Leviticus Chapter 19

¹⁹"'You shall keep my statutes. "'Don't crossbreed different kinds of animals. "'Don't sow your field with two kinds of seed; "'nor shall there come upon on you a garment made of two kinds of material.

²⁰"'If a man lies carnally with a woman who is a slave girl, pledged to be married to another man, and not ransomed, or given her freedom; they shall be punished. They shall not be put to death, because she was not free.

²¹He shall bring his trespass offering to ForeverOne, to the door of the Tent of Meeting, even a ram for a trespass offering.

²²The priest shall make atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering before ForeverOne for his sin which he has committed: and the sin which he has committed shall be forgiven him.

²³"'When you enter the land, and have planted all kinds of trees for food, then you shall count their fruit as forbidden. Three years shall they be forbidden to you. It shall not be eaten.

²⁴But in the fourth year all its fruit shall be holy, for giving praise to ForeverOne.

²⁵In the fifth year you shall eat its fruit, that it may yield its increase to you. I am ForeverOne your God.

²⁶"'Don't eat any meat with the blood still in it; neither shall you use enchantments, nor practice sorcery.

²⁷"'Don't cut the hair on the sides of your heads, neither shall you clip off the edge of your beard.

²⁸"'Don't make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor tattoo any marks on you. I am ForeverOne.

²⁹"'Don't profane your daughter, to make her a prostitute; lest the land fall to prostitution, and the land become full of wickedness.

³⁰"'You shall keep my Sabbaths, and reverence my sanctuary; I am ForeverOne.

³¹"'Don't turn to those who are mediums, nor to the wizards. Don't seek them out, to be defiled by them. I am ForeverOne your God.

³²"'You shall rise up before the gray head, and honor the face of an old man, and you shall fear your God. I am ForeverOne.

³³"'If a stranger lives as a foreigner with you in your land, you mustn't do him wrong.

³⁴The stranger who lives as a foreigner with you shall be to you as the native-born among you, and you shall love him as yourself; for you lived as foreigners in the land of Egypt. I am ForeverOne your God.

³⁵"'You shall do no unrighteousness in judgment, in measures of length, of weight, or of quantity.

³⁶You shall have just balances, just weights, a just ephah, and a just hin. I am ForeverOne your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt.

³⁷"'You shall observe all my statutes, and all my ordinances, and do them. I am ForeverOne.'"

Isaiah Chapter 43

¹⁴Thus says ForeverOne, your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel: "For your sake, I have sent to Babylon, and I will bring all of them down as fugitives, even the Chaldeans, in the ships of their rejoicing.

¹⁵I am ForeverOne, your Holy One, the Creator of Israel, your King." ¹⁶Thus says ForeverOne, who makes a way in the sea, and a path in the mighty waters; ¹⁷who brings out the chariot and horse, the army and the mighty man (they lie down together, they shall not rise; they are extinct, they are quenched like a wick): ¹⁸"Don't remember the former things, and don't consider the things of old.

¹⁹Behold, I will do a new thing. It springs forth now. Don't you know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

²⁰The animals of the field shall honor me, the jackals and the ostriches; because I give water in the wilderness and rivers in the desert, to give drink to my people, my chosen, ²¹the people which I formed for myself, that they might set forth my praise.

²²Yet you have not called on me, Jacob; but you have been weary of me, Israel.

²³You have not brought me of your sheep for burnt offerings; neither have you honored me with your sacrifices. I have not burdened you with offerings, nor wearied you with frankincense.

²⁴You have bought me no sweet cane with money, nor have you filled me with the fat of your sacrifices; but you have burdened me with your sins. You have wearied me with your iniquities.

²⁵I, even I, am he who blots out your transgressions for my own sake; and I will not remember your sins.

²⁶Put me in remembrance. Let us plead together. Set forth your case, that you may be justified.

²⁷Your first father sinned, and your teachers have transgressed against me.

²⁸Therefore I will profane the princes of the sanctuary; and I will make Jacob a curse, and Israel an insult."

Isaiah Chapter 44

²This is what ForeverOne who made you, and formed you from the womb, who will help you says: "Don't be afraid, Jacob my servant; and you, Jeshurun, whom I have chosen.

³For I will pour water on him who is thirsty, and streams on the dry ground. I will pour my Spirit on your offspring, and my blessing on your offspring: ⁴and they will spring up among the grass, as willows by the watercourses.

⁵One will say, 'I am ForeverOne's;' and another will be called by the name of Jacob; and another will write with his hand 'to ForeverOne,' and honor the name of Israel." ⁶This is what ForeverOne, the King of Israel, and his Redeemer, ForeverOne of Armies, says: "I am the first, and I am the last; and besides me there is no God.

⁷Who is like me? Who will call, and will declare it, and set it in order for me, since I established the ancient people? Let them declare the things that are coming, and that will happen.

⁸Don't fear, neither be afraid. Haven't I declared it to you long ago, and shown it? You are my witnesses. Is there a God besides me? Indeed, there is not. I don't know any other Rock." ⁹Everyone who makes an engraved image is vain. The things that they delight in will not profit. Their own witnesses don't see, nor know, that they may be disappointed.

¹⁰Who has fashioned a god, or molds an image that is profitable for nothing?

¹¹Behold, all his fellows will be disappointed; and the workmen are mere men. Let them all be gathered together. Let them stand up. They will fear. They will be put to shame together.

Psalm 22

¹My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from helping me, and from the words of my groaning?

²My God, I cry in the daytime, but you don't answer; in the night season, and am not silent.

³But you are holy, you who inhabit the praises of Israel.

⁴Our fathers trusted in you. They trusted, and you delivered them.

⁵They cried to you, and were delivered. They trusted in you, and were not disappointed.

⁶But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised by the people.

⁷All those who see me mock me. They insult me with their lips. They shake their heads, saying, ⁸"He trusts in ForeverOne; let him deliver him. Let him rescue him, since he delights in him." ⁹But you brought me out of the womb. You made me trust at my mother's breasts.

¹⁰I was thrown on you from my mother's womb. You are my God since my mother bore me.

¹¹Don't be far from me, for trouble is near. For there is none to help.

¹²Many bulls have surrounded me. Strong bulls of Bashan have encircled me.

¹³They open their mouths wide against me, lions tearing prey and roaring.

¹⁴I am poured out like water. All my bones are out of joint. My heart is like wax; it is melted within me.

¹⁵My strength is dried up like a potsherd. My tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth. You have brought me into the dust of death.

¹⁶For dogs have surrounded me. A group of evildoers have enclosed me. They have pierced my hands and feet.

¹⁷I can count all of my bones. They look and stare at me.

¹⁸They divide my garments among them. They cast lots for my clothing.

¹⁹But don't be far off, ForeverOne. You are my help: hurry to help me.

²⁰Deliver my soul from the sword, my precious life from the power of the dog.

²¹Save me from the lion's mouth! Yes, from the horns of the wild oxen, you have answered me.

²²I will declare your name to my brothers. In the midst of the assembly, I will praise you.

²³You who fear ForeverOne, praise him! All you descendants of Jacob, glorify him! Stand in awe of him, all you descendants of Israel!

²⁴For he has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted, Neither has he hidden his face from him; but when he cried to him, he heard.

²⁵Of you comes my praise in the great assembly. I will pay my vows before those who fear him.

²⁶The humble shall eat and be satisfied. They shall praise ForeverOne who seek after him. Let your hearts live forever.

²⁷All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to ForeverOne. All the relatives of the nations shall worship before you.

²⁸For the kingdom is ForeverOne's. He is the ruler over the nations.

²⁹All the rich ones of the earth shall eat and worship. All those who go down to the dust shall bow before him, even he who can't keep his soul alive.

³⁰Posterity shall serve him. Future generations shall be told about LordOfMine.

³¹They shall come and shall declare his righteousness to a people that shall be born, for he has done it.

Acts Chapter 19

¹³But some of the itinerant Jews, exorcists, took on themselves to invoke over those who had the evil spirits the name of the Lord Jesus, saying, "We adjure you by Jesus whom Paul preaches." ¹⁴There were seven sons of one Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, who did this.

¹⁵The evil spirit answered, "Jesus I know, and Paul I know, but who are you?" ¹⁶The man in whom was the evil spirit leaped on them, domineered them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded.

¹⁷This became known to all, both Jews and Greeks, who lived at Ephesus. Fear fell on them all, and the name of the Lord Jesus was magnified.

¹⁸Many also of those who had believed came, confessing, and declaring their deeds.

¹⁹Many of those who practiced magical arts brought their books together and burned them in the sight of all. They counted their price, and found it to be fifty thousand pieces of silver.

²⁰So the word of the Lord was growing and becoming mighty.

²¹Now after these things had ended, Paul determined in the Spirit, when he had passed through Macedonia and Achaia, to go to Jerusalem, saying, "After I have been there, I must also see Rome." ²²Having sent into Macedonia two of those who served him, Timothy and Erastus, he himself stayed in Asia for a while.

²³About that time there arose no small disturbance concerning the Way.

²⁴For a certain man named Demetrius, a silversmith who made silver shrines of Artemis, brought no little business to the craftsmen, ²⁵whom he gathered together, with the workmen of like occupation, and said, "Sirs, you know that by this business we have our wealth.

²⁶You see and hear that not at Ephesus alone, but almost throughout all Asia, this Paul has persuaded and turned away many people, saying that they are no gods that are made with hands.

²⁷Not only is there danger that this our trade come into disrepute, but also that the temple of the great goddess Artemis will be counted as nothing and her majesty destroyed, whom all Asia and the world worships." ²⁸When they heard this they were filled with anger, and cried out, saying, "Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!" ²⁹The whole city was filled with confusion, and they rushed with one accord into the theater, having seized Gaius and Aristarchus, men of Macedonia, Paul's companions in travel.

³⁰When Paul wanted to enter in to the people, the disciples didn't allow him.

³¹Certain also of the Asiarchs, being his friends, sent to him and begged him not to venture into the theater.

³²So some cried one thing, and some another, for the assembly was in confusion. Most of them didn't know why they had come together.

³³They brought Alexander out of the multitude, the Jews putting him forward. Alexander beckoned with his hand, and would have made a defense to the people.

³⁴But when they perceived that he was a Jew, all with one voice for a time of about two hours cried out, "Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!"
