Numbers Chapter 1

⁴⁷But the Levites after the tribe of their fathers were not counted among them.

⁴⁸For ForeverOne spoke to Moses, saying, ⁴⁹"Don't number or take a census of the tribe of Levi among the children of Israel; ⁵⁰but appoint the Levites over the Tabernacle of the Testimony, and over all its furnishings, and over all that belongs to it. They shall carry the tabernacle, and all its furnishings; and they shall take care of it, and shall encamp around it.

⁵¹When the tabernacle is to move, the Levites shall take it down; and when the tabernacle is to be set up, the Levites shall set it up. The stranger who comes near shall be put to death.

⁵²The children of Israel shall pitch their tents, every man by his own camp, and every man by his own standard, according to their divisions.

⁵³But the Levites shall encamp around the Tabernacle of the Testimony, that there may be no wrath on the congregation of the children of Israel: and the Levites shall be responsible for the Tabernacle of the Testimony." ⁵⁴Thus the children of Israel did. According to all that ForeverOne commanded Moses, so they did.

Numbers Chapter 2

¹ForeverOne spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying, ²"The children of Israel shall encamp every man by his own standard, with the banners of their fathers' houses: at a distance from the Tent of Meeting shall they encamp around it." ³Those who encamp on the east side toward the sunrise shall be of the standard of the camp of Judah, according to their divisions: and the prince of the children of Judah shall be Nahshon the son of Amminadab.

⁴His division, and those who were counted of them, were seventy-four thousand six hundred.

⁵Those who encamp next to him shall be the tribe of Issachar: and the prince of the children of Issachar shall be Nethanel the son of Zuar.

⁶His division, and those who were counted of it, were fifty-four thousand four hundred.

⁷The tribe of Zebulun: and the prince of the children of Zebulun shall be Eliab the son of Helon.

⁸His division, and those who were counted of it, were fifty-seven thousand four hundred.

⁹All who were counted of the camp of Judah were one hundred eighty-six thousand four hundred, according to their divisions. They shall set out first.

Jeremiah Chapter 5

¹⁹When you say, 'Why has ForeverOne our God done all these things to us?' Then you shall say to them, 'Just like you have forsaken me, and served foreign gods in your land, so you shall serve strangers in a land that is not yours.' ²⁰"Declare this in the house of Jacob, and publish it in Judah, saying, ²¹'Hear now this, foolish people, and without understanding; who have eyes, and don't see; who have ears, and don't hear: ²²Don't you fear me?' says ForeverOne 'Won't you tremble at my presence, who have placed the sand for the bound of the sea, by a perpetual decree, that it can't pass it? and though its waves toss themselves, yet they can't prevail; though they roar, yet they can't pass over it.' ²³"But this people has a revolting and a rebellious heart; they have revolted and gone.

²⁴Neither do they say in their heart, 'Let us now fear ForeverOne our God, who gives rain, both the former and the latter, in its season; who preserves to us the appointed weeks of the harvest.' ²⁵"Your iniquities have turned away these things, and your sins have withheld good from you.

²⁶For among my people are found wicked men. They watch, as fowlers lie in wait. They set a trap. They catch men.

²⁷As a cage is full of birds, so are their houses full of deceit. Therefore they have become great, and grew rich.

²⁸They have grown fat. They shine; yes, they excell in deeds of wickedness. They don't plead the cause, the cause of the fatherless, that they may prosper; and they don't judge the right of the needy.

²⁹"Shall I not punish for these things?" says ForeverOne. "Shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this?

³⁰"An astonishing and horrible thing has happened in the land.

³¹The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests rule by their own authority; and my people love to have it so. What will you do in the end of it?

Jeremiah Chapter 6

¹"Flee for safety, you children of Benjamin, out of the midst of Jerusalem, and blow the trumpet in Tekoa, and raise up a signal on Beth Haccherem; for evil looks forth from the north, and a great destruction.

²The comely and delicate one, the daughter of Zion, will I cut off.

³Shepherds with their flocks shall come to her; they shall pitch their tents against her all around; they shall feed everyone in his place." ⁴"Prepare war against her; arise, and let us go up at noon. Woe to us! For the day declines, for the shadows of the evening are stretched out.

⁵Arise, and let us go up by night, and let us destroy her palaces." ⁶For ForeverOne of Armies said, "Cut down trees, and build a siege ramp against Jerusalem: this is the city to be visited; she is wholly oppression in the midst of her.

⁷As a well casts forth its waters, so she casts forth her wickedness: violence and destruction is heard in her; before me continually is sickness and wounds.

⁸Be instructed, Jerusalem, lest my soul be alienated from you; lest I make you a desolation, a land not inhabited." ⁹Thus says ForeverOne of Armies, "They shall thoroughly glean the remnant of Israel like a vine. Turn again your hand as a grape gatherer into the baskets." ¹⁰To whom shall I speak and testify, that they may hear? Behold, their ear is uncircumcised, and they can't listen. Behold, the word of ForeverOne has become a reproach to them. They have no delight in it.

¹¹Therefore I am full of the wrath of ForeverOne. I am weary with holding in. "Pour it out on the children in the street, and on the assembly of young men together; for even the husband with the wife shall be taken, the aged with him who is full of days.

¹²Their houses shall be turned to others, their fields and their wives together; for I will stretch out my hand on the inhabitants of the land, says ForeverOne." ¹³"For from the least of them even to the greatest of them, everyone is given to covetousness; and from the prophet even to the priest, everyone deals falsely.

¹⁴They have healed also the hurt of my people superficially, saying, 'Peace, peace!' when there is no peace.

¹⁵Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? No, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush. Therefore they shall fall among those who fall; at the time that I visit them, they shall be thrown down," says ForeverOne.

¹⁶Thus says ForeverOne, "Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, 'Where is the good way?' and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls. But they said, 'We will not walk in it.' ¹⁷I set watchmen over you, saying, 'Listen to the sound of the trumpet!' But they said, 'We will not listen!'

Psalm 55

For the Chief Musician. On stringed instruments. A contemplation by David.

¹Listen to my prayer, God. Don't hide yourself from my supplication.

²Attend to me, and answer me. I am restless in my complaint, and moan, ³Because of the voice of the enemy, Because of the oppression of the wicked. For they bring suffering on me. In anger they hold a grudge against me.

⁴My heart is severely pained within me. The terrors of death have fallen on me.

⁵Fearfulness and trembling have come on me. Horror has overwhelmed me.

⁶I said, "Oh that I had wings like a dove! Then I would fly away, and be at rest.

⁷Behold, then I would wander far off. I would lodge in the wilderness." Selah.

⁸"I would hurry to a shelter from the stormy wind and storm." ⁹Confuse them, LordOfMine, and confound their language, for I have seen violence and strife in the city.

¹⁰Day and night they prowl around on its walls. Malice and abuse are also within her.

¹¹Destructive forces are within her. Threats and lies don't depart from her streets.

¹²For it was not an enemy who insulted me, then I could have endured it. Neither was it he who hated me who raised himself up against me, then I would have hidden myself from him.

¹³But it was you, a man like me, my companion, and my familiar friend.

¹⁴We took sweet fellowship together. We walked in God's house with company.

¹⁵Let death come suddenly on them. Let them go down alive into Sheol. For wickedness is in their dwelling, in the midst of them.

¹⁶As for me, I will call on God. ForeverOne will save me.

¹⁷Evening, morning, and at noon, I will cry out in distress. He will hear my voice.

¹⁸He has redeemed my soul in peace from the battle that was against me, although there are many who oppose me.

¹⁹God, who is enthroned forever, will hear, and answer them. Selah. They never change, who don't fear God.

²⁰He raises his hands against his friends. He has violated his covenant.

²¹His mouth was smooth as butter, but his heart was war. His words were softer than oil, yet they were drawn swords.

²²Throw your burden on ForeverOne, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved.

²³But you, God, will bring them down into the pit of destruction. Bloodthirsty and deceitful men shall not live out half their days, but I will trust in you.

Romans Chapter 5

¹So being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus AnointedOne; ²through whom we also have our access by faith into this grace in which we stand. We rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

³Not only this, but we also rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces perseverance; ⁴and perseverance, proven character; and proven character, hope: ⁵and hope doesn't disappoint us, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.

⁶For while we were yet weak, at the right time the AnointedOne died for the ungodly.

⁷For one will hardly die for a righteous man. Yet perhaps for a good person someone would even dare to die.

⁸But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, the AnointedOne died for us.

⁹Much more then, being now justified by his blood, we will be saved from God's wrath through him.

¹⁰For if while we were enemies, we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, much more, being reconciled, we will be saved by his life.

¹¹Not only so, but we also rejoice in God through our Lord Jesus AnointedOne, through whom we have now received the reconciliation.

¹²Therefore as sin entered into the world through one man, and death through sin; so death passed to all men, because all sinned.

¹³For until the law, sin was in the world; but sin is not charged when there is no law.

¹⁴Nevertheless death reigned from Adam until Moses, even over those whose sins weren't like Adam's disobedience, who is a foreshadowing of him who was to come.

¹⁵But the free gift isn't like the trespass. For if by the trespass of the one the many died, much more did the grace of God, and the gift by the grace of the one man, Jesus AnointedOne, abound to the many.

¹⁶The gift is not as through one who sinned; for the judgment came by one to condemnation, but the free gift came of many trespasses to justification.

¹⁷For if by the trespass of the one, death reigned through the one; so much more will those who receive the abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness reign in life through the one, Jesus AnointedOne.

¹⁸So then as through one trespass, all men were condemned; even so through one act of righteousness, all men were justified to life.

¹⁹For as through the one man's disobedience many were made sinners, even so through the obedience of the one, many will be made righteous.

²⁰The law came in that the trespass might abound; but where sin abounded, grace abounded more exceedingly; ²¹that as sin reigned in death, even so grace might reign through righteousness to eternal life through Jesus AnointedOne our Lord.
