Deuteronomy Chapter 10

¹⁰I stayed on the mountain, as at the first time, forty days and forty nights: and ForeverOne listened to me that time also; ForeverOne would not destroy you.

¹¹ForeverOne said to me, "Arise, take your journey before the people; and they shall go in and possess the land, which I swore to their fathers to give to them." ¹²Now, Israel, what does ForeverOne your God require of you, but to fear ForeverOne your God, to walk in all his ways, and to love him, and to serve ForeverOne your God with all your heart and with all your soul, ¹³to keep the commandments of ForeverOne, and his statutes, which I command you today for your good?

¹⁴Behold, to ForeverOne your God belongs heaven and the heaven of heavens, the earth, with all that is in it.

¹⁵Only ForeverOne had a delight in your fathers to love them, and he chose their offspring after them, even you above all peoples, as it is today.

¹⁶Circumcise therefore the foreskin of your heart, and be no more stiff-necked.

¹⁷For ForeverOne your God, he is God of gods, and Lord of lords, the great God, the mighty, and the awesome, who doesn't respect persons, nor takes reward.

¹⁸He does execute justice for the fatherless and widow, and loves the foreigner, in giving him food and clothing.

¹⁹Therefore love the foreigner; for you were foreigners in the land of Egypt.

²⁰You shall fear ForeverOne your God; you shall serve him; and you shall cling to him, and you shall swear by his name.

²¹He is your praise, and he is your God, who has done for you these great and awesome things, which your eyes have seen.

²²Your fathers went down into Egypt with seventy persons; and now ForeverOne your God has made you as the stars of the sky for multitude.

Ezekiel Chapter 46

¹¹In the feasts and in the solemnities the meal offering shall be an ephah for a bull, and an ephah for a ram, and for the lambs as he is able to give, and a hin of oil to an ephah.

¹²When the prince shall prepare a freewill offering, a burnt offering or peace offerings as a freewill offering to ForeverOne, one shall open for him the gate that looks toward the east; and he shall prepare his burnt offering and his peace offerings, as he does on the Sabbath day: then he shall go forth; and after his going forth one shall shut the gate.

¹³You shall prepare a lamb a year old without blemish for a burnt offering to ForeverOne daily: morning by morning you shall prepare it.

¹⁴You shall prepare a meal offering with it morning by morning, the sixth part of an ephah, and the third part of a hin of oil, to moisten the fine flour; a meal offering to ForeverOne continually by a perpetual ordinance.

¹⁵Thus shall they prepare the lamb, and the meal offering, and the oil, morning by morning, for a continual burnt offering.

¹⁶Thus says LordOfMine ForeverOne: If the prince give a gift to any of his sons, it is his inheritance, it shall belong to his sons; it is their possession by inheritance.

¹⁷But if he give of his inheritance a gift to one of his servants, it shall be his to the year of liberty; then it shall return to the prince; but as for his inheritance, it shall be for his sons.

¹⁸Moreover the prince shall not take of the people's inheritance, to thrust them out of their possession; he shall give inheritance to his sons out of his own possession, that my people not be scattered every man from his possession.

¹⁹Then he brought me through the entry, which was at the side of the gate, into the holy rooms for the priests, which looked toward the north: and behold, there was a place on the hind part westward.

²⁰He said to me, This is the place where the priests shall boil the trespass offering and the sin offering, [and] where they shall bake the meal offering; that they not bring them forth into the outer court, to sanctify the people.

²¹Then he brought me forth into the outer court, and caused me to pass by the four corners of the court; and behold, in every corner of the court there was a court.

²²In the four corners of the court there were courts enclosed, forty [cubits] long and thirty wide: these four in the corners were of one measure.

²³There was a wall around in them, around the four, and boiling places were made under the walls all around.

²⁴Then he said to me, These are the boiling houses, where the ministers of the house shall boil the sacrifice of the people.

Ezekiel Chapter 47

¹He brought me back to the door of the house; and behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward; (for the forefront of the house was toward the east;) and the waters came down from under, from the right side of the house, on the south of the altar.

²Then he brought me out by the way of the gate northward, and led me round by the way outside to the outer gate, by the way of [the gate] that looks toward the east; and behold, there ran out waters on the right side.

³When the man went forth eastward with the line in his hand, he measured one thousand cubits, and he caused me to pass through the waters, waters that were to the ankles.

⁴Again he measured one thousand, and caused me to pass through the waters, waters that were to the knees. Again he measured one thousand, and caused me to pass through [the waters], waters that were to the waist.

⁵Afterward he measured one thousand; [and it was] a river that I could not pass through; for the waters were risen, waters to swim in, a river that could not be passed through.

Ecclesiastes Chapter 3

¹For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven: ²a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what is planted; ³a time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up; ⁴a time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance; ⁵a time to throw away stones, and a time to gather stones together; a time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing; ⁶a time to seek, and a time to lose; a time to keep, and a time to throw away; ⁷a time to tear, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; ⁸a time to love, and a time to hate; a time for war, and a time for peace.

⁹What profit has he who works in that in which he labors?

¹⁰I have seen the burden which God has given to the sons of men to be afflicted with.

¹¹He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in their hearts, yet so that man can't find out the work that God has done from the beginning even to the end.

¹²I know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice, and to do good as long as they live.

¹³Also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy good in all his labor, is the gift of God.

¹⁴I know that whatever God does, it shall be forever. Nothing can be added to it, nor anything taken from it; and God has done it, that men should fear before him.

¹⁵What is has been long ago, and what is to be has been long ago: and God seeks again what is departed.

¹⁶Moreover I saw under the sun, in the place of justice, that wickedness was there; and in the place of righteousness, that wickedness was there.

¹⁷I said in my heart, "God will judge the righteous and the wicked; for there is a time there for every purpose and for every work." ¹⁸I said in my heart, "As for the sons of men, God tests them, so that they may see that they themselves are like animals.

¹⁹For what happens to the sons of men happens to animals. Even one thing happens to them. As the one dies, so the other dies. Yes, they have all one breath; and man has no advantage over the animals: for all is vanity.

²⁰All go to one place. All are from the dust, and all turn to dust again.

²¹Who knows the spirit of man, whether it goes upward, and the spirit of the animal, whether it goes downward to the earth?" ²²Therefore I saw that there is nothing better, than that a man should rejoice in his works; for that is his portion: for who can bring him to see what will be after him?

James Chapter 1

¹James, a servant of God and of the Lord Jesus AnointedOne, to the twelve tribes which are in the Dispersion: Greetings.

²Count it all joy, my brothers, when you fall into various temptations, ³knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance.

⁴Let endurance have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.

⁵But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.

⁶But let him ask in faith, without any doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven by the wind and tossed.

⁷For that man shouldn't think that he will receive anything from the Lord.

⁸He is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

⁹But let the brother in humble circumstances glory in his high position; ¹⁰and the rich, in that he is made humble, because like the flower in the grass, he will pass away.

¹¹For the sun rises with the scorching wind and withers the grass, and the flower in it falls, and the beauty of its appearance perishes. So the rich man will also fade away in his pursuits.

¹²Blessed is the man who endures temptation, for when he has been approved, he will receive the crown of life, which the Lord promised to those who love him.

¹³Let no man say when he is tempted, "I am tempted by God," for God can't be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one.

¹⁴But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own lust and enticed.

¹⁵Then the lust, when it has conceived, produces sin; and the sin, when it is full grown, brings death.

¹⁶Don't be deceived, my dear brothers.

¹⁷Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom can be no variation, nor turning shadow.

¹⁸Of his own will he gave birth to us by the word of truth, that we should be a kind of first fruits of his creatures.

¹⁹So, then, my dear brothers, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, and slow to anger; ²⁰for the anger of man doesn't produce the righteousness of God.

²¹So, putting away all filthiness and overflowing of wickedness, receive with humility the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.

²²But be doers of the word, and not only hearers, deluding your own selves.

²³For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man looking at his natural face in a mirror; ²⁴for he sees himself, and goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.

²⁵But he who looks into the perfect law of freedom and continues, not being a hearer who forgets, but a doer of the work, this man will be blessed in what he does.

²⁶If anyone among you thinks himself to be religious while he doesn't control his tongue, but deceives his heart, this man's religion is worthless.

²⁷Pure religion and undefiled before our God and Father is this: to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.
