Numbers Chapter 2

²⁵"On the north side shall be the standard of the camp of Dan according to their divisions: and the prince of the children of Dan shall be Ahiezer the son of Ammishaddai.

²⁶His division, and those who were counted of them, were sixty-two thousand seven hundred.

²⁷"Those who encamp next to him shall be the tribe of Asher: and the prince of the children of Asher shall be Pagiel the son of Ochran.

²⁸His division, and those who were counted of them, were forty-one thousand and five hundred.

²⁹"The tribe of Naphtali: and the prince of the children of Naphtali shall be Ahira the son of Enan.

³⁰His division, and those who were counted of them, were fifty-three thousand four hundred.

³¹"All who were counted of the camp of Dan were one hundred fifty-seven thousand six hundred. They shall set out last by their standards." ³²These are those who were counted of the children of Israel by their fathers' houses. All who were counted of the camps according to their armies were six hundred three thousand five hundred fifty.

³³But the Levites were not counted among the children of Israel; as ForeverOne commanded Moses.

³⁴Thus the children of Israel did. According to all that ForeverOne commanded Moses, so they encamped by their standards, and so they set out, everyone by their families, according to their fathers' houses.

Numbers Chapter 3

¹Now this is the history of the generations of Aaron and Moses in the day that ForeverOne spoke with Moses in Mount Sinai.

²These are the names of the sons of Aaron: Nadab the firstborn, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar.

³These are the names of the sons of Aaron, the priests who were anointed, whom he consecrated to minister in the priest's office.

⁴Nadab and Abihu died before ForeverOne, when they offered strange fire before ForeverOne, in the wilderness of Sinai, and they had no children. Eleazar and Ithamar ministered in the priest's office in the presence of Aaron their father.

⁵ForeverOne spoke to Moses, saying, ⁶"Bring the tribe of Levi near, and set them before Aaron the priest, that they may minister to him.

⁷They shall keep his requirements, and the requirements of the whole congregation before the Tent of Meeting, to do the service of the tabernacle.

⁸They shall keep all the furnishings of the Tent of Meeting, and the obligations of the children of Israel, to do the service of the tabernacle.

⁹You shall give the Levites to Aaron and to his sons. They are wholly given to him on the behalf of the children of Israel.

¹⁰You shall appoint Aaron and his sons, and they shall keep their priesthood. The stranger who comes near shall be put to death."

Jeremiah Chapter 7

¹⁷Don't you see what they do in the cities of Judah and in the streets of Jerusalem?

¹⁸The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead the dough, to make cakes to the queen of the sky, and to pour out drink offerings to other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.

¹⁹Do they provoke me to anger? says ForeverOne; [do they] not [provoke] themselves, to the confusion of their own faces?

²⁰Therefore thus says LordOfMine ForeverOne: Behold, my anger and my wrath shall be poured out on this place, on man, and on animal, and on the trees of the field, and on the fruit of the ground; and it shall burn, and shall not be quenched.

²¹Thus says ForeverOne of Armies, the God of Israel: Add your burnt offerings to your sacrifices, and eat meat.

²²For I didn't speak to your fathers, nor command them in the day that I brought them out of the land of Egypt, concerning burnt offerings or sacrifices: ²³but this thing I commanded them, saying, Listen to my voice, and I will be your God, and you shall be my people; and walk in all the way that I command you, that it may be well with you.

²⁴But they didn't listen nor turn their ear, but walked in [their own] counsels [and] in the stubbornness of their evil heart, and went backward, and not forward.

²⁵Since the day that your fathers came forth out of the land of Egypt to this day, I have sent to you all my servants the prophets, daily rising up early and sending them: ²⁶yet they didn't listen to me, nor inclined their ear, but made their neck stiff: they did worse than their fathers.

²⁷You shall speak all these words to them; but they will not listen to you: you shall also call to them; but they will not answer you.

²⁸You shall tell them, This is the nation that has not listened to the voice of ForeverOne their God, nor received instruction: truth is perished, and is cut off from their mouth.

²⁹Cut off your hair, [Jerusalem], and throw it away, and take up a lamentation on the bare heights; for ForeverOne has rejected and forsaken the generation of his wrath.

³⁰For the children of Judah have done what is evil in my sight, says ForeverOne: they have set their abominations in the house which is called by my name, to defile it.

³¹They have built the high places of Topheth, which is in the valley of the son of Hinnom, to burn their sons and their daughters in the fire; which I didn't command, nor did it enter my mind.

³²Therefore, behold, the days come, says ForeverOne, that it shall no more be called Topheth, nor The valley of the son of Hinnom, but The valley of Slaughter: for they shall bury in Topheth, until there be no place [to bury].

³³The dead bodies of this people shall be food for the birds of the sky, and for the animals of the earth; and none shall frighten them away.

³⁴Then will I cause to cease from the cities of Judah, and from the streets of Jerusalem, the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride; for the land shall become a waste.

Jeremiah Chapter 8

¹At that time, says ForeverOne, they shall bring out the bones of the kings of Judah, and the bones of his princes, and the bones of the priests, and the bones of the prophets, and the bones of the inhabitants of Jerusalem, out of their graves; ²and they shall spread them before the sun, and the moon, and all the army of the sky, which they have loved, and which they have served, and after which they have walked, and which they have sought, and which they have worshiped: they shall not be gathered, nor be buried, they shall be for dung on the surface of the earth.

³Death shall be chosen rather than life by all the residue that remain of this evil family, that remain in all the places where I have driven them, says ForeverOne of Armies.

⁴Moreover you shall tell them, Thus says ForeverOne: Shall men fall, and not rise up again? Shall one turn away, and not return?

⁵Then why is this people of Jerusalem slidden back by a perpetual backsliding? they hold fast deceit, they refuse to return.

⁶I listened and heard, but they didn't speak aright: no man repents him of his wickedness, saying, What have I done? everyone turns to his course, as a horse that rushes headlong in the battle.

⁷Yes, the stork in the sky knows her appointed times; and the turtledove and the swallow and the crane observe the time of their coming; but my people don't know ForeverOne's law.

Psalm 58

For the Chief Musician. To the tune of "Do Not Destroy." A poem by David.

¹Do you indeed speak righteousness, silent ones? Do you judge blamelessly, you sons of men?

²No, in your heart you plot injustice. You measure out the violence of your hands in the earth.

³The wicked go astray from the womb. They are wayward as soon as they are born, speaking lies.

⁴Their poison is like the poison of a snake; like a deaf cobra that stops its ear, ⁵which doesn't listen to the voice of charmers, no matter how skillful the charmer may be.

⁶Break their teeth, God, in their mouth. Break out the great teeth of the young lions, ForeverOne.

⁷Let them vanish as water that flows away. When they draw the bow, let their arrows be made blunt.

⁸Let them be like a snail which melts and passes away, like the stillborn child, who has not seen the sun.

⁹Before your pots can feel the heat of the thorns, he will sweep away the green and the burning alike.

¹⁰The righteous shall rejoice when he sees the vengeance. He shall wash his feet in the blood of the wicked; ¹¹so that men shall say, "Most certainly there is a reward for the righteous. Most certainly there is a God who judges the earth."

Psalm 59

¹Deliver me from my enemies, my God. Set me on high from those who rise up against me.

²Deliver me from the workers of iniquity. Save me from the bloodthirsty men.

³For, behold, they lie in wait for my soul. The mighty gather themselves together against me, not for my disobedience, nor for my sin, ForeverOne.

⁴I have done no wrong, yet they are ready to attack me. Rise up, behold, and help me!

⁵You, ForeverOne God of Armies, the God of Israel, rouse yourself to punish the nations. Show no mercy to the wicked traitors. Selah.

⁶They return at evening, howling like dogs, and prowl around the city.

⁷Behold, they spew with their mouth. Swords are in their lips, "For," they say, "who hears us?" ⁸But you, ForeverOne, laugh at them. You scoff at all the nations.

⁹Oh, my Strength, I watch for you, for God is my high tower.

¹⁰My God will go before me with his loving kindness. God will let me look at my enemies in triumph.

¹¹Don't kill them, or my people may forget. Scatter them by your power, and bring them down, LordOfMine our shield.

¹²For the sin of their mouth, and the words of their lips, let them be caught in their pride, for the curses and lies which they utter.

¹³Consume them in wrath. Consume them, and they will be no more. Let them know that God rules in Jacob, to the ends of the earth. Selah.

¹⁴At evening let them return. Let them howl like a dog, and go around the city.

¹⁵They shall wander up and down for food, and wait all night if they aren't satisfied.

¹⁶But I will sing of your strength. Yes, I will sing aloud of your loving kindness in the morning. For you have been my high tower, a refuge in the day of my distress.

¹⁷To you, my strength, I will sing praises. For God is my high tower, the God of my mercy.

Romans Chapter 7

¹Or don't you know, brothers (for I speak to men who know the law), that the law dominates a man for as long as he lives?

²For the woman that has a husband is bound by law to the husband while he lives, but if the husband dies, she is discharged from the law of the husband.

³So then if, while the husband lives, she is joined to another man, she would be called an adulteress. But if the husband dies, she is free from the law, so that she is no adulteress, though she is joined to another man.

⁴So, my brothers, you also were made dead to the law through the body of the AnointedOne, that you would be joined to another, to him who was raised from the dead, that we might produce fruit of God.

⁵For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were through the law worked in our members to bear fruit of death.

⁶But now we have been discharged from the law, having died to that in which we were held; so that we serve in newness of the spirit, and not in oldness of the letter.

⁷What shall we say then? Is the law sin? May it never be! However, I wouldn't have known sin, except through the law. For I wouldn't have known coveting, unless the law had said, "You shall not covet." ⁸But sin, finding occasion through the commandment, produced in me all kinds of coveting. For apart from the law, sin is dead.

⁹I was alive apart from the law once, but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died.

¹⁰The commandment which was for life, this I found to be for death; ¹¹for sin, finding occasion through the commandment, deceived me, and through it killed me.

¹²So the law indeed is holy, and the commandment holy, and righteous, and good.

¹³Did then what is good become death to me? May it never be! But sin, that it might be shown to be sin, was producing death in me through what is good; that through the commandment sin might become exceedingly sinful.

¹⁴For we know that the law is spiritual, but I am fleshly, sold under sin.

¹⁵For I don't know what I am doing. For I don't practice what I desire to do; but what I hate, that I do.

¹⁶But if what I don't desire, that I do, I consent to the law that it is good.

¹⁷So now it is no more I that do it, but sin which dwells in me.

¹⁸For I know that in me, that is, in my flesh, dwells no good thing. For desire is present with me, but I don't find it doing what is good.

¹⁹For the good which I desire, I don't do; but the evil which I don't desire, that I practice.

²⁰But if what I don't desire, that I do, it is no more I that do it, but sin which dwells in me.

²¹I find then the law that, to me, while I desire to do good, evil is present.

²²For I delight in God's law after the inward person, ²³but I see a different law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity under the law of sin which is in my members.

²⁴What a wretched man I am! Who will deliver me out of the body of this death?

²⁵I thank God through Jesus AnointedOne, our Lord! So then with the mind, I myself serve God's law, but with the flesh, sin's law.
