Exodus Chapter 31

¹ForeverOne spoke to Moses, saying, ²"Behold, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah: ³and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, and in understanding, and in knowledge, and in all kinds of workmanship, ⁴to devise skillful works, to work in gold, and in silver, and in brass, ⁵and in cutting of stones for setting, and in carving of wood, to work in all kinds of workmanship.

⁶I, behold, I have appointed with him Oholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan; and in the heart of all who are wise-hearted I have put wisdom, that they may make all that I have commanded you: ⁷the Tent of Meeting, the ark of the testimony, the mercy seat that is on it, all the furniture of the Tent, ⁸the table and its vessels, the pure lampstand with all its vessels, the altar of incense, ⁹the altar of burnt offering with all its vessels, the basin and its base, ¹⁰the finely worked garments - the holy garments for Aaron the priest - the garments of his sons to minister in the priest's office, ¹¹the anointing oil, and the incense of sweet spices for the holy place: according to all that I have commanded you they shall do." ¹²ForeverOne spoke to Moses, saying, ¹³"Speak also to the children of Israel, saying, 'Most certainly you shall keep my Sabbaths: for it is a sign between me and you throughout your generations; that you may know that I am ForeverOne who sanctifies you.

¹⁴You shall keep the Sabbath therefore; for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work then, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

¹⁵Six days shall work be done, but on the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, holy to ForeverOne. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day shall surely be put to death.

¹⁶Therefore the children of Israel shall keep the Sabbath, to observe the Sabbath throughout their generations, for a perpetual covenant.

¹⁷It is a sign between me and the children of Israel forever; for in six days ForeverOne made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.'" ¹⁸He gave to Moses, when he finished speaking with him on Mount Sinai, the two tablets of the testimony, stone tablets, written with God's finger.

2 Kings Chapter 4

³²When Elisha had entered the house, behold, the child was dead, and laid on his bed.

³³He went in therefore, and shut the door on them both, and prayed to ForeverOne.

³⁴He went up, and lay on the child, and put his mouth on his mouth, and his eyes on his eyes, and his hands on his hands. He stretched himself on him; and the flesh of the child grew warm.

³⁵Then he returned, and walked in the house once back and forth; and went up, and stretched himself on him. Then the child sneezed seven times, and the child opened his eyes.

³⁶He called Gehazi, and said, "Call this Shunammite!" So he called her. When she had come in to him, he said, "Take up your son." ³⁷Then she went in, and fell at his feet, and bowed herself to the ground; and she took up her son, and went out.

³⁸Elisha came again to Gilgal. There was a famine in the land; and the sons of the prophets were sitting before him; and he said to his servant, "Set on the great pot, and boil stew for the sons of the prophets." ³⁹One went out into the field to gather herbs, and found a wild vine, and gathered of it wild gourds his lap full, and came and shred them into the pot of stew; for they didn't recognize them.

⁴⁰So they poured out for the men to eat. As they were eating of the stew they cried out and said, "Man of God, there is death in the pot!" They could not eat of it.

⁴¹But he said, "Then bring meal." He threw it into the pot; and he said, "Pour out for the people, that they may eat." There was no harm in the pot.

⁴²A man from Baal Shalishah came, and brought the man of God bread of the first fruits, twenty loaves of barley, and fresh ears of grain in his sack. He said, "Give to the people, that they may eat." ⁴³His servant said, "What, should I set this before a hundred men?" But he said, "Give the people, that they may eat; for thus says ForeverOne, 'They will eat, and will have some left over.'" ⁴⁴So he set it before them, and they ate, and left some of it, according to the word of ForeverOne.

2 Kings Chapter 5

¹Now Naaman, captain of the army of the king of Syria, was a great man with his master, and honorable, because by him ForeverOne had given victory to Syria: he was also a mighty man of valor, [but he was] a leper.

²The Syrians had gone out in bands, and had brought away captive out of the land of Israel a little maiden; and she waited on Naaman's wife.

³She said to her mistress, "I wish that my lord were with the prophet who is in Samaria! Then he would heal him of his leprosy." ⁴Someone went in, and told his lord, saying, "The maiden who is from the land of Israel said this." ⁵The king of Syria said, "Go now, and I will send a letter to the king of Israel." He departed, and took with him ten talents of silver, and six thousand pieces of gold, and ten changes of clothing.

⁶He brought the letter to the king of Israel, saying, "Now when this letter has come to you, behold, I have sent Naaman my servant to you, that you may heal him of his leprosy." ⁷When the king of Israel had read the letter, he tore his clothes and said, "Am I God, to kill and to make alive, that this man sends to me to heal a man of his leprosy? But please consider and see how he seeks a quarrel against me."

Esther Chapter 4

¹⁰Then Esther spoke to Hathach, and gave him a message to Mordecai: ¹¹"All the king's servants, and the people of the king's provinces, know, that whoever, whether man or woman, comes to the king into the inner court without being called, there is one law for him, that he be put to death, except those to whom the king might hold out the golden scepter, that he may live. I have not been called to come in to the king these thirty days." ¹²They told to Mordecai Esther's words.

¹³Then Mordecai asked them return answer to Esther, "Don't think to yourself that you will escape in the king's house any more than all the Jews.

¹⁴For if you remain silent now, then relief and deliverance will come to the Jews from another place, but you and your father's house will perish. Who knows if you haven't come to the kingdom for such a time as this?" ¹⁵Then Esther asked them to answer Mordecai, ¹⁶"Go, gather together all the Jews who are present in Shushan, and fast for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day. I and my maidens will also fast the same way. Then I will go in to the king, which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish." ¹⁷So Mordecai went his way, and did according to all that Esther had commanded him.

Esther Chapter 5

¹Now on the third day Esther put on her royal clothing, and stood in the inner court of the king's house, next to the king's house. The king sat on his royal throne in the royal house, next to the entrance of the house.

²When the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, she obtained favor in his sight; and the king held out to Esther the golden scepter that was in his hand. So Esther came near, and touched the top of the scepter.

³Then the king asked her, "What would you like, queen Esther? What is your request? It shall be given you even to the half of the kingdom." ⁴Esther said, "If it seems good to the king, let the king and Haman come today to the banquet that I have prepared for him." ⁵Then the king said, "Bring Haman quickly, so that it may be done as Esther has said." So the king and Haman came to the banquet that Esther had prepared.

⁶The king said to Esther at the banquet of wine, "What is your petition? It shall be granted you. What is your request? Even to the half of the kingdom it shall be performed." ⁷Then Esther answered and said, "My petition and my request is this.

⁸If I have found favor in the sight of the king, and if it please the king to grant my petition and to perform my request, let the king and Haman come to the banquet that I will prepare for them, and I will do tomorrow as the king has said."

John Chapter 8

¹[*but Jesus went to the Mount of Olives.] ²[*Now very early in the morning, he came again into the temple, and all the people came to him. He sat down and taught them.] ³[*The scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman taken in adultery. Having set her in the middle,] ⁴[*they told him, "Teacher, we found this woman in the very act adultery.] ⁵[*Now in our law, Moses commanded us to stone them. What then do you say?"] ⁶[*They said this testing him, that they might have something to accuse him of. But Jesus stooped down and wrote on the ground with his finger.] ⁷[*But when they continued asking him, he looked up and said to them, "He who is without sin among you, let him throw the first stone at her."] ⁸[*Again he stooped down and wrote on the ground with his finger.] ⁹[*They, when they heard it, being convicted by their conscience, went out one by one, beginning from the oldest, even to the last. Jesus was left alone with the woman where she was, in the middle.] ¹⁰[*Jesus, standing up, saw her and said, "Woman, where are your accusers? Did no one condemn you?"] ¹¹[*She said, "No one, Lord." Jesus said, "Neither do I condemn you. Go your way. From now on, sin no more."] ¹²So again, Jesus spoke to them, saying, "I am the light of the world. He who follows me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the light of life." ¹³So the Pharisees said to him, "You testify about yourself. Your testimony is not valid." ¹⁴Jesus answered them, "Even if I testify about myself, my testimony is true, for I know where I came from, and where I am going; but you don't know where I came from, or where I am going.

¹⁵You judge according to the flesh. I judge no one.

¹⁶Even if I do judge, my judgment is true, for I am not alone, but I am with the Father who sent me.

¹⁷It's also written in your law that the testimony of two people is valid.

¹⁸I am one who testifies about myself, and the Father who sent me testifies about me." ¹⁹They said therefore to him, "Where is your Father?" Jesus answered, "You know neither me nor my Father. If you knew me, you would know my Father also." ²⁰Jesus spoke these words in the treasury, as he taught in the temple. Yet no one arrested him, because his hour had not yet come.

²¹So Jesus again said to them, "I am going away, and you will seek me, and you will die in your sins. Where I go, you can't come." ²²The Jews therefore said, "Will he kill himself, because he says, 'Where I am going, you can't come'?" ²³He said to them, "You are from beneath. I am from above. You are of this world. I am not of this world.

²⁴I said therefore to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I am he, you will die in your sins."
