Leviticus Chapter 10

⁶Moses said to Aaron, and to Eleazar and to Ithamar, his sons, "Don't let the hair of your heads go loose, and don't tear your clothes, so that you won't die, and so that he not be angry with all the congregation, but let your brothers, the whole house of Israel, bewail the burning which ForeverOne has kindled.

⁷Don't go out of the door of the Tent of Meeting, lest you die; for the anointing oil of ForeverOne is on you." They did according to the word of Moses.

⁸ForeverOne spoke to Aaron, saying, ⁹"Drink no wine nor strong drink, you, nor your sons with you, when you go into the Tent of Meeting, that you don't die: it shall be a statute forever throughout your generations: ¹⁰and that you are to make a distinction between the holy and the common, and between the unclean and the clean; ¹¹and that you are to teach the children of Israel all the statutes which ForeverOne has spoken to them by Moses." ¹²Moses spoke to Aaron, and to Eleazar and to Ithamar, his sons who were left, "Take the meal offering that remains of the offerings of ForeverOne made by fire, and eat it without yeast beside the altar; for it is most holy; ¹³and you shall eat it in a holy place, because it is your portion, and your sons' portion, of the offerings of ForeverOne made by fire: for so I am commanded.

¹⁴The waved breast and the heaved thigh you shall eat in a clean place, you, and your sons, and your daughters with you: for they are given as your portion, and your sons' portion, out of the sacrifices of the peace offerings of the children of Israel.

¹⁵The heaved thigh and the waved breast they shall bring with the offerings made by fire of the fat, to wave it for a wave offering before ForeverOne: and it shall be yours, and your sons' with you, as a portion forever; as ForeverOne has commanded."

Isaiah Chapter 14

¹⁸All the kings of the nations, sleep in glory, everyone in his own house.

¹⁹But you are thrown away from your tomb like an abominable branch, clothed with the slain, who are thrust through with the sword, who go down to the stones of the pit; like a dead body trodden under foot.

²⁰You will not join them in burial, because you have destroyed your land. You have killed your people. The offspring of evildoers will not be named forever.

²¹Prepare for slaughter of his children because of the iniquity of their fathers, that they not rise up and possess the earth, and fill the surface of the world with cities.

²²"I will rise up against them," says ForeverOne of Armies, "and cut off from Babylon name and remnant, and son and son's son," says ForeverOne.

²³"I will also make it a possession for the porcupine, and pools of water. I will sweep it with the broom of destruction," says ForeverOne of Armies.

²⁴ForeverOne of Armies has sworn, saying, "Surely, as I have thought, so shall it happen; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand: ²⁵that I will break the Assyrian in my land, and tread him under foot on my mountains. Then his yoke will leave them, and his burden leave their shoulders.

²⁶This is the plan that is determined for the whole earth. This is the hand that is stretched out over all the nations.

²⁷For ForeverOne of Armies has planned, and who can stop it? His hand is stretched out, and who can turn it back?" ²⁸This burden was in the year that king Ahaz died.

²⁹Don't rejoice, O Philistia, all of you, because the rod that struck you is broken; for out of the serpent's root an adder will emerge, and his fruit will be a fiery flying serpent.

³⁰The firstborn of the poor will eat, and the needy will lie down in safety; and I will kill your root with famine, and your remnant will be killed.

³¹Howl, gate! Cry, city! You are melted away, Philistia, all of you; for smoke comes out of the north, and there is no straggler in his ranks.

³²What will they answer the messengers of the nation? That ForeverOne has founded Zion, and in her the afflicted of his people will take refuge.

Isaiah Chapter 15

¹The burden of Moab: for in a night, Ar of Moab is laid waste, and brought to nothing; for in a night Kir of Moab is laid waste, and brought to nothing.

²They have gone up to Bayith, and to Dibon, to the high places, to weep. Moab wails over Nebo and over Medeba. Baldness is on all of their heads. Every beard is cut off.

³In their streets, they clothe themselves in sackcloth. In their streets and on their housetops, everyone wails, weeping abundantly.

⁴Heshbon cries out with Elealeh. Their voice is heard even to Jahaz. Therefore the armed men of Moab cry aloud. Their souls tremble within them.

⁵My heart cries out for Moab! Her nobles flee to Zoar, to Eglath Shelishiyah; for they go up by the ascent of Luhith with weeping; for in the way of Horonaim, they raise up a cry of destruction.

⁶For the waters of Nimrim will be desolate; for the grass has withered away, the tender grass fails, there is no green thing.

⁷Therefore they will carry away the abundance they have obtained, and what they have stored up, over the brook of the willows.

⁸For the cry has gone around the borders of Moab; its wailing to Eglaim, and its wailing to Beer Elim.

⁹For the waters of Dimon are full of blood; for I will bring yet more on Dimon, a lion on those of Moab who escape, and on the remnant of the land.

Job Chapter 33

¹⁴For God speaks once, yes twice, though man pays no attention.

¹⁵In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on men, in slumbering on the bed; ¹⁶Then he opens the ears of men, and seals their instruction, ¹⁷That he may withdraw man from his purpose, and hide pride from man.

¹⁸He keeps back his soul from the pit, and his life from perishing by the sword.

¹⁹He is chastened also with pain on his bed, with continual strife in his bones; ²⁰So that his life abhors bread, and his soul dainty food.

²¹His flesh is so consumed away, that it can't be seen. His bones that were not seen stick out.

²²Yes, his soul draws near to the pit, and his life to the destroyers.

²³"If there is beside him an angel, an interpreter, one among a thousand, to show to man what is right for him; ²⁴then He is gracious to him, and says, 'Deliver him from going down to the pit, I have found a ransom.' ²⁵His flesh shall be fresher than a child's. He returns to the days of his youth.

²⁶He prays to God, and he is favorable to him, so that he sees his face with joy. He restores to man his righteousness.

²⁷He sings before men, and says, 'I have sinned, and perverted what was right, and it didn't profit me.

²⁸He has redeemed my soul from going into the pit. My life shall see the light.' ²⁹"Behold, God works all these things, twice, yes three times, with a man, ³⁰to bring back his soul from the pit, that he may be enlightened with the light of the living.

³¹Mark well, Job, and listen to me. Hold your peace, and I will speak.

³²If you have anything to say, answer me. Speak, for I desire to justify you.

³³If not, listen to me. Hold your peace, and I will teach you wisdom."

Job Chapter 34

³For the ear tries words, as the palate tastes food.

⁴Let us choose for us what is right. Let us know among ourselves what is good.

⁵For Job has said, 'I am righteous, God has taken away my right: ⁶Notwithstanding my right I am considered a liar. My wound is incurable, though I am without disobedience.' ⁷What man is like Job, who drinks scorn like water, ⁸Who goes in company with the workers of iniquity, and walks with wicked men?

⁹For he has said, 'It profits a man nothing that he should delight himself with God.'

Acts Chapter 7

⁵⁴Now when they heard these things, they were cut to the heart, and they gnashed at him with their teeth.

⁵⁵But he, being full of the Holy Spirit, looked up steadfastly into heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God, ⁵⁶and said, "Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God!" ⁵⁷But they cried out with a loud voice and stopped their ears, then rushed at him with one accord.

⁵⁸They threw him out of the city and stoned him. The witnesses placed their garments at the feet of a young man named Saul.

⁵⁹They stoned Stephen as he called out, saying, "Lord Jesus, receive my spirit!" ⁶⁰He kneeled down, and cried with a loud voice, "Lord, don't hold this sin against them!" When he had said this, he fell asleep.

Acts Chapter 8

¹Saul was consenting to his death. A great persecution arose against the assembly which was in Jerusalem in that day. They were all scattered abroad throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except for the apostles.

²Devout men buried Stephen and lamented greatly over him.

³But Saul ravaged the assembly, entering into every house and dragged both men and women off to prison.

⁴So those who were scattered abroad went around preaching the word.

⁵Philip went down to the city of Samaria, and proclaimed to them the AnointedOne.

⁶The multitudes listened with one accord to the things that were spoken by Philip when they heard and saw the signs which he did.

⁷For unclean spirits came out of many of those who had them. They came out, crying with a loud voice. Many who had been paralyzed and lame were healed.

⁸There was great joy in that city.

⁹But there was a certain man, Simon by name, who used to practice sorcery in the city and amazed the people of Samaria, making himself out to be some great one, ¹⁰to whom they all listened, from the least to the greatest, saying, "This man is that great power of God." ¹¹They listened to him, because for a long time he had amazed them with his sorceries.

¹²But when they believed Philip preaching good news concerning God's Kingdom and the name of Jesus AnointedOne, they were baptized, both men and women.

¹³Simon himself also believed. Being baptized, he continued with Philip. Seeing signs and great miracles occurring, he was amazed.

¹⁴Now when the apostles who were at Jerusalem heard that Samaria had received the word of God, they sent Peter and John to them, ¹⁵who, when they had come down, prayed for them, that they might receive the Holy Spirit; ¹⁶for as yet he had fallen on none of them. They had only been baptized into the name of the Lord Jesus.

¹⁷Then they laid their hands on them, and they received the Holy Spirit.
