Genesis Chapter 7

¹ForeverOne said to Noah, "Come with all of your household into the vessel, for I have seen your righteousness before me in this generation.

²You shall take seven pairs of every clean animal with you, the male and his female. Of the animals that are not clean, take two, the male and his female.

³Also of the birds of the sky, seven and seven, male and female, to keep seed alive on the surface of all the earth.

⁴In seven days, I will cause it to rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights. I will destroy every living thing that I have made from the surface of the ground." ⁵Noah did everything that ForeverOne commanded him.

⁶Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters came on the earth.

⁷Noah went into the vessel with his sons, his wife, and his sons' wives, because of the floodwaters.

⁸Clean animals, unclean animals, birds, and everything that creeps on the ground ⁹went by pairs to Noah into the vessel, male and female, as God commanded Noah.

¹⁰After the seven days, the floodwaters came on the earth.

¹¹In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep burst open, and the sky's windows opened.

¹²It rained on the earth forty days and forty nights.

¹³On the same day Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, entered into the vessel; ¹⁴they, and every animal after its kind, all the livestock after their kind, every creeping thing that creeps on the earth after its kind, and every bird after its kind, every bird of every sort.

¹⁵Pairs from all flesh with the breath of life in them went into the vessel to Noah.

¹⁶Those who went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God commanded him; then ForeverOne shut him in.

¹⁷The flood was forty days on the earth. The waters increased, and lifted up the vessel, and it was lifted up above the earth.

¹⁸The waters rose, and increased greatly on the earth; and the vessel floated on the surface of the waters.

¹⁹The waters rose very high on the earth. All the high mountains that were under the whole sky were covered.

²⁰The waters rose fifteen cubits higher, and the mountains were covered.

²¹All flesh died that moved on the earth, including birds, livestock, animals, every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, and every man.

²²All on the dry land, in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, died.

²³Every living thing was destroyed that was on the surface of the ground, including man, livestock, creeping things, and birds of the sky. They were destroyed from the earth. Only Noah was left, and those who were with him in the vessel.

²⁴The waters flooded the earth one hundred fifty days.

Joshua Chapter 10

¹Now when Adoni-Zedek king of Jerusalem heard how Joshua had taken Ai, and had utterly destroyed it; as he had done to Jericho and her king, so he had done to Ai and her king; and how the inhabitants of Gibeon had made peace with Israel, and were among them; ²they were very afraid, because Gibeon was a great city, as one of the royal cities, and because it was greater than Ai, and all its men were mighty.

³Therefore Adoni-Zedek king of Jerusalem sent to Hoham king of Hebron, to Piram king of Jarmuth, to Japhia king of Lachish, and to Debir king of Eglon, saying, ⁴"Come up to me, and help me, and let us strike Gibeon; for it has made peace with Joshua and with the children of Israel." ⁵Therefore the five kings of the Amorites, the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, the king of Eglon, gathered themselves together, and went up, they and all their armies, and encamped against Gibeon, and made war against it.

⁶The men of Gibeon sent to Joshua to the camp to Gilgal, saying, "Don't abandon your servants! Come up to us quickly, and save us, and help us; for all the kings of the Amorites that dwell in the hill country have gathered together against us." ⁷So Joshua went up from Gilgal, he, and all the people of war with him, and all the mighty men of valor.

⁸ForeverOne said to Joshua, "Don't fear them, for I have delivered them into your hands. Not a man of them will stand before you." ⁹Joshua therefore came on them suddenly. He went up from Gilgal all night.

¹⁰ForeverOne confused them before Israel, and he killed them with a great slaughter at Gibeon, and pursued them along the road of the ascent of Beth Horon, and struck them to Azekah and to Makkedah.

¹¹As they fled from before Israel, while they were at the descent of Beth Horon, ForeverOne threw down great stones from the sky on them to Azekah, and they died. There were more who died from the hailstones than who the children of Israel killed with the sword.

¹²Then Joshua spoke to ForeverOne in the day when ForeverOne delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel; and he said in the sight of Israel, "Sun, stand still on Gibeon! You, moon, stop in the valley of Aijalon!" ¹³The sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the nation had avenged themselves of their enemies. Isn't this written in the book of Jashar? The sun stayed in the midst of the sky, and didn't hurry to go down about a whole day.

¹⁴There was no day like that before it or after it, that ForeverOne listened to the voice of a man; for ForeverOne fought for Israel.

¹⁵Joshua returned, and all Israel with him, to the camp to Gilgal.

¹⁶These five kings fled, and hid themselves in the cave at Makkedah.

¹⁷Joshua was told, saying, "The five kings are found, hidden in the cave at Makkedah." ¹⁸Joshua said, "Roll large stones to the mouth of the cave, and set men by it to guard them; ¹⁹but don't stay. Pursue your enemies, and them from the rear. Don't allow them to enter into their cities; for ForeverOne your God has delivered them into your hand." ²⁰When Joshua and the children of Israel had finished killing them with a very great slaughter until they were consumed, and the remnant which remained of them had entered into the fortified cities, ²¹all the people returned to the camp to Joshua at Makkedah in peace. None moved his tongue against any of the children of Israel.

²²Then Joshua said, "Open the mouth of the cave, and bring those five kings out of the cave to me." ²³They did so, and brought those five kings out of the cave to him: the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, and the king of Eglon.

²⁴When they brought those kings out to Joshua, Joshua called for all the men of Israel, and said to the chiefs of the men of war who went with him, "Come near, put your feet on the necks of these kings." They came near, and put their feet on their necks.

²⁵Joshua said to them, "Don't be afraid, nor be dismayed. Be strong and courageous, for ForeverOne will do this to all your enemies against whom you fight." ²⁶Afterward Joshua struck them, put them to death, and hanged them on five trees. They were hanging on the trees until the evening.

²⁷At the time of the going down of the sun, Joshua commanded and they took them down from the trees, and threw them into the cave in which they had hidden themselves, and laid great stones on the mouth of the cave, which remain to this very day.

1 Chronicles Chapter 3

⁵and these were born to him in Jerusalem: Shimea, Shobab, Nathan and Solomon, four [in all], of Bathshua the daughter of Ammiel; ⁶Ibhar, Elishama, Eliphelet, ⁷Nogah, Nepheg, Japhia, ⁸Elishama, Eliada and Eliphelet, nine [in all].

⁹All these were the sons of David, besides the sons of the concubines; and Tamar was their sister.

¹⁰Solomon's son was Rehoboam, Abijah his son, Asa his son, Jehoshaphat his son, ¹¹Joram his son, Ahaziah his son, Joash his son, ¹²Amaziah his son, Azariah his son, Jotham his son, ¹³Ahaz his son, Hezekiah his son, Manasseh his son, ¹⁴Amon his son, Josiah his son.

¹⁵The sons of Josiah were the firstborn Johanan, the second Jehoiakim, the third Zedekiah and the fourth Shallum.

¹⁶The sons of Jehoiakim were Jeconiah his son and Zedekiah his son.

¹⁷The sons of Jeconiah, the captive were Shealtiel his son, ¹⁸Malchiram, Pedaiah, Shenazzar, Jekamiah, Hoshama, and Nedabiah.

¹⁹The sons of Pedaiah were Zerubbabel and Shimei. The sons of Zerubbabel were Meshullam and Hananiah; and Shelomith was their sister; ²⁰also Hashubah, Ohel, Berechiah, Hasadiah, Jushab Hesed, five [in all].

²¹The sons of Hananiah were Pelatiah and Jeshaiah; the sons of Rephaiah, the sons of Arnan, the sons of Obadiah, the sons of Shecaniah.

²²The son of Shecaniah was Shemaiah. Shemaiah and his sons were Hattush, Igal, Bariah, Neariah and Shaphat, six [in all].

²³The sons of Neariah were Elioenai, Hizkiah and Azrikam, three [in all].

²⁴The sons of Elioenai were Hodaviah, Eliashib, Pelaiah, Akkub, Johanan, Delaiah and Anani, seven [in all].

1 Chronicles Chapter 4

¹The sons of Judah were Perez, Hezron, Carmi, Hur and Shobal.

²Reaiah the son of Shobal became the father of Jahath; and Jahath became the father of Ahumai and Lahad. These are the families of the Zorathites.

³These were [the sons of] the father of Etam: Jezreel, and Ishma, and Idbash; and the name of their sister was Hazzelelponi; ⁴and Penuel the father of Gedor, and Ezer the father of Hushah. These are the sons of Hur, the firstborn of Ephrathah, the father of Bethlehem.

Matthew Chapter 7

²⁴"So everyone who hears these words of mine and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on a rock.

²⁵The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it didn't fall, for it was founded on the rock.

²⁶Everyone who hears these words of mine and doesn't do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.

²⁷The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell- and its fall was great." ²⁸When Jesus had finished saying these things, the multitudes were astonished at his teaching, ²⁹for he taught them with authority, and not like the scribes.

Matthew Chapter 8

¹When he came down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him.

²Behold, a leper came to him and worshiped him, saying, "Lord, if you want to, you can make me clean." ³Jesus stretched out his hand and touched him, saying, "I want to. Be made clean." Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

⁴Jesus said to him, "See that you tell nobody; but go, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them." ⁵When he came into Capernaum, a centurion came to him, asking him for help, ⁶and saying, "Lord, my servant lies in the house paralyzed, grievously tormented." ⁷Jesus said to him, "I will come and heal him." ⁸The centurion answered, "Lord, I'm not worthy for you to come under my roof. Just say the word, and my servant will be healed.

⁹For I am also a man under authority, having under myself soldiers. I tell this one, 'Go,' and he goes; and tell another, 'Come,' and he comes; and tell my servant, 'Do this,' and he does it." ¹⁰When Jesus heard it, he marveled and said to those who followed, "Most certainly I tell you, I haven't found so great a faith, not even in Israel.

¹¹I tell you that many will come from the east and the west, and will sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the Kingdom of Heaven, ¹²but the children of the Kingdom will be thrown out into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth." ¹³Jesus said to the centurion, "Go your way. Let it be done for you as you have believed." His servant was healed in that hour.

¹⁴When Jesus came into Peter's house, he saw his wife's mother lying sick with a fever.

¹⁵He touched her hand, and the fever left her. So she got up and served him.

¹⁶When evening came, they brought to him many possessed with demons. He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, ¹⁷that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying, "He took our infirmities and bore our diseases."
