Exodus Chapter 38

²⁴All the gold that was used for the work in all the work of the sanctuary, even the gold of the offering, was twenty-nine talents, and seven hundred thirty shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary.

²⁵The silver of those who were counted of the congregation was one hundred talents, and one thousand seven hundred seventy-five shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary: ²⁶a beka a head, that is, half a shekel, after the shekel of the sanctuary, for everyone who passed over to those who were counted, from twenty years old and upward, for six hundred three thousand five hundred fifty men.

²⁷The one hundred talents of silver were for casting the sockets of the sanctuary, and the sockets of the veil; one hundred sockets for the one hundred talents, a talent for a socket.

²⁸Of the one thousand seven hundred seventy-five shekels he made hooks for the pillars, overlaid their capitals, and made fillets for them.

²⁹The brass of the offering was seventy talents, and two thousand four hundred shekels.

³⁰With this he made the sockets to the door of the Tent of Meeting, the bronze altar, the bronze grating for it, all the vessels of the altar, ³¹the sockets around the court, the sockets of the gate of the court, all the pins of the tabernacle, and all the pins around the court.

Exodus Chapter 39

¹Of the blue, purple, and scarlet, they made finely worked garments, for ministering in the holy place, and made the holy garments for Aaron; as ForeverOne commanded Moses.

²He made the ephod of gold, blue, purple, scarlet, and fine twined linen.

³They beat the gold into thin plates, and cut it into wires, to work it in the blue, in the purple, in the scarlet, and in the fine linen, the work of the skillful workman.

⁴They made shoulder straps for it, joined together. At the two ends it was joined together.

⁵The skillfully woven band that was on it, with which to fasten it on, was of the same piece, like its work; of gold, of blue, purple, scarlet, and fine twined linen; as ForeverOne commanded Moses.

⁶They worked the onyx stones, enclosed in settings of gold, engraved with the engravings of a signet, according to the names of the children of Israel.

⁷He put them on the shoulder straps of the ephod, to be stones of memorial for the children of Israel, as ForeverOne commanded Moses.

2 Kings Chapter 17

¹⁵They rejected his statutes, and his covenant that he made with their fathers, and his testimonies which he testified to them; and they followed vanity, and became vain, and [went] after the nations that were around them, concerning whom ForeverOne had commanded them that they should not do like them.

¹⁶They forsook all the commandments of ForeverOne their God, and made them molten images, even two calves, and made an Asherah, and worshiped all the army of the sky, and served Baal.

¹⁷They caused their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire, and used divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do what was evil in the sight of ForeverOne, to provoke him to anger.

¹⁸Therefore ForeverOne was very angry with Israel, and removed them out of his sight: there was none left but the tribe of Judah only.

¹⁹Also Judah didn't keep the commandments of ForeverOne their God, but walked in the statutes of Israel which they made.

²⁰ForeverOne rejected all the offspring of Israel, and afflicted them, and delivered them into the hand of spoilers, until he had put them out of his sight.

²¹For he tore Israel from the house of David; and they made Jeroboam the son of Nebat king: and Jeroboam drove Israel from following ForeverOne, and made them sin a great sin.

²²The children of Israel walked in all the sins of Jeroboam which he did; they didn't depart from them; ²³until ForeverOne removed Israel out of his sight, as he spoke by all his servants the prophets. So Israel was carried away out of their own land to Assyria to this day.

²⁴The king of Assyria brought men from Babylon, and from Cuthah, and from Avva, and from Hamath and Sepharvaim, and placed them in the cities of Samaria instead of the children of Israel; and they possessed Samaria, and lived in the cities of it.

²⁵So it was, at the beginning of their dwelling there, that they didn't fear ForeverOne: therefore ForeverOne sent lions among them, which killed some of them.

²⁶Therefore they spoke to the king of Assyria, saying, "The nations which you have carried away, and placed in the cities of Samaria, don't know the law of the god of the land. Therefore he has sent lions among them, and behold, they kill them, because they don't know the law of the god of the land." ²⁷Then the king of Assyria commanded, saying, "Carry there one of the priests whom you brought from there; and let them go and dwell there, and let him teach them the law of the god of the land." ²⁸So one of the priests whom they had carried away from Samaria came and lived in Bethel, and taught them how they should fear ForeverOne.

²⁹However every nation made gods of their own, and put them in the houses of the high places which the Samaritans had made, every nation in their cities in which they lived.

³⁰The men of Babylon made Succoth Benoth, and the men of Cuth made Nergal, and the men of Hamath made Ashima, ³¹and the Avvites made Nibhaz and Tartak; and the Sepharvites burned their children in the fire to Adrammelech and Anammelech, the gods of Sepharvaim.

³²So they feared ForeverOne, and made to them from among themselves priests of the high places, who sacrificed for them in the houses of the high places.

³³They feared ForeverOne, and served their own gods, after the ways of the nations from among whom they had been carried away.

³⁴To this day they do what they did before: they don't fear ForeverOne, neither do they follow their statutes, or their ordinances, or the law or the commandment which ForeverOne commanded the children of Jacob, whom he named Israel; ³⁵with whom ForeverOne had made a covenant, and commanded them, saying, "You shall not fear other gods, nor bow yourselves to them, nor serve them, nor sacrifice to them;

Job Chapter 9

²⁵"Now my days are swifter than a runner. They flee away, they see no good, ²⁶They have passed away as the swift ships, as the eagle that swoops on the prey.

²⁷If I say, 'I will forget my complaint, I will put off my sad face, and cheer up;' ²⁸I am afraid of all my sorrows, I know that you will not hold me innocent.

²⁹I shall be condemned. Then why do I labor in vain?

³⁰If I wash myself with snow, and cleanse my hands with lye, ³¹yet you will plunge me in the ditch. My own clothes shall abhor me.

³²For he is not a man, as I am, that I should answer him, that we should come together in judgment.

³³There is no umpire between us, that might lay his hand on us both.

³⁴Let him take his rod away from me. Let his terror not make me afraid; ³⁵then I would speak, and not fear him, for I am not so in myself.

Job Chapter 10

¹"My soul is weary of my life. I will give free course to my complaint. I will speak in the bitterness of my soul.

²I will tell God, 'Do not condemn me. Show me why you contend with me.

³Is it good to you that you should oppress, that you should despise the work of your hands, and smile on the counsel of the wicked?

⁴Do you have eyes of flesh? Or do you see as man sees?

⁵Are your days as the days of mortals, or your years as man's years, ⁶that you inquire after my iniquity, and search after my sin?

⁷Although you know that I am not wicked, there is no one who can deliver out of your hand.

⁸"'Your hands have framed me and fashioned me altogether, yet you destroy me.

⁹Remember, I beg you, that you have fashioned me as clay. Will you bring me into dust again?

¹⁰Haven't you poured me out like milk, and curdled me like cheese?

¹¹You have clothed me with skin and flesh, and knit me together with bones and sinews.

¹²You have granted me life and loving kindness. Your visitation has preserved my spirit.

¹³Yet you hid these things in your heart. I know that this is with you: ¹⁴if I sin, then you mark me. You will not acquit me from my iniquity.

¹⁵If I am wicked, woe to me. If I am righteous, I still shall not lift up my head, being filled with disgrace, and conscious of my affliction.

¹⁶If my head is held high, you hunt me like a lion. Again you show yourself powerful to me.

¹⁷You renew your witnesses against me, and increase your indignation on me. Changes and warfare are with me.

John Chapter 16

¹⁶A little while, and you will not see me. Again a little while, and you will see me." ¹⁷So some of his disciples said to one another, "What is this that he says to us, 'A little while, and you won't see me, and again a little while, and you will see me;' and, 'Because I go to the Father'?" ¹⁸So they said "What is this that he says, 'A little while'? We don't know what he is saying." ¹⁹So Jesus perceived that they wanted to ask him, and he said to them, "Do you inquire among yourselves concerning this, that I said, 'A little while, and you won't see me, and again a little while, and you will see me?' ²⁰Most certainly I tell you that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice. You will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy.

²¹A woman, when she gives birth, has sorrow because her time has come. But when she has delivered the child, she doesn't remember the anguish any more, for the joy that a human being is born into the world.

²²So you now have sorrow, but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you.

²³"In that day you will ask me no questions. Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you.

²⁴Until now, you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full.

²⁵I have spoken these things to you in figures of speech. But the time is coming when I will no more speak to you in figures of speech, but will tell you plainly about the Father.

²⁶In that day you will ask in my name; and I don't say to you that I will pray to the Father for you, ²⁷for the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me, and have believed that I came from God.

²⁸I came from the Father, and have come into the world. Again, I leave the world, and go to the Father." ²⁹His disciples said to him, "Behold, now you are speaking plainly, and not using figures of speech.

³⁰Now we know that you know all things, and don't need for anyone to question you. By this we believe that you came from God." ³¹Jesus answered them, "Do you now believe?

³²Behold, the time is coming, yes, and has now come, that you will be scattered, everyone to his own place, and you will leave me alone. Yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me.

³³I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have trouble; but cheer up! I have overcome the world."

John Chapter 17

¹Jesus said these things, then lifting up his eyes to heaven, he said, "Father, the time has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may also glorify you; ²even as you gave him authority over all flesh, so he will give eternal life to all whom you have given him.

³This is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Jesus AnointedOne.
