the travels of the children of Israel according to their armies; and they went forward.

Jeremiah 29:1-23

Jeremiah Chapter 29

1Now these are the words of the letter that Jeremiah the prophet sent from Jerusalem to the residue of the elders of the captivity, and to the priests, and to the prophets, and to all the people, whom Nebuchadnezzar had carried away captive from Jerusalem to Babylon, 2(after that Jeconiah the king, and the queen mother, and the eunuchs, [and] the princes of Judah and Jerusalem, and the craftsmen, and the smiths, were departed from Jerusalem), 3by the hand of Elasah the son of Shaphan, and Gemariah the son of Hilkiah, (whom Zedekiah king of Judah sent to Babylon to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon), saying, 4Thus says ForeverOne of Armies, the God of Israel, to all the captivity, whom I have caused to be carried away captive from Jerusalem to Babylon: 5Build houses, and dwell in them; and plant gardens, and eat the fruit of them.

6Take wives, and father sons and daughters; and take wives for your sons, and give your daughters to husbands, that they may bear sons and daughters; and multiply there, and don't be diminished.

7Seek the peace of the city where I have caused you to be carried away captive, and pray to ForeverOne for it; for in its peace you shall have peace.

8For thus says ForeverOne of Armies, the God of Israel: Don't let your prophets who are in the midst of you, and your diviners, deceive you; neither listen to your dreams which you cause to be dreamed.

9For they prophesy falsely to you in my name: I have not sent them, says ForeverOne.

10For thus says ForeverOne, After seventy years are accomplished for Babylon, I will visit you, and perform my good word toward you, in causing you to return to this place.

11For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says ForeverOne, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.

12You shall call on me, and you shall go and pray to me, and I will listen to you.

13You shall seek me, and find me, when you shall search for me with all your heart.

14I will be found by you, says ForeverOne, and I will turn again your captivity, and I will gather you from all the nations, and from all the places where I have driven you, says ForeverOne; and I will bring you again to the place from where I caused you to be carried away captive.

15Because you have said, ForeverOne has raised us up prophets in Babylon; 16thus says ForeverOne concerning the king who sits on the throne of David, and concerning all the people who dwell in this city, your brothers who haven't gone forth with you into captivity; 17thus says ForeverOne of Armies; Behold, I will send on them the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, and will make them like vile figs, that can't be eaten, they are so bad.

18I will pursue after them with the sword, with the famine, and with the pestilence, and will deliver them to be tossed back and forth among all the kingdoms of the earth, to be an object of horror, and an astonishment, and a hissing, and a reproach, among all the nations where I have driven them; 19because they have not listened to my words, says ForeverOne, with which I sent to them my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them; but you would not hear, says ForeverOne.

20Hear therefore the word of ForeverOne, all you of the captivity, whom I have sent away from Jerusalem to Babylon.

21Thus says ForeverOne of Armies, the God of Israel, concerning Ahab the son of Kolaiah, and concerning Zedekiah the son of Maaseiah, who prophesy a lie to you in my name: Behold, I will deliver them into the hand of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon; and he shall kill them before your eyes; 22and of them shall be taken up a curse by all the captives of Judah who are in Babylon, saying, ForeverOne make you like Zedekiah and like Ahab, whom the king of Babylon roasted in the fire; 23because they have worked folly in Israel, and have committed adultery with their neighbors' wives, and have spoken words in my name falsely, which I didn't command them; and I am he who knows, and am witness, says ForeverOne.

Section 3

Psalm 86-87

26 verses

Psalm 86

A Prayer by David.

1Hear, ForeverOne, and answer me, for I am poor and needy.

2Preserve my soul, for I am godly. You, my God, save your servant who trusts in you.

3Be merciful to me, LordOfMine, for I call to you all day long.

4Bring joy to the soul of your servant, for to you, LordOfMine, do I lift up my soul.

5For you, LordOfMine, are good, and ready to forgive; abundant in loving kindness to all those who call on you.

6Hear, ForeverOne, my prayer. Listen to the voice of my petitions.

7In the day of my trouble I will call on you, for you will answer me.

8There is no one like you among the gods, LordOfMine, nor any deeds like your deeds.

9All nations you have made will come and worship before you, LordOfMine. They shall glorify your name.

10For you are great, and do wondrous things. You are God alone.

11Teach me your way, ForeverOne. I will walk in your truth. Make my heart undivided to fear your name.

12I will praise you, LordOfMine my God, with my whole heart. I will glorify your name forevermore.

13For your loving kindness is great toward me. You have delivered my soul from the lowest Sheol.

14God, the proud have risen up against me. A group of violent men have sought after my soul, and they don't hold regard for you before them.

15But you, LordOfMine, are a merciful and gracious God, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness and truth.

16Turn to me, and have mercy on me! Give your strength to your servant. Save the son of your handmaid.

17Show me a sign of your goodness, that those who hate me may see it, and be shamed, because you, ForeverOne, have helped me, and comforted me.

Psalm 87

A Psalm by the sons of Korah; a Song.

1His foundation is in the holy mountains.

2ForeverOne loves the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.

3Glorious things are spoken about you, city of God. Selah.

4I will record Rahab and Babylon among those who acknowledge me. Behold, Philistia, Tyre, and also Ethiopia: "This one was born there." 5Yes, of Zion it will be said, "This one and that one was born in her;" the Most High himself will establish her.

6ForeverOne will count, when he writes up the peoples, "This one was born there." Selah.

7Those who sing as well as those who dance say, "All my springs are in you."

Section 4

1 Corinthians 9:1-22

22 verses

1 Corinthians Chapter 9

1Am I not free? Am I not an apostle? Haven't I seen Jesus AnointedOne, our Lord? Aren't you my work in the Lord?

2If to others I am not an apostle, yet at least I am to you; for you are the seal of my apostleship in the Lord.

3My defense to those who examine me is this: 4Have we no right to eat and to drink?

5Have we no right to take along a wife who is a believer, even as the rest of the apostles, and the brothers of the Lord, and Cephas?

6Or have only Barnabas and I no right to not work?

7What soldier ever serves at his own expense? Who plants a vineyard, and doesn't eat of its fruit? Or who feeds a flock, and doesn't drink from the flock's milk?

8Do I speak these things according to the ways of men? Or doesn't the law also say the same thing?

9For it is written in the law of Moses, "You shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain." Is it for the oxen that God cares, 10or does he say it assuredly for our sake? Yes, it was written for our sake, because he who plows ought to plow in hope, and he who threshes in hope should partake of his hope.

11If we sowed to you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we reap your fleshly things?

12If others partake of this right over you, don't we yet more? Nevertheless we didn't use this right, but we bear all things, that we may cause no hindrance to the Good News of the AnointedOne.

13Don't you know that those who serve around sacred things eat from the things of the temple, and those who wait on the altar have their portion with the altar?

14In the same way the Lord ordained that those who proclaim the Good News should live from the Good News.

15But I have used none of these things, and I don't write these things that it may be done so in my case; for I would rather die, than that anyone should make my boasting void.

16For if I preach the Good News, I have nothing to boast about; for necessity is laid on me; but woe to me if I don't preach the Good News!

17For if I do this of my own will, I have a reward. But if not of my own will, I have a stewardship entrusted to me.

18What then is my reward? That when I preach the Good News, I may present the Good News of the AnointedOne without charge, so as not to abuse my authority in the Good News.

19For though I was free from all, I brought myself under slavery to all, that I might gain the more.

20To the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain Jews; to those who are under the law, as under the law, that I might gain those who are under the law; 21to those who are without law, as without law (not being without law toward God, but under law toward the AnointedOne), that I might win those who are without law.

22To the weak I became as weak, that I might gain the weak. I have become all things to all men, that I may by all means save some.
