Leviticus 14:39-57

19 verses

Leviticus Chapter 14

39The priest shall return on the seventh day, and look. If the plague has spread in the walls of the house, 40then the priest shall command that they take out the stones in which is the plague, and throw them into an unclean place outside of the city: 41and he shall cause the inside of the house to be scraped all over, and they shall pour out the mortar, that they scraped off, outside of the city into an unclean place.

42They shall take other stones, and put them in the place of those stones; and he shall take other mortar, and shall plaster the house.

43"If the plague comes again, and breaks out in the house, after he has taken out the stones, and after he has scraped the house, and after it was plastered; 44then the priest shall enter and look; and behold, if the plague has spread in the house, it is a destructive mildew in the house. It is unclean.

45He shall break down the house, its stones, and its timber, and all the house's mortar. He shall carry them out of the city into an unclean place.

46"Moreover he who goes into the house while it is shut up shall be unclean until the evening.

47He who lies down in the house shall wash his clothes; and he who eats in the house shall wash his clothes.

48"If the priest shall enter, and examine it, and behold, the plague hasn't spread in the house, after the house was plastered, then the priest shall pronounce the house clean, because the plague is healed.

49To cleanse the house he shall take two birds, and cedar wood, and scarlet, and hyssop.

50He shall kill one of the birds in an earthen vessel over running water.

51He shall take the cedar wood, and the hyssop, and the scarlet, and the living bird, and dip them in the blood of the slain bird, and in the running water, and sprinkle the house seven times.

52He shall cleanse the house with the blood of the bird, and with the running water, with the living bird, with the cedar wood, with the hyssop, and with the scarlet; 53but he shall let the living bird go out of the city into the open field. So he will make atonement for the house; and it shall be clean." 54This is the law for any plague of leprosy, and for an itch, 55and for the destructive mildew of a garment, and for a house, 56and for a rising, and for a scab, and for a bright spot; 57to teach when it is unclean, and when it is clean. This is the law of leprosy.

Isaiah 30:27-32:8

24 verses

Isaiah Chapter 30

27Behold, the name of ForeverOne comes from far away, burning with his anger, and in thick rising smoke. His lips are full of indignation, and his tongue is as a devouring fire.

28His breath is as an overflowing stream that reaches even to the neck, to sift the nations with the sieve of destruction; and a bridle that leads to ruin will be in the jaws of the peoples.

29You will have a song, as in the night when a holy feast is kept; and gladness of heart, as when one goes with a flute to come to ForeverOne's mountain, to Israel's Rock.

30ForeverOne will cause his glorious voice to be heard, and will show the descent of his arm, with the indignation of his anger, and the flame of a devouring fire, with a blast, storm, and hailstones.

31For through the voice of ForeverOne the Assyrian will be dismayed. He will strike him with his rod.

32Every stroke of the rod of punishment, which ForeverOne will lay on him, will be with the sound of tambourines and harps. He will fight with them in battles, brandishing weapons.

33For his burning place has long been ready. Yes, for the king it is prepared. He has made its pyre deep and large with fire and much wood. ForeverOne's breath, like a stream of sulfur, kindles it.

Isaiah Chapter 31

1Woe to those who go down to Egypt for help, and rely on horses, and trust in chariots because they are many, and in horsemen because they are very strong, but they don't look to the Holy One of Israel, and they don't seek ForeverOne!

2Yet he also is wise, and will bring disaster, and will not call back his words, but will arise against the house of the evildoers, and against the help of those who work iniquity.

3Now the Egyptians are men, and not God; and their horses flesh, and not spirit. When ForeverOne stretches out his hand, both he who helps shall stumble, and he who is helped shall fall, and they all shall be consumed together.

4For thus says ForeverOne to me, "As the lion and the young lion growling over his prey, if a multitude of shepherds is called together against him, will not be dismayed at their voice, nor abase himself for the noise of them, so ForeverOne of Armies will come down to fight on Mount Zion and on its heights.

5As birds hovering, so ForeverOne of Armies will protect Jerusalem. He will protect and deliver it. He will pass over and preserve it." 6Return to him from whom you have deeply revolted, children of Israel.

7For in that day everyone shall throw away his idols of silver and his idols of gold - sin which your own hands have made for you.

8"The Assyrian will fall by the sword, not of man; and the sword, not of mankind, shall devour him. He will flee from the sword, and his young men will become subject to forced labor.

9His rock will pass away by reason of terror, and his princes will be afraid of the banner," says ForeverOne, whose fire is in Zion, and his furnace in Jerusalem.

Isaiah Chapter 32

1Behold, a king shall reign in righteousness, and princes shall rule in justice.

2A man shall be as a hiding place from the wind, and a covert from the storm, as streams of water in a dry place, as the shade of a large rock in a weary land.

3The eyes of those who see will not be dim, and the ears of those who hear will listen.

4The heart of the rash will understand knowledge, and the tongue of the stammerers will be ready to speak plainly.

5The fool will no longer be called noble, nor the scoundrel be highly respected.

6For the fool will speak folly, and his heart will work iniquity, to practice profanity, and to utter error against ForeverOne, To make empty the soul of the hungry, and to cause the drink of the thirsty to fail.

7The ways of the scoundrel are evil. He devises wicked devices to destroy the humble with lying words, even when the needy speaks right.

8But the noble devises noble things; and he will continue in noble things.

Section 3

Psalm 4-5

22 verses

Psalm 4

For the Chief Musician; on stringed instruments. A Psalm by David.

1Answer me when I call, God of my righteousness. Give me relief from my distress. Have mercy on me, and hear my prayer.

2You sons of men, how long shall my glory be turned into dishonor? Will you love vanity, and seek after falsehood? Selah.

3But know that ForeverOne has set apart for himself him who is godly: ForeverOne will hear when I call to him.

4Stand in awe, and don't sin. Search your own heart on your bed, and be still. Selah.

5Offer the sacrifices of righteousness. Put your trust in ForeverOne.

6Many say, "Who will show us any good?" ForeverOne, let the light of your face shine on us.

7You have put gladness in my heart, more than when their grain and their new wine are increased.

8In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, ForeverOne alone, make me live in safety.

Psalm 5

For the Chief Musician, with the flutes. A Psalm by David.

1Give ear to my words, ForeverOne. Consider my meditation.

2Listen to the voice of my cry, my King and my God; for to you do I pray.

3ForeverOne, in the morning you shall hear my voice. In the morning I will lay my requests before you, and will watch expectantly.

4For you are not a God who has pleasure in wickedness. Evil can't live with you.

5The arrogant shall not stand in your sight. You hate all workers of iniquity.

6You will destroy those who speak lies. ForeverOne abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful man.

7But as for me, in the abundance of your loving kindness I will enter your house. I will bow toward your holy temple in reverence of you.

8Lead me, ForeverOne, in your righteousness because of my enemies. Make your way straight before my face.

9For there is no faithfulness in their mouth. Their heart is destruction. Their throat is an open tomb. They flatter with their tongue.

10Hold them guilty, God. Let them fall by their own counsels; Thrust them out in the multitude of their transgressions, for they have rebelled against you.

11But let all those who take refuge in you rejoice, Let them always shout for joy, because you defend them. Let them also who love your name be joyful in you.

12For you will bless the righteous. ForeverOne, you will surround him with favor as with a shield.

Section 4

Acts 13:38-52

15 verses

Acts Chapter 13

38Be it known to you therefore, brothers, that through this man is proclaimed to you remission of sins, 39and by him everyone who believes is justified from all things, from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.

40So beware, lest what is spoken in the prophets come on you: 41'Behold, you scoffers, and wonder, and perish; for I work a work in your days, a work which you will in no way believe, if one declares it to you.'" 42So when the Jews went out of the synagogue, the Gentiles begged that these words might be preached to them the next Sabbath.

43Now when the synagogue broke up, many of the Jews and of the devout proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas; who, speaking to them, urged them to continue in the grace of God.

44The next Sabbath, almost the whole city was gathered together to hear the word of God.

45But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with jealousy, and contradicted the things which were spoken by Paul, and blasphemed.

46Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly, and said, "It was necessary that God's word should be spoken to you first. Since indeed you thrust it from yourselves, and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we turn to the Gentiles.

47For so has ForeverOne commanded us, saying, 'I have set you as a light for the Gentiles, that you should bring salvation to the uttermost parts of the earth.'" 48As the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of God. As many as were appointed to eternal life believed.

49The Lord's word was spread abroad throughout all the region.

50But the Jews stirred up the devout and prominent women and the chief men of the city, and stirred up a persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and threw them out of their borders.

51But they shook off the dust of their feet against them, and came to Iconium.

52The disciples were filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.
