Leviticus 2

Leviticus Chapter 2

1"'When anyone offers an offering of a meal offering to ForeverOne, his offering shall be of fine flour; and he shall pour oil on it, and put frankincense on it.

2He shall bring it to Aaron's sons, the priests; and he shall take his handful of its fine flour, and of its oil, with all its frankincense; and the priest shall burn its memorial on the altar, an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to ForeverOne.

3What is left of the meal offering shall be Aaron's and his sons'. It is a most holy thing of the offerings of ForeverOne made by fire.

4"'When you offer an offering of a meal offering baked in the oven, it shall be unleavened cakes of fine flour mixed with oil, or unleavened wafers anointed with oil.

5If your offering is a meal offering of the griddle, it shall be of unleavened fine flour, mixed with oil.

6You shall cut it in pieces, and pour oil on it. It is a meal offering.

7If your offering is a meal offering of the pan, it shall be made of fine flour with oil.

8You shall bring the meal offering that is made of these things to ForeverOne: and it shall be presented to the priest, and he shall bring it to the altar.

9The priest shall take from the meal offering its memorial, and shall burn it on the altar, an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to ForeverOne.

10What is left of the meal offering shall be Aaron's and his sons'. It is a thing most holy of the offerings of ForeverOne made by fire.

11"'No meal offering, which you shall offer to ForeverOne, shall be made with yeast; for you shall burn no yeast, nor any honey, as an offering made by fire to ForeverOne.

12As an offering of firstfruits you shall offer them to ForeverOne: but they shall not ascend for a pleasant aroma on the altar.

13Every offering of your meal offering you shall season with salt; do not allow the salt of the covenant of your God to be lacking from your meal offering. With all your offerings you shall offer salt.

14"'If you offer a meal offering of first fruits to ForeverOne, you shall offer for the meal offering of your first fruits grain in the ear parched with fire, bruised grain of the fresh ear.

15You shall put oil on it, and lay frankincense on it: it is a meal offering.

16The priest shall burn as its memorial, part of its bruised grain, and part of its oil, along with all its frankincense: it is an offering made by fire to ForeverOne.

2 Kings 21:23-22:20

24 verses

2 Kings Chapter 21

23The servants of Amon conspired against him, and put the king to death in his own house.

24But the people of the land killed all those who had conspired against king Amon; and the people of the land made Josiah his son king in his place.

25Now the rest of the acts of Amon which he did, aren't they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

26He was buried in his tomb in the garden of Uzza: and Josiah his son reigned in his place.

2 Kings Chapter 22

1Josiah was eight years old when he began to reign; and he reigned thirty-one years in Jerusalem: and his mother's name was Jedidah the daughter of Adaiah of Bozkath.

2He did what was right in the eyes of ForeverOne, and walked in all the way of David his father, and didn't turn aside to the right hand or to the left.

3In the eighteenth year of king Josiah, the king sent Shaphan, the son of Azaliah the son of Meshullam, the scribe, to the house of ForeverOne, saying, 4"Go up to Hilkiah the high priest, that he may sum the money which is brought into the house of ForeverOne, which the keepers of the threshold have gathered of the people.

5Let them deliver it into the hand of the workmen who have the oversight of the house of ForeverOne; and let them give it to the workmen who are in the house of ForeverOne, to repair the breaches of the house, 6to the carpenters, and to the builders, and to the masons, and for buying timber and cut stone to repair the house.

7However there was no accounting made with them of the money that was delivered into their hand; for they dealt faithfully." 8Hilkiah the high priest said to Shaphan the scribe, "I have found the book of the law in the house of ForeverOne." Hilkiah delivered the book to Shaphan, and he read it.

9Shaphan the scribe came to the king, and brought the king word again, and said, "Your servants have emptied out the money that was found in the house, and have delivered it into the hand of the workmen who have the oversight of the house of ForeverOne." 10Shaphan the scribe told the king, saying, "Hilkiah the priest has delivered a book to me." Shaphan read it before the king.

11When the king had heard the words of the book of the law, he tore his clothes.

12The king commanded Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam the son of Shaphan, and Achbor the son of Micaiah, and Shaphan the scribe, and Asaiah the king's servant, saying, 13"Go inquire of ForeverOne for me, and for the people, and for all Judah, concerning the words of this book that is found; for great is the wrath of ForeverOne that is kindled against us, because our fathers have not listened to the words of this book, to do according to all what is written concerning us." 14So Hilkiah the priest, and Ahikam, and Achbor, and Shaphan, and Asaiah, went to Huldah the prophetess, the wife of Shallum the son of Tikvah, the son of Harhas, keeper of the wardrobe (now she lived in Jerusalem in the second quarter); and they talked with her.

15She said to them, "Thus says ForeverOne, the God of Israel: 'Tell the man who sent you to me, 16"Thus says ForeverOne, 'Behold, I will bring evil on this place, and on its inhabitants, even all the words of the book which the king of Judah has read.

17Because they have forsaken me, and have burned incense to other gods, that they might provoke me to anger with all the work of their hands, therefore my wrath shall be kindled against this place, and it shall not be quenched.'" 18But to the king of Judah, who sent you to inquire of ForeverOne, thus you shall tell him, "Thus says ForeverOne, the God of Israel: 'Concerning the words which you have heard, 19because your heart was tender, and you humbled yourself before ForeverOne, when you heard what I spoke against this place, and against its inhabitants, that they should become a desolation and a curse, and have torn your clothes, and wept before me; I also have heard you,' says ForeverOne.

20'Therefore, behold, I will gather you to your fathers, and you shall be gathered to your grave in peace, neither shall your eyes see all the evil which I will bring on this place.'"'" They brought back this message to the king.

Job 16:1-17:5

Job Chapter 16

1Then Job answered, 2"I have heard many such things. You are all miserable comforters!

3Shall vain words have an end? Or what provokes you to answer?

4I also could speak as you do. If your soul were in my soul's place, I could join words together against you, and shake my head at you, 5but I would strengthen you with my mouth. The solace of my lips would relieve you.

6"Though I speak, my grief is not subsided. Though I forbear, what am I eased?

7But now You have surely worn me out. You have made all my group desolate.

8You have shriveled me up. This is a witness against me. My leanness rises up against me. It testifies to my face.

9He has torn me in his wrath, and persecuted me. He has gnashed on me with his teeth. My adversary sharpens his eyes on me.

10They have gaped on me with their mouth. They have struck me on the cheek reproachfully. They gather themselves together against me.

11God delivers me to the ungodly, and casts me into the hands of the wicked.

12I was at ease, and he broke me apart. Yes, he has taken me by the neck, and dashed me to pieces. He has also set me up for his target.

13His archers surround me. He splits my kidneys apart, and does not spare. He pours out my gall on the ground.

14He breaks me with breach on breach. He runs on me like a giant.

15I have sewed sackcloth on my skin, and have thrust my horn in the dust.

16My face is red with weeping. Deep darkness is on my eyelids.

17Although there is no violence in my hands, and my prayer is pure.

18"Earth, don't cover my blood. Let my cry have no place to rest.

19Even now, behold, my witness is in heaven. He who vouches for me is on high.

20My friends scoff at me. My eyes pour out tears to God, 21that he would maintain the right of a man with God, of a son of man with his neighbor!

22For when a few years have come, I will go the way of no return.

Job Chapter 17

1"My spirit is consumed. My days are extinct, And the grave is ready for me.

2Surely there are mockers with me. My eye dwells on their provocation.

3"Now give a pledge, be collateral for me with yourself. Who is there who will strike hands with me?

4For you have hidden their heart from understanding, Therefore you shall not exalt them.

5He who denounces his friends for a prey, Even the eyes of his children shall fail.

John 19:38-20:18

23 verses

John Chapter 19

38After these things, Joseph of Arimathaea, being a disciple of Jesus, but secretly for fear of the Jews, asked of Pilate that he might take away Jesus' body. Pilate gave him permission. So he came and took away his body.

39Nicodemus, who at first came to Jesus by night, also came bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes, about a hundred Roman pounds.

40So they took Jesus' body, and bound it in linen cloths with the spices, as the custom of the Jews is to bury.

41Now in the place where he was crucified there was a garden. In the garden was a new tomb in which no man had ever yet been laid.

42Then because of the Jews' Preparation Day (for the tomb was near at hand) they laid Jesus there.

John Chapter 20

1Now on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene went early, while it was still dark, to the tomb, and saw the stone taken away from the tomb.

2So she ran and came to Simon Peter and to the other disciple whom Jesus loved, and said to them, "They have taken away the Lord out of the tomb, and we don't know where they have laid him!" 3So Peter and the other disciple went out, and they went toward the tomb.

4They both ran together. The other disciple outran Peter, and came to the tomb first.

5Stooping and looking in, he saw the linen cloths lying, yet he didn't enter in.

6Then Simon Peter came, following him, and entered into the tomb. He saw the linen cloths lying, 7and the cloth that had been on his head, not lying with the linen cloths, but rolled up in a place by itself.

8So then the other disciple who came first to the tomb also entered in, and he saw and believed.

9For as yet they didn't know the Scripture, that he must rise from the dead.

10So the disciples went away again to their own homes.

11But Mary was standing outside at the tomb weeping. So, as she wept she stooped and looked into the tomb, 12and she saw two angels in white sitting, one at the head, and one at the feet, where the body of Jesus had lain.

13They asked her, "Woman, why are you weeping?" She said to them, "Because they have taken away my Lord, and I don't know where they have laid him." 14When she had said this, she turned around and saw Jesus standing, and didn't know that it was Jesus.

15Jesus said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping? Who are you looking for?" She, supposing him to be the gardener, said to him, "Sir, if you have carried him away, tell me where you have laid him, and I will take him away." 16Jesus said to her, "Mary." She turned and said to him, "Rabboni!" which is to say, "Teacher!" 17Jesus said to her, "Don't hold me, for I haven't yet ascended to my Father; but go to my brothers and tell them, 'I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'" 18Mary Magdalene came and told the disciples that she had seen the Lord, and that he had said these things to her.
