Numbers 18:1-13

13 verses

Numbers Chapter 18

1ForeverOne said to Aaron, "You and your sons and your fathers' house with you shall bear the iniquity of the sanctuary; and you and your sons with you shall bear the iniquity of your priesthood.

2Your brothers also, the tribe of Levi, the tribe of your father, bring near with you, that they may be joined to you, and minister to you: but you and your sons with you shall be before the tent of the testimony.

3They shall keep your commands, and the duty of all the Tent: only they shall not come near to the vessels of the sanctuary and to the altar, that they not die, neither they, nor you.

4They shall be joined to you, and keep the responsibility of the Tent of Meeting, for all the service of the Tent: and a stranger shall not come near to you.

5"You shall perform the duty of the sanctuary, and the duty of the altar; that there be wrath no more on the children of Israel.

6I, behold, I have taken your brothers the Levites from among the children of Israel: to you they are a gift, given to ForeverOne, to do the service of the Tent of Meeting.

7You and your sons with you shall keep your priesthood for everything of the altar, and for that within the veil; and you shall serve: I give you the priesthood as a service of gift: and the stranger who comes near shall be put to death." 8ForeverOne spoke to Aaron, "I, behold, I have given you the command of my wave offerings, even all the holy things of the children of Israel; to you have I given them by reason of the anointing, and to your sons, as a portion forever.

9This shall be yours of the most holy things, [reserved] from the fire: every offering of theirs, even every meal offering of theirs, and every sin offering of theirs, and every trespass offering of theirs, which they shall render to me, shall be most holy for you and for your sons.

10You shall eat of it like the most holy things. Every male shall eat of it. It shall be holy to you.

11"This is yours, too: the wave offering of their gift, even all the wave offerings of the children of Israel. I have given them to you, and to your sons and to your daughters with you, as a portion forever. Everyone who is clean in your house shall eat of it.

12"All the best of the oil, and all the best of the vintage, and of the grain, the first fruits of them which they give to ForeverOne, to you have I given them.

13The first-ripe fruits of all that is in their land, which they bring to ForeverOne, shall be yours; everyone who is clean in your house shall eat of it.

Jeremiah 44:1-19

19 verses

Jeremiah Chapter 44

1The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the Jews who lived in the land of Egypt, who lived at Migdol, and at Tahpanhes, and at Memphis, and in the country of Pathros, saying, 2Thus says ForeverOne of Armies, the God of Israel: You have seen all the evil that I have brought on Jerusalem, and on all the cities of Judah; and behold, today they are a desolation, and no man dwells there, 3because of their wickedness which they have committed to provoke me to anger, in that they went to burn incense, [and] to serve other gods, that they didn't know, neither they, nor you, nor your fathers.

4However I sent to you all my servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, saying, Oh, don't do this abominable thing that I hate.

5But they didn't listen, nor inclined their ear to turn from their wickedness, to burn no incense to other gods.

6Therefore my wrath and my anger was poured forth, and was kindled in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem; and they are wasted and desolate, as it is today.

7Therefore now thus says ForeverOne, the God of Armies, the God of Israel: Why do you commit great evil against your own souls, to cut off from yourselves man and woman, infant and nursing child out of the midst of Judah, to leave yourselves none remaining; 8in that you provoke me to anger with the works of your hands, burning incense to other gods in the land of Egypt, where you have gone to live; that you may be cut off, and that you may be a curse and a reproach among all the nations of the earth?

9Have you forgotten the wickedness of your fathers, and the wickedness of the kings of Judah, and the wickedness of their wives, and your own wickedness, and the wickedness of your wives which they committed in the land of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem?

10They are not humbled even to this day, neither have they feared, nor walked in my law, nor in my statutes, that I set before you and before your fathers.

11Therefore thus says ForeverOne of Armies, the God of Israel: Behold, I will set my face against you for evil, even to cut off all Judah.

12I will take the remnant of Judah, that have set their faces to go into the land of Egypt to live there, and they shall all be consumed; in the land of Egypt shall they fall; they shall be consumed by the sword and by the famine; they shall die, from the least even to the greatest, by the sword and by the famine; and they shall be an object of horror, [and] an astonishment, and a curse, and a reproach.

13For I will punish those who dwell in the land of Egypt, as I have punished Jerusalem, by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence; 14so that none of the remnant of Judah, who have gone into the land of Egypt to live there, shall escape or be left, to return into the land of Judah, to which they have a desire to return to dwell there: for none shall return except those who shall escape.

15Then all the men who knew that their wives burned incense to other gods, and all the women who stood by, a great assembly, even all the people who lived in the land of Egypt, in Pathros, answered Jeremiah, saying, 16As for the word that you have spoken to us in the name of ForeverOne, we will not listen to you.

17But we will certainly perform every word that is gone forth out of our mouth, to burn incense to the queen of the sky, and to pour out drink offerings to her, as we have done, we and our fathers, our kings and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem; for then had we plenty of food, and were well, and saw no evil.

18But since we left off burning incense to the queen of the sky, and pouring out drink offerings to her, we have wanted all things, and have been consumed by the sword and by the famine.

19When we burned incense to the queen of the sky, and poured out drink offerings to her, did we make her cakes to worship her, and pour out drink offerings to her, without our husbands?

Section 3

Psalm 108

14 verses

Psalm 108

A Song. A Psalm by David.

1My heart is steadfast, God. I will sing and I will make music with my soul.

2Wake up, harp and lyre! I will wake up the dawn.

3I will give thanks to you, ForeverOne, among the nations. I will sing praises to you among the peoples.

4For your loving kindness is great above the heavens. Your faithfulness reaches to the skies.

5Be exalted, God, above the heavens! Let your glory be over all the earth.

6That your beloved may be delivered, save with your right hand, and answer us.

7God has spoken from his sanctuary: "In triumph, I will divide Shechem, and measure out the valley of Succoth.

8Gilead is mine. Manasseh is mine. Ephraim also is my helmet. Judah is my scepter.

9Moab is my wash pot. I will toss my sandal on Edom. I will shout over Philistia." 10Who will bring me into the fortified city? Who has led me to Edom?

11Haven't you rejected us, God? You don't go forth, God, with our armies.

12Give us help against the enemy, for the help of man is vain.

13Through God, we will do valiantly. For it is he who will tread down our enemies.

Section 4

2 Corinthians 6:14-7:11

16 verses

2 Corinthians Chapter 6

14Don't be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship do righteousness and iniquity have? Or what fellowship does light have with darkness?

15What agreement does the AnointedOne have with Belial? Or what portion does a believer have with an unbeliever?

16What agreement does a temple of God have with idols? For you are a temple of the living God. Even as God said, "I will dwell in them and walk in them. I will be their God and they will be my people." 17So "'Come out from among them, and be separate,' says ForeverOne. 'Touch no unclean thing. I will receive you.

18I will be to you a Father. You will be to me sons and daughters,' says ForeverOne Almighty."

2 Corinthians Chapter 7

1So, having these promises, dear-ones, let us cleanse ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

2Open your hearts to us. We wronged no one. We corrupted no one. We took advantage of no one.

3I say this not to condemn you, for I have said before that you are in our hearts to die together and live together.

4Great is my boldness of speech toward you. Great is my boasting on your behalf. I am filled with comfort. I overflow with joy in all our affliction.

5For even when we had entered Macedonia, our flesh had no relief, but we were afflicted on every side. Fightings were outside. Fear was inside.

6Nevertheless, he who comforts the lowly, God, comforted us by the coming of Titus, 7and not by his coming only, but also by the comfort with which he was comforted in you while he told us of your longing, your mourning, and your zeal for me, so that I rejoiced still more.

8For though I grieved you with my letter, I do not regret it, though I did regret it. For I see that my letter made you grieve, though just for a while.

9I now rejoice, not that you were grieved, but that you were grieved to repentance. For you were grieved in a godly way, that you might suffer loss by us in nothing.

10For godly sorrow produces repentance to salvation, which brings no regret. But the sorrow of the world produces death.

11For behold, this same thing, that you were grieved in a godly way, what earnest care it worked in you. Yes, what defense, indignation, fear, longing, zeal, and vengeance! In everything you demonstrated yourselves to be pure in the matter.
