Exodus Chapter 35

⁴Moses spoke to all the congregation of the children of Israel, saying, "This is the thing which ForeverOne commanded, saying, ⁵'Take from among you an offering to ForeverOne. Whoever is of a willing heart, let him bring it, ForeverOne's offering: gold, silver, brass, ⁶blue, purple, scarlet, fine linen, goats' hair, ⁷rams' skins dyed red, sea cow hides, acacia wood, ⁸oil for the light, spices for the anointing oil and for the sweet incense, ⁹onyx stones, and stones to be set for the ephod and for the breastplate.

¹⁰"'Let every wise-hearted man among you come, and make all that ForeverOne has commanded: ¹¹the tabernacle, its outer covering, its roof, its clasps, its boards, its bars, its pillars, and its sockets; ¹²the ark, and its poles, the mercy seat, the veil of the screen; ¹³the table with its poles and all its vessels, and the show bread; ¹⁴the lampstand also for the light, with its vessels, its lamps, and the oil for the light; ¹⁵and the altar of incense with its poles, the anointing oil, the sweet incense, the screen for the door, at the door of the tabernacle; ¹⁶the altar of burnt offering, with its grating of brass, it poles, and all its vessels, the basin and its base; ¹⁷the hangings of the court, its pillars, their sockets, and the screen for the gate of the court; ¹⁸the pins of the tabernacle, the pins of the court, and their cords; ¹⁹the finely worked garments, for ministering in the holy place, the holy garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments of his sons, to minister in the priest's office.'" ²⁰All the congregation of the children of Israel departed from the presence of Moses.

²¹They came, everyone whose heart stirred him up, and everyone whom his spirit made willing, and brought ForeverOne's offering, for the work of the Tent of Meeting, and for all of its service, and for the holy garments.

²²They came, both men and women, as many as were willing-hearted, and brought brooches, earrings, signet rings, and armlets, all jewels of gold; even every man who offered an offering of gold to ForeverOne.

²³Everyone, with whom was found blue, purple, scarlet, fine linen, goats' hair, rams' skins dyed red, and sea cow hides, brought them.

²⁴Everyone who offered an offering of silver and brass brought ForeverOne's offering; and everyone, with whom was found acacia wood for any work of the service, brought it.

2 Kings Chapter 10

³²In those days ForeverOne began to cut off from Israel; and Hazael struck them in all the borders of Israel; ³³from the Jordan eastward, all the land of Gilead, the Gadites, and the Reubenites, and the Manassites, from Aroer, which is by the valley of the Arnon, even Gilead and Bashan.

³⁴Now the rest of the acts of Jehu, and all that he did, and all his might, aren't they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Israel?

³⁵Jehu slept with his fathers; and they buried him in Samaria. Jehoahaz his son reigned in his place.

³⁶The time that Jehu reigned over Israel in Samaria was twenty-eight years.

2 Kings Chapter 11

¹Now when Athaliah the mother of Ahaziah saw that her son was dead, she arose and destroyed all the offspring royal.

²But Jehosheba, the daughter of king Joram, sister of Ahaziah, took Joash the son of Ahaziah, and stole him away from among the king's sons who were slain, even him and his nurse, [and put them] in the bedroom; and they hid him from Athaliah, so that he was not slain; ³He was with her hidden in the house of ForeverOne six years. Athaliah reigned over the land.

⁴In the seventh year Jehoiada sent and fetched the captains over hundreds of the Carites and of the guard, and brought them to him into the house of ForeverOne; and he made a covenant with them, and took an oath of them in the house of ForeverOne, and showed them the king's son.

⁵He commanded them, saying, "This is the thing that you shall do: a third part of you, who come in on the Sabbath, shall be keepers of the watch of the king's house; ⁶A third part shall be at the gate Sur; and a third part at the gate behind the guard. So you shall keep the watch of the house, and be a barrier.

⁷The two groups of you, even all who go out on the Sabbath, shall keep the watch of the house of ForeverOne around the king.

⁸You shall surround the king, every man with his weapons in his hand; and he who comes within the ranks, let him be slain. Be with the king when he goes out, and when he comes in." ⁹The captains over hundreds did according to all that Jehoiada the priest commanded; and they took every man his men, those who were to come in on the Sabbath, with those who were to go out on the Sabbath, and came to Jehoiada the priest.

¹⁰The priest delivered to the captains over hundreds the spears and shields that had been king David's, which were in the house of ForeverOne.

¹¹The guard stood, every man with his weapons in his hand, from the right side of the house to the left side of the house, along by the altar and the house, around the king.

¹²Then he brought out the king's son, and put the crown on him, and [gave him] the testimony; and they made him king, and anointed him; and they clapped their hands, and said, "Long live the king!" ¹³When Athaliah heard the noise of the guard [and of] the people, she came to the people into the house of ForeverOne: ¹⁴and she looked, and behold, the king stood by the pillar, as the tradition was, and the captains and the trumpets by the king; and all the people of the land rejoiced, and blew trumpets. Then Athaliah tore her clothes, and cried, "Treason! Treason!" ¹⁵Jehoiada the priest commanded the captains of hundreds who were set over the army, and said to them, "Bring her out between the ranks. Kill him who follows her with the sword." For the priest said, "Don't let her be slain in the house of ForeverOne." ¹⁶So they made way for her; and she went by the way of the horses' entry to the king's house. She was slain there.

Job Chapter 2

¹Again on the day when the God's sons came to present themselves before ForeverOne, Satan came also among them to present himself before ForeverOne.

²ForeverOne said to Satan, "Where have you come from?" Satan answered ForeverOne, and said, "From going back and forth in the earth, and from walking up and down in it." ³ForeverOne said to Satan, "Have you considered my servant Job? For there is none like him in the earth, a blameless and an upright man, one who fears God, and turns away from evil. He still maintains his integrity, although you incited me against him, to ruin him without cause." ⁴Satan answered ForeverOne, and said, "Skin for skin. Yes, all that a man has he will give for his life.

⁵But reach out your hand now, and touch his bone and his flesh, and he will renounce you to your face." ⁶ForeverOne said to Satan, "Behold, he is in your hand. Only spare his life." ⁷So Satan went out from the presence of ForeverOne, and struck Job with painful sores from the sole of his foot to his head.

⁸He took for himself a potsherd to scrape himself with, and he sat among the ashes.

⁹Then his wife said to him, "Do you still maintain your integrity? Renounce God, and die." ¹⁰But he said to her, "You speak as one of the foolish women would speak. What? Shall we receive good at the hand of God, and shall we not receive evil?" In all this Job didn't sin with his lips.

¹¹Now when Job's three friends heard of all this evil that had come on him, they each came from his own place: Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite, and they made an appointment together to come to sympathize with him and to comfort him.

¹²When they lifted up their eyes from a distance, and didn't recognize him, they raised their voices, and wept; and they each tore his robe, and sprinkled dust on their heads toward the sky.

¹³So they sat down with him on the ground seven days and seven nights, and none spoke a word to him, for they saw that his grief was very great.

John Chapter 11

⁵⁵Now the Passover of the Jews was at hand. Many went up from the country to Jerusalem before the Passover, to purify themselves.

⁵⁶Then they looked for Jesus and said to one another as they stood in the temple, "What do you think- that he isn't coming to the feast at all?" ⁵⁷Now the chief priests and the Pharisees had commanded that if anyone knew where he was, he should report it, that they might seize him.

John Chapter 12

¹Then six days before the Passover, Jesus came to Bethany, where Lazarus was, who had been dead, whom he raised from the dead.

²So they made him a supper there. Martha served, but Lazarus was one of those who sat at the table with him.

³Then Mary took a pound of ointment of pure nard, very precious, and anointed Jesus's feet and wiped his feet with her hair. The house was filled with the fragrance of the ointment.

⁴Then Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, one of his disciples, who would betray him, said, ⁵"Why wasn't this ointment sold for three hundred denarii, and given to the poor?" ⁶Now he said this, not because he cared for the poor, but because he was a thief, and having the money box, used to steal what was put into it.

⁷But Jesus said, "Leave her alone. She has kept this for the day of my burial.

⁸For you always have the poor with you, but you don't always have me." ⁹So a large crowd of the Jews learned that he was there, and they came, not for Jesus' sake only, but that they might see Lazarus also, whom he had raised from the dead.

¹⁰But the chief priests conspired to put Lazarus to death also, ¹¹because on account of him many of the Jews went away and believed in Jesus.

¹²On the next day a great multitude had come to the feast. When they heard that Jesus was coming to Jerusalem, ¹³they took the branches of the palm trees and went out to meet him, and cried out, "Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of ForeverOne, the King of Israel!" ¹⁴Jesus, having found a young donkey, sat on it. As it is written, ¹⁵"Don't be afraid, daughter of Zion. Behold, your King comes, sitting on a donkey's colt." ¹⁶His disciples didn't understand these things at first, but when Jesus was glorified, then they remembered that these things were written about him, and that they had done these things to him.

¹⁷So the multitude that was with him when he called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead was testifying about it.

¹⁸For this cause also the multitude went and met him, because they heard that he had done this sign.

¹⁹The Pharisees therefore said among themselves, "See how you accomplish nothing. Behold, the world has gone after him."
