Section 1

Numbers Chapter 4

1TheIAM (Yahweh) spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying, 2"Take a census of the sons of Kohath from among the sons of Levi, by their families, by their fathers' houses, 3from thirty years old and upward even until fifty years old, all who enter into the service, to do the work in the Tent of Meeting. 4"This is the service of the sons of Kohath in the Tent of Meeting, the most holy things. 5When the camp moves forward, Aaron shall go in, and his sons, and they shall take down the veil of the screen, and cover the ark of the Testimony with it, 6and shall put a covering of sealskin on it, and shall spread over it a cloth all of blue, and shall put in its poles. 7"On the table of show bread they shall spread a blue cloth, and put on it the dishes, the spoons, the bowls, and the cups with which to pour out; and the continual bread shall be on it. 8They shall spread on them a scarlet cloth, and cover the same with a covering of sealskin, and shall put in its poles. 9"They shall take a blue cloth, and cover the lampstand of the light, and its lamps, and its snuffers, and its snuff dishes, and all its oil vessels, with which they minister to it. 10They shall put it and all its vessels within a covering of sealskin, and shall put it on the frame. 11"On the golden altar they shall spread a blue cloth, and cover it with a covering of sealskin, and shall put in its poles. 12"They shall take all the vessels of ministry, with which they minister in the sanctuary, and put them in a blue cloth, and cover them with a covering of sealskin, and shall put them on the frame. 13"They shall take away the ashes from the altar, and spread a purple cloth on it. 14They shall put on it all its vessels, with which they minister about it, the fire pans, the flesh hooks, the shovels, and the basins; all the vessels of the altar; and they shall spread on it a covering of sealskin, and put in its poles. 15"When Aaron and his sons have finished covering the sanctuary, and all the furniture of the sanctuary, as the camp moves forward; after that, the sons of Kohath shall come to carry it: but they shall not touch the sanctuary, lest they die. These things are the burden of the sons of Kohath in the Tent of Meeting. 16"The duty of Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest shall be the oil for the light, the sweet incense, the continual meal offering, and the anointing oil, the requirements of all the tabernacle, and of all that is in it, the sanctuary, and its furnishings." 17TheIAM (Yahweh) spoke to Moses and to Aaron, saying, 18"Don't cut off the tribe of the families of the Kohathites from among the Levites; 19but thus do to them, that they may live, and not die, when they approach to the most holy things: Aaron and his sons shall go in, and appoint them everyone to his service and to his burden; 20but they shall not go in to see the sanctuary even for a moment, lest they die." 21TheIAM (Yahweh) spoke to Moses, saying, 22"Take a census of the sons of Gershon also, by their fathers' houses, by their families; 23you shall count them from thirty years old and upward until fifty years old; all who enter in to wait on the service, to do the work in the Tent of Meeting. 24"This is the service of the families of the Gershonites, in serving and in bearing burdens: 25they shall carry the curtains of the tabernacle, and the Tent of Meeting, its covering, and the covering of sealskin that is above on it, and the screen for the door of the Tent of Meeting, 26and the hangings of the court, and the screen for the door of the gate of the court, which is by the tabernacle and around the altar, and their cords, and all the instruments of their service, and whatever shall be done with them. Therein shall they serve. 27At the commandment of Aaron and his sons shall be all the service of the sons of the Gershonites, in all their burden, and in all their service; and you shall appoint their duty to them in all their responsibilities. 28This is the service of the families of the sons of the Gershonites in the Tent of Meeting: and their duty shall be under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest. 29"As for the sons of Merari, you shall number them by their families, by their fathers' houses; 30you shall count them from thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old, everyone who enters on the service, to do the work of the Tent of Meeting. 31This is the duty of their burden, according to all their service in the Tent of Meeting: the tabernacle's boards, its bars, its pillars, its sockets, 32and the pillars of the court around it, and their sockets, and their pins, and their cords, with all their instruments, and with all their service: and by name you shall appoint the instruments of the duty of their burden. 33This is the service of the families of the sons of Merari, according to all their service, in the Tent of Meeting, under the hand of Ithamar the son of Aaron the priest." 34Moses and Aaron and the princes of the congregation numbered the sons of the Kohathites by their families, and by their fathers' houses, 35from thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old, everyone who entered into the service, for work in the Tent of Meeting. 36Those who were numbered of them by their families were two thousand seven hundred fifty. 37These are those who were numbered of the families of the Kohathites, all who served in the Tent of Meeting, whom Moses and Aaron numbered according to the commandment of TheIAM (Yahweh) by Moses. 38Those who were numbered of the sons of Gershon, their families, and by their fathers' houses, 39from thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old, everyone who entered into the service, for work in the Tent of Meeting, 40even those who were numbered of them, by their families, by their fathers' houses, were two thousand six hundred thirty. 41These are those who were numbered of the families of the sons of Gershon, all who served in the Tent of Meeting, whom Moses and Aaron numbered according to the commandment of TheIAM (Yahweh) . 42Those who were numbered of the families of the sons of Merari, by their families, by their fathers' houses, 43from thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old, everyone who entered into the service, for work in the Tent of Meeting, 44even those who were numbered of them by their families, were three thousand two hundred. 45These are those who were numbered of the families of the sons of Merari, whom Moses and Aaron numbered according to the commandment of TheIAM (Yahweh) by Moses. 46All those who were numbered of the Levites, whom Moses and Aaron and the princes of Israel numbered, by their families, and by their fathers' houses, 47from thirty years old and upward even to fifty years old, everyone who entered in to do the work of service, and the work of bearing burdens in the Tent of Meeting, 48even those who were numbered of them, were eight thousand five hundred eighty. 49According to the commandment of TheIAM (Yahweh) they were numbered by Moses, everyone according to his service, and according to his burden. Thus were they numbered by him, as TheIAM (Yahweh) commanded Moses.

Section 2

Jeremiah Chapter 11

14Therefore don't pray for this people, neither lift up cry nor prayer for them; for I will not hear them in the time that they cry to me because of their trouble. 15What has my beloved to do in my house, since she has worked lewdness [with] many, and the holy flesh is passed from you? when you do evil, then you rejoice. 16TheIAM (Yahweh) called your name, A green olive tree, beautiful with goodly fruit: with the noise of a great tumult he has kindled fire on it, and its branches are broken. 17For TheIAM (Yahweh) of Armies, who planted you, has pronounced evil against you, because of the evil of the house of Israel and of the house of Judah, which they have worked for themselves in provoking me to anger by offering incense to Baal. 18TheIAM (Yahweh) gave me knowledge of it, and I knew it: then you showed me their doings. 19But I was like a gentle lamb that is led to the slaughter; and I didn't know that they had devised devices against me, [saying], Let us destroy the tree with its fruit, and let us cut him off from the land of the living, that his name may be no more remembered. 20But, TheIAM (Yahweh) of Armies, who judges righteously, who tests the heart and the mind, I shall see your vengeance on them; for to you have I revealed my cause. 21Therefore thus says TheIAM (Yahweh) concerning the men of Anathoth, who seek your life, saying, You shall not prophesy in the name of TheIAM (Yahweh) , that you not die by our hand; 22therefore thus says TheIAM (Yahweh) of Armies, Behold, I will punish them: the young men shall die by the sword; their sons and their daughters shall die by famine; 23and there shall be no remnant to them: for I will bring evil on the men of Anathoth, even the year of their visitation.

Jeremiah Chapter 12

1You are righteous, TheIAM (Yahweh) , when I contend with you; yet I would reason the cause with you: why does the way of the wicked prosper? why are all they at ease who deal very treacherously? 2You have planted them, yes, they have taken root; they grow, yes, they bring forth fruit: you are near in their mouth, and far from their heart. 3But you, TheIAM (Yahweh) , know me; you see me, and try my heart toward you: pull them out like sheep for the slaughter, and prepare them for the day of slaughter. 4How long shall the land mourn, and the plants (esev) of the whole country wither? for the wickedness of those who dwell therein, the animals are consumed, and the birds; because they said, He shall not see our latter end. 5If you have run with the footmen, and they have wearied you, then how can you contend with horses? and though in a land of peace you are secure, yet how will you do in the pride of the Jordan? 6For even your brothers, and the house of your father, even they have dealt treacherously with you; even they have cried aloud after you: don't believe them, though they speak beautiful words to you. 7I have forsaken my house, I have cast off my heritage; I have given the dearly beloved of my soul into the hand of her enemies. 8My heritage is become to me as a lion in the forest: she has uttered her voice against me; therefore I have hated her. 9Is my heritage to me as a speckled bird of prey? are the birds of prey against her all around? Go, assemble all the animals of the field, bring them to devour. 10Many shepherds have destroyed my vineyard, they have trodden my portion under foot, they have made my pleasant portion a desolate wilderness. 11They have made it a desolation; it mourns to me, being desolate; the whole land is made desolate, because no man lays it to heart. 12Destroyers are come on all the bare heights in the wilderness; for the sword of TheIAM (Yahweh) devours from the one end of the land even to the other end of the land: no flesh has peace. 13They have sown wheat, and have reaped thorns; they have put themselves to pain, and profit nothing: and you shall be ashamed of your fruits, because of the fierce anger of TheIAM (Yahweh) .

Section 3

Psalm 67

For the Chief Musician. With stringed instruments. A Psalm. A song. 1May God (Elohim) be merciful to us, bless us, and cause his face to shine on us. Selah. 2That your way may be known on earth, and your salvation among all nations, 3let the peoples praise you, God (Elohim) . Let all the peoples praise you. 4Oh let the nations be glad and sing for joy, for you will judge the peoples with equity, and govern the nations on earth. Selah. 5Let the peoples praise you, God (Elohim) . Let all the peoples praise you. 6The earth has yielded its increase. God (Elohim) , even our own God (Elohim) , will bless us. 7God (Elohim) will bless us. All the ends of the earth shall fear him.

Psalm 68

For the Chief Musician. A Psalm by David. A song. 1Let God (Elohim) arise! Let his enemies be scattered! Let them who hate him also flee before him. 2As smoke is driven away, so drive them away. As wax melts before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God (Elohim) . 3But let the righteous be glad. Let them rejoice before God (Elohim) . Yes, let them rejoice with gladness. 4Sing to God (Elohim) ! Sing praises to his name! Extol him who rides on the clouds: to IAM (Yah) , his name! Rejoice before him! 5A father of the fatherless, and a defender of the widows, is God (Elohim) in his holy habitation. 6God (Elohim) sets the lonely in families. He brings out the prisoners with singing, but the rebellious dwell in a sun-scorched land. 7God (Elohim) , when you went out before your people, when you marched through the wilderness... Selah. 8The earth trembled. The sky also poured down rain at the presence of the God (Elohim) of Sinai - at the presence of God (Elohim) , the God (Elohim) of Israel. 9You, God (Elohim) , sent a plentiful rain. You confirmed your inheritance, when it was weary. 10Your congregation lived therein. You, God (Elohim) , prepared your goodness for the poor. 11The Lord (Adonai) announced the word. The ones who proclaim it are a great company. 12"Kings of armies flee! They flee!" She who waits at home divides the spoil, 13while you sleep among the campfires, the wings of a dove sheathed with silver, her feathers with shining gold. 14When the Almighty (Shaddai) scattered kings in her, it snowed on Zalmon. 15The mountains of Bashan are majestic (Elohim) mountains. The mountains of Bashan are rugged. 16Why do you look in envy, you rugged mountains, at the mountain where God (Elohim) chooses to reign? Yes, TheIAM (Yahweh) will dwell there forever.

Section 4

Romans Chapter 9

29As Isaiah has said before, "Unless the Lord (Kurios) of Armies had left (Enkataleipo) us a seed, we would have become like Sodom, and would have been made like Gomorrah." 30What shall we say then? That the Gentiles, who didn't follow after righteousness, attained to righteousness, even the righteousness which is of faith; 31but Israel, following after a law of righteousness, didn't arrive at the law of righteousness. 32Why? Because they didn't seek it by faith, but as it were by works of the law. They stumbled over the stumbling stone; 33even as it is written, "Behold, I lay in Zion a stumbling stone and a rock of offense; and no one who believes in him will be disappointed."

Romans Chapter 10

1Brothers, my heart's desire and my prayer to God is for Israel, that they may be saved. 2For I testify about them that they have a zeal for God, but not according to knowledge. 3For being ignorant of God's righteousness, and seeking to establish their own righteousness, they didn't subject themselves to the righteousness of God. 4For the AnointedOne (Kristos) is the fulfillment of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes. 5For Moses writes about the righteousness of the law, "The one who does them will live by them." 6But the righteousness which is of faith says this, "Don't say in your heart, 'Who will ascend into heaven?' (that is, to bring the AnointedOne (Kristos) down); 7or, 'Who will descend into the abyss?' (that is, to bring the AnointedOne (Kristos) up from the dead.)" 8But what does it say? "The word is near you, in your mouth, and in your heart;" that is, the word of faith, which we preach: 9that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord (Kurios) , and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. 11For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes in him will not be disappointed." 12For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; for the same Lord (Kurios) [is Lord] of all, and is rich to all who call on him. 13For, "Whoever will call on the name of the Lord (Kurios) will be saved." 14How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? How will they believe in him whom they have not heard? How will they hear without a preacher? 15And how will they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the Good News of peace, who bring glad tidings of good things!"
