Deuteronomy 3:1-14

Deuteronomy Chapter 3

1Then we turned, and went up the way to Bashan: and Og the king of Bashan came out against us, he and all his people, to battle at Edrei.

2ForeverOne said to me, "Don't fear him; for I have delivered him, and all his people, and his land, into your hand; and you shall do to him as you did to Sihon king of the Amorites, who lived at Heshbon." 3So ForeverOne our God delivered into our hand Og also, the king of Bashan, and all his people: and we struck him until none was left to him remaining.

4We took all his cities at that time; there was not a city which we didn't take from them; sixty cities, all the region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan.

5All these were cities fortified with high walls, gates, and bars; besides the unwalled towns a great many.

6We utterly destroyed them, as we did to Sihon king of Heshbon, utterly destroying every inhabited city, with the women and the little ones.

7But all the livestock, and the spoil of the cities, we took for a prey to ourselves.

8We took the land at that time out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites who were beyond the Jordan, from the valley of the Arnon to Mount Hermon; 9([which] Hermon the Sidonians call Sirion, and the Amorites call it Senir;) 10all the cities of the plain, and all Gilead, and all Bashan, to Salecah and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan.

11(For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of the Rephaim; behold, his bedstead was a bedstead of iron; isn't it in Rabbah of the children of Ammon? nine cubits was its length, and four cubits its width, after the cubit of a man.) 12This land we took in possession at that time: from Aroer, which is by the valley of the Arnon, and half the hill country of Gilead, and its cities, gave I to the Reubenites and to the Gadites: 13and the rest of Gilead, and all Bashan, the kingdom of Og, gave I to the half-tribe of Manasseh; all the region of Argob, even all Bashan. (which is called the land of Rephaim.

14Jair the son of Manasseh took all the region of Argob, to the border of the Geshurites and the Maacathites, and called them, even Bashan, after his own name, Havvoth Jair, to this day.)

Ezekiel 33:10-33

24 verses

Ezekiel Chapter 33

10You, son of man, tell the house of Israel: Thus you speak, saying, Our transgressions and our sins are on us, and we pine away in them; then how can we live?

11Tell them, As I live, says LordOfMine ForeverOne, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn, turn from your evil ways; for why will you die, house of Israel?

12You, son of man, tell the children of your people, 'The righteousness of the righteous will not deliver him in the day of his disobedience. And as for the wickedness of the wicked, he will not fall by it in the day that he turns from his wickedness; nor will he who is righteous be able to live by it in the day that he sins.

13When I tell the righteous that he shall surely live; [but] if he trust to his righteousness, and commit iniquity, none of his righteous deeds shall be remembered. He shall die in the iniquity that he has committed.

14Again, when I say to the wicked, You shall surely die; if he turn from his sin, and do what is lawful and right; 15if the wicked restore the pledge, give again what he had taken by robbery, walk in the statutes of life, committing no iniquity; he shall surely live, he shall not die.

16None of his sins that he has committed shall be remembered against him: he has done what is lawful and right; he shall surely live.

17Yet the children of your people say, The way of LordOfMine is not equal: but as for them, their way is not equal.

18When the righteous turns from his righteousness, and commits iniquity, he shall die in it.

19When the wicked turns from his wickedness, and does what is lawful and right, he shall live in it.

20Yet you say, The way of LordOfMine is not equal. House of Israel, I will judge every one of you after his ways.' 21In the twelfth year of our captivity, in the tenth [month], in the fifth [day] of the month, one who had escaped out of Jerusalem came to me, saying, The city has been struck.

22Now the hand of ForeverOne had been on me in the evening, before he who was escaped came; and he had opened my mouth, until he came to me in the morning; and my mouth was opened, and I was no more mute.

23The word of ForeverOne came to me, saying, 24Son of man, they who inhabit those waste places in the land of Israel speak, saying, Abraham was one, and he inherited the land: but we are many; the land is given us for inheritance.

25Therefore tell them, Thus says LordOfMine ForeverOne: You eat with the blood, and lift up your eyes to your idols, and shed blood: and shall you possess the land?

26You stand on your sword, you work abomination, and every one of you defiles his neighbor's wife: and shall you possess the land?

27You shall tell them, Thus says LordOfMine ForeverOne: As I live, surely those who are in the waste places shall fall by the sword; and him who is in the open field will I give to the animals to be devoured; and those who are in the strongholds and in the caves shall die of the pestilence.

28I will make the land a desolation and an astonishment; and the pride of her power shall cease; and the mountains of Israel shall be desolate, so that none shall pass through.

29Then shall they know that I am ForeverOne, when I have made the land a desolation and an astonishment, because of all their abominations which they have committed.

30As for you, son of man, the children of your people talk of you by the walls and in the doors of the houses, and speak one to another, everyone to his brother, saying, Please come and hear what is the word that comes forth from ForeverOne.

31They come to you as the people come, and they sit before you as my people, and they hear your words, but don't do them; for with their mouth they show much love, but their heart goes after their gain.

32Behold, you are to them as a very lovely song of one who has a pleasant voice, and can play well on an instrument; for they hear your words, but they don't do them.

33When this comes to pass, (behold, it comes), then shall they know that a prophet has been among them.

Proverbs 20:7-21:3

27 verses

Proverbs Chapter 20

7A righteous man walks in integrity. Blessed are his children after him.

8A king who sits on the throne of judgment scatters away all evil with his eyes.

9Who can say, "I have made my heart pure. I am clean and without sin?" 10Differing weights and differing measures, both of them alike are an abomination to ForeverOne.

11Even a child makes himself known by his doings, whether his work is pure, and whether it is right.

12The hearing ear, and the seeing eye, ForeverOne has made even both of them.

13Don't love sleep, lest you come to poverty. Open your eyes, and you shall be satisfied with bread.

14"It's no good, it's no good," says the buyer; but when he is gone his way, then he boasts.

15There is gold and abundance of rubies; but the lips of knowledge are a rare jewel.

16Take the garment of one who puts up collateral for a stranger; and hold him in pledge for a wayward woman.

17Fraudulent food is sweet to a man, but afterwards his mouth is filled with gravel.

18Plans are established by advice; by wise guidance you wage war!

19He who goes about as a tale-bearer reveals secrets; therefore don't keep company with him who opens wide his lips.

20Whoever curses his father or his mother, his lamp shall be put out in blackness of darkness.

21An inheritance quickly gained at the beginning, won't be blessed in the end.

22Don't say, "I will pay back evil." Wait for ForeverOne, and he will save you.

23ForeverOne detests differing weights, and dishonest scales are not pleasing.

24A man's steps are from ForeverOne; then how can man understand his way?

25It is a snare to a man to make a rash dedication, then later to consider his vows.

26A wise king winnows out the wicked, and drives the threshing wheel over them.

27The spirit of man is ForeverOne's lamp, searching all his innermost parts.

28Love and faithfulness keep the king safe. His throne is sustained by love.

29The glory of young men is their strength. The splendor of old men is their gray hair.

30Wounding blows cleanse away evil, and beatings purge the innermost parts.

Proverbs Chapter 21

1The king's heart is in ForeverOne's hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he desires.

2Every way of a man is right in his own eyes, but ForeverOne weighs the hearts.

3To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to ForeverOne than sacrifice.

Philemon1

25 verses

Philemon

1Paul, a prisoner of AnointedOne Jesus, and Timothy our brother, to Philemon, our dear fellow worker, 2and our sister Apphia, and Archippus our fellow soldier, and to the assembly in your house: 3Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus AnointedOne.

4I thank my God always, making mention of you in my prayers, 5hearing of your love and of the faith which you have toward the Lord Jesus and toward all the saints; 6that the fellowship of your faith may become effective in the knowledge of every good thing which is in us in AnointedOne Jesus.

7For we have much joy and comfort in your love, because the hearts of the saints have been refreshed through you, brother.

8So, though I have all boldness in the AnointedOne to command you what is appropriate, 9yet for love's sake I rather beg, being such a one as Paul the old man and a prisoner for Jesus AnointedOne.

10I beg you for my child, Onesimus, whom I have become the father of in my chains, 11who once was useless to you, but now is useful to you and to me.

12I am sending him back. Therefore receive him who is my very heart, 13whom I desired to keep with me, that on your behalf he might serve me in my chains for the Good News.

14But I was willing to do nothing without your consent, that your goodness would not be as of necessity, but of free will.

15So perhaps he was separated from you for a while, that you would have him forever, 16no longer as a slave, but more than a slave, a dear brother, especially to me, but how much rather to you, both in the flesh and in the Lord.

17If you count me a partner, receive him as you would receive me; 18and if he wrongs you at all or owes you anything, put that on my account.

19I, Paul, write this with my own hand: I will repay it (not to mention to you that you owe to me even your own self besides).

20Yes, brother, let me have joy from you in the Lord. Refresh my heart in the Lord.

21Having confidence in your obedience, I write to you, knowing that you will do even beyond what I say.

22Also, prepare a guest room for me, for I hope that through your prayers I will be restored to you.

23Epaphras, my fellow prisoner in AnointedOne Jesus, greets you, 24as do Mark, Aristarchus, Demas, and Luke, my fellow workers.

25The grace of our Lord Jesus AnointedOne be with your spirit. Amen.
