Leviticus Chapter 1

1ForeverOne called to Moses, and spoke to him out of the Tent of Meeting, saying, 2"Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them, 'When anyone of you offers an offering to ForeverOne, you shall offer your offering of the livestock, from the herd and from the flock.

3"'If his offering is a burnt offering from the herd, he shall offer a male without blemish. He shall offer it at the door of the Tent of Meeting, that he may be accepted before ForeverOne.

4He shall lay his hand on the head of the burnt offering, and it shall be accepted for him to make atonement for him.

5He shall kill the bull before ForeverOne. Aaron's sons, the priests, shall present the blood and sprinkle the blood around on the altar that is at the door of the Tent of Meeting.

6He shall flay the burnt offering, and cut it into pieces.

7The sons of Aaron the priest shall put fire on the altar, and lay wood in order on the fire; 8and Aaron's sons, the priests, shall lay the pieces, the head, and the fat in order on the wood that is on the fire which is on the altar; 9but its innards and its legs he shall wash with water. The priest shall burn the whole on the altar, for a burnt offering, an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to ForeverOne.

10"'If his offering is from the flock, from the sheep, or from the goats, for a burnt offering, he shall offer a male without blemish.

11He shall kill it on the north side of the altar before ForeverOne. Aaron's sons, the priests, shall sprinkle its blood around on the altar.

12He shall cut it into its pieces, with its head and its fat. The priest shall lay them in order on the wood that is on the fire which is on the altar, 13but the innards and the legs he shall wash with water. The priest shall offer the whole, and burn it on the altar. It is a burnt offering, an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to ForeverOne.

14"'If his offering to ForeverOne is a burnt offering of birds, then he shall offer his offering of turtledoves, or of young pigeons.

15The priest shall bring it to the altar, and wring off its head, and burn it on the altar; and its blood shall be drained out on the side of the altar; 16and he shall take away its crop and its feathers, and throw it beside the altar on the east side, in the place of the ashes.

17He shall tear it by its wings, but shall not divide it apart. The priest shall burn it on the altar, on the wood that is on the fire. It is a burnt offering, an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to ForeverOne.

2 Kings 20:18-21:22

26 verses

2 Kings Chapter 20

18'Of your sons who shall issue from you, whom you shall father, shall they take away; and they shall be eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.'" 19Then Hezekiah said to Isaiah, "The word of ForeverOne which you have spoken is good." He said moreover, "Isn't it so, if peace and truth shall be in my days?" 20Now the rest of the acts of Hezekiah, and all his might, and how he made the pool, and the conduit, and brought water into the city, aren't they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

21Hezekiah slept with his fathers; and Manasseh his son reigned in his place.

2 Kings Chapter 21

1Manasseh was twelve years old when he began to reign; and he reigned fifty-five years in Jerusalem: and his mother's name was MyDelightIsInHer.

2He did what was evil in the sight of ForeverOne, after the abominations of the nations whom ForeverOne threw out before the children of Israel.

3For he built again the high places which Hezekiah his father had destroyed; and he reared up altars for Baal, and made an Asherah, just like Ahab king of Israel had, and worshiped all the army of the sky, and served them.

4He built altars in the house of ForeverOne, of which ForeverOne said, "I will put my name in Jerusalem." 5He built altars for all the army of the sky in the two courts of the house of ForeverOne.

6He made his son to pass through the fire, and practiced sorcery, and used enchantments, and dealt with those who had familiar spirits, and with wizards: he worked much evil in the sight of ForeverOne, to provoke him to anger.

7He set the engraved image of Asherah, that he had made, in the house of which ForeverOne said to David and to Solomon his son, "In this house, and in Jerusalem, which I have chosen out of all the tribes of Israel, will I put my name forever; 8neither will I cause the feet of Israel to wander any more out of the land which I gave their fathers, if only they will observe to do according to all that I have commanded them, and according to all the law that my servant Moses commanded them." 9But they didn't listen: and Manasseh seduced them to do what is evil more than the nations did whom ForeverOne destroyed before the children of Israel.

10ForeverOne spoke by his servants the prophets, saying, 11"Because Manasseh king of Judah has done these abominations, and has done wickedly above all that the Amorites did, who were before him, and has made Judah also to sin with his idols; 12therefore thus says ForeverOne, the God of Israel, 'Behold, I bring such evil on Jerusalem and Judah, that whoever hears of it, both his ears shall tingle.

13I will stretch over Jerusalem the line of Samaria, and the plummet of the house of Ahab; and I will wipe Jerusalem as a man wipes a dish, wiping it and turning it upside down.

14I will reject the remnant of my inheritance, and deliver them into the hand of their enemies. They will become a prey and a spoil to all their enemies; 15because they have done what is evil in my sight, and have provoked me to anger, since the day their fathers came here out of Egypt, even to this day.'" 16Moreover Manasseh shed innocent blood very much, until he had filled Jerusalem from one end to another; besides his sin with which he made Judah to sin, in doing what was evil in the sight of ForeverOne.

17Now the rest of the acts of Manasseh, and all that he did, and his sin that he sinned, aren't they written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah?

18Manasseh slept with his fathers, and was buried in the garden of his own house, in the garden of Uzza: and Amon his son reigned in his place.

19Amon was twenty-two years old when he began to reign; and he reigned two years in Jerusalem: and his mother's name was Meshullemeth the daughter of Haruz of Jotbah.

20He did what was evil in the sight of ForeverOne, just like Manasseh his father had.

21He walked in all the way that his father walked in, and served the idols that his father served, and worshiped them: 22and he forsook ForeverOne, the God of his fathers, and didn't walk in the way of ForeverOne.

Job 15:12-35

24 verses

Job Chapter 15

12Why does your heart carry you away? Why do your eyes flash, 13That you turn your spirit against God, and let such words go out of your mouth?

14What is man, that he should be clean? What is he who is born of a woman, that he should be righteous?

15Behold, he puts no trust in his holy ones. Yes, the heavens are not clean in his sight; 16how much less one who is abominable and corrupt, a man who drinks iniquity like water!

17"I will show you, listen to me; what I have seen I will declare: 18(Which wise men have told by their fathers, and have not hidden it; 19to whom alone the land was given, and no stranger passed among them): 20the wicked man writhes in pain all his days, even the number of years that are laid up for the oppressor.

21A sound of terrors is in his ears. In prosperity the destroyer shall come on him.

22He doesn't believe that he shall return out of darkness. He is waited for by the sword.

23He wanders abroad for bread, saying, 'Where is it?' He knows that the day of darkness is ready at his hand.

24Distress and anguish make him afraid. They prevail against him, as a king ready to the battle.

25Because he has stretched out his hand against God, and behaves himself proudly against the Almighty; 26he runs at him with a stiff neck, with the thick shields of his bucklers; 27because he has covered his face with his abundance, and gathered fat on his thighs.

28He has lived in desolate cities, in houses which no one inhabited, which were ready to become heaps.

29He shall not be rich, neither shall his substance continue, neither shall their possessions be extended on the earth.

30He shall not depart out of darkness. The flame shall dry up his branches. By the breath of His mouth he shall go away.

31Let him not trust in emptiness, deceiving himself; for emptiness shall be his reward.

32It shall be accomplished before his time. His branch shall not be green.

33He shall shake off his unripe grape as the vine, and shall reject his flower as the olive tree.

34For the group of the godless shall be barren, and fire shall consume the tents of bribery.

35They conceive mischief, and produce iniquity. Their heart prepares deceit."

Section 4

John 19:19-37

19 verses

John Chapter 19

19Pilate wrote a title also, and put it on the cross. There was written, "JESUS OF NAZARETH, THE KING OF THE JEWS." 20So many of the Jews read this title, for the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city; and it was written in Hebrew, in Latin, and in Greek.

21The chief priests of the Jews therefore said to Pilate, "Don't write, 'The King of the Jews,' but, 'he said, "I am King of the Jews."'" 22Pilate answered, "What I have written, I have written." 23Then the soldiers, when they had crucified Jesus, took his garments and made four parts, to every soldier a part; and also the tunic. Now the tunic was without seam, woven from the top throughout.

24Then they said to one another, "Let's not tear it, but cast lots for it to decide whose it will be," that the Scripture might be fulfilled, which says, "They parted my garments among them. They cast lots for my clothing." So the soldiers did these things.

25But standing by Jesus' cross were his mother, his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Magdalene.

26So when Jesus saw his mother, and the disciple whom he loved standing there, he said to his mother, "Woman, behold your son!" 27Then he said to the disciple, "Behold, your mother!" From that hour, the disciple took her to his own home.

28After this, Jesus, seeing that all things were now finished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, "I am thirsty." 29Now a vessel full of vinegar was set there; so they put a sponge full of the vinegar on hyssop, and held it at his mouth.

30So when Jesus had received the vinegar, he said, "It is finished." Then he bowed his head, and gave up his spirit.

31Therefore the Jews, because it was the Preparation Day, so that the bodies wouldn't remain on the cross on the Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a special one), asked of Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away.

32So the soldiers came, and broke the legs of the first, and of the other who was crucified with him; 33but when they came to Jesus, and saw that he was already dead, they didn't break his legs.

34However one of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out.

35He who has seen has testified, and his testimony is true. He knows that he tells the truth, that you may believe.

36For these things happened that the Scripture might be fulfilled, "A bone of him will not be broken." 37Again another Scripture says, "They will look on him whom they pierced."
