Deuteronomy 2:6-15

Deuteronomy Chapter 2

6You shall purchase food of them for money, that you may eat; and you shall also buy water of them for money, that you may drink.'" 7For ForeverOne your God has blessed you in all the work of your hand; he has known your walking through this great wilderness: these forty years ForeverOne your God has been with you; you have lacked nothing.

8So we passed by from our brothers the children of Esau, who dwell in Seir, from the way of the Arabah from Elath and from Ezion Geber. We turned and passed by the way of the wilderness of Moab.

9ForeverOne said to me, "Don't bother Moab, neither contend with them in battle; for I will not give you of his land for a possession; because I have given Ar to the children of Lot for a possession." 10(The Emim lived there before, a great, numerous and tall people, as the Anakim: 11these also are accounted Rephaim, as the Anakim; but the Moabites call them Emim.

12The Horites also lived in Seir before, but the children of Esau succeeded them; and they destroyed them from before them, and lived in their place; as Israel did to the land of his possession, which ForeverOne gave to them.) 13"Now rise up, and cross over the brook Zered." We went over the brook Zered.

14The days in which we came from Kadesh Barnea, until we had come over the brook Zered, were thirty-eight years; until all the generation of the men of war were consumed from the midst of the camp, as ForeverOne swore to them.

15Moreover the hand of ForeverOne was against them, to destroy them from the midst of the camp, until they were consumed.

Ezekiel 31:15-32:16

Ezekiel Chapter 31

15Thus says LordOfMine ForeverOne: In the day when he went down to Sheol I caused a mourning: I covered the deep for him, and I restrained its rivers; and the great waters were stayed; and I caused Lebanon to mourn for him, and all the trees of the field fainted for him.

16I made the nations shake at the sound of his fall, when I threw him down to Sheol with those who descend into the pit; and all the trees of Eden, the choice and best of Lebanon, all that drink water, were comforted in the lower parts of the earth.

17They also went down into Sheol with him to those who are slain by the sword; yes, those who were his arm, [that] lived under his shadow in the midst of the nations.

18To whom are you thus like in glory and in greatness among the trees of Eden? yet you will be brought down with the trees of Eden to the lower parts of the earth: you shall lie in the midst of the uncircumcised, with those who are slain by the sword. This is Pharaoh and all his multitude, says LordOfMine ForeverOne.

Ezekiel Chapter 32

1In the twelfth year, in the twelfth month, in the first [day] of the month, the word of ForeverOne came to me, saying, 2Son of man, take up a lamentation over Pharaoh king of Egypt, and tell him, You were likened to a young lion of the nations: yet you are as a monster in the seas; and you broke forth with your rivers, and troubled the waters with your feet, and fouled their rivers.

3Thus says LordOfMine ForeverOne: I will spread out my net on you with a group of many peoples; and they shall bring you up in my net.

4I will leave you on the land, I will throw you out into the open field, and will cause all the birds of the sky to settle on you, and I will satisfy the animals of the whole earth with you.

5I will lay your flesh on the mountains, and fill the valleys with your height.

6I will also water with your blood the land in which you swim, even to the mountains; and the watercourses shall be full of you.

7When I shall extinguish you, I will cover the heavens, and make its stars dark; I will cover the sun with a cloud, and the moon shall not give its light.

8All the bright lights of the sky will I make dark over you, and set darkness on your land, says LordOfMine ForeverOne.

9I will also trouble the hearts of many peoples, when I shall bring your destruction among the nations, into the countries which you have not known.

10Yes, I will make many peoples amazed at you, and their kings shall be horribly afraid for you, when I shall brandish my sword before them; and they shall tremble at every moment, every man for his own life, in the day of your fall.

11For thus says LordOfMine ForeverOne: The sword of the king of Babylon shall come on you.

12By the swords of the mighty will I cause your multitude to fall; the terrible of the nations are they all: and they shall bring to nothing the pride of Egypt, and all its multitude shall be destroyed.

13I will destroy also all its animals from beside many waters; neither shall the foot of man trouble them any more, nor the hoofs of animals trouble them.

14Then will I make their waters clear, and cause their rivers to run like oil, says LordOfMine ForeverOne.

15When I shall make the land of Egypt desolate and waste, a land destitute of that of which it was full, when I shall strike all those who dwell there, then shall they know that I am ForeverOne.

16This is the lamentation with which they shall lament; the daughters of the nations shall lament with it; over Egypt, and over all her multitude, shall they lament with it, says LordOfMine ForeverOne.

Section 3

Proverbs 18:6-19:8

27 verses

Proverbs Chapter 18

6A fool's lips come into strife, and his mouth invites beatings.

7A fool's mouth is his destruction, and his lips are a snare to his soul.

8The words of a gossip are like dainty morsels: they go down into a person's innermost parts.

9One who is slack in his work is brother to him who is a master of destruction.

10The name of ForeverOne is a strong tower: the righteous run to him, and are safe.

11The rich man's wealth is his strong city, like an unscalable wall in his own imagination.

12Before destruction the heart of man is proud, but before honor is humility.

13He who gives answer before he hears, that is folly and shame to him.

14A man's spirit will sustain him in sickness, but a crushed spirit, who can bear?

15The heart of the discerning gets knowledge. The ear of the wise seeks knowledge.

16A man's gift makes room for him, and brings him before great men.

17He who pleads his cause first seems right; until another comes and questions him.

18The lot settles disputes, and keeps strong ones apart.

19A brother offended is more difficult than a fortified city; and disputes are like the bars of a castle.

20A man's stomach is filled with the fruit of his mouth. With the harvest of his lips he is satisfied.

21Death and life are in the power of the tongue; those who love it will eat its fruit.

22Whoever finds a wife finds a good thing, and obtains favor of ForeverOne.

23The poor plead for mercy, but the rich answer harshly.

24A man of many companions may be ruined, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

Proverbs Chapter 19

1Better is the poor who walks in his integrity than he who is perverse in his lips and is a fool.

2It isn't good to have zeal without knowledge; nor being hasty with one's feet and missing the way.

3The foolishness of man subverts his way; his heart rages against ForeverOne.

4Wealth adds many friends, but the poor is separated from his friend.

5A false witness shall not be unpunished. He who pours out lies shall not go free.

6Many will entreat the favor of a ruler, and everyone is a friend to a man who gives gifts.

7All the relatives of the poor shun him: how much more do his friends avoid him! He pursues them with pleas, but they are gone.

8He who gets wisdom loves his own soul. He who keeps understanding shall find good.

Section 4

Titus 1:1-2:8

24 verses

Titus Chapter 1

1Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus AnointedOne, according to the faith of God's chosen ones, and the knowledge of the truth which is according to godliness, 2in hope of eternal life, which God, who can't lie, promised before time began; 3but in his own time revealed his word in the message with which I was entrusted according to the commandment of God our Savior; 4to Titus, my true child according to a common faith: Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father and the Lord Jesus AnointedOne our Savior.

5I left you in Crete for this reason, that you would set in order the things that were lacking and appoint elders in every city, as I directed you; 6if anyone is blameless, the husband of one wife, having children who believe, who are not accused of loose or unruly behavior.

7For the overseer must be blameless, as God's steward, not self-pleasing, not easily angered, not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for dishonest gain; 8but given to hospitality, a lover of good, sober minded, fair, holy, self-controlled, 9holding to the faithful word which is according to the teaching, that he may be able to exhort in the sound doctrine, and to convict those who contradict him.

10For there are also many unruly men, vain talkers and deceivers, especially those of the circumcision, 11whose mouths must be stopped: men who overthrow whole houses, teaching things which they ought not, for dishonest gain's sake.

12One of them, a prophet of their own, said, "Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, and idle gluttons." 13This testimony is true. For this cause, reprove them sharply, that they may be sound in the faith, 14not paying attention to Jewish fables and commandments of men who turn away from the truth.

15To the pure, all things are pure; but to those who are defiled and unbelieving, nothing is pure; but both their mind and their conscience are defiled.

16They profess that they know God, but by their actions they deny him, being abominable, disobedient, and unfit for any good work.

Titus Chapter 2

1But say the things which fit sound doctrine, 2that older men should be temperate, sensible, sober minded, sound in faith, in love, and in perseverance: 3and that older women likewise be reverent in behavior, not slanderers nor enslaved to much wine, teachers of what is good, 4that they may train the young wives to love their husbands, to love their children, 5to be sober minded, chaste, workers at home, kind, being in subjection to their own husbands, that God's word may not be blasphemed.

6Likewise, exhort the young men to be sober minded.

7In all things show yourself an example of good actions. In your teaching, show integrity, seriousness, incorruptibility, 8and soundness of speech that can't be condemned, that he who opposes you may be ashamed having no evil thing to say about us.
