Leviticus 15:16-27

12 verses

Leviticus Chapter 15

16"'If any man has an emission of semen, then he shall bathe all his flesh in water, and be unclean until the evening.

17Every garment, and every skin, where the semen is, shall be washed with water, and be unclean until the evening.

18If a man lies with a woman and there is an emission of semen, they shall both bathe themselves in water, and be unclean until the evening.

19"'If a woman has a discharge, and her discharge in her flesh is blood, she shall be in her impurity seven days: and whoever touches her shall be unclean until the evening.

20"'Everything that she lies on in her impurity shall be unclean. Everything also that she sits on shall be unclean.

21Whoever touches her bed shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the evening.

22Whoever touches anything that she sits on shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the evening.

23If it is on the bed, or on anything she sits on, when he touches it, he shall be unclean until the evening.

24"'If any man lies with her, and her monthly flow is on him, he shall be unclean seven days; and every bed he lies on shall be unclean.

25"'If a woman has a discharge of her blood many days not in the time of her period, or if she has a discharge beyond the time of her period; all the days of the discharge of her uncleanness shall be as in the days of her period: she is unclean.

26All the days of her discharge, every bed she lies on shall be to her as the bed of her period, and everything she sits on shall be unclean, as the uncleanness of her period.

27Whoever touches these things shall be unclean, and shall wash his clothes, and bathe himself in water, and be unclean until the evening.

Isaiah 33:20-34:17

22 verses

Isaiah Chapter 33

20Look at Zion, the city of our appointed festivals. Your eyes will see Jerusalem, a quiet habitation, a tent that won't be removed. Its stakes will never be plucked up, nor will any of its cords be broken.

21But there ForeverOne will be with us in majesty, a place of broad rivers and streams, in which no galley with oars will go, neither will any gallant ship pass by there.

22For ForeverOne is our judge. ForeverOne is our lawgiver. ForeverOne is our king. He will save us.

23Your rigging is untied. They couldn't strengthen the foot of their mast. They couldn't spread the sail. Then the prey of a great spoil was divided. The lame took the prey.

24The inhabitant won't say, "I am sick." The people who dwell there will be forgiven their iniquity.

Isaiah Chapter 34

1Come near, you nations, to hear! Listen, you peoples. Let the earth and all it contains hear; the world, and everything that comes from it.

2For ForeverOne is enraged against all the nations, and angry with all their armies. He has utterly destroyed them. He has given them over for slaughter.

3Their slain will also be thrown out, and the stench of their dead bodies will come up; and the mountains will melt in their blood.

4All of the army of the sky will be dissolved. The sky will be rolled up like a scroll, and all its armies will fade away, as a leaf fades from off a vine or a fig tree.

5For my sword has drunk its fill in the sky. Behold, it will come down on Edom, and on the people of my curse, for judgment.

6ForeverOne's sword is filled with blood. It is covered with fat, with the blood of lambs and goats, with the fat of the kidneys of rams; for ForeverOne has a sacrifice in Bozrah, And a great slaughter in the land of Edom.

7The wild oxen will come down with them, and the young bulls with the mighty bulls; and their land will be drunken with blood, and their dust made greasy with fat.

8For ForeverOne has a day of vengeance, a year of recompense for the cause of Zion.

9Its streams will be turned into pitch, its dust into sulfur, And its land will become burning pitch.

10It won't be quenched night nor day. Its smoke will go up forever. From generation to generation, it will lie waste. No one will pass through it forever and ever.

11But the pelican and the porcupine will possess it. The owl and the raven will dwell in it. He will stretch the line of confusion over it, and the plumb line of emptiness.

12They shall call its nobles to the kingdom, but none shall be there; and all its princes shall be nothing.

13Thorns will come up in its palaces, nettles and thistles in its fortresses; and it will be a habitation of jackals, a court for ostriches.

14The wild animals of the desert will meet with the wolves, and the wild goat will cry to his fellow. Yes, the night creature shall settle there, and shall find herself a place of rest.

15The arrow snake will make her nest there, and lay, hatch, and gather under her shade. Yes, the kites will be gathered there, every one with her mate.

16Search in the book of ForeverOne, and read: not one of these will be missing. none will lack her mate. For my mouth has commanded, and his Spirit has gathered them.

17He has cast the lot for them, and his hand has divided it to them with a measuring line. They shall possess it forever. From generation to generation they will dwell in it.

Psalm 8-9

31 verses

Psalm 8

For the Chief Musician; on an instrument of Gath. A Psalm by David.

1ForeverOne, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth, who has set your glory above the heavens!

2From the lips of babes and infants you have established strength, because of your adversaries, that you might silence the enemy and the avenger.

3When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have ordained; 4what is man, that you think of him? What is the son of man, that you care for him?

5For you have made him a little lower than God, and crowned him with glory and honor.

6You make him ruler over the works of your hands. You have put all things under his feet: 7All sheep and cattle, yes, and the animals of the field, 8The birds of the sky, the fish of the sea, and whatever passes through the paths of the seas.

9ForeverOne, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!

Psalm 9

For the Chief Musician. Set to "The Death of the Son." A Psalm by David.

1I will give thanks to ForeverOne with my whole heart. I will tell of all your marvelous works.

2I will be glad and rejoice in you. I will sing praise to your name, O Most High.

3When my enemies turn back, they stumble and perish in your presence.

4For you have maintained my just cause. You sit on the throne judging righteously.

5You have rebuked the nations. You have destroyed the wicked. You have blotted out their name forever and ever.

6The enemy is overtaken by endless ruin. The very memory of the cities which you have overthrown has perished.

7But ForeverOne reigns forever. He has prepared his throne for judgment.

8He will judge the world in righteousness. He will administer judgment to the peoples in uprightness.

9ForeverOne will also be a high tower for the oppressed; a high tower in times of trouble.

10Those who know your name will put their trust in you, for you, ForeverOne, have not forsaken those who seek you.

11Sing praises to ForeverOne, who dwells in Zion, and declare among the people what he has done.

12For he who avenges blood remembers them. He doesn't forget the cry of the afflicted.

13Have mercy on me, ForeverOne. See my affliction by those who hate me, and lift me up from the gates of death; 14that I may declare all your praise. In the gates of the daughter of Zion, I will rejoice in your salvation.

15The nations have sunk down in the pit that they made. In the net which they hid, their own foot is taken.

16ForeverOne has made himself known. He has executed judgment. The wicked is snared by the work of his own hands. Meditation. Selah.

17The wicked shall be turned back to Sheol, even all the nations that forget God.

18For the needy shall not always be forgotten, nor the hope of the poor perish forever.

19Arise, ForeverOne! Don't let man prevail. Let the nations be judged in your sight.

20Put them in fear, ForeverOne. Let the nations know that they are only men. Selah.

Section 4

Acts 15:1-21

21 verses

Acts Chapter 15

1Some men came down from Judea and taught the brothers, "Unless you are circumcised after the custom of Moses, you can't be saved." 2So when Paul and Barnabas had no small discord and discussion with them, they appointed Paul and Barnabas, and some others of them, to go up to Jerusalem to the apostles and elders about this question.

3They, being sent on their way by the assembly, passed through both Phoenicia and Samaria, declaring the conversion of the Gentiles. They caused great joy to all the brothers.

4When they had come to Jerusalem, they were received by the assembly and the apostles and the elders, and they reported everything that God had done with them.

5But some of the sect of the Pharisees who believed rose up, saying, "It is necessary to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses." 6The apostles and the elders were gathered together to see about this matter.

7When there had been much discussion, Peter rose up and said to them, "Brothers, you know that a good while ago God made a choice among you that by my mouth the nations should hear the word of the Good News and believe.

8God, who knows the heart, testified about them, giving them the Holy Spirit, just like he did to us.

9He made no distinction between us and them, cleansing their hearts by faith.

10So now why do you tempt God, that you should put a yoke on the neck of the disciples which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?

11But we believe that we are saved through the grace of the Lord Jesus, just as they are." 12All the multitude kept silence, and they listened to Barnabas and Paul reporting what signs and wonders God had done among the nations through them.

13After they were silent, James answered, "Brothers, listen to me.

14Simeon has reported how God first visited the nations to take out of them a people for his name.

15This agrees with the words of the prophets. As it is written, 16'After these things I will return. I will again build the tabernacle of David, which has fallen. I will again build its ruins. I will set it up, 17That the rest of men may seek after ForeverOne; All the Gentiles who are called by my name, Says ForeverOne, who does all these things 18known from eternity.' 19So my judgment is that we don't trouble those from among the Gentiles who turn to God, 20but that we write to them that they abstain from the pollution of idols, from sexual immorality, from what is strangled, and from blood.

21For Moses from generations of old has in every city those who preach him, being read in the synagogues every Sabbath."
