Numbers 15:30-16:3

15 verses

Numbers Chapter 15

30"'But the soul who does anything with a high hand, whether he is native-born or a foreigner, blasphemes ForeverOne; and that soul shall be cut off from among his people.

31Because he has despised the word of ForeverOne, and has broken his commandment, that soul shall utterly be cut off; his iniquity shall be on him.'" 32While the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering sticks on the Sabbath day.

33Those who found him gathering sticks brought him to Moses and Aaron, and to all the congregation.

34They put him in custody, because it had not been declared what should be done to him.

35ForeverOne said to Moses, "The man shall surely be put to death: all the congregation shall stone him with stones outside of the camp." 36All the congregation brought him outside of the camp, and stoned him to death with stones; as ForeverOne commanded Moses.

37ForeverOne spoke to Moses, saying, 38"Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them that they should make themselves fringes in the borders of their garments throughout their generations, and that they put on the fringe of each border a cord of blue: 39and it shall be to you for a fringe, that you may look on it, and remember all the commandments of ForeverOne, and do them; and that you not follow after your own heart and your own eyes, after which you use to play the prostitute; 40that you may remember and do all my commandments, and be holy to your God.

41I am ForeverOne your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt, to be your God: I am ForeverOne your God."

Numbers Chapter 16

1Now Korah, the son of Izhar, the son of Kohath, the son of Levi, with Dathan and Abiram, the sons of Eliab, and On, the son of Peleth, sons of Reuben, took [men]: 2and they rose up before Moses, with certain of the children of Israel, two hundred fifty princes of the congregation, called to the assembly, men of renown; 3and they assembled themselves together against Moses and against Aaron, and said to them, "You take too much on yourself, since all the congregation are holy, everyone of them, and ForeverOne is among them; then why lift yourselves up above the assembly of ForeverOne?"

Jeremiah 38

Jeremiah Chapter 38

1Shephatiah the son of Mattan, and Gedaliah the son of Pashhur, and Jucal the son of Shelemiah, and Pashhur the son of Malchijah, heard the words that Jeremiah spoke to all the people, saying, 2Thus says ForeverOne, He who remains in this city shall die by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence; but he who goes forth to the Chaldeans shall live, and his life shall be to him for a prey, and he shall live.

3Thus says ForeverOne, This city shall surely be given into the hand of the army of the king of Babylon, and he shall take it.

4Then the princes said to the king, "Please let this man be put to death; because he weakens the hands of the men of war who remain in this city, and the hands of all the people, in speaking such words to them: for this man doesn't seek the welfare of this people, but the hurt." 5Zedekiah the king said, Behold, he is in your hand; for the king is not he who can do anything against you.

6Then they took Jeremiah and threw him into the dungeon of Malchijah the king's son, that was in the court of the guard. They let down Jeremiah with cords. In the dungeon there was no water, but mire; and Jeremiah sank in the mire.

7Now when Ebedmelech the Ethiopian, a eunuch, who was in the king's house, heard that they had put Jeremiah in the dungeon (the king then sitting in the gate of Benjamin), 8Ebedmelech went forth out of the king's house, and spoke to the king, saying, 9My lord the king, these men have done evil in all that they have done to Jeremiah the prophet, whom they have thrown into the dungeon; and he is likely to die in the place where he is, because of the famine; for there is no more bread in the city.

10Then the king commanded Ebedmelech the Ethiopian, saying, Take from here thirty men with you, and take up Jeremiah the prophet out of the dungeon, before he dies.

11So Ebedmelech took the men with him, and went into the house of the king under the treasury, and took there rags and worn-out garments, and let them down by cords into the dungeon to Jeremiah.

12Ebedmelech the Ethiopian said to Jeremiah, Put now these rags and worn-out garments under your armpits under the cords. Jeremiah did so.

13So they drew up Jeremiah with the cords, and took him up out of the dungeon: and Jeremiah remained in the court of the guard.

14Then Zedekiah the king sent, and took Jeremiah the prophet to him into the third entry that is in the house of ForeverOne: and the king said to Jeremiah, I will ask you something. Hide nothing from me.

15Then Jeremiah said to Zedekiah, If I declare it to you, will you not surely put me to death? and if I give you counsel, you will not listen to me.

16So Zedekiah the king swore secretly to Jeremiah, saying, As ForeverOne lives, who made us this soul, I will not put you to death, neither will I give you into the hand of these men who seek your life.

17Then Jeremiah said to Zedekiah, Thus says ForeverOne, the God of Armies, the God of Israel: If you will go forth to the king of Babylon's princes, then your soul shall live, and this city shall not be burned with fire; and you shall live, and your house.

18But if you will not go forth to the king of Babylon's princes, then shall this city be given into the hand of the Chaldeans, and they shall burn it with fire, and you shall not escape out of their hand.

19Zedekiah the king said to Jeremiah, I am afraid of the Jews who are fallen away to the Chaldeans, lest they deliver me into their hand, and they mock me.

20But Jeremiah said, They shall not deliver you. Obey, I beg you, the voice of ForeverOne, in what I speak to you: so it shall be well with you, and your soul shall live.

21But if you refuse to go forth, this is the word that ForeverOne has shown me: 22behold, all the women who are left in the king of Judah's house shall be brought to the king of Babylon's princes, and those women shall say, Your familiar friends have set you on, and have prevailed over you: [now that] your feet are sunk in the mire, they are turned away back.

23They shall bring out all your wives and your children to the Chaldeans; and you shall not escape out of their hand, but shall be taken by the hand of the king of Babylon: and you shall cause this city to be burned with fire.

24Then Zedekiah said to Jeremiah, Let no man know of these words, and you shall not die.

25But if the princes hear that I have talked with you, and they come to you, and tell you, Declare to us now what you have said to the king; don't hide it from us, and we will not put you to death; also what the king said to you: 26then you shall tell them, I presented my supplication before the king, that he would not cause me to return to Jonathan's house, to die there.

27Then came all the princes to Jeremiah, and asked him; and he told them according to all these words that the king had commanded. So they left off speaking with him; for the matter was not perceived.

28So Jeremiah stayed in the court of the guard until the day that Jerusalem was taken.

Psalm 104

35 verses

Psalm 104

1Bless ForeverOne, my soul. ForeverOne, my God, you are very great. You are clothed with honor and majesty.

2He covers himself with light as with a garment. He stretches out the heavens like a curtain.

3He lays the beams of his rooms in the waters. He makes the clouds his chariot. He walks on the wings of the wind.

4He makes his messengers winds; his servants flames of fire.

5He laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be moved forever.

6You covered it with the deep as with a cloak. The waters stood above the mountains.

7At your rebuke they fled. At the voice of your thunder they hurried away.

8The mountains rose, the valleys sank down, to the place which you had assigned to them.

9You have set a boundary that they may not pass over; that they don't turn again to cover the earth.

10He sends forth springs into the valleys. They run among the mountains.

11They give drink to every animal of the field. The wild donkeys quench their thirst.

12The birds of the sky nest by them. They sing among the branches.

13He waters the mountains from his rooms. The earth is filled with the fruit of your works.

14He causes the grass to grow for the livestock, and plants for man to cultivate, that he may produce food out of the earth: 15wine that makes glad the heart of man, oil to make his face to shine, and bread that strengthens man's heart.

16ForeverOne's trees are well watered, the cedars of Lebanon, which he has planted; 17where the birds make their nests. The stork makes its home in the fir trees.

18The high mountains are for the wild goats. The rocks are a refuge for the rock badgers.

19He appointed the moon for seasons. The sun knows when to set.

20You make darkness, and it is night, in which all the animals of the forest prowl.

21The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their food from God.

22The sun rises, and they steal away, and lay down in their dens.

23Man goes forth to his work, to his labor until the evening.

24ForeverOne, how many are your works! In wisdom you have made them all. The earth is full of your riches.

25There is the sea, great and wide, in which are innumerable living things, both small and large animals.

26There the ships go, and leviathan, whom you formed to play there.

27These all wait for you, that you may give them their food in due season.

28You give to them; they gather. You open your hand; they are satisfied with good.

29You hide your face: they are troubled; you take away their breath: they die, and return to the dust.

30You send forth your Spirit: they are created. You renew the face of the ground.

31Let the glory of ForeverOne endure forever. Let ForeverOne rejoice in his works.

32He looks at the earth, and it trembles. He touches the mountains, and they smoke.

33I will sing to ForeverOne as long as I live. I will sing praise to my God while I have any being.

34Let your meditation be sweet to him. I will rejoice in ForeverOne.

35Let sinners be consumed out of the earth. Let the wicked be no more. Bless ForeverOne, my soul. Praise EverOne!

2 Corinthians 1:1-22

22 verses

2 Corinthians Chapter 1

1Paul, an apostle of AnointedOne Jesus through the will of God, and Timothy our brother, to the assembly of God which is at Corinth, with all the saints who are in the whole of Achaia: 2Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus AnointedOne.

3Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus AnointedOne, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; 4who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God.

5For as the sufferings of the AnointedOne abound to us, even so our comfort also abounds through the AnointedOne.

6But if we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation. If we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which produces in you the patient enduring of the same sufferings which we also suffer.

7Our hope for you is steadfast, knowing that, since you are partakers of the sufferings, you also are of the comfort.

8For we don't desire to have you uninformed, brothers, concerning our affliction which happened to us in Asia, that we were weighed down exceedingly, beyond our power, so much that we despaired even of life.

9Yes, we ourselves have had the sentence of death within ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead, 10who delivered us out of so great a death, and does deliver; on whom we have set our hope that he will also still deliver us; 11you also helping together on our behalf by your supplication; that, for the gift given to us by means of many, thanks may be given by many persons on your behalf.

12For our boasting is this: the testimony of our conscience, that in holiness and sincerity of God, not in fleshly wisdom but in the grace of God we behaved ourselves in the world, and more abundantly toward you.

13For we write no other things to you than what you read or even acknowledge, and I hope you will acknowledge to the end, 14as also you acknowledged us in part, that we are your boasting, even as you also are ours, in the day of our Lord Jesus.

15In this confidence, I was determined to come first to you, that you might have a second benefit, 16and by you to pass into Macedonia, and again from Macedonia to come to you, and to be sent forward by you on my journey to Judea.

17So when I was determined in that way, did I show fickleness? Or the things that I purpose, do I purpose according to the flesh, so that with me there should be the "Yes, yes" with the "No, no"?

18But as God is faithful, our word toward you was not "Yes and no." 19For the Son of God, Jesus AnointedOne, who was preached among you by us, by me, Silvanus, and Timothy, was not "Yes and no," but in him is "Yes." 20For however many are the promises of God, in him is the "Yes." Therefore also through him is the "Amen", to the glory of God through us.

21Now he who establishes us with you in the AnointedOne and anointed us is God, 22who also sealed us, and gave us the down payment of the Spirit in our hearts.
