Leviticus Chapter 10

¹⁶Moses diligently inquired about the goat of the sin offering, and, behold, it was burned: and he was angry with Eleazar and with Ithamar, the sons of Aaron who were left, saying, ¹⁷"Why haven't you eaten the sin offering in the place of the sanctuary, since it is most holy, and he has given it you to bear the iniquity of the congregation, to make atonement for them before ForeverOne?

¹⁸Behold, its blood was not brought into the inner part of the sanctuary: you certainly should have eaten it in the sanctuary, as I commanded." ¹⁹Aaron spoke to Moses, "Behold, today they have offered their sin offering and their burnt offering before ForeverOne; and such things as these have happened to me: and if I had eaten the sin offering today, would it have been pleasing in the sight of ForeverOne?" ²⁰When Moses heard that, it was pleasing in his sight.

Leviticus Chapter 11

¹ForeverOne spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying to them, ²"Speak to the children of Israel, saying, 'These are the living things which you may eat among all the animals that are on the earth.

³Whatever parts the hoof, and is cloven-footed, and chews the cud among the animals, that you may eat.

⁴"'Nevertheless these you mustn't eat of those that chew the cud, or of those who part the hoof: the camel, because he chews the cud but doesn't have a parted hoof, he is unclean to you.

⁵The coney, because he chews the cud but doesn't have a parted hoof, he is unclean to you.

⁶The hare, because she chews the cud but doesn't part the hoof, she is unclean to you.

⁷The pig, because he has a split hoof, and is cloven-footed, but doesn't chew the cud, he is unclean to you.

⁸You mustn't eat their flesh. You mustn't touch their carcasses. They are unclean to you.

⁹"'These you may eat of all that are in the waters: whatever has fins and scales in the waters, in the seas, and in the rivers, that you may eat.

¹⁰All that don't have fins and scales in the seas, and in the rivers, of all that move in the waters, and of all the living creatures that are in the waters, they are an abomination to you, ¹¹and you must detest them. You mustn't eat 01320> their flesh, and you shall detest their carcasses.

¹²Whatever has no fins nor scales in the waters, that is an abomination to you.

Isaiah Chapter 16

¹Send the lambs for the ruler of the land from Selah to the wilderness, to the mountain of the daughter of Zion.

²For it will be that as wandering birds, as a scattered nest, so will the daughters of Moab be at the fords of the Arnon.

³Give counsel! Execute justice! Make your shade like the night in the midst of the noonday! Hide the outcasts! Don't betray the fugitive!

⁴Let my outcasts dwell with you! As for Moab, be a hiding place for him from the face of the destroyer. For the extortioner is brought to nothing. Destruction ceases. The oppressors are consumed out of the land.

⁵A throne will be established in loving kindness. One will sit on it in truth, in the tent of David, judging, seeking justice, and swift to do righteousness.

⁶We have heard of the pride of Moab, that he is very proud; even of his arrogance, his pride, and his wrath. His boastings are nothing.

⁷Therefore Moab will wail for Moab. Everyone will wail. You will mourn for the raisin cakes of Kir Hareseth, utterly stricken.

⁸For the fields of Heshbon languish with the vine of Sibmah. The lords of the nations have broken down its choice branches, which reached even to Jazer, which wandered into the wilderness. Its shoots were spread abroad. They passed over the sea.

⁹Therefore I will weep with the weeping of Jazer for the vine of Sibmah. I will water you with my tears, Heshbon, and Elealeh: for on your summer fruits and on your harvest the battle shout has fallen.

¹⁰Gladness is taken away, and joy out of the fruitful field; and in the vineyards there will be no singing, neither joyful noise. Nobody will tread out wine in the presses. I have made the shouting stop.

¹¹Therefore my heart sounds like a harp for Moab, and my inward parts for Kir Heres.

¹²When Moab presents himself, when he wearies himself on the high place, and comes to his sanctuary to pray, that he will not prevail.

¹³This is the word that ForeverOne spoke concerning Moab in time past.

¹⁴But now ForeverOne has spoken, saying, "Within three years, as a worker bound by contract would count them, the glory of Moab shall be brought into contempt, with all his great multitude; and the remnant will be very small and feeble."

Isaiah Chapter 17

²The cities of Aroer are forsaken. They will be for flocks, which shall lie down, and none shall make them afraid.

³The fortress shall cease from Ephraim, and the kingdom from Damascus, and the remnant of Syria. They will be as the glory of the children of Israel," says ForeverOne of Armies.

⁴"In the day that the glory of Jacob will be made thin, and the abundance of his flesh will become lean.

⁵It will be like when the harvester gathers the wheat, and his arm reaps the grain. Yes, it will be like when one gleans grain in the valley of Rephaim.

⁶Yet gleanings will be left there, like the shaking of an olive tree, two or three olives in the top of the uppermost bough, four or five in the outermost branches of a fruitful tree," says ForeverOne, the God of Israel.

⁷In that day, people will look to their Maker, and their eyes will have respect for the Holy One of Israel.

⁸They will not look to the altars, the work of their hands; neither shall they respect what their fingers have made, either the Asherim, or the incense altars.

⁹In that day, their strong cities will be like the forsaken places in the woods and on the mountain top, which were forsaken from before the children of Israel; and it will be a desolation.

¹⁰For you have forgotten the God of your salvation, and have not remembered the rock of your strength. Therefore you plant pleasant plants, and set out foreign seedlings.

¹¹In the day of your planting, you hedge it in. In the morning, you make your seed blossom, but the harvest flees away in the day of grief and of desperate sorrow.

¹²Ah, the uproar of many peoples, who roar like the roaring of the seas; and the rushing of nations, that rush like the rushing of mighty waters!

¹³The nations will rush like the rushing of many waters: but he will rebuke them, and they will flee far off, and will be chased like the chaff of the mountains before the wind, and like the whirling dust before the storm.

¹⁴At evening, behold, terror! Before the morning, they are no more. This is the portion of those who plunder us, and the lot of those who rob us.

Job Chapter 34

¹⁰"Therefore listen to me, you men of understanding: far be it from God, that he should do wickedness, from the Almighty, that he should commit iniquity.

¹¹For the work of a man he will render to him, and cause every man to find according to his ways.

¹²Yes surely, God will not do wickedly, neither will the Almighty pervert justice.

¹³Who put him in charge of the earth? or who has appointed him over the whole world?

¹⁴If he set his heart on himself, If he gathered to himself his spirit and his breath, ¹⁵all flesh would perish together, and man would turn again to dust.

¹⁶"If now you have understanding, hear this. Listen to the voice of my words.

¹⁷Shall even one who hates justice govern? Will you condemn him who is righteous and mighty? - ¹⁸Who says to a king, 'Vile!' or to nobles, 'Wicked!'?

¹⁹Who doesn't respect the persons of princes, nor respects the rich more than the poor; for they all are the work of his hands.

²⁰In a moment they die, even at midnight. The people are shaken and pass away. The mighty are taken away without a hand.

²¹"For his eyes are on the ways of a man. He sees all his goings.

²²There is no darkness, nor thick gloom, where the workers of iniquity may hide themselves.

²³For he doesn't need to consider a man further, that he should go before God in judgment.

²⁴He breaks in pieces mighty men in ways past finding out, and sets others in their place.

²⁵Therefore he takes knowledge of their works. He overturns them in the night, so that they are destroyed.

²⁶He strikes them as wicked men in the open sight of others; ²⁷because they turned aside from following him, and wouldn't pay attention to any of his ways, ²⁸so that they caused the cry of the poor to come to him. He heard the cry of the afflicted.

²⁹When he gives quietness, who then can condemn? When he hides his face, who then can see him? Alike whether to a nation, or to a man, ³⁰that the godless man may not reign, that there be no one to ensnare the people.

³¹"For has any said to God, 'I am guilty, but I will not offend any more.

³²Teach me what I don't see. If I have done iniquity, I will do it no more'?

³³Shall his recompense be as you desire, that you refuse it? For you must choose, and not I. Therefore speak what you know.

³⁴Men of understanding will tell me, yes, every wise man who hears me: ³⁵'Job speaks without knowledge. His words are without wisdom.' ³⁶I wish that Job were tried to the end, because of his answering like wicked men.

³⁷For he adds rebellion to his sin. He claps his hands among us, and multiplies his words against God."

Acts Chapter 8

¹⁸Now when Simon saw that the Holy Spirit was given through the laying on of the apostles' hands, he offered them money, ¹⁹saying, "Give me also this power, that whomever I lay my hands on may receive the Holy Spirit." ²⁰But Peter said to him, "May your silver perish with you, because you thought you could obtain the gift of God with money!

²¹You have neither part nor lot in this matter, for your heart isn't right before God.

²²So repent of this, your wickedness, and ask God if perhaps the thought of your heart may be forgiven you.

²³For I see that you are in the poison of bitterness and in the slavery of iniquity." ²⁴Simon answered, "Pray for me to the Lord, that none of the things which you have spoken happen to me." ²⁵So, when they had testified and spoken the word of the Lord, they returned to Jerusalem and preached the Good News to many villages of the Samaritans.

²⁶But an angel of ForeverOne spoke to Philip, saying, "Arise, and go toward the south to the way that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza. This is a desert." ²⁷He arose and went; and behold, there was a man of Ethiopia, a eunuch of great authority under Candace, queen of the Ethiopians, who was over all her treasure, who had come to Jerusalem to worship.

²⁸He was returning and sitting in his chariot, and was reading the prophet Isaiah.

²⁹The Spirit said to Philip, "Go near, and join yourself to this chariot." ³⁰Philip ran to him, and heard him reading Isaiah the prophet, and said, "Do you understand what you are reading?" ³¹He said, "How can I, unless someone explains it to me?" He begged Philip to come up and sit with him.

³²Now the passage of the Scripture which he was reading was this, "He was led as a sheep to the slaughter. As a lamb before his shearer is silent, so he doesn't open his mouth.

³³In his humiliation, his judgment was taken away. Who will declare His generation? For his life is taken from the earth." ³⁴The eunuch answered Philip, "Who is the prophet talking about? About himself, or about someone else?" ³⁵Philip opened his mouth, and beginning from this Scripture, preached to him about Jesus.

³⁶As they went on the way, they came to some water, and the eunuch said, "Behold, here is water. What is keeping me from being baptized?" ³⁷[Omitted from WEB - Philip said, "If you believe with all your heart, you may." He answered, "I believe that Jesus AnointedOne is the Son of God."] ³⁸He commanded the chariot to stand still, and they both went down into the water, both Philip and the eunuch, and he baptized him.

³⁹When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of ForeverOne caught Philip away, and the eunuch didn't see him any more, for he went on his way rejoicing.

⁴⁰But Philip was found at Azotus. Passing through, he preached the Good News to all the cities, until he came to Caesarea.
