Leviticus Chapter 9

¹⁵He presented the people's offering, and took the goat of the sin offering which was for the people, and killed it, and offered it for sin, like the first.

¹⁶He presented the burnt offering, and offered it according to the ordinance.

¹⁷He presented the meal offering, and filled his hand from there, and burned it upon the altar, besides the burnt offering of the morning.

¹⁸He also killed the bull and the ram, the sacrifice of peace offerings, which was for the people: and Aaron's sons delivered to him the blood, which he sprinkled around on the altar, ¹⁹and the fat of the bull and of the ram, the fat tail, and what covers the innards, and the kidneys, and the cover of the liver: ²⁰and they put the fat upon the breasts, and he burned the fat on the altar: ²¹and the breasts and the right thigh Aaron waved for a wave offering before ForeverOne, as Moses commanded.

²²Aaron lifted up his hands toward the people, and blessed them; and he came down from offering the sin offering, and the burnt offering, and the peace offerings.

²³Moses and Aaron went into the Tent of Meeting, and came out, and blessed the people: and the glory of ForeverOne appeared to all the people.

²⁴There came out fire from before ForeverOne, and consumed the burnt offering and the fat upon the altar: and when all the people saw it, they shouted, and fell on their faces.

Leviticus Chapter 10

¹Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, each took his censer, and put fire in it, and laid incense on it, and offered strange fire before ForeverOne, which he had not commanded them.

²And fire came out from before ForeverOne, and devoured them, and they died before ForeverOne.

³Then Moses said to Aaron, "This is what ForeverOne spoke of, saying, 'I will show myself holy to those who come near me, and before all the people I will be glorified.'" Aaron held his peace.

⁴Moses called Mishael and Elzaphan, the sons of Uzziel the uncle of Aaron, and said to them, "Draw near, carry your brothers from before the sanctuary out of the camp." ⁵So they drew near, and carried them in their coats out of the camp, as Moses had said.

Isaiah Chapter 13

⁹Behold, the day of ForeverOne comes, cruel, with wrath and fierce anger; to make the land a desolation, and to destroy its sinners out of it.

¹⁰For the stars of the sky and its constellations will not give their light. The sun will be darkened in its going forth, and the moon will not cause its light to shine.

¹¹I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity. I will cause the arrogance of the proud to cease, and will humble the haughtiness of the terrible.

¹²I will make people more rare than fine gold, even a person than the pure gold of Ophir.

¹³Therefore I will make the heavens tremble, and the earth will be shaken out of its place in the wrath of ForeverOne of Armies, and in the day of his fierce anger.

¹⁴Like a hunted gazelle, and like sheep that no one gathers, they will each turn to their own people, and will each flee to their own land.

¹⁵Everyone who is found will be thrust through. Everyone who is captured will fall by the sword.

¹⁶Their infants also will be dashed in pieces before their eyes. Their houses will be ransacked, and their wives raped.

¹⁷Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, who will not value silver, and as for gold, they will not delight in it.

¹⁸Their bows will dash the young men in pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb. Their eyes will not spare children.

¹⁹Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldeans' pride, will be like when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.

²⁰It will never be inhabited, neither will it be lived in from generation to generation. The Arabian will not pitch a tent there, neither will shepherds make their flocks lie down there.

²¹But wild animals of the desert will lie there, and their houses will be full of jackals. Ostriches will dwell there, and wild goats will frolic there.

²²Wolves will cry in their castles, and jackals in the pleasant palaces. Her time is near to come, and her days will not be prolonged.

Isaiah Chapter 14

¹For ForeverOne will have compassion on Jacob, and will yet choose Israel, and set them in their own land. The foreigner will join himself with them, and they will unite with the house of Jacob.

²The peoples will take them, and bring them to their place. The house of Israel will possess them in ForeverOne's land for servants and for handmaids. They will take as captives those whose captives they were; and they shall rule over their oppressors.

³In the day ForeverOne will give you rest from your sorrow, from your trouble, and from the hard service in which you were made to serve, ⁴you will take up this parable against the king of Babylon, and say, "How the oppressor has ceased! The golden city has ceased!" ⁵ForeverOne has broken the staff of the wicked, the scepter of the rulers, ⁶who struck the peoples in wrath with a continual stroke, who ruled the nations in anger, with a persecution that none restrained.

⁷The whole earth is at rest, and is quiet. They break out song.

⁸Yes, the fir trees rejoice with you, with the cedars of Lebanon, saying, "Since you are humbled, no lumberjack has come up against us." ⁹Sheol from beneath has moved for you to meet you at your coming. It stirs up the dead for you, even all the rulers of the earth. It has raised up from their thrones all the kings of the nations.

¹⁰They all will answer and ask you, "Have you also become as weak as we are? Have you become like us?" ¹¹Your pomp is brought down to Sheol, with the sound of your stringed instruments. Maggots are spread out under you, and worms cover you.

¹²How you have fallen from heaven, morning star, son of the dawn! How you are cut down to the ground, who laid the nations low!

¹³You said in your heart, "I will ascend into heaven! I will exalt my throne above the stars of God! I will sit on the mountain of assembly, in the far north!

¹⁴I will ascend above the heights of the clouds! I will make myself like the Most High!" ¹⁵Yet you shall be brought down to Sheol, to the depths of the pit.

¹⁶Those who see you will stare at you. They will ponder you, saying, "Is this the man who made the earth to tremble, who shook kingdoms; ¹⁷who made the world like a wilderness, and overthrew its cities; who didn't release his prisoners to their home?"

Job Chapter 32

¹¹"Behold, I waited for your words, and I listened for your reasoning, while you searched out what to say.

¹²Yes, I gave you my full attention, but there was no one who convinced Job, or who answered his words, among you.

¹³Beware lest you say, 'We have found wisdom, God may refute him, not man;' ¹⁴for he has not directed his words against me; neither will I answer him with your speeches.

¹⁵"They are amazed. They answer no more. They don't have a word to say.

¹⁶Shall I wait, because they don't speak, because they stand still, and answer no more?

¹⁷I also will answer my part, and I also will show my opinion.

¹⁸For I am full of words. The spirit within me constrains me.

¹⁹Behold, my breast is as wine which has no vent; like new wineskins it is ready to burst.

²⁰I will speak, that I may be refreshed. I will open my lips and answer.

²¹Please don't let me respect any man's person, neither will I give flattering titles to any man.

²²For I don't know how to give flattering titles; or else my Maker would soon take me away.

Job Chapter 33

¹"However, Job, please hear my speech, and listen to all my words.

²See now, I have opened my mouth. My tongue has spoken in my mouth.

³My words shall utter the uprightness of my heart. What my lips know they shall speak sincerely.

⁴The Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.

⁵If you can, answer me! Arrange your words before me! Brace yourself.

⁶Behold, I am toward God even as you are. I am also formed out of the clay.

⁷Behold, my terror shall not make you afraid, neither shall my pressure be heavy on you.

⁸"Surely you have spoken in my hearing, I have heard the voice of your words, saying, ⁹'I am clean, without disobedience. I am innocent, neither is there iniquity in me.

¹⁰Behold, he finds occasions against me. He counts me for his enemy.

¹¹He puts my feet in the stocks. He marks all my paths.' ¹²"Behold, I will answer you. In this you are not just, for God is greater than man.

¹³Why do you strive against him, because he doesn't give account of any of his matters?

Acts Chapter 7

³⁵"This Moses, whom they refused, saying, 'Who made you a ruler and a judge?'- God has sent him as both a ruler and a deliverer by the hand of the angel who appeared to him in the bush.

³⁶This man led them out, having worked wonders and signs in Egypt, in the Red Sea, and in the wilderness for forty years.

³⁷This is that Moses, who said to the children of Israel, 'ForeverOne our God will raise up a prophet for you from among your brothers, like me.' ³⁸This is he who was in the assembly in the wilderness with the angel that spoke to him on Mount Sinai, and with our fathers, who received living revelations to give to us, ³⁹to whom our fathers wouldn't be obedient, but rejected him, and turned back in their hearts to Egypt, ⁴⁰saying to Aaron, 'Make us gods that will go before us, for as for this Moses, who led us out of the land of Egypt, we don't know what has become of him.' ⁴¹They made a calf in those days, and brought a sacrifice to the idol, and rejoiced in the work of their hands.

⁴²But God turned, and gave them up to serve the army of the sky, as it is written in the book of the prophets, 'Did you offer to me slain animals and sacrifices forty years in the wilderness, O house of Israel?

⁴³You took up the tabernacle of Moloch, the star of your god Rephan, the figures which you made to worship. I will carry you away beyond Babylon.' ⁴⁴"Our fathers had the tabernacle of the testimony in the wilderness, even as he who spoke to Moses commanded him to make it according to the pattern that he had seen; ⁴⁵which also our fathers, in their turn, brought in with Joshua when they entered into the possession of the nations, whom God drove out before the face of our fathers, to the days of David, ⁴⁶who found favor in the sight of God, and asked to find a habitation for the God of Jacob.

⁴⁷But Solomon built him a house.

⁴⁸However, the Most High doesn't dwell in temples made with hands, as the prophet says, ⁴⁹'heaven is my throne, and the earth a footstool for my feet. What kind of house will you build me?' says ForeverOne; 'or what is the place of my rest?

⁵⁰Didn't my hand make all these things?' ⁵¹"You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, you always resist the Holy Spirit! As your fathers did, so you do.

⁵²Which of the prophets didn't your fathers persecute? They killed those who foretold the coming of the Righteous One, of whom you have now become betrayers and murderers.

⁵³You received the law as it was ordained by angels, and didn't keep it!"
