Exodus Chapter 1

1Now these are the names of the sons of Israel, who came into Egypt (every man and his household came with Jacob): 2Reuben, Simeon, Levi, and Judah, 3Issachar, Zebulun, and Benjamin, 4Dan and Naphtali, Gad and Asher.

5All the souls who came out of Jacob's body were seventy souls, and Joseph was in Egypt already.

6Joseph died, and so did all his brothers, and all that generation.

7The children of Israel were fruitful, and increased abundantly, and multiplied, and grew exceedingly mighty; and the land was filled with them.

8Now there arose a new king over Egypt, who didn't know Joseph.

9He said to his people, "Behold, the people of the children of Israel are more and mightier than we.

10Come, let us deal wisely with them, lest they multiply, and it happen that when any war breaks out, they also join themselves to our enemies, and fight against us, and escape out of the land." 11Therefore they set taskmasters over them to afflict them with their burdens. They built storage cities for Pharaoh: Pithom and Raamses.

12But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and the more they spread out. They were grieved because of the children of Israel.

13The Egyptians ruthlessly made the children of Israel serve, 14and they made their lives bitter with hard service, in mortar and in brick, and in all kinds of service in the field, all their service, in which they ruthlessly made them serve.

15The king of Egypt spoke to the Hebrew midwives, of whom the name of the one was Shiphrah, and the name of the other Puah, 16and he said, "When you perform the duty of a midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them on the birth stool; if it is a son, then you shall kill him; but if it is a daughter, then she shall live." 17But the midwives feared God, and didn't do what the king of Egypt commanded them, but saved the baby boys alive.

18The king of Egypt called for the midwives, and said to them, "Why have you done this thing, and have saved the boys alive?" 19The midwives said to Pharaoh, "Because the Hebrew women aren't like the Egyptian women; for they are vigorous, and give birth before the midwife comes to them." 20God dealt well with the midwives, and the people multiplied, and grew very mighty.

21Because the midwives feared God, he gave them families.

22Pharaoh commanded all his people, saying, "You shall throw every son who is born into the river, and every daughter you shall save alive."

2 Samuel Chapter 7

25Now, ForeverOne God, the word that you have spoken concerning your servant, and concerning his house, confirm it forever, and do as you have spoken.

26Let your name be magnified forever, saying, 'ForeverOne of Armies is God over Israel; and the house of your servant David shall be established before you.' 27For you, ForeverOne of Armies, the God of Israel, have revealed to your servant, saying, 'I will build you a house.' Therefore your servant has found in his heart to pray this prayer to you.

28"Now, O LordOfMine ForeverOne, you are God, and your words are truth, and you have promised this good thing to your servant.

29Now therefore let it please you to bless the house of your servant, that it may continue forever before you; for you, LordOfMine ForeverOne, have spoken it. Let the house of your servant be blessed forever with your blessing."

2 Samuel Chapter 8

1After this David struck the Philistines, and subdued them: and David took the bridle of the mother city out of the hand of the Philistines.

2He struck Moab, and measured them with the line, making them to lie down on the ground; and he measured two lines to put to death, and one full line to keep alive. The Moabites became servants to David, and brought tribute.

3David struck also Hadadezer the son of Rehob, king of Zobah, as he went to recover his dominion at the River.

4David took from him one thousand seven hundred horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen: and David hamstrung all the chariot horses, but reserved of them for one hundred chariots.

5When the Syrians of Damascus came to help Hadadezer king of Zobah, David struck of the Syrians two and twenty thousand men.

6Then David put garrisons in Syria of Damascus; and the Syrians became servants to David, and brought tribute. ForeverOne gave victory to David wherever he went.

7David took the shields of gold that were on the servants of Hadadezer, and brought them to Jerusalem.

8From Betah and from Berothai, cities of Hadadezer, king David took exceeding much brass.

9When Toi king of Hamath heard that David had struck all the army of Hadadezer, 10then Toi sent Joram his son to king David, to Greet him, and to bless him, because he had fought against Hadadezer and struck him: for Hadadezer had wars with Toi. [Joram] brought with him vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and vessels of brass: 11These also did king David dedicate to ForeverOne, with the silver and gold that he dedicated of all the nations which he subdued; 12of Syria, and of Moab, and of the children of Ammon, and of the Philistines, and of Amalek, and of the spoil of Hadadezer, son of Rehob, king of Zobah.

13David earned a reputation when he returned from smiting the Syrians in the Valley of Salt, even eighteen thousand men.

14He put garrisons in Edom; throughout all Edom put he garrisons, and all the Edomites became servants to David. ForeverOne gave victory to David wherever he went.

15David reigned over all Israel; and David executed justice and righteousness to all his people.

16Joab the son of Zeruiah was over the army; and Jehoshaphat the son of Ahilud was recorder; 17and Zadok the son of Ahitub, and Ahimelech the son of Abiathar, were priests; and Seraiah was scribe; 18and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada [was over] the Cherethites and the Pelethites; and David's sons were chief ministers.

2 Chronicles 29:31-30:9

15 verses

2 Chronicles Chapter 29

31Then Hezekiah answered, "Now you have consecrated yourselves to ForeverOne; come near and bring sacrifices and thank offerings into the house of ForeverOne." The assembly brought in sacrifices and thank offerings; and as many as were of a willing heart [brought] burnt offerings.

32The number of the burnt offerings which the assembly brought was seventy bulls, one hundred rams, and two hundred lambs: all these were for a burnt offering to ForeverOne.

33The consecrated things were six hundred head of cattle and three thousand sheep.

34But the priests were too few, so that they could not flay all the burnt offerings: therefore their brothers the Levites helped them, until the work was ended, and until the priests had sanctified themselves; for the Levites were more upright in heart to sanctify themselves than the priests.

35Also the burnt offerings were in abundance, with the fat of the peace offerings, and with the drink offerings for every burnt offering. So the service of the house of ForeverOne was set in order.

36Hezekiah rejoiced, and all the people, because of what God had prepared for the people: for the thing was done suddenly.

2 Chronicles Chapter 30

1Hezekiah sent to all Israel and Judah, and wrote letters also to Ephraim and Manasseh, that they should come to the house of ForeverOne at Jerusalem, to keep the Passover to ForeverOne, the God of Israel.

2For the king had taken counsel, and his princes, and all the assembly in Jerusalem, to keep the Passover in the second month.

3For they could not keep it at that time, because the priests had not sanctified themselves in sufficient number, neither had the people gathered themselves together to Jerusalem.

4The thing was right in the eyes of the king and of all the assembly.

5So they established a decree to make proclamation throughout all Israel, from Beersheba even to Dan, that they should come to keep the Passover to ForeverOne, the God of Israel, at Jerusalem: for they had not kept it in great numbers in such sort as it is written.

6So the couriers went with the letters from the king and his princes throughout all Israel and Judah, and according to the commandment of the king, saying, "You children of Israel, turn again to ForeverOne, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, that he may return to the remnant that have escaped of you out of the hand of the kings of Assyria.

7Don't be like your fathers, and like your brothers, who trespassed against ForeverOne, the God of their fathers, so that he gave them up to desolation, as you see.

8Now don't be stiff-necked, as your fathers were; but yield yourselves to ForeverOne, and enter into his sanctuary, which he has sanctified forever, and serve ForeverOne your God, that his fierce anger may turn away from you.

9For if you turn again to ForeverOne, your brothers and your children shall find compassion before those who led them captive, and shall return to this land: for ForeverOne your God is gracious and merciful, and will not turn away his face from you, if you return to him."

Luke 5:8-26

Luke Chapter 5

8But Simon Peter, when he saw it, fell down at Jesus' knees, saying, "Depart from me Lord, for I am a sinful man." 9For he was amazed, and all who were with him, at the catch of fish which they had caught; 10and so also were James and John, sons of Zebedee, who were partners with Simon. Jesus said to Simon, "Don't be afraid. From now on you will be catching people alive." 11When they had brought their boats to land, they left everything, and followed him.

12While he was in one of the cities, behold, there was a man full of leprosy. When he saw Jesus, he fell on his face, and begged him, saying, "Lord, if you want to, you can make me clean." 13He stretched out his hand, and touched him, saying, "I want to. Be made clean." Immediately the leprosy left him.

14He commanded him to tell no one, "But go your way, and show yourself to the priest, and offer for your cleansing according to what Moses commanded, for a testimony to them." 15But the report concerning him spread much more, and great multitudes came together to hear, and to be healed by him of their infirmities.

16But he withdrew himself into the desert, and prayed.

17On one of those days, he was teaching; and there were Pharisees and teachers of the law sitting by, who had come out of every village of Galilee, Judea, and Jerusalem. The power of ForeverOne was with him to heal them.

18Behold, men brought a paralyzed man on a stretcher, and they sought to bring him in to lay before Jesus.

19Not finding a way to bring him in because of the multitude, they went up to the housetop, and let him down through the tiles with his bed into the middle before Jesus.

20Seeing their faith, he said to him, "Man, your sins are forgiven you." 21The scribes and the Pharisees began to reason, saying, "Who is this speaking blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, but God alone?" 22But Jesus, perceiving their thoughts, answered them, "Why are you reasoning so in your hearts?

23Which is easier to say, 'Your sins are forgiven you;' or to say, 'Arise and walk?' 24But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins" (he said to the paralyzed man), "I tell you, arise, take up your bed, and go to your house." 25Immediately he rose up before them, and took up what he was laying on, and departed to his house, glorifying God.

26Amazement took hold on all, and they glorified God. They were filled with fear, saying, "We have seen strange things today."
