Leviticus 14:10-22

13 verses

Leviticus Chapter 14

10"On the eighth day he shall take two male lambs without blemish, and one ewe lamb a year old without blemish, and three tenths of an ephah of fine flour for a meal offering, mingled with oil, and one log of oil.

11The priest who cleanses him shall set the man who is to be cleansed, and those things, before ForeverOne, at the door of the Tent of Meeting.

12"The priest shall take one of the male lambs, and offer him for a trespass offering, with the log of oil, and wave them for a wave offering before ForeverOne.

13He shall kill the male lamb in the place where they kill the sin offering and the burnt offering, in the place of the sanctuary; for as the sin offering is the priest's, so is the trespass offering. It is most holy.

14The priest shall take some of the blood of the trespass offering, and the priest shall put it on the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot.

15The priest shall take some of the log of oil, and pour it into the palm of his own left hand.

16The priest shall dip his right finger in the oil that is in his left hand, and shall sprinkle some of the oil with his finger seven times before ForeverOne.

17The priest shall put some of the rest of the oil that is in his hand on the tip of the right ear of him who is to be cleansed, and on the thumb of his right hand, and on the big toe of his right foot, upon the blood of the trespass offering.

18The rest of the oil that is in the priest's hand he shall put on the head of him who is to be cleansed, and the priest shall make atonement for him before ForeverOne.

19"The priest shall offer the sin offering, and make atonement for him who is to be cleansed because of his uncleanness: and afterward he shall kill the burnt offering; 20and the priest shall offer the burnt offering and the meal offering on the altar. The priest shall make atonement for him, and he shall be clean.

21"If he is poor, and can't afford so much, then he shall take one male lamb for a trespass offering to be waved, to make atonement for him, and one tenth of an ephah of fine flour mingled with oil for a meal offering, and a log of oil; 22and two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, whatever he can afford; and the one shall be a sin offering, and the other a burnt offering.

Isaiah 29

24 verses

Isaiah Chapter 29

1Woe to Ariel! Ariel, the city where David encamped! Add year to year; let the feasts come around; 2then I will distress Ariel, and there will be mourning and lamentation. She shall be to me as an altar hearth.

3I will encamp against you all around you, and will lay siege against you with posted troops. I will raise siege works against you.

4You will be brought down, and will speak out of the ground. Your speech will mumble out of the dust. Your voice will be as of one who has a familiar spirit, out of the ground, and your speech will whisper out of the dust.

5But the multitude of your foes will be like fine dust, and the multitude of the ruthless ones like chaff that blows away. Yes, it will be in an instant, suddenly.

6She will be visited by ForeverOne of Armies with thunder, with earthquake, with great noise, with whirlwind and storm, and with the flame of a devouring fire.

7The multitude of all the nations that fight against Ariel, even all who fight against her and her stronghold, and who distress her, will be like a dream, a vision of the night.

8It will be like when a hungry man dreams, and behold, he eats; but he awakes, and his hunger isn't satisfied; or like when a thirsty man dreams, and behold, he drinks; but he awakes, and behold, he is faint, and he is still thirsty. The multitude of all the nations that fight against Mount Zion will be like that.

9Pause and wonder! Blind yourselves and be blind! They are drunken, but not with wine; they stagger, but not with strong drink.

10For ForeverOne has poured out on you a spirit of deep sleep, and has closed your eyes, the prophets; and he has covered your heads, the seers.

11All vision has become to you like the words of a book that is sealed, which men deliver to one who is educated, saying, "Read this, please;" and he says, "I can't, for it is sealed:" 12and the book is delivered to one who is not educated, saying, "Read this, please;" and he says, "I can't read." 13LordOfMine said, "Because this people draws near with their mouth and with their lips to honor me, but they have removed their heart far from me, and their fear of me is a commandment of men which has been taught; 14therefore, behold, I will proceed to do a marvelous work among this people, even a marvelous work and a wonder; and the wisdom of their wise men will perish, and the understanding of their prudent men will be hidden." 15Woe to those who deeply hide their counsel from ForeverOne, and whose works are in the dark, and who say, "Who sees us?" and "Who knows us?" 16You turn things upside down! Should the potter be thought to be like clay; that the thing made should say about him who made it, "He didn't make me;" or the thing formed say of him who formed it, "He has no understanding?" 17Isn't it yet a very little while, and Lebanon will be turned into a fruitful field, and the fruitful field will be regarded as a forest?

18In that day, the deaf will hear the words of the book, and the eyes of the blind will see out of obscurity and out of darkness.

19The humble also will increase their joy in ForeverOne, and the poor among men will rejoice in the Holy One of Israel.

20For the ruthless is brought to nothing, and the scoffer ceases, and all those who are alert to do evil are cut off - 21who cause a person to be indicted by a word, and lay a snare for the arbiter in the gate, and who deprive the innocent of justice with false testimony.

22Therefore thus says ForeverOne, who redeemed Abraham, concerning the house of Jacob: "Jacob shall no longer be ashamed, neither shall his face grow pale.

23But when he sees his children, the work of my hands, in the midst of him, they will sanctify my name. Yes, they will sanctify the Holy One of Jacob, and will stand in awe of the God of Israel.

24They also who err in spirit will come to understanding, and those who grumble will receive instruction."

Job 42

Job Chapter 42

1Then Job answered ForeverOne, 2"I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be restrained.

3You asked, 'Who is this who hides counsel without knowledge?' therefore I have uttered what I did not understand, things too wonderful for me, which I didn't know.

4You said, 'Listen, now, and I will speak; I will question you, and you will answer me.' 5I had heard of you by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees you.

6Therefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes." 7After ForeverOne had spoken these words to Job, ForeverOne said to Eliphaz the Temanite, "My wrath is kindled against you, and against your two friends; for you have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job has.

8Now therefore, take to yourselves seven bulls and seven rams, and go to my servant Job, and offer up for yourselves a burnt offering; and my servant Job shall pray for you, for I will accept him, that I not deal with you according to your folly. For you have not spoken of me the thing that is right, as my servant Job has." 9So Eliphaz the Temanite and Bildad the Shuhite and Zophar the Naamathite went, and did what ForeverOne commanded them, and ForeverOne accepted Job.

10ForeverOne turned the captivity of Job, when he prayed for his friends. ForeverOne gave Job twice as much as he had before.

11Then came there to him all his brothers, and all his sisters, and all those who had been of his acquaintance before, and ate bread with him in his house. They comforted him, and consoled him concerning all the evil that ForeverOne had brought on him. Everyone also gave him a piece of money, and everyone a ring of gold.

12So ForeverOne blessed the latter end of Job more than his beginning. He had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, one thousand yoke of oxen, and a thousand female donkeys.

13He had also seven sons and three daughters.

14He called the name of the first, Jemimah; and the name of the second, Keziah; and the name of the third, Keren Happuch.

15In all the land were no women found so beautiful as the daughters of Job. Their father gave them an inheritance among their brothers.

16After this Job lived one hundred forty years, and saw his sons, and his sons' sons, to four generations.

17So Job died, being old and full of days.

Section 4

Acts 13:1-15

15 verses

Acts Chapter 13

1Now in the assembly that was at Antioch there were some prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen the foster brother of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.

2As they served the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, "Separate Barnabas and Saul for me, for the work to which I have called them." 3Then, when they had fasted and prayed and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.

4So, being sent out by the Holy Spirit, they went down to Seleucia. From there they sailed to Cyprus.

5When they were at Salamis, they proclaimed God's word in the Jewish synagogues. They also had John as their attendant.

6When they had gone through the island to Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Bar Jesus, 7who was with the proconsul, Sergius Paulus, a man of understanding. This man summoned Barnabas and Saul, and sought to hear the word of God.

8But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn the proconsul away from the faith.

9But Saul, who is also called Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, fastened his eyes on him, 10and said, "You son of the devil, full of all deceit and all cunning, you enemy of all righteousness, won't you ever cease to pervert the right ways of ForeverOne?

11Now, behold, the hand of ForeverOne is on you, and you will be blind, not seeing the sun for a season!" Immediately a mist and darkness fell on him. He went around seeking someone to lead him by the hand.

12Then the proconsul, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished at the teaching of the Lord.

13Now Paul and his group set sail from Paphos, and came to Perga in Pamphylia. John departed from them and returned to Jerusalem.

14But they, passing on from Perga, came to Antioch of Pisidia. They went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and sat down.

15After the reading of the law and the prophets, the rulers of the synagogue sent to them, saying, "Brothers, if you have any word of exhortation for the people, speak."
