Genesis Chapter 7

1ForeverOne said to Noah, "Come with all of your household into the vessel, for I have seen your righteousness before me in this generation.

2You shall take seven pairs of every clean animal with you, the male and his female. Of the animals that are not clean, take two, the male and his female.

3Also of the birds of the sky, seven and seven, male and female, to keep seed alive on the surface of all the earth.

4In seven days, I will cause it to rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights. I will destroy every living thing that I have made from the surface of the ground." 5Noah did everything that ForeverOne commanded him.

6Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters came on the earth.

7Noah went into the vessel with his sons, his wife, and his sons' wives, because of the floodwaters.

8Clean animals, unclean animals, birds, and everything that creeps on the ground 9went by pairs to Noah into the vessel, male and female, as God commanded Noah.

10After the seven days, the floodwaters came on the earth.

11In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep burst open, and the sky's windows opened.

12It rained on the earth forty days and forty nights.

13On the same day Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, entered into the vessel; 14they, and every animal after its kind, all the livestock after their kind, every creeping thing that creeps on the earth after its kind, and every bird after its kind, every bird of every sort.

15Pairs from all flesh with the breath of life in them went into the vessel to Noah.

16Those who went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God commanded him; then ForeverOne shut him in.

17The flood was forty days on the earth. The waters increased, and lifted up the vessel, and it was lifted up above the earth.

18The waters rose, and increased greatly on the earth; and the vessel floated on the surface of the waters.

19The waters rose very high on the earth. All the high mountains that were under the whole sky were covered.

20The waters rose fifteen cubits higher, and the mountains were covered.

21All flesh died that moved on the earth, including birds, livestock, animals, every creeping thing that creeps on the earth, and every man.

22All on the dry land, in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, died.

23Every living thing was destroyed that was on the surface of the ground, including man, livestock, creeping things, and birds of the sky. They were destroyed from the earth. Only Noah was left, and those who were with him in the vessel.

24The waters flooded the earth one hundred fifty days.

Joshua 10:1-27

Joshua Chapter 10

1Now when Adoni-Zedek king of Jerusalem heard how Joshua had taken Ai, and had utterly destroyed it; as he had done to Jericho and her king, so he had done to Ai and her king; and how the inhabitants of Gibeon had made peace with Israel, and were among them; 2they were very afraid, because Gibeon was a great city, as one of the royal cities, and because it was greater than Ai, and all its men were mighty.

3Therefore Adoni-Zedek king of Jerusalem sent to Hoham king of Hebron, to Piram king of Jarmuth, to Japhia king of Lachish, and to Debir king of Eglon, saying, 4"Come up to me, and help me, and let us strike Gibeon; for it has made peace with Joshua and with the children of Israel." 5Therefore the five kings of the Amorites, the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, the king of Eglon, gathered themselves together, and went up, they and all their armies, and encamped against Gibeon, and made war against it.

6The men of Gibeon sent to Joshua to the camp to Gilgal, saying, "Don't abandon your servants! Come up to us quickly, and save us, and help us; for all the kings of the Amorites that dwell in the hill country have gathered together against us." 7So Joshua went up from Gilgal, he, and all the people of war with him, and all the mighty men of valor.

8ForeverOne said to Joshua, "Don't fear them, for I have delivered them into your hands. Not a man of them will stand before you." 9Joshua therefore came on them suddenly. He went up from Gilgal all night.

10ForeverOne confused them before Israel, and he killed them with a great slaughter at Gibeon, and pursued them along the road of the ascent of Beth Horon, and struck them to Azekah and to Makkedah.

11As they fled from before Israel, while they were at the descent of Beth Horon, ForeverOne threw down great stones from the sky on them to Azekah, and they died. There were more who died from the hailstones than who the children of Israel killed with the sword.

12Then Joshua spoke to ForeverOne in the day when ForeverOne delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel; and he said in the sight of Israel, "Sun, stand still on Gibeon! You, moon, stop in the valley of Aijalon!" 13The sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the nation had avenged themselves of their enemies. Isn't this written in the book of Jashar? The sun stayed in the midst of the sky, and didn't hurry to go down about a whole day.

14There was no day like that before it or after it, that ForeverOne listened to the voice of a man; for ForeverOne fought for Israel.

15Joshua returned, and all Israel with him, to the camp to Gilgal.

16These five kings fled, and hid themselves in the cave at Makkedah.

17Joshua was told, saying, "The five kings are found, hidden in the cave at Makkedah." 18Joshua said, "Roll large stones to the mouth of the cave, and set men by it to guard them; 19but don't stay. Pursue your enemies, and them from the rear. Don't allow them to enter into their cities; for ForeverOne your God has delivered them into your hand." 20When Joshua and the children of Israel had finished killing them with a very great slaughter until they were consumed, and the remnant which remained of them had entered into the fortified cities, 21all the people returned to the camp to Joshua at Makkedah in peace. None moved his tongue against any of the children of Israel.

22Then Joshua said, "Open the mouth of the cave, and bring those five kings out of the cave to me." 23They did so, and brought those five kings out of the cave to him: the king of Jerusalem, the king of Hebron, the king of Jarmuth, the king of Lachish, and the king of Eglon.

24When they brought those kings out to Joshua, Joshua called for all the men of Israel, and said to the chiefs of the men of war who went with him, "Come near, put your feet on the necks of these kings." They came near, and put their feet on their necks.

25Joshua said to them, "Don't be afraid, nor be dismayed. Be strong and courageous, for ForeverOne will do this to all your enemies against whom you fight." 26Afterward Joshua struck them, put them to death, and hanged them on five trees. They were hanging on the trees until the evening.

27At the time of the going down of the sun, Joshua commanded and they took them down from the trees, and threw them into the cave in which they had hidden themselves, and laid great stones on the mouth of the cave, which remain to this very day.

Matthew 7:24-8:17

23 verses

Matthew Chapter 7

24"So everyone who hears these words of mine and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on a rock.

25The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it didn't fall, for it was founded on the rock.

26Everyone who hears these words of mine and doesn't do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.

27The rain came down, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it fell- and its fall was great." 28When Jesus had finished saying these things, the multitudes were astonished at his teaching, 29for he taught them with authority, and not like the scribes.

Matthew Chapter 8

1When he came down from the mountain, great multitudes followed him.

2Behold, a leper came to him and worshiped him, saying, "Lord, if you want to, you can make me clean." 3Jesus stretched out his hand and touched him, saying, "I want to. Be made clean." Immediately his leprosy was cleansed.

4Jesus said to him, "See that you tell nobody; but go, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, as a testimony to them." 5When he came into Capernaum, a centurion came to him, asking him for help, 6and saying, "Lord, my servant lies in the house paralyzed, grievously tormented." 7Jesus said to him, "I will come and heal him." 8The centurion answered, "Lord, I'm not worthy for you to come under my roof. Just say the word, and my servant will be healed.

9For I am also a man under authority, having under myself soldiers. I tell this one, 'Go,' and he goes; and tell another, 'Come,' and he comes; and tell my servant, 'Do this,' and he does it." 10When Jesus heard it, he marveled and said to those who followed, "Most certainly I tell you, I haven't found so great a faith, not even in Israel.

11I tell you that many will come from the east and the west, and will sit down with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob in the Kingdom of Heaven, 12but the children of the Kingdom will be thrown out into the outer darkness. There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth." 13Jesus said to the centurion, "Go your way. Let it be done for you as you have believed." His servant was healed in that hour.

14When Jesus came into Peter's house, he saw his wife's mother lying sick with a fever.

15He touched her hand, and the fever left her. So she got up and served him.

16When evening came, they brought to him many possessed with demons. He cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick, 17that it might be fulfilled which was spoken through Isaiah the prophet, saying, "He took our infirmities and bore our diseases."
