Numbers 16:4-17

Numbers Chapter 16

4When Moses heard it, he fell on his face: 5and he spoke to Korah and to all his group, saying, "In the morning ForeverOne will show who are his, and who is holy, and will cause him to come near to him: even him whom he shall choose he will cause to come near to him.

6Do this: take censers, Korah, and all his group; 7and put fire in them, and put incense on them before ForeverOne tomorrow: and it shall be that the man whom ForeverOne chooses, he shall be holy. You have gone too far, you sons of Levi!" 8Moses said to Korah, "Hear now, you sons of Levi!

9Is it a small thing to you, that the God of Israel has separated you from the congregation of Israel, to bring you near to himself, to do the service of the tabernacle of ForeverOne, and to stand before the congregation to minister to them; 10and that he has brought you near, and all your brothers the sons of Levi with you? and do you seek the priesthood also?

11Therefore you and all your group are gathered together against ForeverOne: and Aaron, what is he that you murmur against him?" 12Moses sent to call Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab; and they said, "We won't come up: 13is it a small thing that you have brought us up out of a land flowing with milk and honey, to kill us in the wilderness, but you must also make yourself a prince over us?

14Moreover you haven't brought us into a land flowing with milk and honey, nor given us inheritance of fields and vineyards: will you put out the eyes of these men? We won't come up." 15Moses was very angry, and said to ForeverOne, "Don't respect their offering: I have not taken one donkey from them, neither have I hurt one of them." 16Moses said to Korah, "You and all your group go before ForeverOne, you, and they, and Aaron, tomorrow: 17and each man take his censer, and put incense on them, and each man bring before ForeverOne his censer, two hundred fifty censers; you also, and Aaron, each his censer."

Jeremiah 39

Jeremiah Chapter 39

1When Jerusalem was taken, (in the ninth year of Zedekiah king of Judah, in the tenth month, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and all his army came against Jerusalem, and besieged it; 2in the eleventh year of Zedekiah, in the fourth month, the ninth day of the month, a breach was made in the city), 3that all the princes of the king of Babylon came in, and sat in the middle gate, [to wit], Nergal Sharezer, Samgarnebo, Sarsechim, Rabsaris, Nergal Sharezer, Rabmag, with all the rest of the princes of the king of Babylon.

4When Zedekiah the king of Judah and all the men of war saw them, then they fled, and went forth out of the city by night, along the road of the king's garden, through the gate between the two walls; and he went out toward the Arabah.

5But the army of the Chaldeans pursued after them, and overtook Zedekiah in the plains of Jericho: and when they had taken him, they brought him up to Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon to Riblah in the land of Hamath; and he gave judgment on him.

6Then the king of Babylon killed the sons of Zedekiah in Riblah before his eyes: also the king of Babylon killed all the nobles of Judah.

7Moreover he put out Zedekiah's eyes, and bound him in fetters, to carry him to Babylon.

8The Chaldeans burned the king's house, and the houses of the people, with fire, and broke down the walls of Jerusalem.

9Then Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive into Babylon the residue of the people who remained in the city, the deserters also who fell away to him, and the residue of the people who remained.

10But Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard left of the poor of the people, who had nothing, in the land of Judah, and gave them vineyards and fields at the same time.

11Now Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon commanded Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard concerning Jeremiah, saying, 12Take him, and look well to him, and do him no harm; but do to him even as he shall tell you.

13So Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard sent, and Nebushazban, Rabsaris, and Nergal Sharezer, Rabmag, and all the chief officers of the king of Babylon; 14they sent, and took Jeremiah out of the court of the guard, and committed him to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, that he should carry him home: so he lived among the people.

15Now the word of ForeverOne came to Jeremiah, while he was shut up in the court of the guard, saying, 16Go, and speak to Ebedmelech the Ethiopian, saying, Thus says ForeverOne of Armies, the God of Israel: Behold, I will bring my words on this city for evil, and not for good; and they shall be accomplished before you in that day.

17But I will deliver you in that day, says ForeverOne; and you shall not be given into the hand of the men of whom you are afraid.

18For I will surely save you, and you shall not fall by the sword, but your life shall be for a prey to you; because you have put your trust in me, says ForeverOne.

Psalm 105

45 verses

Psalm 105

1Give thanks to ForeverOne! Call on his name! Make his doings known among the peoples.

2Sing to him, sing praises to him! Tell of all his marvelous works.

3Glory in his holy name. Let the heart of those who seek ForeverOne rejoice.

4Seek ForeverOne and his strength. Seek his face forever more.

5Remember his marvelous works that he has done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth, 6you offspring of Abraham, his servant, you children of Jacob, his chosen ones.

7He is ForeverOne, our God. His judgments are in all the earth.

8He has remembered his covenant forever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations, 9the covenant which he made with Abraham, his oath to Isaac, 10and confirmed it to Jacob for a statute; to Israel for an everlasting covenant, 11saying, "To you I will give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance;" 12when they were but a few men in number, yes, very few, and foreigners in it.

13They went about from nation to nation, from one kingdom to another people.

14He allowed no one to do them wrong. Yes, he reproved kings for their sakes, 15"Don't touch my anointed! Do my prophets no harm!" 16He called for a famine on the land. He destroyed the food supplies.

17He sent a man before them. Joseph was sold for a slave.

18They bruised his feet with shackles. His neck was locked in irons, 19until the time that his word happened, and ForeverOne's word proved him true.

20The king sent and freed him; even the ruler of peoples, and let him go free.

21He made him lord of his house, and ruler of all of his possessions; 22to discipline his princes at his pleasure, and to teach his elders wisdom.

23Israel also came into Egypt. Jacob lived in the land of Ham.

24He increased his people greatly, and made them stronger than their adversaries.

25He turned their heart to hate his people, to conspire against his servants.

26He sent Moses, his servant, and Aaron, whom he had chosen.

27They performed miracles among them, and wonders in the land of Ham.

28He sent darkness, and made it dark. They didn't rebel against his words.

29He turned their waters into blood, and killed their fish.

30Their land swarmed with frogs, even in the rooms of their kings.

31He spoke, and swarms of flies came, and lice in all their borders.

32He gave them hail for rain, with lightning in their land.

33He struck their vines and also their fig trees, and shattered the trees of their country.

34He spoke, and the locusts came, and the grasshoppers, without number, 35ate up every plant in their land; and ate up the fruit of their ground.

36He struck also all the firstborn in their land, the first fruits of all their manhood.

37He brought them forth with silver and gold. There was not one feeble person among his tribes.

38Egypt was glad when they departed, for the fear of them had fallen on them.

39He spread a cloud for a covering, fire to give light in the night.

40They asked, and he brought quails, and satisfied them with the bread of the sky.

41He opened the rock, and waters gushed out. They ran as a river in the dry places.

42For he remembered his holy word, and Abraham, his servant.

43He brought out his people with joy, his chosen with singing.

44He gave them the lands of the nations. They took the labor of the peoples in possession, 45that they might keep his statutes, and observe his laws. Praise EverOne!

Section 4

2 Corinthians 1:23-2:17

19 verses

2 Corinthians Chapter 1

23But I call God for a witness to my soul, that I didn't come to Corinth to spare you.

24Not that we dominate your faith, but are fellow workers with you for your joy. For you stand firm in faith.

2 Corinthians Chapter 2

1But I determined this for myself, that I would not come to you again in sorrow.

2For if I make you grieve, then who will make me glad but he who is made to grieve by me?

3And I wrote this very thing to you, so that, when I came, I wouldn't have sorrow from them of whom I ought to rejoice; having confidence in you all, that my joy would be shared by all of you.

4For out of much affliction and anguish of heart I wrote to you with many tears, not that you should be made to grieve, but that you might know the love that I have so abundantly for you.

5But if any has caused sorrow, he has caused sorrow, not to me, but in part (that I not press too heavily) to you all.

6This punishment which was inflicted by the many is sufficient for such a one; 7so that on the contrary you should rather forgive him and comfort him, lest by any means such a one should be swallowed up with his excessive sorrow.

8So I beg you to confirm your love toward him.

9For to this end I also wrote, that I might know the proof of you, whether you are obedient in all things.

10Now I also forgive whomever you forgive anything. For if indeed I have forgiven anything, I have forgiven that one for your sakes in the presence of the AnointedOne, 11that no advantage may be gained over us by Satan, for we are not ignorant of his schemes.

12Now when I came to Troas for the Good News of the AnointedOne, and when a door was opened to me in the Lord, 13I had no relief for my spirit, because I didn't find Titus, my brother, but taking my leave of them, I went out into Macedonia.

14Now thanks be to God, who always leads us in triumph in the AnointedOne, and reveals through us the sweet aroma of his knowledge in every place.

15For we are a sweet aroma of the AnointedOne to God, in those who are saved and in those who perish: 16to the one a stench from death to death, to the other a sweet aroma from life to life. Who is sufficient for these things?

17For we are not as so many, peddling the word of God. But as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God, we speak in the AnointedOne.
