Leviticus Chapter 11

³⁴All food which may be eaten, that on which water comes, shall be unclean; and all drink that may be drunk in every such vessel shall be unclean.

³⁵Everything whereupon part of their carcass falls shall be unclean; whether oven, or range for pots, it shall be broken in pieces: they are unclean, and shall be unclean to you.

³⁶Nevertheless a spring or a cistern in which water is a gathered shall be clean: but what touches their carcass shall be unclean.

³⁷If part of their carcass falls on any sowing seed which is to be sown, it is clean.

³⁸But if water is put on the seed, and part of their carcass falls on it, it is unclean to you.

³⁹"'If any animal, of which you may eat, dies; he who touches its carcass shall be unclean until the evening.

⁴⁰He who eats of its carcass shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening. He also who carries its carcass shall wash his clothes, and be unclean until the evening.

⁴¹"'Every creeping thing that creeps on the earth is an abomination. It shall not be eaten.

⁴²Don't eat whatever goes on its belly, and whatever goes on all fours, or whatever has many feet, even all creeping things that creep on the earth, for they are an abomination.

⁴³Don't make yourselves abominable with any creeping thing that creeps, neither shall you make yourselves unclean with them, that you should be defiled thereby.

⁴⁴For I am ForeverOne your God. Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be holy; for I am holy: neither shall you defile yourselves with any kind of creeping thing that moves on the earth.

⁴⁵For I am ForeverOne who brought you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your God. You shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.

⁴⁶"'This is the law of the animal, and of the bird, and of every living creature that moves in the waters, and of every creature that creeps on the earth, ⁴⁷to make a distinction between the unclean and the clean, and between the living thing that may be eaten and the living thing that may not be eaten.'"

Isaiah Chapter 19

¹⁸In that day, there will be five cities in the land of Egypt that speak the language of Canaan, and swear to ForeverOne of Armies. One will be called "The city of destruction." ¹⁹In that day, there will be an altar to ForeverOne in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar to ForeverOne at its border.

²⁰It will be for a sign and for a witness to ForeverOne of Armies in the land of Egypt; for they will cry to ForeverOne because of oppressors, and he will send them a savior and a defender, and he will deliver them.

²¹ForeverOne will be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians will know ForeverOne in that day. Yes, they will worship with sacrifice and offering, and will vow a vow to ForeverOne, and will perform it.

²²ForeverOne will strike Egypt, striking and healing. They will return to ForeverOne, and he will be entreated by them, and will heal them.

²³In that day there will be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptian into Assyria; and the Egyptians will worship with the Assyrians.

²⁴In that day, Israel will be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, a blessing in the midst of the earth; ²⁵because ForeverOne of Armies has blessed them, saying, "Blessed be Egypt my people, Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel my inheritance."

Isaiah Chapter 20

Job Chapter 36

¹⁶Yes, he would have allured you out of distress, into a broad place, where there is no restriction. What is set on your table would be full of abundance.

¹⁷"But you are full of the judgment of the wicked. Judgment and justice take hold of you.

¹⁸Don't let riches entice you to wrath, neither let the great size of a bribe turn you aside.

¹⁹Would your wealth sustain you in distress, or all the might of your strength?

²⁰Don't desire the night, when people are cut off in their place.

²¹Take heed, don't regard iniquity; for you have chosen this rather than affliction.

²²Behold, God is exalted in his power. Who is a teacher like him?

²³Who has prescribed his way for him? Or who can say, 'You have committed unrighteousness?' ²⁴"Remember that you magnify his work, whereof men have sung.

²⁵All men have looked on it. Man sees it from afar.

²⁶Behold, God is great, and we don't know him. The number of his years is unsearchable.

²⁷For he draws up the drops of water, which distill in rain from his vapor, ²⁸Which the skies pour down and which drop on man abundantly.

²⁹Yes, can any understand the spreading of the clouds, and the thunderings of his pavilion?

³⁰Behold, he spreads his light around him. He covers the bottom of the sea.

³¹For by these he judges the people. He gives food in abundance.

³²He covers his hands with the lightning, and commands it to strike the mark.

³³Its noise tells about him, and the livestock also concerning the storm that comes up.

Job Chapter 37

¹"Yes, at this my heart trembles, and is moved out of its place.

²Hear, oh, hear the noise of his voice, the sound that goes out of his mouth.

³He sends it out under the whole sky, and his lightning to the ends of the earth.

⁴After it a voice roars. He thunders with the voice of his majesty. He doesn't hold back anything when his voice is heard.

⁵God thunders marvelously with his voice. He does great things, which we can't comprehend.

⁶For he says to the snow, 'Fall on the earth;' likewise to the shower of rain, and to the showers of his mighty rain.

⁷He seals up the hand of every man, that all men whom he has made may know it.

⁸Then the animals take cover, and remain in their dens.

⁹Out of its room comes the storm, and cold out of the north.

¹⁰By the breath of God, ice is given, and the breadth of the waters is frozen.

¹¹Yes, he loads the thick cloud with moisture. He spreads abroad the cloud of his lightning.

¹²It is turned around by his guidance, that they may do whatever he commands them on the surface of the habitable world, ¹³Whether it is for correction, or for his land, or for loving kindness, that he causes it to come.

Acts Chapter 9

²³When many days were fulfilled, the Jews conspired together to kill him, ²⁴but their plot became known to Saul. They watched the gates both day and night that they might kill him, ²⁵but his disciples took him by night and let him down through the wall, lowering him in a basket.

²⁶When Saul had come to Jerusalem, he tried to join himself to the disciples; but they were all afraid of him, not believing that he was a disciple.

²⁷But Barnabas took him and brought him to the apostles, and declared to them how he had seen the Lord on the way, and that he had spoken to him, and how at Damascus he had preached boldly in the name of Jesus.

²⁸He was with them entering into Jerusalem, ²⁹preaching boldly in the name of the Lord Jesus. He spoke and disputed against the Hellenists, but they were seeking to kill him.

³⁰When the brothers knew it, they brought him down to Caesarea, and sent him off to Tarsus.

³¹So the assemblies throughout all Judea, Galilee and Samaria had peace, and were built up. They were multiplied, walking in the fear of ForeverOne and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit.

³²As Peter went throughout all those parts, he came down also to the saints who lived at Lydda.

³³There he found a certain man named Aeneas, who had been bedridden for eight years, because he was paralyzed.

³⁴Peter said to him, "Aeneas, Jesus AnointedOne heals you. Get up and make your bed!" Immediately he arose.

³⁵All who lived at Lydda and in Sharon saw him, and they turned to the Lord.

³⁶Now there was at Joppa a certain disciple named Tabitha, which when translated, means Dorcas. This woman was full of good actions and acts of mercy which she did.

³⁷In those days, she became sick, and died. When they had washed her, they laid her in an upper room.

³⁸As Lydda was near Joppa, the disciples, hearing that Peter was there, sent two men to him, imploring him not to delay in coming to them.

³⁹Peter got up and went with them. When he had come, they brought him into the upper room. All the widows stood by him weeping, and showing the tunics and garments which Dorcas had made while she was with them.

⁴⁰Peter sent them all out, and knelt down and prayed. Turning to the body, he said, "Tabitha, get up!" She opened her eyes, and when she saw Peter, she sat up.

⁴¹He gave her his hand, and raised her up. Calling the saints and widows, he presented her alive.

⁴²This became known throughout all Joppa, and many believed in the Lord.

⁴³He stayed many days in Joppa with a tanner named Simon.
