Leviticus Chapter 21

¹ForeverOne said to Moses, "Speak to the priests, the sons of Aaron, and say to them, 'A priest shall not defile himself for the dead among his people; ²except for his relatives that are near to him: for his mother, for his father, for his son, for his daughter, for his brother, ³and for his virgin sister who is near to him, who has had no husband; for her he may defile himself.

⁴He shall not defile himself, being a husband among his people, to profane himself.

⁵"'They shall not shave their heads, neither shall they shave off the corners of their beards, nor make any cuttings in their flesh.

⁶They shall be holy to their God, and not profane the name of their God; for they offer the offerings of ForeverOne made by fire, the bread of their God; therefore they shall be holy.

⁷"'They shall not marry a woman who is a prostitute, or profane; neither shall they marry a woman divorced from her husband: for he is holy to his God.

⁸You shall sanctify him therefore; for he offers the bread of your God: he shall be holy to you: for I ForeverOne, who sanctify you, am holy.

⁹"'The daughter of any priest, if she profanes herself by playing the prostitute, she profanes her father: she shall be burned with fire.

¹⁰"'He who is the high priest among his brothers, upon whose head the anointing oil is poured, and that is consecrated to put on the garments, shall not let the hair of his head hang loose, nor tear his clothes.

¹¹He must not go in to any dead body, nor defile himself for his father, or for his mother.

¹²He must not go out of the sanctuary, nor profane the sanctuary of his God; for the crown of the anointing oil of his God is upon him. I am ForeverOne.

¹³"'He shall get a wife in her virginity.

¹⁴A widow, or one divorced, or a woman who has been defiled, or a prostitute, these he shall not marry: but he shall take a virgin of his own people as a wife.

¹⁵He shall not profane his offspring among his people: for I am ForeverOne who sanctifies him.'"

Isaiah Chapter 46

¹²Listen to me, you stout-hearted, who are far from righteousness: ¹³I bring near my righteousness, it shall not be far off, and my salvation shall not wait; and I will place salvation in Zion for Israel my glory.

Isaiah Chapter 47

¹"Come down, and sit in the dust, virgin daughter of Babylon; sit on the ground without a throne, daughter of the Chaldeans: for you shall no more be called tender and delicate.

²Take the millstones, and grind meal; remove your veil, strip off the train, uncover the leg, pass through the rivers.

³Your nakedness shall be uncovered, yes, your shame shall be seen: I will take vengeance, and will spare no man." ⁴Our Redeemer, ForeverOne of Armies is his name, the Holy One of Israel.

⁵"Sit in silence, and go into darkness, daughter of the Chaldeans; for you shall no more be called the mistress of kingdoms.

⁶I was angry with my people, I profaned my inheritance, and gave them into your hand: you showed them no mercy; on the aged you have very heavily laid your yoke.

⁷You said, 'I will be a princess forever', so that you did not lay these things to your heart, nor did you remember the results.

⁸"Now therefore hear this, you who are given to pleasures, who sit securely, who say in your heart, I am, and there is none else besides me; I shall not sit as a widow, neither shall I know the loss of children: ⁹but these two things shall come to you in a moment in one day, the loss of children, and widowhood; in their full measure shall they come on you, in the multitude of your sorceries, and the great abundance of your enchantments.

¹⁰For you have trusted in your wickedness; you have said, No one sees me; your wisdom and your knowledge, it has perverted you, and you have said in your heart, I am, and there is none else besides me.

¹¹Therefore evil will come on you; you won't know when it dawns: and mischief will fall on you; you will not be able to put it away: and desolation shall come on you suddenly, which you don't know.

¹²"Stand now with your enchantments, and with the multitude of your sorceries, in which you have labored from your youth; if so be you shall be able to profit, if so be you may prevail.

¹³You are wearied in the multitude of your counsels: let now the astrologers, the stargazers, the monthly prognosticators, stand up, and save you from the things that shall come on you.

¹⁴Behold, they shall be as stubble; the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame: it shall not be a coal to warm at, nor a fire to sit before.

¹⁵Thus shall the things be to you in which you have labored: those who have trafficked with you from your youth shall wander everyone to his quarter; there shall be none to save you.

Isaiah Chapter 48

¹"Hear this, house of Jacob, you who are called by the name of Israel, and have come forth out of the waters of Judah; who swear by the name of ForeverOne, and make mention of the God of Israel, but not in truth, nor in righteousness ²(for they call themselves of the holy city, and stay themselves on the God of Israel; ForeverOne of Armies is his name): ³I have declared the former things from of old; yes, they went forth out of my mouth, and I showed them: suddenly I did them, and they happened.

⁴Because I knew that you are obstinate, and your neck is an iron sinew, and your brow brass; ⁵therefore I have declared it to you from of old; before it came to pass I showed it to you; lest you should say, 'My idol has done them, and my engraved image, and my molten image, has commanded them.' ⁶You have heard it; see all this; and you, will you not declare it? "I have shown you new things from this time, even hidden things, which you have not known.

⁷They are created now, and not from of old; and before today you didn't hear them; lest you should say, 'Behold, I knew them.' ⁸Yes, you didn't hear; yes, you didn't know; yes, from of old your ear was not opened: for I knew that you dealt very treacherously, and was called a transgressor from the womb.

Psalm 26

¹Judge me, ForeverOne, for I have walked in my integrity. I have trusted also in ForeverOne without wavering.

²Examine me, ForeverOne, and prove me. Try my heart and my mind.

³For your loving kindness is before my eyes. I have walked in your truth.

⁴I have not sat with deceitful men, neither will I go in with hypocrites.

⁵I hate the assembly of evildoers, and will not sit with the wicked.

⁶I will wash my hands in innocence, so I will go about your altar, ForeverOne; ⁷that I may make the voice of thanksgiving to be heard, and tell of all your wondrous works.

⁸ForeverOne, I love the habitation of your house, the place where your glory dwells.

⁹Don't gather my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloodthirsty men; ¹⁰in whose hands is wickedness, their right hand is full of bribes.

¹¹But as for me, I will walk in my integrity. Redeem me, and be merciful to me.

¹²My foot stands in an even place. In the congregations I will bless ForeverOne.

Psalm 27

¹ForeverOne is my light and my salvation. Whom shall I fear? ForeverOne is the strength of my life. Of whom shall I be afraid?

²When evildoers came at me to eat up my flesh, even my adversaries and my foes, they stumbled and fell.

³Though an army should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear. Though war should rise against me, even then I will be confident.

⁴One thing I have asked of ForeverOne, that I will seek after, that I may dwell in the house of ForeverOne all the days of my life, to see ForeverOne's beauty, and to inquire in his temple.

⁵For in the day of trouble he will keep me secretly in his pavilion. In the covert of his tabernacle he will hide me. He will lift me up on a rock.

⁶Now my head will be lifted up above my enemies around me. I will offer sacrifices of joy in his tent. I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to ForeverOne.

⁷Hear, ForeverOne, when I cry with my voice. Have mercy also on me, and answer me.

⁸When you said, "Seek my face," my heart said to you, "I will seek your face, ForeverOne." ⁹Don't hide your face from me. Don't put your servant away in anger. You have been my help. Don't abandon me, neither forsake me, God of my salvation.

¹⁰When my father and my mother forsake me, then ForeverOne will take me up.

¹¹Teach me your way, ForeverOne. Lead me in a straight path, because of my enemies.

¹²Don't deliver me over to the desire of my adversaries, for false witnesses have risen up against me, those who breathe out cruelty.

¹³I am still confident of this: I will see the goodness of ForeverOne in the land of the living.

¹⁴Wait for ForeverOne. Be strong, and let your heart take courage. Yes, wait for ForeverOne.

Acts Chapter 20

³³I coveted no one's silver, gold, or clothing.

³⁴You yourselves know that these hands served my necessities, and those who were with me.

³⁵In all things I gave you an example, that so laboring you ought to help the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that he himself said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'" ³⁶When he had spoken these things, he knelt down and prayed with them all.

³⁷They all wept freely, and fell on Paul's neck and kissed him, ³⁸sorrowing most of all because of the word which he had spoken, that they should see his face no more. Then they accompanied him to the ship.

Acts Chapter 21

¹When we had departed from them and had set sail, we came with a straight course to Cos, and the next day to Rhodes, and from there to Patara.

²Having found a ship crossing over to Phoenicia, we went aboard, and set sail.

³When we had come in sight of Cyprus, leaving it on the left hand, we sailed to Syria and landed at Tyre, for the ship was there to unload her cargo.

⁴Having found disciples, we stayed there seven days. These said to Paul through the Spirit that he should not go up to Jerusalem.

⁵When those days were over, we departed and went on our journey. They all, with wives and children, brought us on our way until we were out of the city. Kneeling down on the beach, we prayed.

⁶After saying goodbye to each other, we went on board the ship, and they returned home again.

⁷When we had finished the voyage from Tyre, we arrived at Ptolemais. We greeted the brothers and stayed with them one day.

⁸On the next day, we who were Paul's companions departed, and came to Caesarea. We entered into the house of Philip the evangelist, who was one of the seven, and stayed with him.

⁹Now this man had four virgin daughters who prophesied.

¹⁰As we stayed there some days, a certain prophet named Agabus came down from Judea.

¹¹Coming to us and taking Paul's belt, he bound his own feet and hands, and said, "The Holy Spirit says: 'So the Jews at Jerusalem will bind the man who owns this belt, and will deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.'" ¹²When we heard these things, both we and the people of that place begged him not to go up to Jerusalem.

¹³Then Paul answered, "What are you doing, weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but also to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus." ¹⁴When he would not be persuaded, we ceased, saying, "The Lord's will be done."
