Leviticus 4:1-12

12 verses

Leviticus Chapter 4

1ForeverOne spoke to Moses, saying, 2"Speak to the children of Israel, saying, 'If anyone sins unintentionally, in any of the things which ForeverOne has commanded not to be done, and does any one of them: 3if the anointed priest sins so as to bring guilt on the people, then let him offer for his sin, which he has sinned, a young bull without blemish to ForeverOne for a sin offering.

4He shall bring the bull to the door of the Tent of Meeting before ForeverOne; and he shall lay his hand on the head of the bull, and kill the bull before ForeverOne.

5The anointed priest shall take some of the blood of the bull, and bring it to the Tent of Meeting.

6The priest shall dip his finger in the blood, and sprinkle some of the blood seven times before ForeverOne, before the veil of the sanctuary.

7The priest shall put some of the blood on the horns of the altar of sweet incense before ForeverOne, which is in the Tent of Meeting; and he shall pour out all of rest of the blood of the bull at the base of the altar of burnt offering, which is at the door of the Tent of Meeting.

8He shall take all the fat of the bull of the sin offering off of it; the fat that covers the innards, and all the fat that is on the innards, 9and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the loins, and the cover on the liver, with the kidneys, he shall take away, 10as it is taken off of the bull of the sacrifice of peace offerings. The priest shall burn them on the altar of burnt offering.

11The bull's skin, all its flesh, with its head, and with its legs, its innards, and its dung, 12the whole bull he will carry outside the camp to a clean place, where the ashes are poured out, and burn it on wood with fire. Where the ashes are poured out it shall be burned.

2 Kings 23:19-24:4

23 verses

2 Kings Chapter 23

19All the houses also of the high places that were in the cities of Samaria, which the kings of Israel had made to provoke [ForeverOne] to anger, Josiah took away, and did to them according to all the acts that he had done in Bethel.

20He killed all the priests of the high places that were there, on the altars, and burned men's bones on them; and he returned to Jerusalem.

21The king commanded all the people, saying, "Keep the Passover to ForeverOne your God, as it is written in this book of the covenant." 22Surely there was not kept such a Passover from the days of the judges who judged Israel, nor in all the days of the kings of Israel, nor of the kings of Judah; 23but in the eighteenth year of king Josiah was this Passover kept to ForeverOne in Jerusalem.

24Moreover those who had familiar spirits, and the wizards, and the teraphim, and the idols, and all the abominations that were seen in the land of Judah and in Jerusalem, Josiah put away, that he might confirm the words of the law which were written in the book that Hilkiah the priest found in the house of ForeverOne.

25Like him was there no king before him, who turned to ForeverOne with all his heart, and with all his soul, and with all his might, according to all the law of Moses; neither after him arose there any like him.

26Notwithstanding, ForeverOne didn't turn from the fierceness of his great wrath, with which his anger was kindled against Judah, because of all the provocation with which Manasseh had provoked him.

27ForeverOne said, "I will remove Judah also out of my sight, as I have removed Israel, and I will reject this city which I have chosen, even Jerusalem, and the house of which I said, 'My name shall be there.'" 28Now the rest of the acts of Josiah, and all that he did, aren't they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

29In his days Pharaoh Necoh king of Egypt went up against the king of Assyria to the river Euphrates: and king Josiah went against him; and [Pharaoh Necoh] killed him at Megiddo, when he had seen him.

30His servants carried him in a chariot dead from Megiddo, and brought him to Jerusalem, and buried him in his own tomb. The people of the land took Jehoahaz the son of Josiah, and anointed him, and made him king in his father's place.

31Jehoahaz was twenty-three years old when he began to reign; and he reigned three months in Jerusalem: and his mother's name was Hamutal the daughter of Jeremiah of Libnah.

32He did what was evil in the sight of ForeverOne, according to all that his fathers had done.

33Pharaoh Necoh put him in bonds at Riblah in the land of Hamath, that he might not reign in Jerusalem; and put the land to a tribute of one hundred talents of silver, and a talent of gold.

34Pharaoh Necoh made Eliakim the son of Josiah king in the place of Josiah his father, and changed his name to Jehoiakim: but he took Jehoahaz away; and he came to Egypt, and died there.

35Jehoiakim gave the silver and the gold to Pharaoh; but he taxed the land to give the money according to the commandment of Pharaoh: he exacted the silver and the gold of the people of the land, of everyone according to his taxation, to give it to Pharaoh Necoh.

36Jehoiakim was twenty-five years old when he began to reign; and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem: and his mother's name was Zebidah the daughter of Pedaiah of Rumah.

37He did what was evil in the sight of ForeverOne, according to all that his fathers had done.

2 Kings Chapter 24

1In his days Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came up, and Jehoiakim became his servant three years: then he turned and rebelled against him.

2ForeverOne sent against him bands of the Chaldeans, and bands of the Syrians, and bands of the Moabites, and bands of the children of Ammon, and sent them against Judah to destroy it, according to the word of ForeverOne, which he spoke by his servants the prophets.

3Surely at the commandment of ForeverOne came this on Judah, to remove them out of his sight, for the sins of Manasseh, according to all that he did, 4and also for the innocent blood that he shed; for he filled Jerusalem with innocent blood: and ForeverOne would not pardon.

Job 19

Job Chapter 19

1Then Job answered, 2"How long will you torment me, and crush me with words?

3You have reproached me ten times. You aren't ashamed that you attack me.

4If it is true that I have erred, my error remains with myself.

5If indeed you will magnify yourselves against me, and plead against me my reproach; 6know now that God has subverted me, and has surrounded me with his net.

7"Behold, I cry out of wrong, but I am not heard. I cry for help, but there is no justice.

8He has walled up my way so that I can't pass, and has set darkness in my paths.

9He has stripped me of my glory, and taken the crown from my head.

10He has broken me down on every side, and I am gone. My hope he has plucked up like a tree.

11He has also kindled his wrath against me. He counts me among his adversaries.

12His troops come on together, build a siege ramp against me, and encamp around my tent.

13"He has put my brothers far from me. My acquaintances are wholly estranged from me.

14My relatives have gone away. My familiar friends have forgotten me.

15Those who dwell in my house, and my maids, count me for a stranger. I am an alien in their sight.

16I call to my servant, and he gives me no answer. I beg him with my mouth.

17My breath is offensive to my wife. I am loathsome to the children of my own mother.

18Even young children despise me. If I arise, they speak against me.

19All my familiar friends abhor me. They whom I loved have turned against me.

20My bones stick to my skin and to my flesh. I have escaped by the skin of my teeth.

21"Have pity on me, have pity on me, you my friends; for the hand of God has touched me.

22Why do you persecute me as God, and are not satisfied with my flesh?

23"Oh that my words were now written! Oh that they were inscribed in a book!

24That with an iron pen and lead they were engraved in the rock forever!

25But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives. In the end, he will stand upon the earth.

26After my skin is destroyed, then in my flesh shall I see God, 27Whom I, even I, shall see on my side. My eyes shall see, and not as a stranger. "My heart is consumed within me.

28If you say, 'How we will persecute him!' because the root of the matter is found in me, 29be afraid of the sword, for wrath brings the punishments of the sword, that you may know there is a judgment."

John 21

John Chapter 21

1After these things, Jesus revealed himself again to the disciples at the sea of Tiberias. He revealed himself this way.

2Simon Peter, Thomas called Didymus, Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, and the sons of Zebedee, and two others of his disciples were together.

3Simon Peter said to them, "I'm going fishing." They told him, "We are also coming with you." They immediately went out, and entered into the boat. That night, they caught nothing.

4But when day had already come, Jesus stood on the beach, yet the disciples didn't know that it was Jesus.

5So Jesus said to them, "Children, have you anything to eat?" They answered him, "No." 6He said to them, "throw the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some." So They threw it, and then they weren't able to draw it in for the multitude of fish!

7So that disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, "It's the Lord!" So when Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he wrapped his coat around himself (for he was naked), and threw himself into the sea.

8But the other disciples came in the little boat (for they were not far from the land, but about two hundred cubits away), dragging the net full of fish.

9So when they got out on the land, they saw a fire of coals there, with fish and bread laid on it.

10Jesus said to them, "Bring some of the fish which you have just caught." 11Simon Peter went up, and drew the net to land, full of one hundred fifty-three great fish. Even though there were so many, the net wasn't torn.

12Jesus said to them, "Come and eat breakfast!" None of the disciples dared inquire of him, "Who are you?" knowing that it was the Lord.

13Then Jesus came and took the bread, gave it to them, and the fish likewise.

14This is now the third time that Jesus was revealed to his disciples after he had risen from the dead.

15So when they had eaten their breakfast, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love me more than these?" He said to him, "Yes, Lord; you know that I have affection for you." He said to him, "Feed my lambs." 16He said to him again a second time, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you love me?" He said to him, "Yes, Lord; you know that I have affection for you." He said to him, "Tend my sheep." 17He said to him the third time, "Simon, son of Jonah, do you have affection for me?" Peter was grieved because he asked him the third time, "Do you have affection for me?" He said to him, "Lord, you know everything. You know that I have affection for you." Jesus said to him, "Feed my sheep.

18Most certainly I tell you, when you were young, you dressed yourself and walked where you wanted to. But when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will dress you and carry you where you don't want to go." 19Now he said this, signifying by what kind of death he would glorify God. When he had said this, he said to him, "Follow me." 20Then Peter, turning around, saw a disciple following. This was the disciple whom Jesus loved, the one who had also leaned on Jesus' breast at the supper and asked, "Lord, who is going to betray you?" 21Peter seeing him, said to Jesus, "Lord, what about this man?" 22Jesus said to him, "If I desire that he stay until I come, what is that to you? You follow me." 23So this saying went out among the brothers, that this disciple wouldn't die. Yet Jesus didn't say to him that he wouldn't die, but, "If I desire that he stay until I come, what is that to you?" 24This is the disciple who testifies about these things, and wrote these things. We know that his witness is true.

25There are also many other things which Jesus did, which if they would all be written, I suppose that even the world itself wouldn't have room for the books that would be written.
