Genesis Chapter 9

⁸God spoke to Noah and to his sons with him, saying, ⁹As for me, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your offspring after you, ¹⁰and with every living creature that is with you: the birds, the livestock, and every animal of the earth with you, of all that go out of the vessel, even every animal of the earth.

¹¹I will establish my covenant with you: all flesh will not be cut off any more by the waters of the flood. There will never again be a flood to destroy the earth." ¹²God said, "This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations: ¹³I set my rainbow in the cloud, and it will be a sign of a covenant between me and the earth.

¹⁴When I bring a cloud over the earth, the rainbow will be seen in the cloud, ¹⁵and I will remember my covenant, which is between me and you and every living creature of all flesh, and the waters will no more become a flood to destroy all flesh.

¹⁶The rainbow will be in the cloud. I will look at it, that I may remember the everlasting covenant between God and every living creature of all flesh that is on the earth." ¹⁷God said to Noah, "This is the token of the covenant which I have established between me and all flesh that is on the earth." ¹⁸The sons of Noah who went out from the vessel were Shem, Ham, and Japheth. Ham is the father of Canaan.

¹⁹These three were the sons of Noah, and from these the whole earth was populated.

²⁰Noah began to be a farmer, and planted a vineyard.

²¹He drank of the wine and got drunk. He was uncovered within his tent.

²²Ham, the father of Canaan, saw the nakedness of his father, and told his two brothers outside.

²³Shem and Japheth took a garment, and laid it on both their shoulders, went in backwards, and covered the nakedness of their father. Their faces were backwards, and they didn't see their father's nakedness.

²⁴Noah awoke from his wine, and knew what his youngest son had done to him.

²⁵He said, "Canaan is cursed. He will be servant of servants to his brothers." ²⁶He said, "Blessed be ForeverOne, the God of Shem. Let Canaan be his servant.

²⁷May God enlarge Japheth. Let him dwell in the tents of Shem. Let Canaan be his servant." ²⁸Noah lived three hundred fifty years after the flood.

²⁹All the days of Noah were nine hundred fifty years, and then he died.

Joshua Chapter 12

⁷These are the kings of the land whom Joshua and the children of Israel struck beyond the Jordan westward, from Baal Gad in the valley of Lebanon even to Mount Halak, that goes up to Seir. Joshua gave it to the tribes of Israel for a possession according to their divisions; ⁸in the hill country, and in the lowland, and in the Arabah, and in the slopes, and in the wilderness, and in the South; the Hittite, the Amorite, and the Canaanite, the Perizzite, the Hivite, and the Jebusite: ⁹the king of Jericho, one; the king of Ai, which is beside Bethel, one; ¹⁰the king of Jerusalem, one; the king of Hebron, one; ¹¹the king of Jarmuth, one; the king of Lachish, one; ¹²the king of Eglon, one; the king of Gezer, one; ¹³the king of Debir, one; the king of Geder, one; ¹⁴the king of Hormah, one; the king of Arad, one; ¹⁵the king of Libnah, one; the king of Adullam, one; ¹⁶the king of Makkedah, one; the king of Bethel, one; ¹⁷the king of Tappuah, one; the king of Hepher, one; ¹⁸the king of Aphek, one; the king of Lassharon, one; ¹⁹the king of Madon, one; the king of Hazor, one; ²⁰the king of Shimron Meron, one; the king of Achshaph, one; ²¹the king of Taanach, one; the king of Megiddo, one; ²²the king of Kedesh, one; the king of Jokneam in Carmel, one; ²³the king of Dor in the height of Dor, one; the king of Goiim in Gilgal, one; ²⁴the king of Tirzah, one: all the kings thirty-one.

Joshua Chapter 13

¹Now Joshua was old and well advanced in years. ForeverOne said to him, "You are old and advanced in years, and there remains yet very much land to be possessed.

²"This is the land that still remains: all the regions of the Philistines, and all the Geshurites; ³from the Shihor, which is before Egypt, even to the border of Ekron northward, which is counted as Canaanite; the five lords of the Philistines; the Gazites, and the Ashdodites, the Ashkelonites, the Gittites, and the Ekronites; also the Avvim, ⁴on the south; all the land of the Canaanites, and Mearah that belongs to the Sidonians, to Aphek, to the border of the Amorites; ⁵and the land of the Gebalites, and all Lebanon, toward the sunrise, from Baal Gad under Mount Hermon to the entrance of Hamath; ⁶all the inhabitants of the hill country from Lebanon to Misrephoth Maim, even all the Sidonians; them will I drive out from before the children of Israel: only allocate it to Israel for an inheritance, as I have commanded you.

⁷Now therefore divide this land for an inheritance to the nine tribes and the half-tribe of Manasseh." ⁸With him the Reubenites and the Gadites received their inheritance, which Moses gave them, beyond the Jordan eastward, even as Moses the servant of ForeverOne gave them: ⁹from Aroer, that is on the edge of the valley of the Arnon, and the city that is in the middle of the valley, and all the plain of Medeba to Dibon; ¹⁰and all the cities of Sihon king of the Amorites, who reigned in Heshbon, to the border of the children of Ammon; ¹¹and Gilead, and the border of the Geshurites and Maacathites, and all Mount Hermon, and all Bashan to Salecah; ¹²all the kingdom of Og in Bashan, who reigned in Ashtaroth and in Edrei (which was left of the remnant of the Rephaim); for Moses attacked these, and drove them out.

¹³Nevertheless the children of Israel didn't drive out the Geshurites, nor the Maacathites: but Geshur and Maacath dwell in the midst of Israel to this day.

¹⁴Only he gave no inheritance to the tribe of Levi. The offerings of ForeverOne, the God of Israel, made by fire are his inheritance, as he spoke to him.

1 Chronicles Chapter 5

⁴The sons of Joel were Shemaiah his son, Gog his son, Shimei his son, ⁵Micah his son, Reaiah his son, Baal his son, ⁶Beerah his son, whom Tilgath Pilneser king of Assyria carried away captive: he was prince of the Reubenites.

⁷His brothers by their families, when the genealogy of their generations was reckoned were the chief, Jeiel, and Zechariah, ⁸and Bela the son of Azaz, the son of Shema, the son of Joel, who lived in Aroer, even to Nebo and Baal Meon: ⁹and eastward he lived even to the entrance of the wilderness from the river Euphrates, because their livestock were multiplied in the land of Gilead.

¹⁰In the days of Saul, they made war with the Hagrites, who fell by their hand; and they lived in their tents throughout all the [land] east of Gilead.

¹¹The sons of Gad lived opposite them, in the land of Bashan to Salecah: ¹²Joel the chief, and Shapham the second, and Janai, and Shaphat in Bashan.

¹³Their brothers of their fathers' houses were Michael, Meshullam, Sheba, Jorai, Jacan, Zia and Eber, seven [in all].

¹⁴These were the sons of Abihail, the son of Huri, the son of Jaroah, the son of Gilead, the son of Michael, the son of Jeshishai, the son of Jahdo, the son of Buz; ¹⁵Ahi the son of Abdiel, the son of Guni, chief of their fathers' houses.

¹⁶They lived in Gilead in Bashan, and in its towns, and in all the suburbs of Sharon, as far as their borders.

¹⁷All these were reckoned by genealogies in the days of Jotham king of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam king of Israel.

¹⁸The sons of Reuben, and the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh, of valiant men, men able to bear buckler and sword, and to shoot with bow, and skillful in war, were forty-four thousand seven hundred and sixty, that were able to go out to war.

¹⁹They made war with the Hagrites, with Jetur, and Naphish, and Nodab.

²⁰They were helped against them, and the Hagrites were delivered into their hand, and all who were with them; for they cried to God in the battle, and he was entreated of them, because they put their trust in him.

²¹They took away their livestock; of their camels fifty thousand, and of sheep two hundred fifty thousand, and of donkeys two thousand, and of men one hundred thousand.

²²For there fell many slain, because the war was of God. They lived in their place until the captivity.

Matthew Chapter 9

³²As they went out, behold, a mute man who was demon possessed was brought to him.

³³When the demon was cast out, the mute man spoke. The multitudes marveled, saying, "Nothing like this has ever been seen in Israel!" ³⁴But the Pharisees said, "By the prince of the demons, he casts out demons." ³⁵Jesus went about all the cities and the villages, teaching in their synagogues and preaching the Good News of the Kingdom, and healing every disease and every sickness among the people.

³⁶But when he saw the multitudes, he was moved with compassion for them because they were harassed and scattered, like sheep without a shepherd.

³⁷Then he said to his disciples, "The harvest indeed is plentiful, but the laborers are few.

³⁸So pray that the Lord of the harvest will send out laborers into his harvest."

Matthew Chapter 10

¹He called to himself his twelve disciples, and gave them authority over unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal every disease and every sickness.

²Now the names of the twelve apostles are these. The first, Simon, called Peter; Andrew, his brother; James the son of Zebedee; John, his brother; ³Philip; Bartholomew; Thomas; Matthew the tax collector; James the son of Alphaeus; Lebbaeus, called Thaddaeus; ⁴Simon the Zealot; and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed him.

⁵Jesus sent these twelve out and commanded them, saying, "Don't go among the Gentiles, and don't enter into any city of the Samaritans.

⁶Rather, go to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

⁷As you go, preach, saying, 'The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand!' ⁸Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, and cast out demons. Freely you received, so freely give.

⁹Don't take any gold, silver, or brass in your money belts.

¹⁰Take no bag for your journey, neither two tunics, nor sandals, nor staff: for the laborer is worthy of his food.

¹¹Into whatever city or village you enter, find out who in it is worthy, and stay there until you go on.

¹²As you enter into the household, greet it.

¹³If the household is worthy, let your peace come on it, but if it isn't worthy, let your peace return to you.

¹⁴Whoever doesn't receive you or hear your words, as you go out of that house or that city, shake the dust off your feet.

¹⁵Most certainly I tell you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city.
