Leviticus 6:24-7:10

17 verses

Leviticus Chapter 6

24ForeverOne spoke to Moses, saying, 25"Speak to Aaron and to his sons, saying, 'This is the law of the sin offering: in the place where the burnt offering is killed, the sin offering shall be killed before ForeverOne. It is most holy.

26The priest who offers it for sin shall eat it. It shall be eaten in a holy place, in the court of the Tent of Meeting.

27Whatever shall touch its flesh shall be holy. When there is any of its blood sprinkled on a garment, you shall wash that on which it was sprinkled in a holy place.

28But the earthen vessel in which it is boiled shall be broken; and if it is boiled in a bronze vessel, it shall be scoured, and rinsed in water.

29Every male among the priests shall eat of it: it is most holy.

30No sin offering, of which any of the blood is brought into the Tent of Meeting to make atonement in the Holy Place, shall be eaten: it shall be burned with fire.

Leviticus Chapter 7

1"'This is the law of the trespass offering. It is most holy.

2In the place where they kill the burnt offering, he shall kill the trespass offering; and its blood he shall sprinkle around on the altar.

3He shall offer all of its fat: the fat tail, and the fat that covers the innards, 4and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the loins, and the cover on the liver, with the kidneys, he should take away; 5and the priest shall burn them on the altar for an offering made by fire to ForeverOne: it is a trespass offering.

6Every male among the priests may eat of it. It shall be eaten in a holy place. It is most holy.

7"'As is the sin offering, so is the trespass offering; there is one law for them. The priest who makes atonement with them shall have it.

8The priest who offers any man's burnt offering, even the priest shall have for himself the skin of the burnt offering which he has offered.

9Every meal offering that is baked in the oven, and all that is dressed in the pan, and on the griddle, shall be the priest's who offers it.

10Every meal offering, mixed with oil or dry, belongs to all the sons of Aaron, one as well as another.

Isaiah 5:7-6:4

28 verses

Isaiah Chapter 5

7For the vineyard of ForeverOne of Armies is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah his pleasant plant: and he looked for justice, but, behold, oppression; for righteousness, but, behold, a cry of distress.

8Woe to those who join house to house, who lay field to field, until there is no room, and you are made to dwell alone in the midst of the land!

9In my ears, ForeverOne of Armies says: "Surely many houses will be desolate, even great and beautiful, unoccupied.

10For ten acres of vineyard shall yield one bath, and a homer of seed shall yield an ephah." 11Woe to those who rise up early in the morning, that they may follow strong drink; who stay late into the night, until wine inflames them!

12The harp, lyre, tambourine, and flute, with wine, are at their feasts; but they don't respect the work of ForeverOne, neither have they considered the operation of his hands.

13Therefore my people go into captivity for lack of knowledge. Their honorable men are famished, and their multitudes are parched with thirst.

14Therefore Sheol has enlarged its desire, and opened its mouth without measure; and their glory, their multitude, their pomp, and he who rejoices among them, descend into it.

15So man is brought low, mankind is humbled, and the eyes of the arrogant ones are humbled; 16but ForeverOne of Armies is exalted in justice, and God the Holy One is sanctified in righteousness.

17Then the lambs will graze as in their pasture, and strangers will eat the ruins of the rich.

18Woe to those who draw iniquity with cords of falsehood, and wickedness as with cart rope; 19Who say, "Let him make speed, let him hasten his work, that we may see it; and let the counsel of the Holy One of Israel draw near and come, that we may know it!" 20Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who put darkness for light, and light for darkness; who put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter!

21Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!

22Woe to those who are mighty to drink wine, and champions at mixing strong drink; 23who acquit the guilty for a bribe, but deny justice for the innocent!

24Therefore as the tongue of fire devours the stubble, and as the dry grass sinks down in the flame, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust; because they have rejected the law of ForeverOne of Armies, and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

25Therefore ForeverOne's anger burns against his people, and he has stretched out his hand against them, and has struck them. The mountains tremble, and their dead bodies are as refuse in the midst of the streets. For all this, his anger is not turned away, but his hand is still stretched out.

26He will lift up a banner to the nations from far, and he will whistle for them from the end of the earth. Behold, they will come speedily and swiftly.

27None shall be weary nor stumble among them; none shall slumber nor sleep; neither shall the belt of their waist be untied, nor the latchet of their shoes be broken: 28whose arrows are sharp, and all their bows bent. Their horses' hoofs will be like flint, and their wheels like a whirlwind.

29Their roaring will be like a lioness. They will roar like young lions. Yes, they shall roar, and seize their prey and carry it off, and there will be no one to deliver.

30They will roar against them in that day like the roaring of the sea. If one looks to the land behold, darkness and distress. The light is darkened in its clouds.

Isaiah Chapter 6

1In the year that king Uzziah died, I saw LordOfMine sitting on a throne, high and lifted up; and his train filled the temple.

2Above him stood the burningones. Each one had six wings. With two he covered his face. With two he covered his feet. With two he flew.

3One called to another, and said, "Holy, holy, holy, is ForeverOne of Armies! The whole earth is full of his glory!" 4The foundations of the thresholds shook at the voice of him who called, and the house was filled with smoke.

Section 3

Job 26:1-27:12

26 verses

Job Chapter 26

1Then Job answered, 2"How you have helped him who is without power! How you have saved the arm that has no strength!

3How you have counseled him who has no wisdom, and plentifully declared sound knowledge!

4To whom have you uttered words? Whose spirit came out from you?

5"Those who are deceased tremble, those beneath the waters and all that live in them.

6Sheol is naked before Him, and Abaddon has no covering.

7He stretches out the north over empty space, and hangs the earth on nothing.

8He binds up the waters in his thick clouds, and the cloud is not burst under them.

9He encloses the face of his throne, and spreads his cloud on it.

10He has described a boundary on the surface of the waters, and to the confines of light and darkness.

11The pillars of heaven tremble and are astonished at his rebuke.

12He stirs up the sea with his power, and by his understanding he strikes through Rahab.

13By his Spirit the heavens are cleared. His hand has pierced the swift serpent.

14Behold, these are but the outskirts of his ways. How small a whisper do we hear of him! But the thunder of his power who can understand?"

Job Chapter 27

1Job again took up his parable, and said, 2"As God lives, who has taken away my right, the Almighty, who has made my soul bitter.

3(For the length of my life is still in me, and the spirit of God is in my nostrils); 4surely my lips shall not speak unrighteousness, neither shall my tongue utter deceit.

5Far be it from me that I should justify you. Until I die I will not put away my integrity from me.

6I hold fast to my righteousness, and will not let it go. My heart shall not reproach me so long as I live.

7"Let my enemy be as the wicked. Let him who rises up against me be as the unrighteous.

8For what is the hope of the godless, when he is cut off, when God takes away his life?

9Will God hear his cry when trouble comes on him?

10Will he delight himself in the Almighty, and call on God at all times?

11I will teach you about the hand of God. I will not conceal what is with the Almighty.

12Behold, all of you have seen it yourselves; then why have you become altogether vain?

Section 4

Acts 4:11-31

21 verses

Acts Chapter 4

11He is 'the stone which was regarded as worthless by you, the builders, which has become the head of the corner.' 12There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given to mankind, by which we must be saved!" 13Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and had perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled. They recognized that they had been with Jesus.

14Seeing the man who was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.

15But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves, 16saying, "What shall we do to these men? Because indeed a notable miracle has been done through them, as can be plainly seen by all who dwell in Jerusalem, and we can't deny it.

17But so that this spreads no further among the people, let's threaten them, that from now on they don't speak to anyone in this name." 18They called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.

19But Peter and John answered them, "Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God, judge for yourselves, 20for we can't help telling the things which we saw and heard." 21When they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding no way to punish them, because of the people; for everyone glorified God for what was done.

22For the man on whom this miracle of healing was performed was more than forty years old.

23Being let go, they came to their own group and reported all that the chief priests and the elders had said to them.

24When they heard it, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, "O Lord, you are God, who made the heaven, the earth, the sea, and all that is in them; 25who by the mouth of your servant, David, said, 'Why do the nations rage, and the peoples plot a vain thing?

26The kings of the earth take a stand, and the rulers take council together, against ForeverOne, and against his AnointedOne.' 27"For truly, [in this city] both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered together against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed, 28to do whatever your hand and your council foreordained to happen.

29Now, Lord, look at their threats, and grant to your servants to speak your word with all boldness, 30while you stretch out your hand to heal; and that signs and wonders may be done through the name of your holy Servant Jesus." 31When they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were gathered together. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.
