Numbers Chapter 22

²⁸ForeverOne opened the mouth of the donkey, and she said to Balaam, "What have I done to you, that you have struck me these three times?" ²⁹Balaam said to the donkey, "Because you have mocked me, I wish there were a sword in my hand, for now I would have killed you." ³⁰The donkey said to Balaam, "Am I not your donkey, on which you have ridden all your life long to this day? Was I ever in the habit of doing so to you?" He said, "No." ³¹Then ForeverOne opened the eyes of Balaam, and he saw the angel of ForeverOne standing in the way, with his sword drawn in his hand; and he bowed his head, and fell on his face.

³²The angel of ForeverOne said to him, "Why have you struck your donkey these three times? Behold, I have come out as an adversary, because your way is perverse before me: ³³and the donkey saw me, and turned aside before me these three times. Unless she had turned aside from me, surely now I would have killed you, and saved her alive." ³⁴Balaam said to the angel of ForeverOne, "I have sinned; for I didn't know that you stood in the way against me. Now therefore, if it displeases you, I will go back again." ³⁵The angel of ForeverOne said to Balaam, "Go with the men; but only the word that I shall speak to you, that you shall speak." So Balaam went with the princes of Balak.

³⁶When Balak heard that Balaam had come, he went out to meet him to the City of Moab, which is on the border of the Arnon, which is in the utmost part of the border.

³⁷Balak said to Balaam, "Didn't I earnestly send to you to call you? Why didn't you come to me? Am I not able indeed to promote you to honor?" ³⁸Balaam said to Balak, "Behold, I have come to you: have I now any power at all to speak anything? The word that God puts in my mouth, that shall I speak." ³⁹Balaam went with Balak, and they came to Kiriath Huzoth.

⁴⁰Balak sacrificed cattle and sheep, and sent to Balaam, and to the princes who were with him.

⁴¹In the morning, Balak took Balaam and brought him up into the high places of Baal, and he saw from there the utmost part of the people.

Jeremiah Chapter 51

⁴⁹As Babylon has caused the slain of Israel to fall, so at Babylon shall fall the slain of all the land.

⁵⁰You who have escaped the sword, go, don't stand still; remember ForeverOne from afar, and let Jerusalem come into your mind.

⁵¹We are confounded, because we have heard reproach; confusion has covered our faces: for strangers have entered the sanctuaries of ForeverOne's house.

⁵²Therefore, behold, the days come, says ForeverOne, that I will execute judgment on her engraved images; and through all her land the wounded shall groan.

⁵³Though Babylon should mount up to the sky, and though she should fortify the height of her strength, yet from me shall destroyers come to her, says ForeverOne.

⁵⁴The sound of a cry from Babylon, and of great destruction from the land of the Chaldeans!

⁵⁵For ForeverOne lays Babylon waste, and destroys out of her the great voice; and their waves roar like many waters; the noise of their voice is uttered: ⁵⁶for the destroyer has come on her, even on Babylon, and her mighty men are taken, their bows are broken in pieces; for ForeverOne is a God of recompenses, he will surely requite.

⁵⁷I will make drunk her princes and her wise men, her governors and her deputies, and her mighty men; and they shall sleep a perpetual sleep, and not wake up, says the King, whose name is ForeverOne of Armies.

⁵⁸Thus says ForeverOne of Armies: The broad walls of Babylon shall be utterly overthrown, and her high gates shall be burned with fire; and the peoples shall labor for vanity, and the nations for the fire; and they shall be weary.

⁵⁹The word which Jeremiah the prophet commanded Seraiah the son of Neriah, the son of Mahseiah, when he went with Zedekiah the king of Judah to Babylon in the fourth year of his reign. Now Seraiah was chief quartermaster.

⁶⁰Jeremiah wrote in a book all the evil that should come on Babylon, even all these words that are written concerning Babylon.

⁶¹Jeremiah said to Seraiah, When you come to Babylon, then see that you read all these words, ⁶²and say, ForeverOne, you have spoken concerning this place, to cut it off, that none shall dwell there, neither man nor animal, but that it shall be desolate forever.

⁶³When you have finished reading this book you shall bind a stone to it, and throw it into the middle of the Euphrates: ⁶⁴and you shall say, Thus shall Babylon sink, and shall not rise again because of the evil that I will bring on her; and they shall be weary. Thus far are the words of Jeremiah.

Jeremiah Chapter 52

¹Zedekiah was twenty-one years old when he began to reign; and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem: and his mother's name was Hamutal the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.

²He did what was evil in the sight of ForeverOne, according to all that Jehoiakim had done.

³For through the anger of ForeverOne this happened in Jerusalem and Judah, until he had thrown them out from his presence. Zedekiah rebelled against the king of Babylon.

⁴In the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, in the tenth day of the month, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came, he and all his army, against Jerusalem, and encamped against it; and they built forts against it round about.

⁵So the city was besieged to the eleventh year of king Zedekiah.

⁶In the fourth month, in the ninth day of the month, the famine was severe in the city, so that there was no bread for the people of the land.

⁷Then a breach was made in the city, and all the men of war fled, and went forth out of the city by night along the road of the gate between the two walls, which was by the king's garden; (now the Chaldeans were against the city all around;) and they went toward the Arabah.

⁸But the army of the Chaldeans pursued after the king, and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho; and all his army was scattered from him.

⁹Then they took the king, and carried him up to the king of Babylon to Riblah in the land of Hamath; and he gave judgment on him.

¹⁰The king of Babylon killed the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes: he killed also all the princes of Judah in Riblah.

¹¹He put out the eyes of Zedekiah; and the king of Babylon bound him in fetters, and carried him to Babylon, and put him in prison until the day of his death.

Psalm 119

¹⁰⁵[NUN] Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path.

¹⁰⁶I have sworn, and have confirmed it, that I will obey your righteous ordinances.

¹⁰⁷I am afflicted very much. Revive me, ForeverOne, according to your word.

¹⁰⁸Accept, I beg you, the willing offerings of my mouth. ForeverOne, teach me your ordinances.

¹⁰⁹My soul is continually in my hand, yet I won't forget your law.

¹¹⁰The wicked have laid a snare for me, yet I haven't gone astray from your precepts.

¹¹¹I have taken your testimonies as a heritage forever, for they are the joy of my heart.

¹¹²I have set my heart to perform your statutes forever, even to the end.

¹¹³[SAMEKH] I hate double-minded men, but I love your law.

¹¹⁴You are my hiding place and my shield. I hope in your word.

¹¹⁵Depart from me, you evildoers, that I may keep the commandments of my God.

¹¹⁶Uphold me according to your word, that I may live. Let me not be ashamed of my hope.

¹¹⁷Hold me up, and I will be safe, and will have respect for your statutes continually.

¹¹⁸You reject all those who stray from your statutes, for their deceit is in vain.

¹¹⁹You put away all the wicked of the earth like dross. Therefore I love your testimonies.

¹²⁰My flesh trembles for fear of you. I am afraid of your judgments.

¹²¹[AYIN] I have done what is just and righteous. Don't leave me to my oppressors.

¹²²Ensure your servant's well-being. Don't let the proud oppress me.

¹²³My eyes fail looking for your salvation, for your righteous word.

¹²⁴Deal with your servant according to your loving kindness. Teach me your statutes.

¹²⁵I am your servant. Give me understanding, that I may know your testimonies.

¹²⁶It is time to act, ForeverOne, for they break your law.

¹²⁷Therefore I love your commandments more than gold, yes, more than pure gold.

¹²⁸Therefore I consider all of your precepts to be right. I hate every false way.

¹²⁹[PEH] Your testimonies are wonderful, therefore my soul keeps them.

¹³⁰The entrance of your words gives light. It gives understanding to the simple.

¹³¹I opened my mouth wide and panted, for I longed for your commandments.

¹³²Turn to me, and have mercy on me, as you always do to those who love your name.

¹³³Establish my footsteps in your word. Don't let any iniquity have dominion over me.

¹³⁴Redeem me from the oppression of man, so I will observe your precepts.

¹³⁵Make your face shine on your servant. Teach me your statutes.

¹³⁶Streams of tears run down my eyes, because they don't observe your law.

Galatians Chapter 4

¹But I say that so long as the heir is a child, he is no different from a bondservant, though he is Lord of all, ²but is under guardians and stewards until the day appointed by the father.

³So we also, when we were children, were held in slavery under the elemental principles of the world.

⁴But when the fullness of the time came, God sent out his Son, born to a woman, born under the law, ⁵that he might redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as children.

⁶And because you are children, God sent out the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, "Abba, Father!" ⁷So you are no longer a bondservant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through AnointedOne.

⁸However at that time, not knowing God, you were in slavery to those who by nature are not gods.

⁹But now that you have come to know God, or rather to be known by God, why do you turn back again to the weak and miserable elemental principles, to which you desire to be in slavery all over again?

¹⁰You observe days, months, seasons, and years.

¹¹I am afraid for you, that I might have wasted my labor for you.

¹²I beg you, brothers, become as I am, for I also have become as you are. You did me no wrong, ¹³but you know that because of weakness in the flesh I preached the Good News to you the first time.

¹⁴What was a temptation to you in my flesh, you didn't despise nor reject; but you received me as an angel of God, even as AnointedOne Jesus.

¹⁵What was the blessing you enjoyed? For I testify to you that, if possible, you would have plucked out your eyes and given them to me.

¹⁶So then, have I become your enemy by telling you the truth?

¹⁷They zealously seek you in no good way. No, they desire to alienate you, that you may seek them.

¹⁸But it is always good to be zealous in a good cause, and not only when I am present with you.

¹⁹My little children, of whom I am again in childbirth until AnointedOne is formed in you - ²⁰but I could wish to be present with you now, and to change my tone, for I am perplexed about you.

²¹Tell me, you that desire to be under the law, don't you listen to the law?

²²For it is written that Abraham had two sons, one by the servant, and one by the free woman.

²³However, the son by the servant was born according to the flesh, but the son by the free woman was born through promise.

²⁴These things contain an allegory, for these are two covenants. One is from Mount Sinai, bearing children to slavery, which is Hagar.

²⁵For this Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia, and answers to the Jerusalem that exists now, for she is in slavery with her children.

²⁶But the Jerusalem that is above is free, which is the mother of us all.

²⁷For it is written, "Rejoice, you barren who don't bear. Break out and shout, you that aren't in childbirth . For the desolate women have more children than she who has a husband." ²⁸Now we, brothers, as Isaac was, are children of promise.

²⁹But just as he who was born according to the flesh persecuted him who was born according to the Spirit, so also it is now.

³⁰However, what does the Scripture say? "Throw out the servant and her son, for the son of the servant will not inherit with the son of the free woman." ³¹So then, brothers, we are not children of a servant, but of the free woman.
