Numbers Chapter 20

14Moses sent messengers from Kadesh to the king of Edom, saying: "Thus says your brother Israel: You know all the travail that has happened to us: 15how our fathers went down into Egypt, and we lived in Egypt a long time; and the Egyptians dealt ill with us, and our fathers: 16and when we cried to ForeverOne, he heard our voice, and sent an angel, and brought us here out of Egypt: and behold, we are in Kadesh, a city in the uttermost of your border.

17"Please let us pass through your land: we will not pass through field or through vineyard, neither will we drink of the water of the wells: we will go along the king's highway; we will not turn aside to the right hand nor to the left, until we have passed your border." 18Edom said to him, "You won't pass through me, [if you try] I'll come out with the sword against you." 19The children of Israel said to him, "We will go up by the highway; and if we drink of your water, I and my livestock, then will I give its price: let me only, without [doing] anything [else], pass through on my feet." 20He said, "You won't pass through." Edom came out against him with many people, and with a strong hand.

21Thus Edom refused to give Israel passage through his border, so Israel turned away from him.

22They traveled from Kadesh: and the children of Israel, even the whole congregation, came to Mount Hor.

23ForeverOne spoke to Moses and Aaron in Mount Hor, by the border of the land of Edom, saying, 24"Aaron shall be gathered to his people; for he shall not enter into the land which I have given to the children of Israel, because you rebelled against my word at the waters of Meribah.

25Take Aaron and Eleazar his son, and bring them up to Mount Hor; 26and strip Aaron of his garments, and put them on Eleazar his son: and Aaron shall be gathered [to his people], and shall die there." 27Moses did as ForeverOne commanded: and they went up into Mount Hor in the sight of all the congregation.

28Moses stripped Aaron of his garments, and put them on Eleazar his son; and Aaron died there on the top of the mountain: and Moses and Eleazar came down from the mountain.

29When all the congregation saw that Aaron was dead, they wept for Aaron thirty days, even all the house of Israel.

Jeremiah 49:7-27

Jeremiah Chapter 49

7Of Edom. Thus says ForeverOne of Armies: Is wisdom no more in Teman? is counsel perished from the prudent? is their wisdom vanished?

8Flee, turn back, dwell in the depths, inhabitants of Dedan; for I will bring the calamity of Esau on him, the time that I shall visit him.

9If grape gatherers came to you, would they not leave some gleaning grapes? if thieves by night, wouldn't they destroy until they had enough?

10But I have made Esau bare, I have uncovered his secret places, and he shall not be able to hide himself: his offspring is destroyed, and his brothers, and his neighbors; and he is no more.

11Leave your fatherless children, I will preserve them alive; and let your widows trust in me.

12For thus says ForeverOne: Behold, they to whom it didn't pertain to drink of the cup shall certainly drink; and are you he who shall altogether go unpunished? You shall not go unpunished, but you shall surely drink.

13For I have sworn by myself, says ForeverOne, that Bozrah shall become an astonishment, a reproach, a waste, and a curse; and all its cities shall be perpetual wastes.

14I have heard news from ForeverOne, and an ambassador is sent among the nations, [saying], Gather yourselves together, and come against her, and rise up to the battle.

15For, behold, I have made you small among the nations, and despised among men.

16As for your terror, the pride of your heart has deceived you, O you who dwell in the clefts of the rock, who hold the height of the hill: though you should make your nest as high as the eagle, I will bring you down from there, says ForeverOne.

17Edom shall become an astonishment: everyone who passes by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss at all its plagues.

18As in the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah and the neighbor cities of it, says ForeverOne, no man shall dwell there, neither shall any son of man live in it.

19Behold, he shall come up like a lion from the pride of the Jordan against the strong habitation: for I will suddenly make them run away from it; and whoever is chosen, him will I appoint over it: for who is like me? and who will appoint me a time? and who is the shepherd who will stand before me?

20Therefore hear the counsel of ForeverOne, that he has taken against Edom; and his purposes, that he has purposed against the inhabitants of Teman: Surely they shall drag them away, [even] the little ones of the flock; surely he shall make their habitation desolate over them.

21The earth trembles at the noise of their fall; there is a cry, the noise which is heard in the Red Sea.

22Behold, he shall come up and fly as the eagle, and spread out his wings against Bozrah: and the heart of the mighty men of Edom at that day shall be as the heart of a woman in her pangs.

23Of Damascus. Hamath is confounded, and Arpad; for they have heard evil news, they are melted away: there is sorrow on the sea; it can't be quiet.

24Damascus has grown feeble, she turns herself to flee, and trembling has seized on her: anguish and sorrows have taken hold of her, as of a woman in travail.

25How is the city of praise not forsaken, the city of my joy?

26Therefore her young men shall fall in her streets, and all the men of war shall be brought to silence in that day, says ForeverOne of Armies.

27I will kindle a fire in the wall of Damascus, and it shall devour the palaces of Ben Hadad.

Section 3

Psalm 116-117

21 verses

Psalm 116

1I love ForeverOne, because he listens to my voice, and my cries for mercy.

2Because he has turned his ear to me, therefore I will call on him as long as I live.

3The cords of death surrounded me, the pains of Sheol got a hold of me. I found trouble and sorrow.

4Then I called on the name of ForeverOne: "ForeverOne, I beg you, deliver my soul." 5ForeverOne is Gracious and righteous. Yes, our God is merciful.

6ForeverOne preserves the simple. I was brought low, and he saved me.

7Return to your rest, my soul, for ForeverOne has dealt bountifully with you.

8For you have delivered my soul from death, my eyes from tears, and my feet from falling.

9I will walk before ForeverOne in the land of the living.

10I believed, therefore I said, "I was greatly afflicted." 11I said in my haste, "All men are liars." 12What will I give to ForeverOne for all his benefits toward me?

13I will take the cup of salvation, and call on the name of ForeverOne.

14I will pay my vows to ForeverOne, yes, in the presence of all his people.

15Precious in the sight of ForeverOne is the death of his saints.

16ForeverOne, truly I am your servant. I am your servant, the son of your handmaid. You have freed me from my chains.

17I will offer to you the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call on the name of ForeverOne.

18I will pay my vows to ForeverOne, yes, in the presence of all his people, 19in the courts of ForeverOne's house, in the midst of you, Jerusalem. Praise EverOne!

Psalm 117

1Praise ForeverOne, all you nations! Extol him, all you peoples!

2For his loving kindness is great toward us. ForeverOne's faithfulness endures forever. Praise EverOne!

Section 4

2 Corinthians 11:30-12:15

19 verses

2 Corinthians Chapter 11

30If I must boast, I will boast of the things that concern my weakness.

31The God and Father of the Lord Jesus AnointedOne, he who is blessed for evermore, knows that I don't lie.

32In Damascus the governor under King Aretas guarded the Damascenes' city, desiring to arrest me.

33I was let down in a basket through a window by the wall, and escaped his hands.

2 Corinthians Chapter 12

1It is doubtless not profitable for me to boast. For I will come to visions and revelations of the Lord.

2I know a man in the AnointedOne who, fourteen years ago, was caught up into the third heaven (whether in the body or out of the body, I don't know; God knows).

3I know such a man (whether in the body, or outside of the body, I don't know; God knows), 4how he was caught up into Paradise, and heard unspeakable words, which it is not lawful for a man to utter.

5On behalf of such a one I will boast, but on my own behalf I will not boast, except in my weaknesses.

6For if I would desire to boast, I will not be foolish; for I will speak the truth. But I refrain, so that no man may think more of me than what he sees in me or hears from me.

7By reason of the exceeding greatness of the revelations, that I should not be exalted excessively, a thorn in the flesh was given to me: a messenger of Satan to torment me, that I should not be exalted excessively.

8Concerning this thing, I begged the Lord three times that it might depart from me.

9He has said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." So I will rather glory in my weaknesses most gladly, that the power of the AnointedOne may rest on me.

10So I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, and in distresses, for AnointedOne's sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong.

11I have become foolish in boasting. You compelled me, for I ought to have been commended by you, for I am in no way inferior to the very best apostles, though I am nothing.

12Truly the signs of an apostle were worked among you in all perseverance, in signs and wonders and mighty acts.

13For what is there in which you were made inferior to the rest of the assemblies, unless it is that I myself was not a burden to you? Forgive me this wrong.

14Behold, this is the third time I am ready to come to you, and I will not be a burden to you; for I seek not your possessions, but you. For the children ought not to save up for the parents, but the parents for the children.

15I will most gladly spend and be spent for your souls. If I love you more abundantly, am I loved the less?
