Leviticus 6:8-23

Leviticus Chapter 6

8ForeverOne spoke to Moses, saying, 9"Command Aaron and his sons, saying, 'This is the law of the burnt offering: the burnt offering shall be on the hearth on the altar all night until the morning; and the fire of the altar shall be kept burning on it.

10The priest shall put on his linen garment, and he shall put on his linen breeches upon his body; and he shall remove the ashes from where the fire has consumed the burnt offering on the altar, and he shall put them beside the altar.

11He shall take off his garments, and put on other garments, and carry the ashes outside the camp to a clean place.

12The fire on the altar shall be kept burning on it, it shall not go out; and the priest shall burn wood on it every morning: and he shall lay the burnt offering in order upon it, and shall burn on it the fat of the peace offerings.

13Fire shall be kept burning on the altar continually; it shall not go out.

14"'This is the law of the meal offering: the sons of Aaron shall offer it before ForeverOne, before the altar.

15He shall take from there his handful of the fine flour of the meal offering, and of its oil, and all the frankincense which is on the meal offering, and shall burn it on the altar for a pleasant aroma, as its memorial, to ForeverOne.

16What is left of it Aaron and his sons shall eat. It shall be eaten without yeast in a holy place. They shall eat it in the court of the Tent of Meeting 17It shall not be baked with yeast. I have given it as their portion of my offerings made by fire. It is most holy, as the sin offering, and as the trespass offering.

18Every male among the children of Aaron shall eat of it, as their portion forever throughout your generations, from the offerings of ForeverOne made by fire. Whoever touches them shall be holy.'" 19ForeverOne spoke to Moses, saying, 20"This is the offering of Aaron and of his sons, which they shall offer to ForeverOne in the day when he is anointed: the tenth part of an ephah of fine flour for a meal offering perpetually, half of it in the morning, and half of it in the evening.

21It shall be made with oil in a griddle. When it is soaked, you shall bring it in. You shall offer the meal offering in baked pieces for a pleasant aroma to ForeverOne.

22The anointed priest that will be in his place from among his sons shall offer it. By a statute forever, it shall be wholly burned to ForeverOne.

23Every meal offering of a priest shall be wholly burned. It shall not be eaten."

Isaiah 3:12-5:6

27 verses

Isaiah Chapter 3

12As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. My people, those who lead you cause you to err, and destroy the way of your paths.

13ForeverOne stands up to contend, and stands to judge the peoples.

14ForeverOne will enter into judgment with the elders of his people, and their leaders: "It is you who have eaten up the vineyard. The spoil of the poor is in your houses.

15What do you mean that you crush my people, and grind the face of the poor?" says LordOfMine, ForeverOne of Armies.

16Moreover ForeverOne said, "Because the daughters of Zion are haughty, and walk with outstretched necks and flirting eyes, walking to trip as they go, jingling ornaments on their feet; 17therefore LordOfMine brings sores on the crown of the head of the women of Zion, and ForeverOne will make their scalps bald." 18In that day LordOfMine will take away the beauty of their anklets, the headbands, the crescent necklaces, 19the earrings, the bracelets, the veils, 20the headdresses, the ankle chains, the sashes, the perfume bottles, the charms, 21the signet rings, the nose rings, 22the fine robes, the capes, the cloaks, the purses, 23the hand mirrors, the fine linen garments, the tiaras, and the shawls.

24Instead of sweet spices, there shall be rottenness; instead of a belt, a rope; instead of well set hair, baldness; instead of a robe, a wearing of sackcloth; and branding instead of beauty.

25Your men shall fall by the sword, and your mighty in the war.

26Her gates shall lament and mourn; and she shall be desolate and sit on the ground.

Isaiah Chapter 4

1Seven women shall take hold of one man in that day, saying, "We will eat our own bread, and wear our own clothing: only let us be called by your name. Take away our reproach." 2In that day, ForeverOne's branch will be beautiful and glorious, and the fruit of the land will be the beauty and glory of the survivors of Israel.

3That he who is left in Zion, and he who remains in Jerusalem, shall be called holy, even everyone who is written among the living in Jerusalem; 4when LordOfMine shall have washed away the filth of the daughters of Zion, and shall have purged the blood of Jerusalem from its midst, by the spirit of justice, and by the spirit of burning.

5ForeverOne will create over the whole habitation of Mount Zion, and over her assemblies, a cloud and smoke by day, and the shining of a flaming fire by night; for over all the glory will be a canopy.

6There will be a pavilion for a shade in the daytime from the heat, and for a refuge and for a shelter from storm and from rain.

Isaiah Chapter 5

1Let me sing for my well beloved a song of my beloved about his vineyard. My beloved had a vineyard on a very fruitful hill.

2He dug it up, gathered out its stones, planted it with the choicest vine, built a tower in its midst, and also cut out a winepress there. He looked for it to yield grapes, but it yielded wild grapes.

3"Now, inhabitants of Jerusalem and men of Judah, please judge between me and my vineyard.

4What could have been done more to my vineyard, that I have not done in it? Why, when I looked for it to yield grapes, did it yield wild grapes?

5Now I will tell you what I will do to my vineyard. I will take away its hedge, and it will be eaten up. I will break down its wall of it, and it will be trampled down.

6I will lay it a wasteland. It won't be pruned nor hoed, but it will grow briers and thorns. I will also command the clouds that they rain no rain on it."

Section 3

Job 24:9-25:6

23 verses

Job Chapter 24

9There are those who pluck the fatherless from the breast, and take a pledge of the poor, 10So that they go around naked without clothing. Being hungry, they carry the sheaves.

11They make oil within the walls of these men. They tread wine presses, and suffer thirst.

12From out of the populous city, men groan. The soul of the wounded cries out, yet God doesn't regard the folly.

13"These are of those who rebel against the light. They don't know its ways, nor stay in its paths.

14The murderer rises with the light. He kills the poor and needy. In the night he is like a thief.

15The eye also of the adulterer waits for the twilight, saying, 'No eye shall see me.' He disguises his face.

16In the dark they dig through houses. They shut themselves up in the daytime. They don't know the light.

17For the morning is to all of them like thick darkness, for they know the terrors of the thick darkness.

18"They are foam on the surface of the waters. Their portion is cursed in the earth. They don't turn into the way of the vineyards.

19Drought and heat consume the snow waters, so does Sheol those who have sinned.

20The womb shall forget him. The worm shall feed sweetly on him. He shall be no more remembered. Unrighteousness shall be broken as a tree.

21He devours the barren who don't bear. He shows no kindness to the widow.

22Yet He preserves the mighty by his power. He rises up who has no assurance of life.

23He gives them security, and they rest in it. His eyes are on their ways.

24They are exalted; yet a little while, and they are gone. Yes, they are brought low, they are taken out of the way as all others, and are cut off as the tops of the ears of grain.

25If it isn't so now, who will prove me a liar, and make my speech worth nothing?"

Job Chapter 25

1Then Bildad the Shuhite answered, 2"Dominion and fear are with him. He makes peace in his high places.

3Can his armies be counted? On whom does his light not arise?

4Then how can man be just with God? Or how can he who is born of a woman be clean?

5Behold, even the moon has no brightness, and the stars are not pure in his sight; 6How much less man, who is a worm, the son of man, who is a worm!"

Section 4

Acts 3:12-4:10

25 verses

Acts Chapter 3

12When Peter saw it, he responded to the people, "You men of Israel, why do you marvel at this man? Why do you fasten your eyes on us, as though by our own power or godliness we had made him walk?

13The God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his Servant Jesus, whom you delivered up, and denied in the presence of Pilate, when he had determined to release him.

14But you denied the Holy and Righteous One and asked for a murderer to be granted to you, 15and killed the Prince of life, whom God raised from the dead, to which we are witnesses.

16By faith in his name, his name has made this man strong, whom you see and know. Yes, the faith which is through him has given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all.

17"Now, brothers, I know that you did this in ignorance, as your rulers also did.

18But the things which God announced by the mouth of all his prophets, that the AnointedOne should suffer, he thus fulfilled.

19"So repent and turn again, that your sins may be blotted out, so that there may come times of refreshing from the presence of ForeverOne, 20and that he may send AnointedOne Jesus, who was ordained for you before, 21whom heaven must receive until the times of restoration of all things, which God spoke long ago by the mouth of his holy prophets.

22For Moses indeed said to the fathers, 'ForeverOne God will raise up a prophet for you from among your brothers, like me. You shall listen to him in all things whatever he says to you.

23It will be that every soul that will not listen to that prophet will be utterly destroyed from among the people.' 24Yes, and all the prophets from Samuel and those who followed after, as many as have spoken, they also told of these days.

25You are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying to Abraham, 'All the families of the earth will be blessed through your offspring.' 26God, having raised up his servant Jesus, sent him to you first to bless you, in turning away every one of you from your wickedness."

Acts Chapter 4

1As they spoke to the people, the priests and the captain of the temple and the Sadducees came to them, 2being upset because they taught the people and proclaimed in Jesus the resurrection from the dead.

3They laid hands on them, and put them in custody until the next day, for it was now evening.

4But many of those who heard the word believed, and the number of the men came to be about five thousand.

5In the morning their rulers, elders, and scribes were gathered together in Jerusalem.

6Annas the high priest was there, with Caiaphas, John, Alexander, and as many as were relatives of the high priest.

7When they had stood them in the middle of them, they inquired, "By what power, or in what name, have you done this?" 8Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, "You rulers of the people, and elders of Israel, 9if we are examined today concerning a good deed done to a crippled man, by what means this man has been healed, 10may it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus AnointedOne of Nazareth, whom you crucified and God raised from the dead, by him does this man stand before you whole.
