Deuteronomy Chapter 8

¹You shall observe to do all the commandment which I command you today, that you may live, and multiply, and go in and possess the land which ForeverOne swore to your fathers.

²You shall remember all the way which ForeverOne your God has led you these forty years in the wilderness, that he might humble you, to prove you, to know what was in your heart, whether you would keep his commandments, or not.

³He humbled you, and allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna, which you didn't know, neither did your fathers know; that he might make you know that man does not live by bread only, but by everything that proceeds out of the mouth of ForeverOne does man live.

⁴Your clothing didn't grow old on you, neither did your foot swell, these forty years.

⁵You shall consider in your heart that as a man chastens his son, so ForeverOne your God chastens you.

⁶You shall keep the commandments of ForeverOne your God, to walk in his ways, and to fear him.

⁷For ForeverOne your God brings you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of springs, and underground water flowing into valleys and hills; ⁸a land of wheat and barley, and vines and fig trees and pomegranates; a land of olive trees and honey; ⁹a land in which you shall eat bread without scarceness, you shall not lack anything in it; a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills you may dig copper.

¹⁰You shall eat and be full, and you shall bless ForeverOne your God for the good land which he has given you.

¹¹Beware lest you forget ForeverOne your God, in not keeping his commandments, and his ordinances, and his statutes, which I command you today: ¹²lest, when you have eaten and are full, and have built goodly houses, and lived there; ¹³and when your herds and your flocks multiply, and your silver and your gold is multiplied, and all that you have is multiplied; ¹⁴then your heart be lifted up, and you forget ForeverOne your God, who brought you here out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery; ¹⁵who led you through the great and terrible wilderness, [in which were] fiery serpents and scorpions, and thirsty ground where there was no water; who brought water out of the rock of flint for you; ¹⁶who fed you in the wilderness with manna, which your fathers didn't know; that he might humble you, and that he might prove you, to do you good at your latter end: ¹⁷and [lest] you say in your heart, "My power and the might of my hand has obtained me this wealth." ¹⁸But you shall remember ForeverOne your God, for it is he who gives you power to get wealth; that he may establish his covenant which he swore to your fathers, as it is today.

¹⁹It shall be, if you shall forget ForeverOne your God, and walk after other gods, and serve them, and worship them, I testify against you today that you shall surely perish.

²⁰As the nations that ForeverOne makes to perish before you, so you shall perish; because you wouldn't listen to the voice of ForeverOne your God.

Ezekiel Chapter 43

¹Afterward he brought me to the gate, even the gate that looks toward the east.

²Behold, the glory of the God of Israel came from the way of the east: and his voice was like the sound of many waters; and the earth shined with his glory.

³It was according to the appearance of the vision which I saw, even according to the vision that I saw when I came to destroy the city; and the visions were like the vision that I saw by the river Chebar; and I fell on my face.

⁴The glory of ForeverOne came into the house by the way of the gate whose prospect is toward the east.

⁵The Spirit took me up, and brought me into the inner court; and behold, the glory of ForeverOne filled the house.

⁶I heard one speaking to me out of the house; and a man stood by me.

⁷He said to me, Son of man, [this is] the place of my throne, and the place of the soles of my feet, where I will dwell in the midst of the children of Israel forever. The house of Israel shall no more defile my holy name, neither they, nor their kings, by their prostitution, and by the dead bodies of their kings [in] their high places; ⁸in their setting of their threshold by my threshold, and their doorpost beside my doorpost, and there was [but] the wall between me and them; and they have defiled my holy name by their abominations which they have committed: therefore I have consumed them in my anger.

⁹Now let them put away their prostitution, and the dead bodies of their kings, far from me; and I will dwell in the midst of them forever.

¹⁰You, son of man, show the house to the house of Israel, that they may be ashamed of their iniquities; and let them measure the pattern.

¹¹If they be ashamed of all that they have done, make known to them the form of the house, and its fashion, and its exits, and its entrances, and all its forms, and all its ordinances, and all its forms, and all its laws; and write it in their sight; that they may keep the whole form of it, and all its ordinances, and do them.

¹²This is the law of the house: on the top of the mountain the whole limit around it shall be most holy. Behold, this is the law of the house.

¹³These are the measures of the altar by cubits (the cubit is a cubit and a handbreadth): the bottom shall be a cubit, and the width a cubit, and its border around its edge a span; and this shall be the base of the altar.

¹⁴From the bottom on the ground to the lower ledge shall be two cubits, and the width one cubit; and from the lesser ledge to the greater ledge shall be four cubits, and the width a cubit.

¹⁵The upper altar shall be four cubits; and from the altar hearth and upward there shall be four horns.

¹⁶The altar hearth shall be twelve [cubits] long by twelve wide, four square sides.

¹⁷The ledge shall be fourteen [cubits] long by fourteen wide in the four sides of it; and the border about it shall be half a cubit; and its bottom shall be a cubit around; and its steps shall look toward the east.

¹⁸He said to me, "Son of man, LordOfMine ForeverOne says: 'These are the ordinances of the altar in the day when they make it, to offer burnt offerings on it, and to sprinkle blood on it.

¹⁹You shall give to the priests the Levites who are of the offspring of Zadok, who are near to me, to minister to me, says LordOfMine ForeverOne, a young bull for a sin offering.

²⁰You shall take of its blood, and put it on the four horns of it, and on the four corners of the ledge, and on the border all around: thus you shall cleanse it and make atonement for it.

²¹You shall also take the bull of the sin offering, and it shall be burned in the appointed place of the house, outside of the sanctuary.

Proverbs Chapter 30

¹⁰"Don't slander a servant to his master, lest he curse you, and you be held guilty.

¹¹There is a generation that curses their father, and doesn't bless their mother.

¹²There is a generation that is pure in their own eyes, yet are not washed from their filthiness.

¹³There is a generation, oh how lofty are their eyes! Their eyelids are lifted up.

¹⁴There is a generation whose teeth are like swords, and their jaws like knives, to devour the poor from the earth, and the needy from among men.

¹⁵"The leach has two daughters: 'Give, give.' "There are three things that are never satisfied; four that don't say, 'Enough:' ¹⁶Sheol, the barren womb; the earth that is not satisfied with water; and the fire that doesn't say, 'Enough.' ¹⁷"The eye that mocks at his father, and scorns obedience to his mother: the ravens of the valley shall pick it out, the young eagles shall eat it.

¹⁸"There are three things which are too amazing for me, four which I don't understand: ¹⁹The way of an eagle in the air; the way of a serpent on a rock; the way of a ship in the midst of the sea; and the way of a man with a maiden.

²⁰"So is the way of an adulterous woman: she eats and wipes her mouth, and says, 'I have done nothing wrong.' ²¹"For three things the earth tremble, and under four, it can't bear up: ²²For a servant when he is king; a fool when he is filled with food; ²³for an unloved woman when she is married; and a handmaid who is heir to her mistress.

²⁴"There are four things which are little on the earth, but they are exceedingly wise: ²⁵the ants are not a strong people, yet they provide their food in the summer.

²⁶The conies are but a feeble folk, yet make they their houses in the rocks.

²⁷The locusts have no king, yet they advance in ranks.

²⁸You can catch a lizard with your hands, yet it is in kings' palaces.

²⁹"There are three things which are stately in their march, four which are stately in going: ³⁰The lion, which is mightiest among animals, and doesn't turn away for any; ³¹the greyhound, the male goat also; and the king against whom there is no rising up.

³²"If you have done foolishly in lifting up yourself, or if you have thought evil, put your hand over your mouth.

³³For as the churning of milk produces butter, and the wringing of the nose produces blood; so the forcing of wrath produces strife."

Hebrews Chapter 11

⁸By faith, Abraham, when he was called, obeyed to go out to the place which he was to receive for an inheritance. He went out, not knowing where he went.

⁹By faith, he lived as an alien in the land of promise, as in a land not his own, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise.

¹⁰For he looked for the city which has the foundations, whose builder and maker is God.

¹¹By faith, even Sarah herself received power to conceive, and she bore a child when she was past age, since she counted him faithful who had promised.

¹²Therefore as many as the stars of the sky in multitude, and as innumerable as the sand which is by the sea shore, were fathered by one man, and him as good as dead.

¹³These all died in faith, not having received the promises, but having seen them and embraced them from afar, and having confessed that they were strangers and pilgrims on the earth.

¹⁴For those who say such things make it clear that they are seeking a country of their own.

¹⁵If indeed they had been thinking of that country from which they went out, they would have had enough time to return.

¹⁶But now they desire a better country, that is, a heavenly one. So God is not ashamed of them, to be called their God, for he has prepared a city for them.

¹⁷By faith, Abraham, being tested, offered up Isaac. Yes, he who had gladly received the promises was offering up his one and only son, ¹⁸to whom it was said, "Your offspring will be accounted as from Isaac," ¹⁹concluding that God is able to raise up even from the dead. Figuratively speaking, he also did receive him back from the dead.

²⁰By faith, Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau, even concerning things to come.

²¹By faith, Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of the sons of Joseph, and worshiped, leaning on the top of his staff.

²²By faith, Joseph, when his end was near, made mention of the departure of the children of Israel, and gave instructions concerning his bones.

²³By faith, Moses, when he was born, was hidden for three months by his parents, because they saw that he was a beautiful child, and they were not afraid of the king's commandment.

²⁴By faith, Moses, when he had grown up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter, ²⁵choosing rather to share ill treatment with God's people than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a time, ²⁶considering the reproach of the AnointedOne greater riches than the treasures of Egypt; for he looked to the reward.

²⁷By faith, he left Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king; for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.
