Deuteronomy Chapter 6

¹⁰When ForeverOne your God brings you into the land which he swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give you, great and goodly cities, which you didn't build, ¹¹and houses full of all good things, which you didn't fill, and cisterns dug out, which you didn't dig, vineyards and olive trees, which you didn't plant, and you shall eat and be full; ¹²then beware lest you forget ForeverOne, who brought you here out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of slavery.

¹³You shall fear ForeverOne your God; and you shall serve him, and shall swear by his name.

¹⁴You shall not go after other gods, of the gods of the peoples who are around you; ¹⁵for ForeverOne your God in the midst of you is a jealous God; lest the anger of ForeverOne your God be kindled against you, and he destroy you from off the face of the earth.

¹⁶You shall not tempt ForeverOne your God, as you tempted him in Massah.

¹⁷You shall diligently keep the commandments of ForeverOne your God, and his testimonies, and his statutes, which he has commanded you.

¹⁸You shall do what is right and good in the sight of ForeverOne; that it may be well with you, and that you may go in and possess the good land which ForeverOne swore to your fathers, ¹⁹to thrust out all your enemies from before you, as ForeverOne has spoken.

²⁰When your son asks you in time to come, saying, "What do the testimonies, the statutes, and the ordinances, which ForeverOne our God has commanded you mean?" ²¹then you shall tell your son, "We were Pharaoh's bondservants in Egypt: and ForeverOne brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand; ²²and ForeverOne showed great and awesome signs and wonders on Egypt, on Pharaoh, and on all his house, before our eyes; ²³and he brought us out from there, that he might bring us in, to give us the land which he swore to our fathers.

²⁴ForeverOne commanded us to do all these statutes, to fear ForeverOne our God, for our good always, that he might preserve us alive, as it is today.

²⁵It shall be righteousness to us, if we observe to do all this commandment before ForeverOne our God, as he has commanded us."

Ezekiel Chapter 40

²⁰The gate of the outer court whose prospect is toward the north, he measured its length and its width.

²¹The lodges of it were three on this side and three on that side; and its posts and its arches were after the measure of the first gate: its length was fifty cubits, and the width twenty-five cubits.

²²The windows of it, and its arches, and the palm trees of it, were after the measure of the gate whose prospect is toward the east; and they went up to it by seven steps; and its arches were before them.

²³There was a gate to the inner court over against the [other] gate, [both] on the north and on the east; and he measured from gate to gate one hundred cubits.

²⁴He led me toward the south; and behold, a gate toward the south: and he measured its posts and its arches according to these measures.

²⁵There were windows in it and in its arches all around, like those windows: the length was fifty cubits, and the width twenty-five cubits.

²⁶There were seven steps to go up to it, and its arches were before them; and it had palm trees, one on this side, and another on that side, on its posts.

²⁷There was a gate to the inner court toward the south: and he measured from gate to gate toward the south a hundred cubits.

²⁸Then he brought me to the inner court by the south gate: and he measured the south gate according to these measures; ²⁹and its lodges, and its posts, and its arches, according to these measures: and there were windows in it and in its arches all around; it was fifty cubits long, and twenty-five cubits wide.

³⁰There were arches all around, twenty-five cubits long, and five cubits wide.

³¹The arches of it were toward the outer court; and palm trees were on its posts: and the ascent to it had eight steps.

³²He brought me into the inner court toward the east: and he measured the gate according to these measures; ³³and its lodges, and its posts, and its arches, according to these measures: and there were windows in it and in its arches all around; it was fifty cubits long, and twenty-five cubits wide.

³⁴The arches of it were toward the outer court; and palm trees were on its posts, on this side, and on that side: and the ascent to it had eight steps.

³⁵He brought me to the north gate: and he measured [it] according to these measures; ³⁶its lodges, its posts, and its arches: and there were windows in it all around; the length was fifty cubits, and the width twenty-five cubits.

³⁷The posts of it were toward the outer court; and palm trees were on its posts, on this side, and on that side: and the ascent to it had eight steps.

³⁸A room with its door was by the posts at the gates; there they washed the burnt offering.

³⁹In the porch of the gate were two tables on one side and two tables on the other, [where] the burnt offering, the sin offering and the trespass offering [are to be] killed.

⁴⁰On the [one] side outside, as one goes up to the entry of the gate toward the north, were two tables; and on the other side, which belonged to the porch of the gate, were two tables.

⁴¹Four tables were on this side, and four tables on that side, by the side of the gate; eight tables, whereupon they killed [the sacrifices].

⁴²There were four tables for the burnt offering, of cut stone, a cubit and a half long, and a cubit and a half wide, and one cubit high; whereupon they laid the instruments with which they killed the burnt offering and the sacrifice.

⁴³The hooks, a handbreadth long, were fastened within all around: and on the tables was the flesh of the offering.

Proverbs Chapter 27

¹⁴He who blesses his neighbor with a loud voice early in the morning, it will be taken as a curse by him.

¹⁵A continual dropping on a rainy day and a contentious wife are alike: ¹⁶restraining her is like restraining the wind, or like grasping oil in his right hand.

¹⁷Iron sharpens iron; so a man sharpens his friend's countenance.

¹⁸Whoever tends the fig tree shall eat its fruit. He who looks after his master shall be honored.

¹⁹As water reflects a face, so a man's heart reflects the man.

²⁰Sheol and Abaddon are never satisfied; and a man's eyes are never satisfied.

²¹The crucible is for silver, and the furnace for gold; but man is refined by his praise.

²²Though you grind a fool in a mortar with a pestle along with grain, yet his foolishness will not be removed from him.

²³Know well the state of your flocks, and pay attention to your herds: ²⁴for riches are not forever, nor does even the crown endure to all generations.

²⁵The hay is removed, and the new growth appears, the plants of the hills are gathered in.

²⁶The lambs are for your clothing, and the goats are the price of a field.

²⁷There will be plenty of goats' milk for your food, for your family's food, and for the nourishment of your servant girls.

Proverbs Chapter 28

¹The wicked flee when no one pursues; but the righteous are as bold as a lion.

²In rebellion, a land has many rulers, but order is maintained by a man of understanding and knowledge.

³A needy man who oppresses the poor is like a driving rain which leaves no crops.

⁴Those who forsake the law praise the wicked; but those who keep the law contend with them.

⁵Evil men don't understand justice; but those who seek ForeverOne understand it fully.

⁶Better is the poor who walks in his integrity, than he who is perverse in his ways, and he is rich.

⁷Whoever keeps the law is a wise son; but he who is a companion of gluttons shames his father.

⁸He who increases his wealth by excessive interest gathers it for one who has pity on the poor.

⁹He who turns away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer is an abomination.

¹⁰Whoever causes the upright to go astray in an evil way, he will fall into his own trap; but the blameless will inherit good.

¹¹The rich man is wise in his own eyes; but the poor who has understanding sees through him.

Hebrews Chapter 9

¹¹But the AnointedOne having come as a high priest of the coming good things, through the greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this creation, ¹²nor yet through the blood of goats and calves, but through his own blood, entered in once for all into the Holy Place, having obtained eternal redemption.

¹³For if the blood of goats and bulls, and the ashes of a heifer sprinkling those who have been defiled, sanctify to the cleanness of the flesh, ¹⁴how much more will the blood of the AnointedOne, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without defect to God, cleanse your conscience from dead actions to serve the living God?

¹⁵For this reason he is the mediator of a new covenant, since a death has occurred for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first covenant, that those who have been called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance.

¹⁶For where a last will and testament is, there must of necessity be the death of him who made it.

¹⁷For a will is in force where there has been death, for it is never in force while he who made it lives.

¹⁸Therefore even the first covenant has not been dedicated without blood.

¹⁹For when every commandment had been spoken by Moses to all the people according to the law, he took the blood of the calves and the goats, with water and scarlet wool and hyssop, and sprinkled both the book itself and all the people, ²⁰saying, "This is the blood of the covenant which God has commanded you." ²¹Moreover he sprinkled the tabernacle and all the vessels of the ministry in the same way with the blood.

²²According to the law, nearly everything is cleansed with blood, and apart from shedding of blood there is no remission.

²³So it was necessary that the copies of the things in the heavens should be cleansed with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these.

²⁴For the AnointedOne hasn't entered into holy places made with hands, which are representations of the true, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us; ²⁵nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest enters into the holy place year by year with blood not his own, ²⁶or else he must have suffered often since the foundation of the world. But now once at the end of the ages, he has been revealed to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

²⁷Inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once, and after this, judgment, ²⁸so the AnointedOne also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, without sin, to those who are eagerly waiting for him for salvation.
