Numbers Chapter 21

¹⁷Then sang Israel this song: "Spring up, well; sing to it: ¹⁸the well, which the princes dug, which the nobles of the people dug, with the scepter, and with their poles." From the wilderness [they traveled] to Mattanah; ¹⁹and from Mattanah to Nahaliel; and from Nahaliel to Bamoth; ²⁰and from Bamoth to the valley that is in the field of Moab, to the top of Pisgah, which looks down on the desert.

²¹Israel sent messengers to Sihon king of the Amorites, saying, ²²"Let me pass through your land: we will not turn aside into field, or into vineyard; we will not drink of the water of the wells: we will go by the king's highway, until we have passed your border." ²³Sihon would not allow Israel to pass through his border: but Sihon gathered all his people together, and went out against Israel into the wilderness, and came to Jahaz; and he fought against Israel.

²⁴Israel struck him with the edge of the sword, and possessed his land from the Arnon to the Jabbok, even to the children of Ammon; for the border of the children of Ammon was strong.

²⁵Israel took all these cities: and Israel lived in all the cities of the Amorites, in Heshbon, and in all its towns.

²⁶For Heshbon was the city of Sihon the king of the Amorites, who had fought against the former king of Moab, and taken all his land out of his hand, even to the Arnon.

²⁷Therefore those who speak in proverbs say, "Come to Heshbon. Let the city of Sihon be built and established; ²⁸for a fire has gone out of Heshbon, a flame from the city of Sihon. It has devoured Ar of Moab, The lords of the high places of the Arnon.

²⁹Woe to you, Moab! You are undone, people of Chemosh! He has given his sons as fugitives, and his daughters into captivity, to Sihon king of the Amorites.

³⁰We have shot at them. Heshbon has perished even to Dibon. We have laid waste even to Nophah, Which reaches to Medeba." ³¹Thus Israel lived in the land of the Amorites.

³²Moses sent to spy out Jazer; and they took its towns, and drove out the Amorites who were there.

Jeremiah Chapter 50

¹⁷Israel is a hunted sheep; the lions have driven him away: first, the king of Assyria devoured him; and now at last Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon has broken his bones.

¹⁸Therefore thus says ForeverOne of Armies, the God of Israel: Behold, I will punish the king of Babylon and his land, as I have punished the king of Assyria.

¹⁹I will bring Israel again to his pasture, and he shall feed on Carmel and Bashan, and his soul shall be satisfied on the hills of Ephraim and in Gilead.

²⁰In those days, and in that time, says ForeverOne, the iniquity of Israel shall be sought for, and there shall be none; and the sins of Judah, and they shall not be found: for I will pardon them whom I leave as a remnant.

²¹Go up against the land of Merathaim, even against it, and against the inhabitants of Pekod: kill and utterly destroy after them, says ForeverOne, and do according to all that I have commanded you.

²²A sound of battle is in the land, and of great destruction.

²³How is the hammer of the whole earth cut apart and broken! how is Babylon become a desolation among the nations!

²⁴I have laid a snare for you, and you are also taken, Babylon, and you weren't aware: you are found, and also caught, because you have striven against ForeverOne.

²⁵ForeverOne has opened his armory, and has made the weapons of his indignation; for LordOfMine, ForeverOne of Armies, has a work [to do] in the land of the Chaldeans.

²⁶Come against her from the farthest border; open her storehouses; pile her up as heaps [of grain], and utterly destroy her; let nothing be left of her.

²⁷Kill all her bulls; let them go down to the slaughter: woe to them! for their day has come, the time of their visitation.

²⁸The voice of those who flee and escape out of the land of Babylon, to declare in Zion the vengeance of ForeverOne our God, the vengeance of his temple.

²⁹Call together the archers against Babylon, all those who bend the bow; encamp against her all around; let none of it escape: recompense her according to her work; according to all that she has done, do to her; for she has been proud against ForeverOne, against the Holy One of Israel.

³⁰Therefore her young men will fall in her streets, and all her men of war will be brought to silence in that day, says ForeverOne.

³¹Behold, I am against you, you proud one, says LordOfMine, ForeverOne of Armies; for your day has come, the time that I will visit you.

³²The proud one shall stumble and fall, and none shall raise him up; and I will kindle a fire in his cities, and it shall devour all who are around him.

³³Thus says ForeverOne of Armies: The children of Israel and the children of Judah are oppressed together; and all who took them captive hold them fast; they refuse to let them go.

³⁴Their Redeemer is strong; ForeverOne of Armies is his name: he will thoroughly plead their cause, that he may give rest to the earth, and disquiet the inhabitants of Babylon.

³⁵A sword is on the Chaldeans, says ForeverOne, and on the inhabitants of Babylon, and on her princes, and on her wise men.

³⁶A sword is on the boasters, and they shall become fools; a sword is on her mighty men, and they shall be dismayed.

³⁷A sword is on their horses, and on their chariots, and on all the mixed people who are in the midst of her; and they shall become as women: a sword is on her treasures, and they shall be robbed.

³⁸A drought is on her waters, and they shall be dried up; for it is a land of engraved images, and they are mad over idols.

³⁹Therefore the wild animals of the desert with the wolves shall dwell there, and the ostriches shall dwell there: and it shall no longer be inhabited forever; neither shall it be lived in from generation to generation.

⁴⁰As when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbor cities of it, says ForeverOne, so shall no man dwell there, neither shall any son of man live in it.

⁴¹Behold, a people comes from the north; and a great nation and many kings shall be stirred up from the uttermost parts of the earth.

⁴²They lay hold on bow and spear; they are cruel, and have no mercy; their voice roars like the sea; and they ride on horses, everyone set in array, as a man to the battle, against you, daughter of Babylon.

⁴³The king of Babylon has heard the news of them, and his hands wax feeble: anguish has taken hold of him, [and] pangs as of a woman in travail.

Psalm 119

¹[ALEPH] Blessed are those whose ways are blameless, who walk according to ForeverOne's law.

²Blessed are those who keep his statutes, who seek him with their whole heart.

³Yes, they do nothing wrong. They walk in his ways.

⁴You have commanded your precepts, that we should fully obey them.

⁵Oh that my ways were steadfast to obey your statutes!

⁶Then I wouldn't be disappointed, when I consider all of your commandments.

⁷I will give thanks to you with uprightness of heart, when I learn your righteous judgments.

⁸I will observe your statutes. Don't utterly forsake me.

⁹[BET] How can a young man keep his way pure? By living according to your word.

¹⁰With my whole heart, I have sought you. Don't let me wander from your commandments.

¹¹I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you.

¹²Blessed are you, ForeverOne. Teach me your statutes.

¹³With my lips, I have declared all the ordinances of your mouth.

¹⁴I have rejoiced in the way of your testimonies, as much as in all riches.

¹⁵I will meditate on your precepts, and consider your ways.

¹⁶I will delight myself in your statutes. I will not forget your word.

¹⁷[GIMEL] Do good to your servant. I will live and I will obey your word.

¹⁸Open my eyes, that I may see wondrous things out of your law.

¹⁹I am a stranger on the earth. Don't hide your commandments from me.

²⁰My soul is consumed with longing for your ordinances at all times.

²¹You have rebuked the proud who are cursed, who wander from your commandments.

²²Take reproach and contempt away from me, for I have kept your statutes.

²³Though princes sit and slander me, your servant will meditate on your statutes.

²⁴Indeed your statutes are my delight, and my counselors.

²⁵[DALET] My soul is laid low in the dust. Revive me according to your word!

²⁶I declared my ways, and you answered me. Teach me your statutes.

²⁷Let me understand the teaching of your precepts! Then I will meditate on your wondrous works.

²⁸My soul is weary with sorrow: strengthen me according to your word.

²⁹Keep me from the way of deceit. Grant me your law graciously!

³⁰I have chosen the way of truth. I have set your ordinances before me.

³¹I cling to your statutes, ForeverOne. Don't let me be disappointed.

³²I run in the path of your commandments, for you have set my heart free.

³³[HEH] Teach me, ForeverOne, the way of your statutes. I will keep them to the end.

³⁴Give me understanding, and I will keep your law. Yes, I will obey it with my whole heart.

³⁵Direct me in the path of your commandments, for I delight in them.

³⁶Turn my heart toward your statutes, not toward selfish gain.

³⁷Turn my eyes away from looking at worthless things. Revive me in your ways.

³⁸Fulfill your promise to your servant, that you may be feared.

³⁹Take away my disgrace that I dread, for your ordinances are good.

⁴⁰Behold, I long for your precepts! Revive me in your righteousness.

Galatians Chapter 1

¹Paul, an apostle- not from people, nor through a human, but through Jesus AnointedOne, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead- ²and all the brothers who are with me, to the assemblies of Galatia: ³Grace to you and peace from God the Father and our Lord Jesus AnointedOne, ⁴who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us out of this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father- ⁵to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.

⁶I marvel that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of AnointedOne to a different "good news", ⁷but there isn't another "good news." Only there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the Good News of AnointedOne.

⁸But even though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you any "good news" other than what we preached to you, let them be cursed.

⁹As we have said before, so we now affirm again: if anyone preaches to you any "good news" other than what you received, let them be cursed.

¹⁰For am I now seeking the favor of people, or of God? Or am I striving to please people? For if I were still pleasing people, I wouldn't be a servant of AnointedOne.

¹¹But I make known to you, brothers, concerning the Good News which was preached by me, that it is not according to mankind.

¹²For I didn't receive it from a human, nor was I taught it, but it came to me through revelation of Jesus AnointedOne.

¹³For you have heard of my way of living in time past in the Jews' religion, how beyond measure I persecuted the assembly of God and ravaged it.

¹⁴I advanced in the Jews' religion beyond many of my own age among my countrymen, being more exceedingly zealous for the traditions of my fathers.

¹⁵But when it was the good pleasure of God, who separated me from my mother's womb and called me through his grace ¹⁶to reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the Gentiles, I didn't immediately confer with flesh and blood, ¹⁷nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me, but I went away into Arabia. Then I returned to Damascus.

¹⁸Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to visit Peter, and stayed with him fifteen days.

¹⁹But of the other apostles I saw no one except James, the Lord's brother.

²⁰Now about the things which I write to you, behold, before God, I'm not lying.

²¹Then I came to the regions of Syria and Cilicia.

²²I was still unknown by face to the assemblies of Judea which were in AnointedOne, ²³but they only heard, "He who once persecuted us now preaches the faith that he once tried to destroy." ²⁴So they glorified God in me.
