Numbers Chapter 4

34Moses and Aaron and the princes of the congregation counted the sons of the Kohathites by their families, and by their fathers' houses, 35from thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old, everyone who entered into the service, for work in the Tent of Meeting.

36Those who were counted of them by their families were two thousand seven hundred fifty.

37These are those who were counted of the families of the Kohathites, all who served in the Tent of Meeting, whom Moses and Aaron counted according to the commandment of ForeverOne by Moses.

38Those who were counted of the sons of Gershon, their families, and by their fathers' houses, 39from thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old, everyone who entered into the service, for work in the Tent of Meeting, 40even those who were counted of them, by their families, by their fathers' houses, were two thousand six hundred thirty.

41These are those who were counted of the families of the sons of Gershon, all who served in the Tent of Meeting, whom Moses and Aaron counted according to the commandment of ForeverOne.

42Those who were counted of the families of the sons of Merari, by their families, by their fathers' houses, 43from thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old, everyone who entered into the service, for work in the Tent of Meeting, 44even those who were counted of them by their families, were three thousand two hundred.

45These are those who were counted of the families of the sons of Merari, whom Moses and Aaron counted according to the commandment of ForeverOne by Moses.

46All those who were counted of the Levites, whom Moses and Aaron and the princes of Israel counted, by their families, and by their fathers' houses, 47from thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old, everyone who entered in to do the work of service, and the work of bearing burdens in the Tent of Meeting, 48even those who were counted of them, were eight thousand five hundred eighty.

49According to the commandment of ForeverOne they were counted by Moses, everyone according to his service, and according to his burden. Thus were they counted by him, as ForeverOne commanded Moses.

Jeremiah 13:24-14:22

26 verses

Jeremiah Chapter 13

24Therefore will I scatter them, as the stubble that passes away, by the wind of the wilderness.

25This is your lot, the portion measured to you from me, says ForeverOne; because you have forgotten me, and trusted in falsehood.

26Therefore will I also uncover your skirts on your face, and your shame shall appear.

27I have seen your abominations, even your adulteries, and your neighing, the lewdness of your prostitution, on the hills in the field. Woe to you, Jerusalem! You will not be made clean; how long shall it yet be?

Jeremiah Chapter 14

1The word of ForeverOne that came to Jeremiah concerning the drought.

2Judah mourns, and its gates languish, they sit in black on the ground; and the cry of Jerusalem is gone up.

3Their nobles send their little ones to the waters: they come to the cisterns, and find no water; they return with their vessels empty; they are disappointed and confounded, and cover their heads.

4Because of the ground which is cracked, because no rain has been in the land, the plowmen are disappointed, they cover their heads.

5Yes, the hind also in the field calves, and forsakes [her young], because there is no grass.

6The wild donkeys stand on the bare heights, they pant for air like jackals; their eyes fail, because there is no vegetation.

7Though our iniquities testify against us, work for your name's sake, ForeverOne; for our backslidings are many; we have sinned against you.

8You hope of Israel, its Savior in the time of trouble, why should you be as a foreigner in the land, and as a wayfaring man who turns aside to stay for a night?

9Why should you be like a scared man, as a mighty man who can't save? Yet you, ForeverOne, are in the midst of us, and we are called by your name; don't leave us.

10Thus says ForeverOne to this people, Even so have they loved to wander; they have not refrained their feet: therefore ForeverOne does not accept them; now he will remember their iniquity, and visit their sins.

11ForeverOne said to me, Don't pray for this people for [their] good.

12When they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when they offer burnt offering and meal offering, I will not accept them; but I will consume them by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence.

13Then I said, Ah, LordOfMine ForeverOne! behold, the prophets tell them, You shall not see the sword, neither shall you have famine; but I will give you assured peace in this place.

14Then ForeverOne said to me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name; I didn't send them, neither have I commanded them, neither spoke I to them: they prophesy to you a lying vision, and divination, and a thing of nothing, and the deceit of their own heart.

15Therefore thus says ForeverOne concerning the prophets who prophesy in my name, and I didn't send them, yet they say, Sword and famine shall not be in this land: By sword and famine shall those prophets be consumed.

16The people to whom they prophesy shall be thrown out in the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and the sword; and they shall have none to bury them - them, their wives, nor their sons, nor their daughters: for I will pour their wickedness on them.

17You shall say this word to them, Let my eyes run down with tears night and day, and let them not cease; for the virgin daughter of my people is broken with a great breach, with a very grievous wound.

18If I go forth into the field, then, behold, the slain with the sword! and if I enter into the city, then, behold, those who are sick with famine! for both the prophet and the priest go about in the land, and have no knowledge.

19Have you utterly rejected Judah? has your soul loathed Zion? why have you struck us, and there is no healing for us? We looked for peace, but no good came; and for a time of healing, and behold, dismay!

20We acknowledge, ForeverOne, our wickedness, and the iniquity of our fathers; for we have sinned against you.

21Do not abhor [us], for your name's sake; do not disgrace the throne of your glory: remember, don't break your covenant with us.

22Are there any among the vanities of the nations that can cause rain? or can the sky give showers? Aren't you he, ForeverOne our God? therefore we will wait for you; for you have made all these things.

Psalm 69

37 verses

Psalm 69

For the Chief Musician. To the tune of "Lilies." By David.

1Save me, God, for the waters have come up to my neck!

2I sink in deep mire, where there is no foothold. I have entered deep waters, where the floods overflow me.

3I am weary with my crying. My throat is dry. My eyes fail, looking for my God.

4Those who hate me without a cause are more than the hairs of my head. Those who want to cut me off, being my enemies wrongfully, are mighty. I have to restore what I didn't take away.

5God, you know my foolishness. My sins aren't hidden from you.

6Don't let those who wait for you be shamed through me, LordOfMine ForeverOne of Armies. Don't let those who seek you be brought to dishonor through me, God of Israel.

7Because for your sake, I have borne reproach. Shame has covered my face.

8I have become a stranger to my brothers, an alien to my mother's children.

9For the zeal of your house consumes me. The reproaches of those who reproach you have fallen on me.

10When I wept and I fasted, that was to my reproach.

11When I made sackcloth my clothing, I became a byword to them.

12Those who sit in the gate talk about me. I am the song of the drunkards.

13But as for me, my prayer is to you, ForeverOne, in an acceptable time. God, in the abundance of your loving kindness, answer me in the truth of your salvation.

14Deliver me out of the mire, and don't let me sink. Let me be delivered from those who hate me, and out of the deep waters.

15Don't let the flood waters overwhelm me, neither let the deep swallow me up. Don't let the pit shut its mouth on me.

16Answer me, ForeverOne, for your loving kindness is good. According to the multitude of your tender mercies, turn to me.

17Don't hide your face from your servant, for I am in distress. Answer me speedily!

18Draw near to my soul, and redeem it. Ransom me because of my enemies.

19You know my reproach, my shame, and my dishonor. My adversaries are all before you.

20Reproach has broken my heart, and I am full of heaviness. I looked for some to take pity, but there was none; for comforters, but I found none.

21They also gave me gall for my food. In my thirst, they gave me vinegar to drink.

22Let their table before them become a snare. May it become a retribution and a trap.

23Let their eyes be darkened, so that they can't see. Let their backs be continually bent.

24Pour out your indignation on them. Let the fierceness of your anger overtake them.

25Let their habitation be desolate. Let no one dwell in their tents.

26For they persecute him whom you have wounded. They tell of the sorrow of those whom you have hurt.

27Charge them with crime upon crime. Don't let them come into your righteousness.

28Let them be blotted out of the book of life, and not be written with the righteous.

29But I am in pain and distress. Let your salvation, God, protect me.

30I will praise the name of God with a song, and will magnify him with thanksgiving.

31It will please ForeverOne better than an ox, or a bull that has horns and hoofs.

32The humble have seen it, and are glad. You who seek after God, let your heart live.

33For ForeverOne hears the needy, and doesn't despise his captive people.

34Let heaven and earth praise him; the seas, and everything that moves in it!

35For God will save Zion, and build the cities of Judah. They shall settle there, and own it.

36The children also of his servants shall inherit it. Those who love his name shall dwell there.

Section 4

Romans 11:16-12:3

24 verses

Romans Chapter 11

16If the first fruit is holy, so is the lump. If the root is holy, so are the branches.

17But if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive, were grafted in among them and became partaker with them of the root and of the richness of the olive tree, 18don't boast over the branches. But if you boast, it is not you who support the root, but the root supports you.

19You will say then, "Branches were broken off, that I might be grafted in." 20True; by their unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by your faith. Don't be conceited, but fear; 21for if God didn't spare the natural branches, neither will he spare you.

22See then the goodness and severity of God. Toward those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in his goodness; otherwise you also will be cut off.

23They also, if they don't continue in their unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again.

24For if you were cut out of what is by nature a wild olive tree, and were grafted contrary to nature into a good olive tree, how much more will these, which are the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree?

25For I don't desire you to be ignorant, brothers, of this mystery, so that you won't be wise in your own conceits, that a partial hardening has happened to Israel, until the fullness of the Gentiles has come in, 26and so all Israel will be saved. Even as it is written, "There will come out of Zion the Deliverer, and he will turn away ungodliness from Jacob.

27This is my covenant with them, when I will take away their sins." 28Concerning the Good News, they are enemies for your sake. But concerning the election, they are dear-ones for the fathers' sake.

29For the gifts and the calling of God are irrevocable.

30For as you in time past were disobedient to God, but now have obtained mercy by their disobedience, 31even so these also have now been disobedient, that by the mercy shown to you they may also obtain mercy.

32For God has bound all to disobedience, that he might have mercy on all.

33Oh the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and the knowledge of God! How unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past tracing out!

34"For who has known the mind of ForeverOne? Or who has been his counselor?" 35"Or who has first given to him, and it will be repaid to him again?" 36For of him, and through him, and to him are all things. To him be the glory for ever! Amen.

Romans Chapter 12

1So I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service.

2Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.

3For I say through the grace that was given me, to every man who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think reasonably, as God has apportioned to each person a measure of faith.
