Leviticus Chapter 3

¹"'If his offering is a sacrifice of peace offerings; if he offers it from the herd, whether male or female, he shall offer it without blemish before ForeverOne.

²He shall lay his hand on the head of his offering, and kill it at the door of the Tent of Meeting: and Aaron's sons, the priests shall sprinkle the blood around on the altar.

³He shall offer of the sacrifice of peace offerings an offering made by fire to ForeverOne; the fat that covers the innards, and all the fat that is on the innards, ⁴and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the loins, and the cover on the liver, with the kidneys, he shall take away.

⁵Aaron's sons shall burn it on the altar on the burnt offering, which is on the wood that is on the fire: it is an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to ForeverOne.

⁶"'If his offering for a sacrifice of peace offerings to ForeverOne is from the flock; male or female, he shall offer it without blemish.

⁷If he offers a lamb for his offering, then he shall offer it before ForeverOne; ⁸and he shall lay his hand on the head of his offering, and kill it before the Tent of Meeting: and Aaron's sons shall sprinkle its blood around on the altar.

⁹He shall offer from the sacrifice of peace offerings an offering made by fire to ForeverOne; its fat, the entire tail fat, he shall take away close to the backbone; and the fat that covers the inwards, and all the fat that is on the inwards, ¹⁰and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the loins, and the cover on the liver, with the kidneys, he shall take away.

¹¹The priest shall burn it on the altar: it is the food of the offering made by fire to ForeverOne.

¹²"'If his offering is a goat, then he shall offer it before ForeverOne: ¹³and he shall lay his hand on its head, and kill it before the Tent of Meeting; and the sons of Aaron shall sprinkle its blood around on the altar.

¹⁴He shall offer from it as his offering, an offering made by fire to ForeverOne; the fat that covers the innards, and all the fat that is on the innards, ¹⁵and the two kidneys, and the fat that is on them, which is by the loins, and the cover on the liver, with the kidneys, he shall take away.

¹⁶The priest shall burn them on the altar: it is the food of the offering made by fire, for a pleasant aroma; all the fat is ForeverOne's.

¹⁷"'It shall be a perpetual statute throughout your generations in all your dwellings, that you shall eat neither fat nor blood.'"

2 Kings Chapter 23

¹The king sent, and they gathered to him all the elders of Judah and of Jerusalem.

²The king went up to the house of ForeverOne, and all the men of Judah and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem with him, and the priests, and the prophets, and all the people, both small and great: and he read in their ears all the words of the book of the covenant which was found in the house of ForeverOne.

³The king stood by the pillar, and made a covenant before ForeverOne, to walk after ForeverOne, and to keep his commandments, and his testimonies, and his statutes, with all [his] heart, and all [his] soul, to confirm the words of this covenant that were written in this book: and all the people stood to the covenant.

⁴The king commanded Hilkiah the high priest, and the priests of the second order, and the keepers of the threshold, to bring out of the temple of ForeverOne all the vessels that were made for Baal, and for the Asherah, and for all the army of the sky, and he burned them outside of Jerusalem in the fields of the Kidron, and carried the ashes of them to Bethel.

⁵He put down the idolatrous priests, whom the kings of Judah had ordained to burn incense in the high places in the cities of Judah, and in the places around Jerusalem; those also who burned incense to Baal, to the sun, and to the moon, and to the planets, and to all the army of the sky.

⁶He brought out the Asherah from the house of ForeverOne, outside of Jerusalem, to the brook Kidron, and burned it at the brook Kidron, and beat it to dust, and threw its dust on the graves of the common people.

⁷He broke down the houses of the sodomites, that were in the house of ForeverOne, where the women wove hangings for the Asherah.

⁸He brought all the priests out of the cities of Judah, and defiled the high places where the priests had burned incense, from Geba to Beersheba; and he broke down the high places of the gates that were at the entrance of the gate of Joshua the governor of the city, which were on a man's left hand at the gate of the city.

⁹Nevertheless the priests of the high places didn't come up to the altar of ForeverOne in Jerusalem, but they ate unleavened bread among their brothers.

¹⁰He defiled Topheth, which is in the valley of the children of Hinnom, that no man might make his son or his daughter to pass through the fire to Molech.

¹¹He took away the horses that the kings of Judah had given to the sun, at the entrance of the house of ForeverOne, by the room of Nathan Melech the officer, who was in the court; and he burned the chariots of the sun with fire.

¹²The altars that were on the roof of the upper room of Ahaz, which the kings of Judah had made, and the altars which Manasseh had made in the two courts of the house of ForeverOne, the king broke down, and beat [them] down from there, and threw the dust of them into the brook Kidron.

¹³The high places that were before Jerusalem, which were on the right hand of the mountain of corruption, which Solomon the king of Israel had built for Ashtoreth the abomination of the Sidonians, and for Chemosh the abomination of Moab, and for Milcom the abomination of the children of Ammon, the king defiled.

¹⁴He broke in pieces the pillars, and cut down the Asherim, and filled their places with the bones of men.

¹⁵Moreover the altar that was at Bethel, and the high place which Jeroboam the son of Nebat, who made Israel to sin, had made, even that altar and the high place he broke down; and he burned the high place and beat it to dust, and burned the Asherah.

¹⁶As Josiah turned himself, he spied the tombs that were there in the mountain; and he sent, and took the bones out of the tombs, and burned them on the altar, and defiled it, according to the word of ForeverOne which the man of God proclaimed, who proclaimed these things.

¹⁷Then he said, "What monument is what I see?" The men of the city told him, "It is the tomb of the man of God, who came from Judah, and proclaimed these things that you have done against the altar of Bethel." ¹⁸He said, "Let him be! Let no man move his bones." So they let his bones alone, with the bones of the prophet who came out of Samaria.

Job Chapter 17

⁶"But he has made me a byword of the people. They spit in my face.

⁷My eye also is dim by reason of sorrow. All my members are as a shadow.

⁸Upright men shall be astonished at this. The innocent shall stir up himself against the godless.

⁹Yet shall the righteous hold on his way. He who has clean hands shall grow stronger and stronger.

¹⁰But as for you all, come on now again; I shall not find a wise man among you.

¹¹My days are past, my plans are broken off, as are the thoughts of my heart.

¹²They change the night into day, saying 'The light is near' in the presence of darkness.

¹³If I look for Sheol as my house, if I have spread my couch in the darkness, ¹⁴If I have said to corruption, 'You are my father;' to the worm, 'My mother,' and 'my sister;' ¹⁵where then is my hope? as for my hope, who shall see it?

¹⁶Shall it go down with me to the gates of Sheol, or descend together into the dust?"

Job Chapter 18

¹Then Bildad the Shuhite answered, ²"How long will you hunt for words? Consider, and afterwards we will speak.

³Why are we counted as animals, which have become unclean in your sight?

⁴You who tear yourself in your anger, shall the earth be forsaken for you? Or shall the rock be removed out of its place?

⁵"Yes, the light of the wicked shall be put out, The spark of his fire shall not shine.

⁶The light shall be dark in his tent. His lamp above him shall be put out.

⁷The steps of his strength shall be shortened. His own counsel shall bring him down.

⁸For he is thrown into a net by his own feet, and he wanders into its mesh.

⁹A snare will take him by the heel. A trap will catch him.

¹⁰A noose is hidden for him in the ground, a trap for him in the way.

¹¹Terrors shall make him afraid on every side, and shall chase him at his heels.

¹²His strength shall be famished. Calamity shall be ready at his side.

¹³The members of his body shall be devoured. The firstborn of death shall devour his members.

¹⁴He shall be rooted out of his tent where he trusts. He shall be brought to the king of terrors.

¹⁵There shall dwell in his tent what is none of his. Sulfur shall be scattered on his habitation.

¹⁶His roots shall be dried up beneath. Above shall his branch be cut off.

¹⁷His memory shall perish from the earth. He shall have no name in the street.

¹⁸He shall be driven from light into darkness, and chased out of the world.

¹⁹He shall have neither son nor grandson among his people, nor any remaining where he lived.

²⁰Those who come after shall be astonished at his day, as those who went before were frightened.

²¹Surely such are the dwellings of the unrighteous. This is the place of him who doesn't know God."

John Chapter 20

¹⁹So when it was evening on that day, the first day of the week, and when the doors were locked where the disciples were assembled, for fear of the Jews, Jesus came and stood in the middle, and said to them, "Peace be to you." ²⁰When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his side. Therefore the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord.

²¹So Jesus said to them again, "Peace be to you. As the Father has sent me, even so I send you." ²²When he had said this, he breathed on them, and said to them, "Receive the Holy Spirit!

²³If you forgive anyone's sins, they have been forgiven. If you retain anyone's sins, they have been retained." ²⁴But Thomas, one of the twelve, called Didymus, wasn't with them when Jesus came.

²⁵So the other disciples said to him, "We have seen the Lord!" But he said to them, "Unless I see in his hands the print of the nails, put my finger into the print of the nails, and put my hand into his side, I will not believe." ²⁶After eight days again his disciples were inside and Thomas was with them. Though the doors were locked, Jesus came and stood in the middle and said, "Peace be to you." ²⁷Then he said to Thomas, "Reach here your finger, and see my hands. Reach here your hand, and put it into my side. Don't be unbelieving, but believing." ²⁸Thomas answered him, "My Lord and my God!" ²⁹Jesus said to him, "Because you have seen me, you have believed. Blessed are those who have not seen, and have believed." ³⁰So Jesus did many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book; ³¹but these are written, that you may believe that Jesus is the AnointedOne, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in his name.
