Numbers Chapter 14

⁴⁰They rose up early in the morning, and went up to the top of the mountain, saying, "Behold, we are here, and will go up to the place which ForeverOne has promised: for we have sinned." ⁴¹Moses said, "Why now do you disobey the commandment of ForeverOne, since it shall not prosper?

⁴²Don't go up, for ForeverOne isn't among you; that you not be struck down before your enemies.

⁴³For there the Amalekite and the Canaanite are before you, and you shall fall by the sword: because you are turned back from following ForeverOne, therefore ForeverOne will not be with you." ⁴⁴But they presumed to go up to the top of the mountain: nevertheless the ark of the covenant of ForeverOne, and Moses, didn't depart out of the camp.

⁴⁵Then the Amalekite came down, and the Canaanite who lived in that mountain, and struck them and beat them down, even to Hormah.

Numbers Chapter 15

¹ForeverOne spoke to Moses, saying, ²"Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them, 'When you have entered the land of your habitations, which I give to you, ³and will make an offering by fire to ForeverOne, a burnt offering, or a sacrifice, to accomplish a vow, or as a freewill offering, or in your set feasts, to make a pleasant aroma to ForeverOne, of the herd, or of the flock; ⁴then he who offers his offering shall offer to ForeverOne a meal offering of a tenth part [of an ephah] of fine flour mixed with the fourth part of a hin of oil: ⁵and wine for the drink offering, the fourth part of a hin, you shall prepare with the burnt offering, or for the sacrifice, for each lamb.

⁶"'Or for a ram, you shall prepare for a meal offering two tenth parts [of an ephah] of fine flour mixed with the third part of a hin of oil: ⁷and for the drink offering you shall offer the third part of a hin of wine, of a pleasant aroma to ForeverOne.

⁸When you prepare a bull for a burnt offering, or for a sacrifice, to accomplish a vow, or for peace offerings to ForeverOne; ⁹then he shall offer with the bull a meal offering of three tenth parts [of an ephah] of fine flour mixed with half a hin of oil: ¹⁰and you shall offer for the drink offering half a hin of wine, for an offering made by fire, of a pleasant aroma to ForeverOne.

¹¹Thus shall it be done for each bull, or for each ram, or for each of the male lambs, or of the young goats.

¹²According to the number that you shall prepare, so you shall do to everyone according to their number.

Jeremiah Chapter 36

⁹Now in the fifth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah, in the ninth month, all the people in Jerusalem, and all the people who came from the cities of Judah to Jerusalem, proclaimed a fast before ForeverOne.

¹⁰Then read Baruch in the book the words of Jeremiah in the house of ForeverOne, in the room of Gemariah the son of Shaphan, the scribe, in the upper court, at the entry of the new gate of ForeverOne's house, in the ears of all the people.

¹¹When Micaiah the son of Gemariah, the son of Shaphan, had heard out of the book all the words of ForeverOne, ¹²he went down into the king's house, into the scribe's room: and behold, all the princes were sitting there, [to wit], Elishama the scribe, and Delaiah the son of Shemaiah, and Elnathan the son of Achbor, and Gemariah the son of Shaphan, and Zedekiah the son of Hananiah, and all the princes.

¹³Then Micaiah declared to them all the words that he had heard, when Baruch read the book in the ears of the people.

¹⁴Therefore all the princes sent Jehudi the son of Nethaniah, the son of Shelemiah, the son of Cushi, to Baruch, saying, Take in your hand the scroll in which you have read in the ears of the people, and come. So Baruch the son of Neriah took the scroll in his hand, and came to them.

¹⁵They said to him, Sit down now, and read it in our ears. So Baruch read it in their ears.

¹⁶Now when they had heard all the words, they turned in fear one toward another, and said to Baruch, We will surely tell the king of all these words.

¹⁷They asked Baruch, saying, Tell us now, How did you write all these words at his mouth?

¹⁸Then Baruch answered them, He pronounced all these words to me with his mouth, and I wrote them with ink in the book.

¹⁹Then the princes said to Baruch, Go, hide, you and Jeremiah; and let no man know where you are.

²⁰They went in to the king into the court; but they had laid up the scroll in the room of Elishama the scribe; and they told all the words in the ears of the king.

²¹So the king sent Jehudi to get the scroll; and he took it out of the room of Elishama the scribe. Jehudi read it in the ears of the king, and in the ears of all the princes who stood beside the king.

²²Now the king was sitting in the winter house in the ninth month: and [there was a fire in] the brazier burning before him.

²³When Jehudi had read three or four leaves, he cut it with the scribe's knife, and threw it into the fire that was in the brazier, until the whole scroll was consumed in the fire that was in the brazier.

²⁴They were not afraid, nor tore their garments, neither the king, nor any of his servants who heard all these words.

²⁵Moreover Elnathan and Delaiah and Gemariah had made intercession to the king that he would not burn the scroll; but he would not hear them.

²⁶The king commanded Jerahmeel the king's son, and Seraiah the son of Azriel, and Shelemiah the son of Abdeel, to take Baruch the scribe and Jeremiah the prophet; but ForeverOne hid them.

²⁷Then the word of ForeverOne came to Jeremiah, after that the king had burned the scroll, and the words which Baruch wrote at the mouth of Jeremiah, saying, ²⁸Take again another scroll, and write in it all the former words that were in the first scroll, which Jehoiakim the king of Judah has burned.

²⁹Concerning Jehoiakim king of Judah you shall say, Thus says ForeverOne: You have burned this scroll, saying, Why have you written in it, saying, The king of Babylon shall certainly come and destroy this land, and shall cause to cease from there man and animal?

³⁰Therefore thus says ForeverOne concerning Jehoiakim king of Judah: He will have no one to sit on David's throne; and his dead body shall be thrown out in the day to the heat, and in the night to the frost.

³¹I will punish him and his offspring and his servants for their iniquity; and I will bring on them, and on the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and on the men of Judah, all the evil that I have pronounced against them, but they didn't listen.

³²Then took Jeremiah another scroll, and gave it to Baruch the scribe, the son of Neriah, who wrote in it from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the book which Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the fire; and there were added besides to them many like words.

Psalm 102

A Prayer of the afflicted, when he is overwhelmed and pours out his complaint before ForeverOne.

¹Hear my prayer, ForeverOne! Let my cry come to you.

²Don't hide your face from me in the day of my distress. Turn your ear to me. Answer me quickly in the day when I call.

³For my days consume away like smoke. My bones are burned as a torch.

⁴My heart is blighted like grass, and withered, for I forget to eat my bread.

⁵By reason of the voice of my groaning, my bones stick to my skin.

⁶I am like a pelican of the wilderness. I have become as an owl of the waste places.

⁷I watch, and have become like a sparrow that is alone on the housetop.

⁸My enemies reproach me all day. Those who are mad at me use my name as a curse.

⁹For I have eaten ashes like bread, and mixed my drink with tears, ¹⁰Because of your indignation and your wrath, for you have taken me up, and thrown me away.

¹¹My days are like a long shadow. I have withered like grass.

¹²But you, ForeverOne, will remain forever; your renown endures to all generations.

¹³You will arise and have mercy on Zion; for it is time to have pity on her. Yes, the set time has come.

¹⁴For your servants take pleasure in her stones, and have pity on her dust.

¹⁵So the nations will fear the name of ForeverOne; all the kings of the earth your glory.

¹⁶For ForeverOne has built up Zion. He has appeared in his glory.

¹⁷He has responded to the prayer of the destitute, and has not despised their prayer.

¹⁸This will be written for the generation to come. A people which will be created will praise EverOne.

¹⁹For he has looked down from the height of his sanctuary. From heaven, ForeverOne saw the earth; ²⁰to hear the groans of the prisoner; to free those who are condemned to death; ²¹that men may declare the name of ForeverOne in Zion, and his praise in Jerusalem; ²²when the peoples are gathered together, the kingdoms, to serve ForeverOne.

²³He weakened my strength along the course. He shortened my days.

²⁴I said, "My God, don't take me away in the midst of my days. Your years are throughout all generations.

²⁵Of old, you laid the foundation of the earth. The heavens are the work of your hands.

²⁶They will perish, but you will endure. Yes, all of them will wear out like a garment. You will change them like a cloak, and they will be changed.

²⁷But you are the same. Your years will have no end.

²⁸The children of your servants will continue. Their offspring will be established before you."

1 Corinthians Chapter 15

³⁵But someone will say, "How are the dead raised?" and, "With what kind of body do they come?" ³⁶You foolish one, what you yourself sow is not made alive unless it dies.

³⁷What you sow, you don't sow the body that will be, but a bare grain, maybe of wheat, or of some other kind.

³⁸But God gives it a body even as it pleased him, and to each seed a body of its own.

³⁹All flesh is not the same flesh, but there is one flesh of men, another flesh of animals, another of fish, and another of birds.

⁴⁰There are also celestial bodies and terrestrial bodies; but the glory of the celestial differs from that of the terrestrial.

⁴¹There is one glory of the sun, another glory of the moon, and another glory of the stars; for one star differs from another star in glory.

⁴²So also is the resurrection of the dead. The body is sown perishable; it is raised imperishable.

⁴³It is sown in dishonor; it is raised in glory. It is sown in weakness; it is raised in power.

⁴⁴It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body and there is also a spiritual body.

⁴⁵So also it is written, "The first man, Adam, became a living soul." The last Adam became a life-giving spirit.

⁴⁶However what is spiritual isn't first, but what is natural, then what is spiritual.

⁴⁷The first man is of the earth, made of dust. The second man is the Lord from heaven.

⁴⁸As is the one made of dust, such are those who are also made of dust; and as is the heavenly, such are they also that are heavenly.

⁴⁹As we have borne the image of those made of dust, let's also bear the image of the heavenly.

⁵⁰Now I say this, brothers, that flesh and blood can't inherit God's Kingdom; neither does corruption inherit incorruption.

⁵¹Behold, I tell you a mystery. We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, ⁵²in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound and the dead will be raised permanent, and we will be changed.

⁵³For this temporary must be clothed in permanency, and this mortal must put on immortality.

⁵⁴But this temporary will have put on permanency, and this mortal will have put on immortality, then what is written will happen: "Death is swallowed up in victory." ⁵⁵"Death, where is your sting? Hades, where is your victory?" ⁵⁶The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.

⁵⁷But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus AnointedOne.

⁵⁸So, my dear brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the Lord's work, because you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.
