Section 1
1Now this is the history of the generations of Aaron and Moses in the day that TheIAM (Yahweh) spoke with Moses in Mount Sinai. 2These are the names of the sons of Aaron: Nadab the firstborn, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar. 3These are the names of the sons of Aaron, the priests who were anointed, whom he consecrated to minister in the priest's office. 4Nadab and Abihu died before TheIAM (Yahweh) , when they offered strange fire before TheIAM (Yahweh) , in the wilderness of Sinai, and they had no children. Eleazar and Ithamar ministered in the priest's office in the presence of Aaron their father. 5TheIAM (Yahweh) spoke to Moses, saying, 6"Bring the tribe of Levi near, and set them before Aaron the priest, that they may minister to him. 7They shall keep his requirements, and the requirements of the whole congregation before the Tent of Meeting, to do the service of the tabernacle. 8They shall keep all the furnishings of the Tent of Meeting, and the obligations of the children of Israel, to do the service of the tabernacle. 9You shall give the Levites to Aaron and to his sons. They are wholly given to him on the behalf of the children of Israel. 10You shall appoint Aaron and his sons, and they shall keep their priesthood. The stranger who comes near shall be put to death." 11TheIAM (Yahweh) spoke to Moses, saying, 12"Behold, I have taken the Levites from among the children of Israel instead of all the firstborn who open the womb among the children of Israel; and the Levites shall be mine: 13for all the firstborn are mine. On the day that I struck down all the firstborn in the land of Egypt I made holy to me all the firstborn in Israel, both man and animal. They shall be mine. I am TheIAM (Yahweh) ." 14TheIAM (Yahweh) spoke to Moses in the wilderness of Sinai, saying, 15"Count the children of Levi by their fathers' houses, by their families. You shall count every male from a month old and upward." 16Moses numbered them according to the word of TheIAM (Yahweh) , as he was commanded. 17These were the sons of Levi by their names: Gershon, and Kohath, and Merari. 18These are the names of the sons of Gershon by their families: Libni and Shimei. 19The sons of Kohath by their families: Amram, and Izhar, Hebron, and Uzziel. 20The sons of Merari by their families: Mahli and Mushi. These are the families of the Levites according to their fathers' houses. 21Of Gershon was the family of the Libnites, and the family of the Shimeites: these are the families of the Gershonites. 22Those who were numbered of them, according to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, even those who were numbered of them were seven thousand five hundred. 23The families of the Gershonites shall encamp behind the tabernacle westward. 24The prince of the fathers' house of the Gershonites shall be Eliasaph the son of Lael. 25The duty of the sons of Gershon in the Tent of Meeting shall be the tabernacle, and the tent, its covering, and the screen for the door of the Tent of Meeting, 26and the hangings of the court, and the screen for the door of the court, which is by the tabernacle, and around the altar, and its cords for all of its service. 27Of Kohath was the family of the Amramites, and the family of the Izharites, and the family of the Hebronites, and the family of the Uzzielites: these are the families of the Kohathites. 28According to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, there were eight thousand six hundred, keeping the requirements of the sanctuary. 29The families of the sons of Kohath shall encamp on the south side of the tabernacle. 30The prince of the fathers' house of the families of the Kohathites shall be Elizaphan the son of Uzziel. 31Their duty shall be the ark, the table, the lamp stand, the altars, the vessels of the sanctuary with which they minister, and the screen, and all its service. 32Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest shall be prince of the princes of the Levites, with the oversight of those who keep the requirements of the sanctuary. 33Of Merari was the family of the Mahlites, and the family of the Mushites. These are the families of Merari. 34Those who were numbered of them, according to the number of all the males, from a month old and upward, were six thousand two hundred. 35The prince of the fathers' house of the families of Merari was Zuriel the son of Abihail. They shall encamp on the north side of the tabernacle. 36The appointed duty of the sons of Merari shall be the tabernacle's boards, its bars, its pillars, its sockets, all its instruments, all its service, 37the pillars of the court around it, their sockets, their pins, and their cords. 38Those who encamp before the tabernacle eastward, in front of the Tent of Meeting toward the sunrise, shall be Moses, and Aaron and his sons, keeping the requirements of the sanctuary for the duty of the children of Israel. The stranger who comes near shall be put to death. 39All who were numbered of the Levites, whom Moses and Aaron numbered at the commandment of TheIAM (Yahweh) , by their families, all the males from a month old and upward, were twenty-two thousand. 40TheIAM (Yahweh) said to Moses, "Number all the firstborn males of the children of Israel from a month old and upward, and take the number of their names. 41You shall take the Levites for me (I am TheIAM (Yahweh) ) instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel; and the livestock of the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the livestock of the children of Israel." 42Moses numbered, as TheIAM (Yahweh) commanded him, all the firstborn among the children of Israel. 43All the firstborn males according to the number of names, from a month old and upward, of those who were numbered of them, were twenty-two thousand two hundred seventy-three. 44TheIAM (Yahweh) spoke to Moses, saying, 45"Take the Levites instead of all the firstborn among the children of Israel, and the livestock of the Levites instead of their livestock; and the Levites shall be mine. I am TheIAM (Yahweh) . 46For the redemption of the two hundred seventy-three of the firstborn of the children of Israel, who exceed the number of the Levites, 47you shall take five shekels apiece for each one; after the shekel of the sanctuary you shall take them (the shekel is twenty gerahs): 48and you shall give the money, with which the remainder of them is redeemed, to Aaron and to his sons." 49Moses took the redemption money from those who exceeded the number of those who were redeemed by the Levites; 50from the firstborn of the children of Israel he took the money, one thousand three hundred sixty-five shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary: 51and Moses gave the redemption money to Aaron and to his sons, according to the word of TheIAM (Yahweh) , as TheIAM (Yahweh) commanded Moses.
Section 2
8How do you say, We are wise, and the law of TheIAM (Yahweh) is with us? But (Aken) , behold, the false pen of the scribes has worked falsely. 9The wise men are disappointed, they are dismayed and taken: behold, they have rejected the word of TheIAM (Yahweh) ; and what kind of wisdom is in them? 10Therefore will I give their wives to others, and their fields to those who shall possess them: for everyone from the least even to the greatest is given to covetousness; from the prophet even to the priest every one deals falsely. 11They have healed the hurt of the daughter of my people slightly, saying, Peace, peace; when there is no peace. 12Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? nay, they were not at all ashamed, neither could they blush: therefore shall they fall among those who fall; in the time of their visitation they shall be cast down, says TheIAM (Yahweh) . 13I will utterly consume them, says TheIAM (Yahweh) : no grapes shall be on the vine, nor figs on the fig tree, and the leaf shall fade; and [the things that] I have given them shall pass away from them. 14Why do we sit still? Assemble yourselves, and let us enter into the fortified cities, and let us be silent there; for TheIAM (Yahweh) our God (Elohim) has put us to silence, and given us water of gall to drink, because we have sinned against TheIAM (Yahweh) . 15We looked for peace, but no good came; [and] for a time of healing, and behold, dismay! 16The snorting of his horses is heard from Dan: at the sound of the neighing of his strong ones the whole land trembles; for they are come, and have devoured the land and all that is in it; the city and those who dwell therein. 17For, behold, I will send serpents, adders, among you, which will not be charmed; and they shall bite you, says TheIAM (Yahweh) . 18Oh that I could comfort myself against sorrow! My heart is faint within me. 19Behold, the voice of the cry of the daughter of my people from a land that is very far off: isn't TheIAM (Yahweh) in Zion? Isn't her King in her? Why have they provoked me to anger with their engraved images, and with foreign vanities? 20The harvest is past, the summer is ended, and we are not saved. 21For the hurt of the daughter of my people am I hurt: I mourn; dismay has taken hold on me. 22Is there no balm in Gilead? is there no physician there? why then isn't the health of the daughter of my people recovered?
1Oh that my head were waters, and my eyes a spring of tears, that I might weep day and night for the slain of the daughter of my people! 2Oh that I had in the wilderness a lodging place of wayfaring men; that I might leave my people, and go from them! for they are all adulterers, an assembly of treacherous men. 3They bend their tongue, [as it were] their bow, for falsehood; and they are grown strong in the land, but not for truth: for they proceed from evil to evil, and they don't know me, says TheIAM (Yahweh) . 4Take heed everyone of his neighbor, and don't trust in any brother; for every brother will utterly supplant, and every neighbor will go about with slanders. 5They will deceive everyone his neighbor, and will not speak the truth: they have taught their tongue to speak lies; they weary themselves to commit iniquity. 6Your habitation is in the midst of deceit; through deceit they refuse to know me, says TheIAM (Yahweh) . 7Therefore thus says TheIAM (Yahweh) of Armies, Behold, I will melt them, and try them; for how [else] should I do, because of the daughter of my people? 8Their tongue is a deadly arrow; it speaks deceit: one speaks peaceably to his neighbor with his mouth, but in his heart he lays wait for him. 9Shall I not visit them for these things? says TheIAM (Yahweh) ; shall not my soul be avenged on such a nation as this? 10For the mountains will I take up a weeping and wailing, and for the pastures of the wilderness a lamentation, because they are burned up, so that none passes through; neither can men hear the voice of the livestock; both the birds of the sky and the animals are fled, they are gone. 11I will make Jerusalem heaps, a dwelling place of jackals; and I will make the cities of Judah a desolation, without inhabitant.

For the Chief Musician. For a stringed instrument. By David. 1Hear my cry, God (Elohim) . Listen to my prayer. 2From the end of the earth, I will call to you, when my heart is overwhelmed. Lead me to the rock that is higher than I. 3For you have been a refuge for me, a strong tower from the enemy. 4I will dwell in your tent forever. I will take refuge in the shelter of your wings. Selah. 5For you, God (Elohim) , have heard my vows. You have given me the heritage of those who fear your name. 6You will prolong the king's life; his years shall be for generations. 7He shall be enthroned in God (Elohim) 's presence forever. Appoint your loving kindness and truth, that they may preserve him. 8So I will sing praise to your name forever, that I may fulfill my vows daily.

Section 4
1There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who don't walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. 2For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus made me free from the law of sin and of death. 3For what the law couldn't do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God did, sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh; 4that the ordinance of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 5For those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit, the things of the Spirit. 6For the mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace; 7because the mind of the flesh is hostile towards God; for it is not subject to God's law, neither indeed can it be. 8Those who are in the flesh can't please God. 9But you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if it is so that the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if any man doesn't have the Spirit of Christ, he is not his. 10If Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the spirit is alive because of righteousness. 11But if the Spirit of him who raised up Jesus from the dead dwells in you, he who raised up Christ Jesus from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit who dwells in you. 12So then, brothers, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. 13For if you live after the flesh, you must die; but if by the Spirit you put to death the deeds of the body, you will live. 14For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are children of God. 15For you didn't receive the spirit of slavery again to fear, but you received the Spirit of adoption, by whom we cry, "Abba! Father!" 16The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are children of God; 17and if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint heirs with Christ; if indeed we suffer with him, that we may also be glorified with him. 18For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which will be revealed toward us. 19For the creation waits with eager expectation for the children of God to be revealed. 20For the creation was subjected to vanity, not of its own will, but because of him who subjected it, in hope 21that the creation itself also will be delivered from the slavery of decay into the liberty of the glory of the children of God. 22For we know that the whole creation groans and travails in pain together until now. 23Not only so, but ourselves also, who have the first fruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for adoption, the redemption of our body. 24For we were saved in hope, but hope that is seen is not hope. For who hopes for that which he sees? 25But if we hope for that which we don't see, we wait for it with patience. 26In the same way, the Spirit also helps our weaknesses, for we don't know how to pray as we ought. But the Spirit himself makes intercession for us with groanings which can't be uttered. 27He who searches the hearts knows what is on the Spirit's mind, because he makes intercession for the saints according to God. 28We know that all things work together for good for those who love (Agapeo) God, to those who are called according to his purpose. 29For whom he foreknew, he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers. 30Whom he predestined, those he also called. Whom he called, those he also justified. Whom he justified, those he also glorified. 31What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32He who didn't spare his own Son, but delivered him up for us all, how would he not also with him freely give us all things? 33Who could bring a charge against God's chosen ones? It is God who justifies. 34Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, yes rather, who was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. 35Who shall separate us from the love (Agape) of Christ? Could oppression, or anguish, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36Even as it is written, "For your sake we are killed all day long. We were accounted as sheep for the slaughter." 37No, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved (Agapeo) us. 38For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love (Agape) of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord (Kurios) .
