Numbers Chapter 35

1ForeverOne spoke to Moses in the plains of Moab by the Jordan at Jericho, saying, 2"Command the children of Israel that they give to the Levites of the inheritance of their possession cities to dwell in; and you shall give suburbs for the cities around them to the Levites.

3The cities shall they have to dwell in; and their suburbs shall be for their livestock, and for their substance, and for all their animals.

4"The suburbs of the cities, which you shall give to the Levites, shall be from the wall of the city and outward one thousand cubits around it.

5You shall measure outside of the city for the east side two thousand cubits, and for the south side two thousand cubits, and for the west side two thousand cubits, and for the north side two thousand cubits, the city being in the midst. This shall be to them the suburbs of the cities.

6"The cities which you shall give to the Levites, they shall be the six cities of refuge, which you shall give for the manslayer to flee to: and besides them you shall give forty-two cities.

7All the cities which you shall give to the Levites shall be forty-eight cities together with their suburbs.

8Concerning the cities which you shall give of the possession of the children of Israel, from the many you shall take many; and from the few you shall take few: everyone according to his inheritance which he inherits shall give of his cities to the Levites." 9ForeverOne spoke to Moses, saying, 10"Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them, 'When you pass over the Jordan into the land of Canaan, 11then you shall appoint you cities to be cities of refuge for you, that the manslayer who kills any person unwittingly may flee there.

12The cities shall be to you for refuge from the avenger, that the manslayer not die, until he stands before the congregation for judgment.

13The cities which you shall give shall be for you six cities of refuge.

14You shall give three cities beyond the Jordan, and you shall give three cities in the land of Canaan; they shall be cities of refuge.

15For the children of Israel, and for the stranger and for the foreigner living among them, shall these six cities be for refuge; that everyone who kills any person unwittingly may flee there.

16"'But if he struck him with an instrument of iron, so that he died, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death.

17If he struck him with a stone in the hand, by which a man may die, and he died, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death.

18Or if he struck him with a weapon of wood in the hand, by which a man may die, and he died, he is a murderer: the murderer shall surely be put to death.

19The avenger of blood shall himself put the murderer to death: when he meets him, he shall put him to death.

Ezekiel 25:8-26:14

24 verses

Ezekiel Chapter 25

8Thus says the Lord ForeverOne: Because Moab and Seir say, Behold, the house of Judah is like all the nations; 9therefore, behold, I will open the side of Moab from the cities, from his cities which are on his frontiers, the glory of the country, Beth Jeshimoth, Baal Meon, and Kiriathaim, 10to the children of the east, [to go] against the children of Ammon; and I will give them for a possession, that the children of Ammon may not be remembered among the nations.

11and I will execute judgments on Moab; and they shall know that I am ForeverOne.

12Thus says the Lord ForeverOne: Because Edom has dealt against the house of Judah by taking vengeance, and has greatly offended, and revenged himself on them; 13therefore thus says the Lord ForeverOne, I will stretch out my hand on Edom, and will cut off man and animal from it; and I will make it desolate from Teman; even to Dedan shall they fall by the sword.

14I will lay my vengeance on Edom by the hand of my people Israel; and they shall do in Edom according to my anger and according to my wrath; and they shall know my vengeance, says the Lord ForeverOne.

15Thus says the Lord ForeverOne: Because the Philistines have dealt by revenge, and have taken vengeance with despite of soul to destroy with perpetual enmity; 16therefore thus says the Lord ForeverOne, Behold, I will stretch out my hand on the Philistines, and I will cut off the Cherethites, and destroy the remnant of the sea coast.

17I will execute great vengeance on them with wrathful rebukes; and they shall know that I am ForeverOne, when I shall lay my vengeance on them.

Ezekiel Chapter 26

1It happened in the eleventh year, in the first [day] of the month, that the word of ForeverOne came to me, saying, 2Son of man, because Tyre has said against Jerusalem, Aha, she is broken: the gate of the peoples; she is turned to me; I shall be replenished, now that she is laid waste: 3therefore thus says the Lord ForeverOne, Behold, I am against you, Tyre, and will cause many nations to come up against you, as the sea causes its waves to come up.

4They shall destroy the walls of Tyre, and break down her towers: I will also scrape her dust from her, and make her a bare rock.

5She shall be a place for the spreading of nets in the midst of the sea; for I have spoken it, says the Lord ForeverOne; and she shall become a spoil to the nations.

6Her daughters who are in the field shall be slain with the sword: and they shall know that I am ForeverOne.

7For thus says the Lord ForeverOne: Behold, I will bring on Tyre Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, king of kings, from the north, with horses, and with chariots, and with horsemen, and a company, and many people.

8He shall kill your daughters in the field with the sword; and he shall make forts against you, and cast up a mound against you, and raise up the buckler against you.

9He shall set his battering engines against your walls, and with his axes he shall break down your towers.

10By reason of the abundance of his horses their dust shall cover you: your walls shall shake at the noise of the horsemen, and of the wagons, and of the chariots, when he shall enter into your gates, as men enter into a city in which is made a breach.

11With the hoofs of his horses shall he tread down all your streets; he shall kill your people with the sword; and the pillars of your strength shall go down to the ground.

12They shall make a spoil of your riches, and make a prey of your merchandise; and they shall break down your walls, and destroy your pleasant houses; and they shall lay your stones and your timber and your dust in the midst of the waters.

13I will cause the noise of your songs to cease; and the sound of your harps shall be no more heard.

14I will make you a bare rock; you shall be a place for the spreading of nets; you shall be built no more: for I ForeverOne have spoken it, says the Lord ForeverOne.

Section 3

Proverbs 12:22-13:22

29 verses

Proverbs Chapter 12

22Lying lips are an abomination to ForeverOne, but those who do the truth are his delight.

23A prudent man keeps his knowledge, but the hearts of fools proclaim foolishness.

24The hands of the diligent ones shall rule, but laziness ends in slave labor.

25Anxiety in a man's heart weighs it down, but a kind word makes it glad.

26A righteous person is cautious in friendship, but the way of the wicked leads them astray.

27The slothful man doesn't roast his game, but the possessions of diligent men are prized.

28In the way of righteousness is life; in its path there is no death.

Proverbs Chapter 13

1A wise son listens to his father's instruction, but a scoffer doesn't listen to rebuke.

2By the fruit of his lips, a man enjoys good things; but the unfaithful crave violence.

3He who guards his mouth guards his soul. One who opens wide his lips comes to ruin.

4The soul of the sluggard desires, and has nothing, but the desire of the diligent shall be fully satisfied.

5A righteous man hates lies, but a wicked man brings shame and disgrace.

6Righteousness guards the way of integrity, but wickedness overthrows the sinner.

7There are some who pretend to be rich, yet have nothing. There are some who pretend to be poor, yet have great wealth.

8The ransom of a man's life is his riches, but the poor hear no threats.

9The light of the righteous shines brightly, but the lamp of the wicked is snuffed out.

10Pride only breeds quarrels, but with ones who take advice is wisdom.

11Wealth gained dishonestly dwindles away, but he who gathers by hand makes it grow.

12Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when longing is fulfilled, it is a tree of life.

13Whoever despises instruction will pay for it, but he who respects a command will be rewarded.

14The teaching of the wise is a spring of life, to turn from the snares of death.

15Good understanding wins favor; but the way of the unfaithful is hard.

16Every prudent man acts from knowledge, but a fool exposes folly.

17A wicked messenger falls into trouble, but a trustworthy envoy gains healing.

18Poverty and shame come to him who refuses discipline, but he who heeds correction shall be honored.

19Longing fulfilled is sweet to the soul, but fools detest turning from evil.

20One who walks with wise men grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm.

21Misfortune pursues sinners, but prosperity rewards the righteous.

22A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children, but the wealth of the sinner is stored for the righteous.

Section 4

1 Timothy 5

25 verses

1 Timothy Chapter 5

1Don't rebuke an older man, but exhort him as a father; the younger men as brothers; 2the elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, in all purity.

3Honor widows who are widows indeed.

4But if any widow has children or grandchildren, let them first learn to demonstrate their faith toward their own family and repay their parents, for this is acceptable in the sight of God.

5Now she who is a widow indeed and desolate, has her hope set on God, and continues in petitions and prayers night and day.

6But she who gives herself to pleasure is dead while she lives.

7Also command these things, that they may be without reproach.

8But if anyone doesn't provide for his own, and especially his own household, he has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever.

9Let no one be enrolled as a widow under sixty years old, having been the wife of one man, 10being approved by good actions, if she has brought up children, if she has been hospitable to strangers, if she has washed the saints' feet, if she has relieved the afflicted, and if she has diligently followed every good work.

11But refuse younger widows, for when they have grown wanton against the AnointedOne, they desire to marry, 12having condemnation, because they have rejected their first pledge.

13Besides, they also learn to be idle, going about from house to house. Not only idle, but also gossips and busybodies, saying things which they ought not.

14So I desire that the younger widows marry, bear children, rule the household, and give no occasion to the adversary for insulting.

15For already some have turned away following Satan.

16If any man or woman who believes has widows, let them relieve them, and don't let the assembly be burdened, that it might relieve those who are widows indeed.

17Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in the word and in teaching.

18For the Scripture says, "You shall not muzzle the ox when it treads out the grain." And, "The laborer is worthy of his wages." 19Don't receive an accusation against an elder, except at the word of two or three witnesses.

20Those who sin, reprove in the sight of all, that the rest also may be in fear.

21I command you in the sight of God, and AnointedOne Jesus, and the chosen angels, that you observe these things without prejudice, doing nothing by partiality.

22Don't lay hands hastily on anyone. Don't be a participant in other people's sins. Keep yourself pure.

23Be no longer a drinker of water only, but use a little wine for your stomach's sake and your frequent infirmities.

24Some men's sins are evident, preceding them to judgment, and some also follow later.

25In the same way also there are good actions that are obvious, and those that are otherwise can't be hidden.
