Leviticus 24:1-16

16 verses

Leviticus Chapter 24

1ForeverOne spoke to Moses, saying, 2"Command the children of Israel, that they bring to you pure olive oil beaten for the light, to cause a lamp to burn continually.

3Outside of the veil of the Testimony, in the Tent of Meeting, shall Aaron keep it in order from evening to morning before ForeverOne continually: it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations.

4He shall keep in order the lamps on the pure gold lampstand before ForeverOne continually.

5"You shall take fine flour, and bake twelve cakes of it: two tenth parts of an ephah shall be in one cake.

6You shall set them in two rows, six on a row, on the pure gold table before ForeverOne.

7You shall put pure frankincense on each row, that it may be to the bread for a memorial, even an offering made by fire to ForeverOne.

8Every Sabbath day he shall set it in order before ForeverOne continually. It is on the behalf of the children of Israel an everlasting covenant.

9It shall be for Aaron and his sons; and they shall eat it in a holy place: for it is most holy to him of the offerings of ForeverOne made by fire by a perpetual statute." 10The son of an Israelite woman, whose father was an Egyptian, went out among the children of Israel; and the son of the Israelite woman and a man of Israel strove together in the camp.

11The son of the Israelite woman blasphemed the Name, and cursed; and they brought him to Moses. His mother's name was Shelomith, the daughter of Dibri, of the tribe of Dan.

12They put him in custody, until the will of ForeverOne should be declared to them.

13ForeverOne spoke to Moses, saying, 14"Bring out of the camp him who cursed; and let all who heard him lay their hands on his head, and let all the congregation stone him.

15You shall speak to the children of Israel, saying, 'Whoever curses his God shall bear his sin.

16He who blasphemes the name of ForeverOne, he shall surely be put to death; all the congregation shall certainly stone him: the foreigner as well as the native-born, when he blasphemes the Name, shall be put to death.

Section 2

Isaiah 55:6-57:6

26 verses

Isaiah Chapter 55

6Seek ForeverOne while he may be found; call you on him while he is near: 7let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts; and let him return to ForeverOne, and he will have mercy on him; and to our God, for he will abundantly pardon.

8"For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways," says ForeverOne.

9"For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

10For as the rain comes down and the snow from the sky, and doesn't return there, but waters the earth, and makes it produce and bud, and gives seed to the sower and bread to the eater; 11so shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth: it shall not return to me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing I sent it to do.

12For you shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace: the mountains and the hills shall break forth before you into singing; and all the trees of the fields shall clap their hands.

13Instead of the thorn shall come up the fir tree; and instead of the brier shall come up the myrtle tree: and it shall be to ForeverOne for a name, for an everlasting sign that shall not be cut off."

Isaiah Chapter 56

1Thus says ForeverOne, "Keep justice, and do righteousness; for my salvation is near to come, and my righteousness to be revealed.

2Blessed is the man who does this, and the son of man who holds it fast; who keeps the Sabbath from profaning it, and keeps his hand from doing any evil." 3Neither let the foreigner, who has joined himself to ForeverOne, speak, saying, "ForeverOne will surely separate me from his people;" neither let the eunuch say, "Behold, I am a dry tree." 4For thus says ForeverOne, "To the eunuchs who keep my Sabbaths, and choose the things that please me, and hold fast my covenant: 5to them I will give in my house and within my walls a memorial and a name better than of sons and of daughters; I will give them an everlasting name, that shall not be cut off.

6Also the foreigners who join themselves to ForeverOne, to minister to him, and to love the name of ForeverOne, to be his servants, everyone who keeps the Sabbath from profaning it, and holds fast my covenant; 7even them will I bring to my holy mountain, and make them joyful in my house of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted on my altar; for my house shall be called a house of prayer for all peoples." 8LordOfMine ForeverOne, who gathers the outcasts of Israel, says, "Yet will I gather [others] to him, besides his own who are gathered." 9All you animals of the field, come to devour, [yes], all you animals in the forest.

10His watchmen are blind, they are all without knowledge; they are all mute dogs, they can't bark; dreaming, lying down, loving to slumber.

11Yes, the dogs are greedy, they can never have enough; and these are shepherds who can't understand: they have all turned to their own way, each one to his gain, from every quarter.

12"Come," [say they], "I will get wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink; and tomorrow shall be as today, [a day] great beyond measure."

Isaiah Chapter 57

1The righteous perishes, and no man lays it to heart; and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil [to come].

2He enters into peace; they rest in their beds, each one who walks in his uprightness.

3"But draw near here, you sons of the sorceress, the offspring of the adulterer and the prostitute.

4Against whom do you sport yourselves? Against whom do you make a wide mouth, and stick out your tongue? Aren't you children of disobedience, offspring of falsehood, 5you who inflame yourselves among the oaks, under every green tree; who kill the children in the valleys, under the clefts of the rocks?

6Among the smooth [stones] of the valley is your portion; they, they are your lot; you have even poured a drink offering to them. You have offered an offering. Shall I be appeased for these things?

Section 3

Psalm 36

13 verses

Psalm 36

For the Chief Musician. By David, the servant of ForeverOne.

1An oracle is within my heart about the disobedience of the wicked: "There is no fear of God before his eyes." 2For he flatters himself in his own eyes, too much to detect and hate his sin.

3The words of his mouth are iniquity and deceit. He has ceased to be wise and to do good.

4He plots iniquity on his bed. He sets himself in a way that is not good. He doesn't abhor evil.

5Your loving kindness, ForeverOne, is in the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the skies.

6Your righteousness is like the mountains of God. Your judgments are like a great deep. ForeverOne, you preserve man and animal.

7How precious is your loving kindness, God! The children of men take refuge under the shadow of your wings.

8They shall be abundantly satisfied with the abundance of your house. You will make them drink of the river of your pleasures.

9For with you is the spring of life. In your light shall we see light.

10Oh continue your loving kindness to those who know you, your righteousness to the upright in heart.

11Don't let the foot of pride come against me. Don't let the hand of the wicked drive me away.

12There the workers of iniquity are fallen. They are thrust down, and shall not be able to rise.

Section 4

Acts 24:5-26

22 verses

Acts Chapter 24

5For we have found this man to be a plague, an instigator of insurrections among all the Jews throughout the world, and a ringleader of the sect of the Nazarenes.

6[*He even tried to profane the temple, and we arrested him. [Omitted from WEB - We wanted to judge him according to our law]] 7[*[Omitted from WEB - But the chief captain, Lysias, came upon us, and with great violence took him away out of our hands.]] 8[*By examining him yourself you may ascertain all these things of which we accuse him."] 9The Jews also joined in the attack, affirming that these things were so.

10When the governor had beckoned to him to speak, Paul answered, "Because I know that you have been a judge of this nation for many years, I cheerfully make my defense, 11seeing that you can verify that it is not more than twelve days since I went up to worship at Jerusalem.

12In the temple they didn't find me disputing with anyone or stirring up a crowd, either in the synagogues, or in the city.

13Nor can they prove to you the things of which they now accuse me.

14But this I confess to you, that after the Way, which they call a sect, so I serve the God of our fathers, believing all things which are according to the law, and which are written in the prophets; 15having hope toward God, which these also themselves look for, that there will be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.

16And I always do my best to keep a conscience clear of offense towards God and humans.

17Now after some years, I came to bring gifts for the needy to my nation, and offerings; 18amid which certain Jews from Asia found me purified in the temple, not with a mob, nor with turmoil.

19They ought to have been here before you, and to make accusation, if they had anything against me.

20Or else let these men themselves say what injustice they found in me when I stood before the council, 21unless it is for this one thing that I cried standing among them, 'Concerning the resurrection of the dead I am being judged before you today!'" 22But Felix, having more exact knowledge concerning the Way, deferred them, saying, "When Lysias, the commanding officer, comes down, I will decide your case." 23He ordered the centurion that Paul should be kept in custody, and should have some privileges, and not to forbid any of his friends to serve him or to visit him.

24But after some days, Felix came with Drusilla, his wife, who was a Jewess, and sent for Paul, and heard him concerning the faith in AnointedOne Jesus.

25As he reasoned about righteousness, self-control, and the judgment to come, Felix was terrified, and answered, "Go your way for this time, and when it is convenient for me, I will summon you." 26Meanwhile, he also hoped that money would be given to him by Paul, that he might release him. So he also sent for him more often and talked with him.
