Leviticus Chapter 8

²²He presented the other ram, the ram of consecration: and Aaron and his sons laid their hands on the head of the ram.

²³He killed it; and Moses took some of its blood, and put it on the tip of Aaron's right ear, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the great toe of his right foot.

²⁴He brought Aaron's sons; and Moses put some of the blood on the tip of their right ear, and on the thumb of their right hand, and on the great toe of their right foot; and Moses sprinkled the blood around on the altar.

²⁵He took the fat, and the fat tail, and all the fat that was on the innards, and the cover of the liver, and the two kidneys, and their fat, and the right thigh; ²⁶and out of the basket of unleavened bread, that was before ForeverOne, he took one unleavened cake, and one cake of oiled bread, and one wafer, and placed them on the fat, and on the right thigh.

²⁷He put all these in Aaron's hands and in his sons' hands, and waved them for a wave offering before ForeverOne.

²⁸Moses took them from their hands, and burned them on the altar on the burnt offering. They were a consecration for a pleasant aroma. It was an offering made by fire to ForeverOne.

²⁹Moses took the breast, and waved it for a wave offering before ForeverOne. It was Moses' portion of the ram of consecration, as ForeverOne commanded Moses.

³⁰Moses took some of the anointing oil, and some of the blood which was on the altar, and sprinkled it on Aaron, on his garments, and on his sons, and on his sons' garments with him, and sanctified Aaron, his garments, and his sons, and his sons' garments with him.

³¹Moses said to Aaron and to his sons, "Boil the flesh at the door of the Tent of Meeting, and there eat it and the bread that is in the basket of consecration, as I commanded, saying, 'Aaron and his sons shall eat it.' ³²What remains of the flesh and of the bread you shall burn with fire.

³³Don't go out of the door of the Tent of Meeting for seven days, until the days of your consecration are fulfilled: for he shall consecrate you for seven days.

³⁴What has been done today ForeverOne commanded to do, to make atonement for you.

³⁵You shall stay at the door of the Tent of Meeting day and night seven days, and keep ForeverOne's command, that you don't die: for so I am commanded." ³⁶Aaron and his sons did all the things which ForeverOne commanded by Moses.

Isaiah Chapter 10

⁸For he says, "Aren't all of my princes kings?

⁹Isn't Calno like Carchemish? Isn't Hamath like Arpad? Isn't Samaria like Damascus?" ¹⁰As my hand has found the kingdoms of the idols, whose engraved images exceeded those of Jerusalem and of Samaria; ¹¹shall I not, as I have done to Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols?

¹²Therefore it will happen that, when LordOfMine has performed his whole work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the willful proud heart of the king of Assyria, and the insolence of his haughty looks.

¹³For he has said, "By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom; for I have understanding: and I have removed the boundaries of the peoples, and have robbed their treasures. Like a valiant man I have brought down their rulers.

¹⁴My hand has found the riches of the peoples like a nest, and like one gathers eggs that are abandoned, have I gathered all the earth. There was no one who moved their wing, or that opened their mouth, or chirped." ¹⁵Should an axe brag against him who chops with it? Should a saw exalt itself above him who saws with it? As if a rod should lift those who lift it up, or as if a staff should lift up someone who is not wood.

¹⁶Therefore the Lord, ForeverOne of Armies, will send among his fat ones leanness; and under his glory a burning will be kindled like the burning of fire.

¹⁷The light of Israel will be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame; and it will burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day.

¹⁸He will consume the glory of his forest, and of his fruitful field, both soul and body. It will be as when a standard bearer faints.

¹⁹The remnant of the trees of his forest shall be few, so that a child could write their number.

²⁰It will come to pass in that day that the remnant of Israel, and those who have escaped from the house of Jacob will no more again lean on him who struck them, but shall lean on ForeverOne, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.

²¹A remnant will return, even the remnant of Jacob, to the mighty God.

²²For though your people, Israel, are like the sand of the sea, only a remnant of them will return. A destruction is determined, overflowing with righteousness.

²³For LordOfMine, ForeverOne of Armies, will make a full end, and that determined, in the midst of all the earth.

²⁴Therefore LordOfMine, ForeverOne of Armies, says "My people who dwell in Zion, don't be afraid of the Assyrian, though he strike you with the rod, and lift up his staff against you, as Egypt did.

²⁵For yet a very little while, and the indignation against you will be accomplished, and my anger will be directed to his destruction." ²⁶ForeverOne of Armies will stir up a scourge against him, as in the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb. His rod will be over the sea, and he will lift it up like he did against Egypt.

²⁷In that day, his burden will depart from off your shoulder, and his yoke from off your neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing oil.

²⁸He has come to Aiath. He has passed through Migron. At Michmash he stores his baggage.

²⁹They have gone over the pass. They have taken up their lodging at Geba. Ramah trembles. Gibeah of Saul has fled.

³⁰Cry aloud with your voice, daughter of Gallim! Listen, Laishah! You poor Anathoth!

³¹Madmenah is a fugitive. The inhabitants of Gebim flee for safety.

³²This very day he will halt at Nob. He shakes his hand at the mountain of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.

³³Behold, the Lord, ForeverOne of Armies, will lop the boughs with terror. The tall will be cut down, and the lofty will be brought low.

³⁴He will cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and Lebanon will fall by the Mighty One.

Isaiah Chapter 11

¹A shoot will come out of the stock of Jesse, and a branch out of his roots will bear fruit.

²The Spirit of ForeverOne will rest on him: the spirit of wisdom and understanding, the spirit of counsel and might, the spirit of knowledge and of the fear of ForeverOne.

³His delight will be in the fear of ForeverOne. He will not judge by the sight of his eyes, neither decide by the hearing of his ears; ⁴but with righteousness he will judge the poor, and decide with equity for the humble of the earth. He will strike the earth with the rod of his mouth; and with the breath of his lips he will kill the wicked.

⁵Righteousness will be the belt of his waist, and faithfulness the belt of his waist.

Job Chapter 30

²⁴"However doesn't one stretch out a hand in his fall? Or in his calamity therefore cry for help?

²⁵Didn't I weep for him who was in trouble? Wasn't my soul grieved for the needy?

²⁶When I looked for good, then evil came; When I waited for light, there came darkness.

²⁷My heart is troubled, and doesn't rest. Days of affliction have come on me.

²⁸I go mourning without the sun. I stand up in the assembly, and cry for help.

²⁹I am a brother to jackals, and a companion to ostriches.

³⁰My skin grows black and peels from me. My bones are burned with heat.

³¹Therefore my harp has turned to mourning, and my pipe into the voice of those who weep.

Job Chapter 31

¹"I made a covenant with my eyes, then how should I look lustfully at a young woman?

²For what is the portion from God above, and the heritage from the Almighty on high?

³Is it not calamity to the unrighteous, and disaster to the workers of iniquity?

⁴Doesn't he see my ways, and number all my steps?

⁵"If I have walked with falsehood, and my foot has hurried to deceit ⁶(let me be weighed in an even balance, that God may know my integrity); ⁷if my step has turned out of the way, if my heart walked after my eyes, if any defilement has stuck to my hands, ⁸then let me sow, and let another eat. Yes, let the produce of my field be rooted out.

⁹"If my heart has been enticed to a woman, and I have laid wait at my neighbor's door, ¹⁰then let my wife grind for another, and let others sleep with her.

¹¹For that would be a heinous crime. Yes, it would be an iniquity to be punished by the judges: ¹²For it is a fire that consumes to destruction, and would root out all my increase.

¹³"If I have despised the cause of my male servant or of my female servant, when they contended with me; ¹⁴What then shall I do when God rises up? When he visits, what shall I answer him?

¹⁵Didn't he who made me in the womb make him? Didn't one fashion us in the womb?

¹⁶"If I have withheld the poor from their desire, or have caused the eyes of the widow to fail, ¹⁷or have eaten my morsel alone, and the fatherless has not eaten of it ¹⁸(no, from my youth he grew up with me as with a father, her have I guided from my mother's womb); ¹⁹if I have seen any perish for want of clothing, or that the needy had no covering; ²⁰if his heart hasn't blessed me, if he hasn't been warmed with my sheep's fleece; ²¹if I have lifted up my hand against the fatherless, because I saw my help in the gate, ²²then let my shoulder fall from the shoulder blade, and my arm be broken from the bone.

²³For calamity from God is a terror to me. Because his majesty, I can do nothing.

Acts Chapter 6

⁸Stephen, full of faith and power, performed great wonders and signs among the people.

⁹But some of those who were of the synagogue called "The Libertines", and of the Cyrenians, of the Alexandrians, and of those of Cilicia and Asia arose, disputing with Stephen.

¹⁰They weren't able to withstand the wisdom and the Spirit by which he spoke.

¹¹Then they secretly induced men to say, "We have heard him speak blasphemous words against Moses and God." ¹²They stirred up the people, the elders, and the scribes, and came against him and seized him, then brought him in to the council, ¹³and set up false witnesses who said, "This man never stops speaking blasphemous words against this holy place and the law.

¹⁴For we have heard him say that this Jesus of Nazareth will destroy this place, and will change the customs which Moses delivered to us." ¹⁵All who sat in the council, fastening their eyes on him, saw his face like it was the face of an angel.

Acts Chapter 7

¹The high priest said, "Are these things so?" ²He said, "Brothers and fathers, listen. The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham when he was in Mesopotamia, before he lived in Haran, ³and said to him, 'Get out of your land and away from your relatives, and enter a land which I will show you.' ⁴Then he came out of the land of the Chaldaeans and lived in Haran. From there, when his father was dead, God moved him into this land, where you are now living.

⁵He gave him no inheritance in it, no, not so much as to set his foot on. He promised that he would give it to him for a possession, and to his offspring after him, when he still had no child.

⁶God spoke in this way: that his offspring would live as aliens in a strange land, and that they would be enslaved and mistreated for four hundred years.

⁷'I will judge the nation to which they will be in slavery,' said God, 'and after that they will come out, and serve me in this place.' ⁸He gave him the covenant of circumcision. So Abraham became the father of Isaac, and circumcised him the eighth day. Isaac became the father of Jacob, and Jacob became the father of the twelve patriarchs.

⁹"The patriarchs, moved with jealousy against Joseph, sold him into Egypt. God was with him, ¹⁰and delivered him out of all his afflictions, and gave him favor and wisdom before Pharaoh, king of Egypt. He made him governor over Egypt and all his house.

¹¹Now a famine came over all the land of Egypt and Canaan, and great affliction. Our fathers found no food.

¹²But when Jacob heard that there was grain in Egypt, he sent out our fathers the first time.

¹³On the second time Joseph was made known to his brothers, and Joseph's race was revealed to Pharaoh.

¹⁴Joseph sent and summoned Jacob, his father, and all his relatives, seventy-five souls.

¹⁵Jacob went down into Egypt and he died, himself and our fathers, ¹⁶and they were brought back to Shechem, and laid in the tomb that Abraham bought for a price in silver from the children of Hamor of Shechem.
