Numbers Chapter 13

²⁵They returned from spying out the land at the end of forty days.

²⁶They went and came to Moses, and to Aaron, and to all the congregation of the children of Israel, to the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh; and brought back word to them, and to all the congregation, and showed them the fruit of the land.

²⁷They told him, and said, "We came to the land where you sent us; and surely it flows with milk and honey; and this is its fruit.

²⁸However the people who dwell in the land are strong, and the cities are fortified, [and] very great: and moreover we saw the children of Anak there.

²⁹Amalek dwells in the land of the South: and the Hittite, and the Jebusite, and the Amorite, dwell in the hill country; and the Canaanite dwells by the sea, and along by the side of the Jordan." ³⁰Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, "Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it." ³¹But the men who went up with him said, "We aren't able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we." ³²They brought up an evil report of the land which they had spied out to the children of Israel, saying, "The land, through which we have gone to spy it out, is a land that eats up its inhabitants; and all the people who we saw in it are men of great stature.

³³There we saw the Nephilim, the sons of Anak, who come of the Nephilim: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight."

Numbers Chapter 14

²All the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said to them, "Would that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would that we had died in this wilderness!

³Why does ForeverOne bring us to this land, to fall by the sword? Our wives and our little ones will be a prey: wouldn't it be better for us to return into Egypt?" ⁴They said one to another, "Let us make a captain, and let us return into Egypt."

Jeremiah Chapter 33

¹⁰Thus says ForeverOne: Yet again there shall be heard in this place, about which you say, It is waste, without man and without animal, even in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem, that are desolate, without man and without inhabitant and without animal, ¹¹the voice of joy and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the voice of those who say, Give thanks to ForeverOne of Armies, for ForeverOne is good, for his loving kindness endures forever; [and of them] who bring [sacrifices of] thanksgiving into the house of ForeverOne. For I will cause the captivity of the land to return as at the first, says ForeverOne.

¹²Thus says ForeverOne of Armies: Yet again shall there be in this place, which is waste, without man and without animal, and in all its cities, a habitation of shepherds causing their flocks to lie down.

¹³In the cities of the hill country, in the cities of the lowland, and in the cities of the South, and in the land of Benjamin, and in the places about Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah, shall the flocks again pass under the hands of him who numbers them, says ForeverOne.

¹⁴Behold, the days come, says ForeverOne, that I will perform that good word which I have spoken concerning the house of Israel and concerning the house of Judah.

¹⁵In those days, and at that time, will I cause a Branch of righteousness to grow up to David; and he shall execute justice and righteousness in the land.

¹⁶In those days shall Judah be saved, and Jerusalem shall dwell safely; and this is [the name] by which she shall be called: ForeverOne our righteousness.

¹⁷For thus says ForeverOne: David shall never want a man to sit on the throne of the house of Israel; ¹⁸neither shall the priests the Levites want a man before me to offer burnt offerings, and to burn meal offerings, and to do sacrifice continually.

¹⁹The word of ForeverOne came to Jeremiah, saying, ²⁰Thus says ForeverOne: If you can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, so that there shall not be day and night in their season; ²¹then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he shall not have a son to reign on his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers.

²²As the army of the sky can't be counted, neither the sand of the sea measured; so will I multiply the offspring of David my servant, and the Levites who minister to me.

²³The word of ForeverOne came to Jeremiah, saying, ²⁴"Don't consider what this people has spoken, saying, 'Has ForeverOne rejected the two families which he chose?' Thus they despise my people, that they should no longer be a nation before them." ²⁵Thus says ForeverOne: If my covenant of day and night fails, if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth; ²⁶then I also will reject the offspring of Jacob, and of David my servant, so that I will not select rulers over the offspring of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob from his offspring; for I will cause their captivity to be reversed, and will have mercy on them.

Jeremiah Chapter 34

¹The word which came to Jeremiah from ForeverOne, when Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, and all his army, and all the kingdoms of the earth that were under his dominion, and all the peoples, were fighting against Jerusalem, and against all the cities of it, saying: ²Thus says ForeverOne, the God of Israel, Go, and speak to Zedekiah king of Judah, and tell him, Thus says ForeverOne, Behold, I will give this city into the hand of the king of Babylon, and he shall burn it with fire: ³and you shall not escape out of his hand, but shall surely be taken, and delivered into his hand; and your eyes shall see the eyes of the king of Babylon, and he shall speak with you mouth to mouth, and you shall go to Babylon.

⁴Yet hear the word of ForeverOne, O Zedekiah king of Judah: thus says ForeverOne concerning you, You shall not die by the sword; ⁵you shall die in peace; and with the burnings of your fathers, the former kings who were before you, so shall they make a burning for you; and they shall lament you, [saying], Ah lord! for I have spoken the word, says ForeverOne.

⁶Then Jeremiah the prophet spoke all these words to Zedekiah king of Judah in Jerusalem, ⁷when the king of Babylon's army was fighting against Jerusalem, and against all the cities of Judah that were left, against Lachish and against Azekah; for these [alone] remained of the cities of Judah [as] fortified cities.

Psalm 94

¹ForeverOne, you God to whom vengeance belongs, you God to whom vengeance belongs, shine forth.

²Rise up, you judge of the earth. Pay back the proud what they deserve.

³ForeverOne, how long will the wicked, how long will the wicked triumph?

⁴They pour out arrogant words. All the evildoers boast.

⁵They break your people in pieces, ForeverOne, and afflict your heritage.

⁶They kill the widow and the alien, and murder the fatherless.

⁷They say, "EverOne will not see, neither will Jacob's God consider." ⁸Consider, you senseless among the people; you fools, when will you be wise?

⁹He who implanted the ear, won't he hear? He who formed the eye, won't he see?

¹⁰He who disciplines the nations, won't he punish? He who teaches man knows.

¹¹ForeverOne knows the thoughts of man, that they are futile.

¹²Blessed is the man whom you discipline, EverOne, and teach out of your law; ¹³that you may give him rest from the days of adversity, until the pit is dug for the wicked.

¹⁴For ForeverOne won't reject his people, neither will he forsake his inheritance.

¹⁵For judgment will return to righteousness. All the upright in heart shall follow it.

¹⁶Who will rise up for me against the wicked? Who will stand up for me against the evildoers?

¹⁷Unless ForeverOne had been my help, my soul would have soon lived in silence.

¹⁸When I said, "My foot is slipping!" Your loving kindness, ForeverOne, held me up.

¹⁹In the multitude of my thoughts within me, your comforts delight my soul.

²⁰Shall the throne of wickedness have fellowship with you, which brings about mischief by statute?

²¹They gather themselves together against the soul of the righteous, and condemn the innocent blood.

²²But ForeverOne has been my high tower, my God, the rock of my refuge.

²³He has brought on them their own iniquity, and will cut them off in their own wickedness. ForeverOne, our God, will cut them off.

Psalm 95

¹Oh come, let's sing to ForeverOne. Let's shout aloud to the rock of our salvation!

²Let's come before his presence with thanksgiving. Let's extol him with songs!

³For ForeverOne is a great God, a great King above all gods.

⁴In his hand are the deep places of the earth. The heights of the mountains are also his.

⁵The sea is his, and he made it. His hands formed the dry land.

⁶Oh come, let's worship and bow down. Let's kneel before ForeverOne, our Maker, ⁷for he is our God. We are the people of his pasture, and the sheep in his care. Today, oh that you would hear his voice!

⁸Don't harden your heart, as at Meribah, as in the day of Massah in the wilderness, ⁹when your fathers tempted me, tested me, and saw my work.

¹⁰Forty long years I was grieved with that generation, and said, "It is a people that errs in their heart. They have not known my ways." ¹¹Therefore I swore in my wrath, "They won't enter into my rest."

1 Corinthians Chapter 14

¹Follow after love and earnestly desire spiritual gifts, but especially that you may prophesy.

²For he who speaks in another language speaks not to men, but to God; for no one understands; but in the Spirit he speaks mysteries.

³But he who prophesies speaks to men for their edification, exhortation, and consolation.

⁴He who speaks in another language edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the assembly.

⁵Now I desire to have you all speak with other languages, but rather that you would prophesy. For he is greater who prophesies than he who speaks with other languages, unless he interprets, that the assembly may be built up.

⁶But now, brothers, if I come to you speaking with other languages, what would I profit you, unless I speak to you either by way of revelation, or of knowledge, or of prophesying, or of teaching?

⁷Even things without life, giving a voice, whether pipe or harp, if they didn't give a distinction in the sounds, how would it be known what is piped or harped?

⁸For if the trumpet gave an uncertain sound, who would prepare himself for war?

⁹Unless you utter by the tongue words that are easy to understand, how would it be known what is spoken? For you would be speaking into the air.

¹⁰There are, it may be, so many kinds of sounds in the world, and none of them is without meaning.

¹¹If then I don't know the meaning of the sound, I would be a foreigner to him who speaks, and he who speaks would be a foreigner to me.

¹²So also you, since you are zealous for spiritual gifts, seek that you may abound to the building up of the assembly.

¹³So let him who speaks in another language pray that he may interpret.

¹⁴For if I pray in another language, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful.

¹⁵What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also. I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.

¹⁶Otherwise if you bless with the spirit, how will he who fills the place of the unlearned say the "Amen" at your giving of thanks, seeing he doesn't know what you say?

¹⁷For you most certainly give thanks well, but the other person is not built up.

¹⁸I thank my God, I speak with other languages more than you all.

¹⁹However in the assembly I would rather speak five words with my understanding, that I might instruct others also, than ten thousand words in another language.
